IFYS MOMENT WAS SO FUCKING COOOOLLLL and seeing everyone else latch onto it like "can i do an ify/does an ify moment happen" WAS SO (chef's kiss)
AND SEEING HIM talk about WHY he decided that would happen in the AP is so . AUUGHGHGHGHGH I LOVE THIS SEASON ALREADY . only 2 eps in and i think its already shaping up to be one of if not THE best seasons
no you are absolutely right i seriously adore this season it is truly phenomenal.
ify talking about the fact that wendell needs vic to talk to him and look out for him because he lacks so much confidence is also so important when you think about the fact that he's a youngest brother, especially the youngest brother of guys who are doing pretty risky stuff if they are doing bmx type stuff.
it's also like... the fact that they took on the la familia status is also so important to me cuz that's what it's about! they are a family, they look out for each other, and when wendell didn't have that he has to rely on vic to tell him what to do.
i just really really love this show and the realy fantastic choices the cast has been making and ify's just. truly blew me away i love it

The premier of Never Stop Blowing Up was everything I wanted it to be and more.
Jacob just fits perfectly into this group, and I'm soo happy we have him in the dome.
If that was episode one and we have gone chaotic already. . How crazy does this Jumanji style Action movie get?
3 exploded dice rolls already. . 2 from Jacob, 1 from Izzy.
I would do anything for Wendell and Liv.. the fact that those kids might be in the most trouble half the time due to the action stars that they are in.
All of them have my heart and honestly can't wait to see what will happen.
The art team popped off with the storyboard style fighting. The posters for the action stars / characters chefs kiss.
This is going to be fun. Ally going from the newbie of the table to now one of the experts is such a great development for them.

So, Jumanji by way of Last Action Hero. Ok, Never Stop Blowing Up. I'm in for the ride. They managed to put together a great table for this one. I'm delighted they got Rekha back in the Dome. It's exciting to see Alex Song-Xia again. Izzy is always a treat. I'll never say no to more Jacob Wysocki. And of course Ally and Ify are always strong performers. We're in for a good season.
What a crazy start! I'm so glad I watched Last Action Hero a few weeks ago in prep because those vibes are very apparent (in addition to Jumanji 2 of course, but I'd already seen that).
A quick rundown of everything going on:
Ally Beardsley as Russell Feeld as Jennifer Drips
INSANE swings from Ally right out the gate. I love that Izzy was both in character thirsting over Russell and out of character being like, "Pull it back." Also, I think they're the only one playing a girl movie character so that's interesting. This season is gonna be such a trip pronoun-wise. Wonder what direction Ally wants to go with that.
Ify Nwadiwe
as Wendell Morris as Vic Ethanol
I was STUNNED to hear Wendell's voice come out of Ify's body. I didn't know he had an Urkel-esque bone in his jacked as hell self. And I assumed that once the PCs turned to their MCs (movie characters) they'd use their MC voice but nope. It seems like he's still doing the Wendell voice which is wild. I love a sweet nerd so Wendell is one of my early faves for sure. Very much the vibes on the main character from Jumanji 2 turning into the Rock. Also, Vic Ethanol is my fave expy name.
Isabella Roland
as Paula Donvalson as Jack Manhattan
Izzy had, by far, my favorite movie bit with her and Brennan walking into that chicken bit which was golden. Sometimes a bit drags on too long but they drove that to the exact funniest point and then left it there. Chef's kiss, no notes. Very much looking forward to seeing this very tightly wound mom in this unhinged setting.
Rekha Shankar
as Usha Rao as G13
Something I really respect is building a character who is specifically bad at the main thing they have to do and a woman who barely has grasped the concept of phones having to be the hacker is so funny. Rekha, you've done it again. I didn't notice until it was pointed out on Twitter but one of the fave movies listed on her card is literally the first movie ever made (The Horse in Motion). And her immediate 1 when trying to do hacker stuff is a portent of more hilarity to come I'm sure. Love to have her back in the dome.
Alex Song-Xia
as Liv Skyler as Kingskin
Also, love to have Alex back in the dome! I loved them in Mentopolis and they picked such a fun dichotomy of characters to inhabit in a teen girl who's giving me Vanessa from In the Heights with a little compulsive shoplifting plus truly just Kingpin from Marvel. I found her really endearing and she was also one of my faves.
Jacob Wysocki
as Andy 'Dang' Litefoot as Greg Stocks
I'm not as familiar with Jacob as I think some others are but he matched the table's energy right away. I would think the aliens thing was a weird swing except that there's someone in one of my games who has a very similar deal (their PC not the actual person lol) so it's kind of like yeah, that's a normal thing for a PC to believe. Maybe it's because I just binged all of The Bear but he kind of reminds me of a more assertive Fak. And it's a very funny contrast to a suave James Bond-type (also, Stocks/Bond. Ha).
So it looks like we have Fast and Furious, Die Hard, and James Bond. Kingskin is Kingpin from Spiderman and maybe just repping mobster flicks in general. G13 also seems to be a generic hacker. And Jennifer Drips is a generic femme fatale.
I think it's interesting that everyone seems to be a protagonist except for Kingskin who is an obvious baddie (unless he comes from a Breaking Bad type world where it's bad guys all the way down and no real heroes).
Also, I'm curious about how they'll cross over with each other. In Last Action Hero, it was kind of implied that many action movie scenarios take place in a shared universe (which is why you had Arnold in the same police station as a talking cartoon cat and other archetypes waiting to get paired up with their wacky mismatched sidekicks). Could be something like that, but we'll see.
Anyway, yeah! I wasn't sure how this season was gonna look but I'm VERY down for it now that it's started. Oh! And the animatics???? Amazing! D20 just keeps outdoing itself!

F/ovember Promo☆
▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞
You're sitting somewhere scrolling through Tumblr, not expecting anything interesting to happen, when a strange figure appears next to you out nowhere. You jolt in surprise and turn to the figure, who wears a black and white stripped suit and...is that mold or moss on his face? You hope it's the latter.
"What do we got here? Kay let's see-" He checks his notes. "You're one of Amber’s friends, right? Or mutuals or whatever-the-fuck it's called? Doesn't matter, they told me to give you this." He pulls out...a live rat from his pocket? "Here, hold that." He then hands you the rat and you immediately set it down, watching him dig through his jacket pocket before he pulls out a piece of paper and hands it to you. You unfold it and read what's on the page.
Welcome to F/ovember! For the entire month of November, Amber’s f/os will take over their blog and answer questions regarding them and their relationships! You can ask about their relationships with each other too (not just with Amber) or how they interact with each other! A few of Amber’s partners are going to mainly participate in F/ovember, but you can still ask their other partners questions too!
The f/os who will mainly be (but not limited to) participating in F/ovember are:
Klaus Hendrix
Rosaline Beam
Damien Sanguine
Leo Finnegan
River Montoya
Beetlejuice
The Devil
King Dice
Chef Saltbaker
Monty
Stanley Pines
Dr. Wendell Tully
Baxter
Sir Pentious
Lucifer
Adam
Prince Average
Rouxls Kaard
Mettaton
Jevil
You turn to look back at the strange man but notice he's completely gone, as if he wasn't here, with the only hints of his presence being the note he left you, and the rat he told you to hold which is currently skittering around on the ground.

Hello, friends!
I haven’t made a proper post of my own in some time, mainly just reposting. The toxicity of the ship war (and honestly, just the fandom in general) is not conducive to good mental health, and with there being no hint of any news I just found it draining. The thing is, we are all here because we love these books, and for many of us books in general. So before I get back to posting my own elriel related content, I wanted to share with you some books I’ve absolutely adored this year. Please feel free to reblog this and add your own!
Empire of the Damned by Jay Kristoff 🩸
This is the second book in the Empire of the Vampire series (first book of the same name) and it is a strong contender for my book of the year. Not for the faint of heart, this series is bloody, brutal and emotionally devastating - but my GOD what a world, what characters. They are flawed and full bodied, the world is desolate and grim, with such little hope but it is a corker!
All This Twisted Glory by Tahereh Mafi 💔
Okay so this is the 3rd book in the This Woven Kingdom series. The first book in this series I felt very luke warm about, but I liked it enough to continue. The second book in this series is when I began to get really excited, I started to fall in love. The third book? Get out of here, I’m obsessed. If you like stories that include Jinn, inspired by Persian mythology and absolutely jam packed with all the yearning, pining and painful brooding you could possibly ever imagine - this is the book for you. Small caveat, that not an awful lot happens in this book to move the story forward, but the MMC is so down bad that I loved it regardless.
A Fragile Enchantment by Alison Saft 🪡
This one really took my by surprise. This is set in a regency era setting with a sprinkling of magic (and I do mean a light dusting) with a Lady Whistledown style sub plot that really did have me guessing. Our main character, Niamh, has the magical ability to imbue clothing with feeling - and has been hired by the Royal Family to make clothes for the Princes upcoming nuptials. Except there’s a chemistry to Niamh and the broody, irritable Prince Kit that is undeniable. Couple that with a growing unrest of the Macklish that threatens the Royal Fam, it all leads to a very delicious story. I didn’t expect to love this but it truly worked it’s way in to my heart.
Emily Wildes Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett 🧚
This is the second book in the Emily Wilde series but as with the first book I absolutely adored this. It is whimsical, mildly cosy. Emily goes through one of the best character arcs I’ve ever read, and Wendell may be the best blonde haired fictional man to ever exist. If you love proper Faerie stories, you will love this.
Sword Catcher by Cassandra Clare ⚔️
This was an absolutely impeccable start to what I think is going to be an epic fantasy series. Forbidden romance, political intrigue, an interesting magic system and world to boot. I cannot wait for the next book!
The Crimson Moth (aka Heartless Hunter) by Kristen Ciccarelli 🦋
I absolutely devoured this. Witch and witch hunter. Courting for the sake of trying to discover the others secrets, angst, brooding, betrayal. I’m loathe to say anymore lest I give away more than I should. But this is for sure one of my favourite books of the year. I read it so fast, I think about this daily. Please please please, give it a go - you won’t regret it!
The Road of Bones/Kingdom of Claw by Demi Winters 🪓
The Road of Bones was a 5⭐️ read I absolutely loved it, but it’s sequel KoC has made its way into the 6⭐️ category for me. Viking inspired fantasy, with impeccable world building, the romance in this is also chefs bloody kiss. I can’t recommend it enough. Silla isn’t a typical girl boss (I love a girl boss don’t get me wrong) and she got me through the missing Elain Archeron hours.
The Aurelian Cycle (Fireborne, Flamefall & Furysong) by Rosaria Munda 🐉
I loved this so much because it started from a different place than most fantasy stories. In this, we start 10 years post Revolution of a regime that was ruled by the Dragon Lords, who over taxed the poor and meted out brutal punishments to people who’s only crime was being poor and hungry. Our main characters met in an orphanage in the wake of the revolution, but they could not have come from more different backgrounds- and yet they love each other anyway. The political intrigue and emotional complexities of this story was superb. 10/10
The Ember Quarter (An ember in the ashes, a torch against the night, a reaper at the gates and a sky beyond the storm) By Sabaa Tahir 💀
I’m so incredibly late to the party but I’m glad I arrived nonetheless. What an epic tale, what a fantasy story. You truly set off at a running pace with this one - it feels like there’s very little stopping time. Every word and page of this story is used to its full effect. I’m in awe of this authors story telling prowess. It broke my heart, but by god how I loved it.

Wendell and Wild: 10/10 production
Confrontation and validation of a Black girl's PTSD after losing her loving parents (in a (frankly horrific scenario)?
An older, similarly experienced Black elder offering her help and support despite her clear fears of attachment?
Acknowledging the school to prison pipeline and how many kids (esp of color) are funneled into it just bc they needed help and didn't get it?
A canonically, often acknowledged and instrumental to the plot trans Latino character, whose mother loves and defends him dearly? Who stays Kat's friend despite her defenses?
A "mean girl" who's never truly malicious, and helps confront her parents who are promoting and profiting from that school to prison pipeline?
AND it looks visually good?!?
Chef's kiss, truly.

☕ - spill the tea bestie
Send ☕ for my muse to rant about something in character
"Do you know what I absolutely abhor?" he asks, his cup of tea held in front of him, completely forgotten at the present moment. "Trains. Name a more terrible form of transportation than by rail. It's truly horrendous." Wendell takes one quick sip of tea and then places the cup down onto its saucer before he truly gets into it. "For one, there's the timetable. Why must all of the trains I'm meant to depart on leave so damn early? I would like, for once, for a train to leave at a reasonable time, say 1300. So I don't have to get up early to pack and then be rushed by my colleagues to the damn train station to then have to carry all of my luggage amongst the throngs of people, some of which are truly rude, to the furthest away platform because, for whatever reason, my platform can never be the closest. Of course not. And we're not even on the train yet." He huffs, leaning back in his chair until it's perched precariously on one leg. "I have half a mind to get so deliriously drunk before any rail travel as to not have to experience every jostle and chug and vibration. Perhaps it's the mechanics of it I dislike the most. If we were on a train right now, my tea would be jostling around in its cup and I'd more than likely spill it in my lap at least once. The tea on trains is never any good, anyway. Nor is the food, which makes a lot of sense since a train probably has a terrible kitchen with terrible chefs creating terribly bland train meals." He can't stop himself from rolling his eyes. "I suppose I could go on ad nauseam, but needless to say I'd rather walk."

Excuse me while I go watch City: Primeval for the it's-Justified-time.
I love nearly everything about it:
"Tick tock goes the clock...there's no such thing as on time. You're either early or your late. And where you're going we're going to be early." I love that when we meet teenage Willa, and Raylan's getting her ice cream, it's hard to tell from the relationship dynamic whether he's off or on the clock— whether she's a marshall's daughter or his bounty—only to learn that he's hauling her off to a remedial behavior camp and that the answer is yes to both. 😅 Anyone else get a flashback vibe to Dewey Crowe?
White collar criminal..."what do you think he did to get in the book? Capitalism." The truth.
Doesn't hold back from pointing out the corruption in institutional law enforcement. Gives new meaning to "throw the book at 'em."
Court room: Raylan: "Pretty much" / Defendant: " ******* I wanted Chick-fil-A"
We love Wendell Robinson, "sometimes I guess it takes an angry white guy to catch an angry white guy."
"Even though my premium is up to date, I can't make a claim because what now? Because the police did it?" #white collar crime.
"there are things that I want to do with that book that have nothing to do with what's legal and everything, e-ver-y-thing to do with what's just. Can you understand?" That's funny, you have no idea.
Carolyn, my queen, you exude all the badass chemistry I could ever imagine. You had me at "The marshall isn't the one on trial / give me a minute and he will be." And then:
"Sir, please... don't move, don't say shit."
"Better now that my ****-heel partner is gone..."
(Sees purse, finds a bra) you can't be serious, is she here? Ma'am? This is not Tasha's size...I'm going to come over here and burn your closet. What I wouldn't pay to make you a memory."
"Raylan: How was it for you? / Carolyn: About what I expected."
"Raylan: I'm getting an x-ray with my dinner. / Carolyn: Maybe that's what you prefer...all by yourself power. In my life everyone has their foot on my neck to get what they want. **** them. **** them to be so small they abuse their power."
"I'm leaving. Lea-ving" / "In the eternal words of Ra: **** 'em"
"Carolyn: I got something you want / Raylan: That's fair to say"
About Detroit: "I haven't been here a week and the s*** I've seen gives me pause."
Marcus Sweety sass gives me life!
Sandy's Thai roommate needs her own Justified mini show. I'm convinced that Hina a crime lord's daughter or a marshall in the making. She made Albanian mobsters and their tooth extractors look like boy scouts and the only unbelievable premise of this sequel is that if Sandy wanted out of her toxic relationship with the Oklahoma madman, all she needed to do was stick Clement in a room with Hina. Fast forward to episode 8, conflict resolved.
Clement has some really chaotic Boyd Crowder vibes, second only to Boyd himself, and I can picture some of the lines that he has in this series as things that were on the cutting room floor from Justified. "Hun, do you what cut this is? (The Southern comfort steak). Ding ding ding, ready for double jeopardy. Now I ordered the steak black and blue. Do you know what black and blue means? (Rare) Oh no, ma'am. It does not mean rare, it means god**** bloody red. So here's what I want you to do, I want you to take this and throw it in the trash. Then I want you to get your chef have another steak, smack that over the fire, sing two verses of "Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground," flip that sucker, sing the third verse, yank it off, plate it ... And if I don't hear it moo in pain then we're just going to start this all over again." I half expected him to start singing you'll never leave Harlan alive. #I'm a vegetarian, but if I wasn't before I would be now.
Willa's best line and her whole raison d'etre is giving Raylan a second chance at walking away and setting up her dad for love and a semi-normal life: "he's pretty nice for a white guy." From her first giggle at cat videos that led to contempt, she's pretty much his matchmaker and he's just handcuffed in the trunk for the ride along. "I'm not about to take care of you when you're old."
"What is a Garlick?!" The smatterings of comedic timing slaps.
"Raylan: I ain't gonna sleep at night this SOB wins. / Raymond: Look at you, still giving a ****...[Freddy Keck] I shot him. / He drew on you. / I don't know. / You don't know? / I think it was a church key./ He had a bottle opener. / I clean my fingers [with it] and I slept just like a baby." Ray and Raylan, while painfully on the nose as a metaphor, is stone cold accurate. What a screaming angriest-man-I-know look in the mirror — full circle from my Justified s1e1, complete with pissed off ex-wife the likes of which Winona would drink to. #"Mary Alice only speaks to me on pain of death."
Downsides:
The only thing missing from this series is Marshal Gutterson and Rachel Brooks, and Loretta McCready. Non-spoiler-spoilers ahead for those who haven't finished City Primeval: I'll let you speculate as to who's not missing...
The ending that leaves you wanting more! Willa: "I'd like too see where you're from." Take my money and give me a sequel to the sequel. Lord knows by that cliffhanger you're thinking about it.
