Uh, I made one of these tier things to try and organize my thoughts on characters. Gonna probably make another post to explain my feelings on each individual character but here's the basics:

Wrath, Ed, and Al are all in the top tier because of their relationship with one another - and because Al is a great character and I will throw up.

Scar, Rosè, Gluttony, 48, Winry, and Lust are all in the same tier because I love them; They're technically still in the top/first tier, but this secondary tier is to say, "yeah, I love these guys too! But my understanding of their characters are basic level and while I did pay attention to them in the series - I was admittedly much more focused on Wrath." I would put Lust up higher (because of her correlation with Wrath) but it feels wrong to seperate her from Scar.

The third tier is the beginning of the neutral tier, they're simply ranked up higher because I love their designs or their personalities popped out to me. (Sig is ranked up so high because they could never make me hate him, and it wasn't his fault what Izumi did to Wrath.)

Neutral feelings tier sounds just like it says, I feel neutral about these characters. Or they're cool but they didn't catch my eye well enough (Dante and Envy are the acception to this, as well as the rejected Ishbalan (I forgot the proper English term), as they're extremely cool but (in terms of Dante and Envy) they did shit I wasn't fond of so I don't put them higher or lower. (The rejected Ishbalan is there because we didn't get to learn more about him, but I genuinely wanna know more about him!)

I hate everyone in the I HATE YOU category, but I feel conflicted in some way or another in terms of their character - the only acception is Elicia and Elkhart. Elkhart for being a villian I could barely wrap my head around ; And Elicia BECAUSE SHE GOT MORE SCREENTIME IN CHIBI PARTY THAN WRATH AND IM VERY PISSED OFF ABOUT IT!!!

Th who are you tier is just for characters that I wish had more screentime but at the same time I'm not very focused on it. (Yes, I do know who they are, I only called the category that for the sake of it.)

Animals. Self explainitory. There's mostly dogs and pigs here... I wish there was more cats! ( ´∀`)

Yes, a lot of my opinions are Wrath based - such as how characters may interact with him and whatnot. Yes, I know that's probably a weird way to sort characters around based on my opinion of them. However, that's the easiest way, or one of the easiest ways, for me to sort these characters based on my preference!

Or pushing ink, paper, books and other things around on the desk as Enver writes down his plans for leading the world to a catastrophe.

Shadowheart is not above forcing her to do a fashion show with whatever she uses as dress and clothing on her.

Sorry for the wait, I’ve been really busy this week because my husband and I are expecting to have twins really soon so I haven’t really been writing a whole lot and most of my asks are either queued or in my drafts. This was made like last minute so I hope it’s alright lol

Pairing: Fem!Durge!Tav x party (with Astarion as a love interest, I’m assuming?) ft. Gortash Genre: fluff Summary: ⬆️ Warnings: sexual themes/references to sex.

Basic Headcanons:

If Tav was tiny, I would believe that everyone has a different way to carry her.

Gale would keep her in the pocket of his robes.

Karlach and Wyll would probably carry her on their heads and just let her hold on to their horns if she needs to.

Lae’zel, Shadowheart, Minthara, Jaheira and Astarion would probably just carry her on their shoulders.

The animals, such as the owlbear cub, Scratch, and maybe even Halsin would just let her ride of either their backs or their heads.

Assuming that she’s no smaller than a hamster, Minsc and Boo would probably just let her chill in Boo’s little hamster ball until she’s needed in combat.

If we include Gortash in this, I feel like he’d just be fighting everyone over Tav all the time considering their past relationship. I mean, he’d probably love to have a pocket-sized ex, honestly. He’d just carry her around everywhere and never have to worry about anyone taking her because she’s buried and well-hidden in his pocket.

But assuming that her love interest is Astarion, it’s always an ongoing battle between her current lover and her ex-lover. She’s always being passed around between the two and fought over.

Gale likes to put her and boo inside of a floating resilience sphere and just carry her around like that.

Despite being small, she’s still pretty powerful in combat. Especially being the Dark Urge. Don’t let her looks fool you, because she’s equally as aggressive as she used to be when she was bigger.

An actual story now

Being small wasn’t the easiest. It was fun sometimes, but never easy. Especially when it comes to clothing and getting certain people’s attention.

Usually Tav’s party is able to loot the armor and clothing from their enemies after a battle, which Astarion and Shadowheart cut up and use to make armor and clothing that are small enough fit her. But there are some days where she has to figure it out herself and wrap scraps of fur, wool, or fabric around herself. But that doesn’t ever work because every time she tries to cover herself up, Astarion always ends up ripping it off, being the mildly perverted lover he is.

Of course, they can’t have sex anymore because of how small she is now, but that doesn’t mean he can’t admire her tiny little body. Right?

It was very rare for her to make DIY clothing, however, because Shadowheart was always coming up with something to dress her up in, with the help of Astarion. She’d often make Tav do little fashion shows for the clothing she and astarion made for Tav.

But when Tav isn’t with her friends, she’s usually off trying to annoy her ex-boyfriend or feeding her urges. Which is almost equally as frustrating as trying to cover herself up without having Astarion destroy everything.

She usually finds a way to climb on top of Enver’s desk. But it doesn’t usually do anything because he’s always hyper focused on terrorizing the world. She usually has to shove everything off of his desk for him to notice she’s there. But when he does notice her, she’s never able to annoy him like she wanted to. Instead he ends up being the annoying one.

“Pssssst!”

Kiya cracked her eyes open, the familiar chakra not any cause for concern. Standing in her doorway was the silhouette of little Naruto, complete with his adorable little sleeping cap perched on his blond head.

“Kiya-nee!” Naruto whisper-yelled, inching closer into her bedroom.

Resisting the urge to groan, Kiya sat up in bed and rubbed her eyes. “What is it?” She asked sleepily. If he had come in here to snitch again, she swore to the gods—

“Are you gonna get rid of me?” He asked, his voice incredibly small and wobbly. “Y’know, because I made such a mess and ruined your dinner! An—and I’m always fighting with Sasuke, and I even broke the window that one time—”

Her heart dropping into her stomach, Kiya immediately stood up and wrapped the boy in a hug. “Don’t be silly, Naru-kun, you’re here to stay! We’re family now, and you mean so much to me. You and Sasuke both. I’d never ever, not in a million years, get rid of you.”

“R-really?!” Naruto sniffled, wet tears falling onto Kiya’s shoulder. “Well… good! I like it here. A lot. Even with stupid Sasuke.”

“Be nice.” Kiya chided gently, pulling away from him to poke his whiskered cheek. At least the boy looked slightly apologetic. “Feel better now?”

He nodded happily, a content smile on his face. “Mhm!”

“Good.” Kiya said, smiling warmly at him before a yawn escaped her. “…Well, goodnight then.” Kiya said after a second, crawling back under her covers. Naruto just stood there, poking his pointer fingers together shyly, not making a single move to leave. She knew what he wanted. Rolling her eyes playfully, she pushed back the covers for him to crawl under, too. “Come on, then.”

Giggling giddily, Naruto began to hop up into her bed when another figure appeared in her doorway. “What the hell are you doing, dobe?” Sasuke growled, not waiting for an invitation as he stormed into her bedroom. “You can’t just come into Kiya-nee’s room like that!”

“…Well you just did, too.” Naruto pointed out defensively.

Her chibi-sensor going off and alerting her to yet another incoming fight, Kiya pulled back the covers on the other side of the bed, patting the space in invitation.

“It’s alright. Come on then, Sas-kun, join the party.” Kiya said dryly, kissing her hopes of a peaceful slumber goodbye.

He looked indignant at first, almost as if he was going to deny her offer, but then Naruto made his way up onto her bed without a second thought. Almost as if he was compelled to by the power of their rivalry, Sasuke did the same on the opposite side of the bed.

Pressing a second bedtime kiss to their foreheads, Kiya tucked the boys on either side of her in tightly. “Goodnight, you two. Sleep tight.” She murmured, letting her eyelids flutter shut.

“Goodnight.” Both boys replied, Naruto already half-asleep while Sasuke remained wide awake.

“Oh! And if either of you wake me up again tonight, you’re sleeping outside.” Kiya added cheerfully, eyes open once more, all too aware of the horrified glances she was met with from either side of her. With that, she closed her eyes one final time and sent her past self a ‘thank you’ for having had the wonderful idea to buy a king-sized bed.

Oddly enough, Kiya had the most peaceful (unmedicated) sleep she’d had in a long time—perhaps it had something to do with the way the morning sunlight revealed that both boys had snuggled up to her sides in their sleep, their young faces innocent and adorable as they slept.

She relished in the peaceful silence for as long as she could.

These months really fly by, don’t they? Sometimes it can be hard to sit down and try to write one of these devlogs, but when I look back on it I actually accomplished more than I thought. We’re all prone to narrowing in on stuff rather than looking at the whole picture- that is, it’s easy to forget every step we had to take to get to where we are.

So today I’ve got more to share than just writing!

To start off, Valentine's Day was just a couple of weeks ago! I drew couples chibis of Niko & Ren and Hazel & Aster (from Asphodelium) to celebrate.

Maybe they’ll be stickers up in the store soon? Who knows~

Now onto writing! I ended up writing about 8k for Canvas Menagerie in February, with me taking a break from writing it the last week of February. That brings the current wordcount for Canvas Menagerie to 120,606 words! I’m estimating it to be around 150k when it’s fully finished.

I was also able to hammer out a scene by scene outline for the rest of the script. I had a vague idea of where I wanted to go with it and knew some scenes I wanted to hit, but nothing set (mostly) in stone until now. The last part of the game shows Niko & Ren’s growing relationship and wrapping up some of the loose ends from prior parts, namely about Ren’s relationship with his family.

Last but not least in February I started working towards getting the first 1/3rd of the game ready for playtesting. For the most part this means editing the script and putting it all in Ren’Py (a process that can take a day for just a scene or two), but it also means drawing additional outfits for the cast!

Almost all of the CGs are already done for the first section of the game (a lot of them are viewable in the demo), so a majority of the art left to do for it are these outfits for special occasions. For the outfits above, the cast is at a studio party.

Although this is the February update devlog, I’m writing it on March 1st, which means it’s Women’s History Month and the Women’s Day Sale has started on Steam! It’s a festival celebrating women developers and women-made games. Canvas Menagerie is a part of the event, so consider wishlisting it or playing the demo if you haven’t already ♥

Context: me n @bitter-like-coffee had the torturous idea that Trucy, as a "welcome back to Japanifornia, congrats on your legal revolution" present for Apollo, commissions a very large painting of an intentionally bad sketch Trucy did of the baby Apollo based on Athena's recollection of the Séance. Vera is like "are you sure?" and Trucy is like "hell yeah we are!" then drops a fat stack on it and puts it behind Apollo's desk and its so big and so ugly and Apollo threatens to quit and go back to Khura'in all the time (enough that Athena has a running tally of how many times a week he threatens to do this) but he secretly is deeply touched by this gesture. He does later go talk to Blackquill to get an embarrassing photo of Athena covered in Aura's expensive lipstick with a bad sword-cut hairstyle to use for her "congrats on graduating from junior partner" party in revenge. It's all about love bby

I think Trucy will be taller than Apollo when she grows up (lookit her daddy) so she 100% does the Klavier lean to irritate him and also I draw her with Shadi's skintone and nose because c'mon CAPCOM stop making characters this pale. Her daddy and granddaddy got melanin, just coz her mommy is white asf doesn't mean she is smh.

PART 2 :)

The room lights up and reveals the whole crew with party hats on and a few with party poppers. Luffy stretches and wraps his arms around Axl in a tight hug “Happy birthday man! I’ll let you have some of the meat Sanji made me!” He has a wide smile on his face as he lets go. Axl then feels a hand on his shoulder, Zoro. “Happy Birthday…” He quietly hands Axl a bottle of premium North blue sake and smiles a little. Sanji then bounds up from outside “I honestly hve the best gift of all, I prepared all your favourite foods for you my love! And if Luffy tries to eat it before you do…. he knows the consequences.” Luffy shudders. “Axl! My man! Happy birthday! I made you this little figurine of you. Hope you like it!” Usopp hands Axl a small figurine of the birthday boy doing a cool pose with a peace sign. “HAVE A SUUUUUUPPPPERRR BIRTHDAY AXL! I MADE YOU YOUR VERY OWN MINI SHIP, FULLY CUSTOMIZED FOR YOU! ENJOY!” Franky leads Axl outside for a bit to look down and see a beutifully intricate little ship. It was like the Sunny, but it had carvings of vines and flowers and it was made to fit two people. “The weather forcast says pleasent;y stormy. Watch out for messages in the sky!” Axl turns around to see Nami with her clima-tact and shooting up electricity to the sky. He looks up and see’s stormy clouds, but the lightning is spelling the words “HAPPY BIRTHDAY AXL <3” Before he can say anything, Axl is pulled back inside by Brook. “YOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO! Happy Biryhday Axl. i hope you can see as many panties as you need. I have composed a song for you called “The Great Adventures of a Great Warrior.” please enjoy.” Brook pulls out his guitar and starts playing an upbeat tune, it feels adventurous. Axl feels multiple hands on his back. A worrying amount. He turns around and sees Robin smiling at him kindly. “Happy Birthday Axl. I hope you enjoy it.” Robin hands him a book on how to identify different flowers. “AAAAXXXLLLLL WAAAHHHHHHHH” Chopper bounds up to him, crying, and hugs his legs. “IM SO SORRY I HAD TO IGNORE YOU TODAY WAHHHH BUT HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” Chopper hands him a small case filled with memorabilia and photos from all their journeys together. Axl looks around and sees his whole crew smiling and happy to celebrate his birthday with him. He feels like he could cry.“NOW! It’s time to blow out the candles for your cake before Luffy eats it all.”Axl looks to see a stunning, 3 tier cake covered in little fondant decorations and at the top was a chibi version of him sleeping.“I worked all night yesterday to make you the perfect cake” Sanji had his arms wrapped around Axl’s waist, smiling affectionately down at him. “Now lets light the candles!”The lights in the room had switched off and the only lights were the soft glow of the candles on the cake. As the crew sung happy birthday, (lead by Brook of course) Axl couldn’t help but feel so lucky that he had his crew. They were all so thoughtful and always there when he needed them. “Make a wish!” Axl closed his eyes to make a wish, then blew out the candles. Everyone cheered and the lights turned back on as everyone cheered and celebrated his birthday. What did he wish for? To always stay with his loving crew. ~The End~

When R2 was airing, there were some 4koma comics by As’Maria in Newtype, and, although I can’t remember if I ever was able to check every magazine from June 2008 (Rolo’s introduction, below) to December 2008 (the end of Chibi Geass N2, below), I’m going to assume that Rolo only appeared twice.

Aside from the flagged drinks at the Old World bar, there are a few significant additions:

Out of spite (or is it begrudging allowance?) — there happens to be a plain whiskey drink wrapped in edible paper bandages.

For when the original black and red flag was added, it was actually filled with whiskey, moulded to the anonymous benefactor's tastes.

And a certain mafioso hated it so much he had the bartender pour out an elegant wine cocktail in a wrapped glass modelled after the benefactor in a petty rage and so both parties came to spite-drank each other's glasses every other visit out of hatred.

It was at that point when one of the mystery benefactor's companions had accompanied them to the reopened Old World once and while there were no confirmed admissions, the bartender swore the red-haired companion favoured the drink shaped after his friend, at first ordering it out of amusement but later out of appreciation for the taste. (Not that they've visited this part of town that often, much to the bartender's chargin.)

Alas, the benefactor soon started coming alone after an unusually long hiatus.

The first time he did, he's taken aback by two changes.

First, the contents of red flag and bandaged drinks were swapped.

There was a comical moment of stunned silence, followed by a long blink at the whiskey set in front of him. A drink this benefactor hadn't touched since the absence of his friend.

He eventually downed the drink with a childish pout about how he's definitely not thanking that Chibi for messing things up. The gentle way he handled the glass betrayed his true thoughts before he's given yet another surprise —

There's a new food item he hadn't seen before:

An extra spicy curry dish called 'The Curry of Life'.

Marked by the popular label at the side, it's apparent to the beige-coated guest why this dish was well-received as he read through the 'all you can eat' terms and conditions during the weekdays and for kids. An cheap, affordable choice for anyone hoping to get their fill.

The benefactor dropped the menu with a loud groan, sliding a hand over his forehead. The conflicting emotions soon dissolved into wry laughter as he ordered a set for himself.

And as he expected, he still hated it.

Still just as tortured by the spices burning his mouth months ago as he is bad at tolerating the each bite of this one. And the benefactor would complain with an obnoxiously pitched whine to the bartender about how that rotten slug was adamant on making him suffer and he'll have to pay him back tenfold.

But the bartender would note, with a bit of smugness - how relaxed his customer looked, and they're certain there's the smallest of smiles grazing their benefactor's face.

It would be a regular favourite of this benefactor even as he brought over guests years later, eyes lighting up as he'll snicker at his workmates' expense, slowly adding them to the list of patrons the Old World bar caters to.

fav thing: I love his relationship w al and how deeply the two of them care for each other but also sometimes clash, but I also love how much 03 ed just sees things he wants to see and ignores what he doesn't or what makes life harder. in a lot of ways ways he's incredibly courageous and tenacious so his willingness to just ignore uncomfortable truths is really interesting; the way he insists the slicer brothers are people because otherwise it means al isn't and his brother is dead vs how he insists sloth Isn't Human because otherwise it means they fucked up real bad trying to transmute trisha

least favourite thing: fmab ed LOL. if I'm sticking to 03... hmm... idk. him telling Claus in the majhal episode she looks better in girlmode idk

favourite line: 'there's no such thing as a war that has nothing to do with us' is such a key moment showcasing his character growth and exemplifying how war, the philosophers stone, alchemy, prosperity are all largely the same thing

brotp: ed and al!!!! and to a lesser extent ed and winry altho I think then being estranged on friendly terms is such a big part of 03 brotp is a little awkward label

otp: not ride or die but I think Russell x ed is funny as hell especially alongside ed X fletcher

notp: incest and age gap stuff aside I don't like edwin at all lol

random headcanon: ditching school for alchemy study at like age 10 makes him really smart in some ways and shockingly ignorant in others (but this largely doesn't matter in our world anyway since it's all new to him regardless)

unpopular opinion: 03 ed >>> bh ed ig? edwin is boring? don't think I have 03 specific ones (ie controversial among 03 fans)

fav thing: I don't know where to start!! her compelling sympathetic but also complicated and ambiguous relationship to who she is and being human, the way she gets fleshed out and humanised but not in a tidy redemption arc, the way she's striving for something she arguably already has if she just stopped buying into the lie of her own inhumanity

least fav thing: I wish we got more of her but also part of why she's soo good is that the narrative cuts off at exactly the right moment so. idk. more of her alternate self in COS maybe lol. (the cheap answer here is just 'mangahood lust' lmao)

fav line: I don't remember the exact line but when ed is like 'why would you want to be something as boring as human?' and she says 'why does your brother want his brother back? it's the same'

brotp: HER AND GLUTTONY!!! I love how even as aimplistic a character gluttony is they still make him shine w his genuine grief for her.

otp: scarlust!! tbh I think part of the appeal of their relationship is they don't know what they are or what they represent to each other or where to pick up and they don't have enough time anyway, so I hesitate to brand it an otp as such, but I also don't think it's anywhere near as juicy if there's zero romantic tension

notp: nothing really, I mean anything outside scarlust and maybe lust/sloth just seems like a crackship lol

random headcanon: she may not always show it but she deeply values her odd friendship w gluttony enough simply because he's the only person to show her our e, unconditional friendship since she became a homunculus (not really a headcanon lol more an interpretation of the text I feel but anyway)

unpopular opinion: I dunno lol I think even mangahood fans agree 03 lust is superior

fav thing: I love how if you just rely on lazy tropes its tempting to write off scar as scary religious fundamentalist only killing alchemists bc alchemy is a sin even tho he's a hypocrite, and then it's like, wait he's fighting back against a genocidal military dictatorship. you can mourn that he's had to go this far and question if his methods work, but he's definitely an anti hero in 03. and also we as an audience are allowed the room to think scar is actually right where ed is wrong or naive!!

least fav thing: again basically same as lust. I guess I wish we had a few more scar and lust interactions but even then it's the same thing of like, their relationship is so compelling bc there's so little time and so many pieces to pick up

favourite line: when he tells lust he wants to help the elrics because he regrets never telling his brother he loved him 🥺🥺

brotp: him and alphonse!!! it's so cute and wonderful to see this outwardly gruff and tormented but deeply bave man made an outcast by the state bonding with this sweet gentle metal boy

otp: scarlust for reasons as above

notp: nothing in particular but I truly cannot imagine anything that's not scarlust

The two pull away and laugh together as Benjamin exclaims, “Stop that! That’s rude!!”

The third picture is done in a full-color cartoony style showing Mark drunk and grinning beside a wine bottle and a few glasses, one such glass in one hand as the other waves to Benjamin as the actor exclaims, “MoRnINg! My butleriplier! How’s going!”

Benjamin is sweating with concern as he asks, “Master?! Are you OK?! The party’s over. Why are you still here? It’s 1am sir. You should be sleeping”

Mark is still grinning and now pointing one finger proudly up in the air while saying, “Listen buddy. You know what. I just drank a whole bottle. All by mYSelF. I did great!”

Benjamin looks determined as he grabs the actor from behind to drag away, replying, “Sir let me take you to the bedroom. You’re gonna be fine”

Benjamin then looks alarmed as Mark leans forward with one arm to the face, a speech balloon full of scribbles and a note indicating that the actor burped nearby.

Mark, still leaning forward, holds up an index finger and proclaims, “I didn’t throw up. I’m cool. A plus”

Benjamin, still sweating, grins comfortingly and rubs the actor’s head while saying, “Yeah I’m so proud of you. I’m gonna give you a star”

Mark replies, “I don’t need that. I’m already one of them”

The fourth and final image is a comic continuing from the last one as Benjamin tucks Mark into bed. The butler grins and asks, “Feel better? Don’t drink too much next time.”

Mark, eyebrows furrowed and eyes closed, answers, “Yaeh.”

Benjamin removes his hand from Mark’s head and says, “Really? Wow”

Mark glares upward and responds, “Of course I’m OK! I’m the great Markiplier. Who do you think I am?”

Benjamin leans forward with a grin and holds up one finger as he asks, “OK now. How many fingers here?”

Mark looks ahead for a beat panel before leaning forward and grabbing Benjamin’s outstretched hand. There is a speech balloon consisting only of ellipses before the next panel has the actor, eyes narrowed, answer, “…… Three.”

We went to a farmer's market today. For better or worse, I already splashed out on a very small Kwiktrip run. I didn't buy any soap, pretzels, or cheese curds. I don't know if this is a year-round thing, but hey, summer is just starting. I'll have plenty of time to hoard locally made soaps.

We got back, did some housework (it's a relief and nice not to have to do chores by myself). I ended up only having to mop the hall. My sister swept it, but I'm going to buy some microfiber towels and use those to dry mop the house instead. She had asked me to tape down the co-ax cable. She wanted dibs on the adjoined room next to hers, where the live port is, so now she officially has the better deal, which I guess is fair since she absolutely earned it, but I'm still the older sibling. Anyway, so I taped it down most of the way for now. I'm waiting to see if she has a shelf or something to put over or around or whatever, or what I should do with the remaining length of cable.

I wanted to work on Catbus today, but I don't have enough of this color of bead and there's always a bit of a concern over batch color consistency when having to order beads over a period of time that is anything longer than "all at once". It feels like it's just always going to be difficult to estimate the amount of beads I should buy, even if I can get a rough idea, which I absolutely can do because I'm not freehanding at least this project, I am working from a gridded pattern.

Then there's the issue what I purchased the Catbus colors that I did, solely at a guess that they would be good. Then life kinda happened and focusing on materials for Catbus was a very low concern.

Ugh, sorry. Forgive the rambling. I am so. Exhausted. I would like to cancel my subscription to Tired Daily.

Anyway, I ended up working on Eeyore.

The other project that I'm hung up on, in case you hadn't noticed, was the dumpster fire. I know I'm a little late to the party with that, but I wasn't into beading in 2020 or 2021. The other problem, besides not knowing how many to get, is not knowing if I can afford to buy 150 grams of one color all at once. With a lot of the beads I've been purchasing, that's about fifty bucks. I'm lucky if I can order fourty bucks of beads at once. So why not just get enough to hobble along until the next time I can place an order?

I gotta wrap it up here and go get some sleep. Tomorrow, I'll finish this front leg, and I kinda wanna start the second tummy piece. Soon here, I might have to purchase some polyfill.

I'd love to find a dusty rose color for this little chibi-ish elephant. I should also work up these patterns for these less cartoony, more realistic elephants that I have.

I think I'm also going to adapt Nelco Neco's shrinky carousel. I don't know about you, but what I want to do with it is, ideally, make two columns of horses that go up and down on their poles.
