Charlie Moore was pulled over for "evasion," although he had never interacted with said cop before. When pulled over he asked what crime he committed & why he had been pulled over. The police did not respond.

The police called back up and Mr.Moore requested the the police call their supervisor for their unprofessional behavior. In response, they broke his driver side window.

Fearing for his life, Mr.Moore sped away, wanting to protect his 12 year old son in the backseat. He called their supervisors himself, told them the situation, and asked them to deescalate the situation. He told them he was terrified.

The police began pursing his vehicle and performed a PIT maneuver. Although police claim PIT maneuvers are safe, people who are on the receiving end of such maneuvers usually are sent to the hospital on stretchers.

A PIT maneuver is when a cop car hits another vehicle on the back corner, which sends it to the side, usually off the road. Although the intention of this is to get a vehicle away from traffic, it often causes severe injury and is not recommended.

Mr.Moore and his son were sent flying off the side of the road. His 12 year old son died.

Mr.Moore was charged with homicide for the death of his son.
