The Chess/Paris Proposal of Cherik.
Erik holds out his fists in each of which he has a chess piece hidden and asks Charles to choose. Charles chooses his left hand and he opens it to reveal a white piece. Now I am just saying.. the other hand totally had a ring like legit RING and Erik thought that Charles would read his mind and chose that and Charles did but he wanted to fuck with Erik so chose the other hand lmao 😂

365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
April 15th - The Angel
Warren Kenneth Worthington III was the son of wealthy New York socialites.  Born with the X-Gene, Warren began manifesting his Mutant abilities in early adolescence.  He found that a pair of feathered wings had begun to grow from his shoulders.  Soon these wings became large enough that it enabled him flight.  In time it became evident that his entire physiology was quite different from a typical human, thus enabling this winged flight.  Said differences including a highly durable yet extremely light skeletal structure, greatly enhanced musculature, augmented vision and sense of direction, and enhanced dexterity that allowed him to perform dazzling ariel maneuvers.
Warren kept his Mutation a secret from his family and peers, using a painful harness and binder to cover up the wings under his clothes.  Despite all this he loved to fly and craved adventure.  He designed himself a costume and ventured out into the night as ‘The Avenging Angel,’ fighting crime and protecting the innocent.  It was not long before Warren’s exploits caught the attention of the Mutant telepath, Charles Xavier.  Xavier recruited Warren to be a student at his school for gifted youngster and serve on his team of Mutant superheroes, The X-Men.  Warren eagerly accepted.
As The Angel, Warren would go on to have countless adventures, both as a member of The X-Men and on his own.  Following graduation from Xavier’s academy, The Angel branched away from The X-Men and relocated to Los Angeles where he helped to form the new superhero team called The Champions.  With the deaths of his parents, Warren inherited the family fortune which he used to finance the team.  Unfortunately, poor business decisions and some costly lawsuits ultimately forced the team to disband.  The Angel returned to serving alongside the X-Men and also joined an iteration of The Defenders.
Later, Warren teamed up with the other founding members of the X-Men in the formation of X-Factor.  This was a team that sought out and aided Mutants under the pretense of hunting down those perceived as potential menaces to society. The public assumed they were humans hunting mutants, when in fact they were locating and training young Mutants in the use of their powers at the X-Factor Complex.
The Angel was severely injured by the Marauders during the Mutant Massacre event.  His wounds proved so dire that both his wings needed to be amputated; he survived the ordeal but lost his ability to fly.  This terrible trauma caused Warren to fall into a deep depression, a despair so severe that he attempted to take his own life.  Although his suicide appeared successful, Warren was secretly rescued at the last moment by the Mutant villain, Apocalypse.  Apocalypse utilized his advanced technology to transform Angel into his horseman, Death.  The villain altered Warren’s physiology, changing his skin blue and causing him to grow powerful, metallic wings made up of feather-like steal daggers.  Warren acted as Apocalypse’s agent until his former colleagues among X-Factor were able to get through to him and hep him remember his former self.
Now going by the name of Archangel, Warren returned to serving The X-Men, using the enhanced powers Apocalypse’s had bestowed him to become a much more formidable force.  He continued to struggle with the bloodlust that the transformation had instilled in him and it often required all of his willpower to resist descending into a murderous, berserker rage.  Warren’s telepathic teammate, Psylocke, helped him in learning greater control and, during this time, the two became romantically involved.  Not long thereafter, Archangel was recruited by Wolverine to serve as a member of ThevUncanny X-Force squad.
Warren’s steal wings eventually molted, replaced by their original feathers.  His skin additionally changed back to its original complexion.  Yet Warren discovered that in times of great duress he could transform back into his blue-skinned, steel-winged self, complete with unchecked rage and savagery in battle.  It was ultimately discovered that Warren’s ability to transform in this fashion was a result of his being implanted with a ‘death seed’ by Apocalypse.  This was essentially a contingency measure whereby Warren would become the new Apocalypse in the case of the original’s death.  In that Apocalypse had indeed been killed, it now appeared as though Warren was going through the process of becoming the the villain’s intended replacement.
Warren and X-Force embarked on an adventure to save his life and prevent him from becoming the new Apocalypse.  This ultimately resulted in Psylocke being forced to stab Warren with a Celestial Life Seed, killing both Archangel and Warren, and re-manifesting him into a younger, unadulterated version of himself.  This new Warren, devoid of any memories of his past, was sent to the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning in the hope that he could be helped to regain his memory.    Following an encounter with his time-displaced young self, Warren’s old memories eventually returned.  He has since relocated to the Mutant nation of Krakoa where he currently acts as the chief financial officer of The X-Corporation
Versions of The Angel have appeared in a pair of the Fox Films X-Men movies, portrayed by actors Ben Foster and Ben Hardy.   The winged hero first appeared in the pages of X-Men Vol. 1 #1 (1963).

X-Men Abridged: 1964
The X-Men, those wacky mutants that have sworn to protect a world that hates and fears them, are a cultural juggernaut with a long, tangled history. Want to unravel the tapestry? Then read the Abridged X-Men!
(X-Men 3 - 8) - by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby
Tumblr media
Fantastic Four 28
The X-Men’s sophomore year basically serves as a recruitment drive for  Professor Xavier and Magneto: both our heroes and those nefarious villains try to recruit various mutants (The Blob, Namor, Unus the Untouchable), all with absolutely no success.
Tumblr media
We also meet Magneto’s home team, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. (Later on, they would drop the ‘evil’, because why would Magneto call himself evil? He believes he’s doing the right thing.) The Brotherhood consists of:
An acrobatic toady;
A white-haired speedster whose entire personality is that he loves his sister;
A fashion victim with nebulously defined disaster powers;
A creepy, sexist illusionist, who is by far the most useful on this squad. He is literally the only reason Magneto briefly conquers a country.
Tumblr media
i, too, enjoy towers of mashed potatoes (X-Men 4)
Magneto is fleshed out more: he still remains fabulously extra, but he develops an obsession with owning strongholds and/or land. In this year alone, he owns one island (1), one manor (1) and one asteroid (1). He also briefly takes over the nation of Santo Marco. Magneto also does some astral projection, because magnets can... do... that? (Just go with it.)
Tumblr media
he is just so ridiculous <3 (X-Men 7)
Tumblr media
magnetic intensity indeed. like toad and rogue, I would fall in love with magneto in a heartbeat (X-Men 5)
While the Toad’s and Mastermind’s loyalty to Magneto is never questioned, Pietro and Wanda, meanwhile, show plenty of reluctance in following the mutant despot. They even help the X-Men once or twice, but ultimately remain loyal to Magneto because he saved Wanda from an angry mob. (The mob is traditionalist rather than racist: They want to burn her because she is a witch, not because she’s a mutant. So it’s fine.)
However, this year does mark the first appearance of anti-mutants sentiments: a crowd attacks Hank after he saves some kid from a water tower, simply because they suspect he’s a mutant. I always thought it was Claremont who introduced this theme, but apparently, he merely expanded on something Lee started. It also introduces the conflict between Xavier’s views and Magneto’s: the hippie professor believes in peaceful coexistence, the flamboyant villain in the dominance of homo superior.
Tumblr media
they were so mean, Warren, they even took my glasses! (X-Men 8)
It’s also the first example of Professor X opening up his home to a villain in an attempt to reform them. The Blob, petty and churlish, refuses, but I have to admit I would read the fuck out of a What If? where the Blob accepts Charles’ offer.
This year also lays a lot ground for the X-Men themselves, fleshing them out. Hank becomes loquacious and smart, Warren reaches peak himbo and Bobby establishes himself as the jokester. Scott, meanwhile, becomes a lot more emo, tormented by his uncontrollable powers and his love for Jean. She also loves him, but neither of them actually does anything about it. In other character development, Jean straightens her hair.
Tumblr media
in 2021, I aspire to have the same confidence as Warren goddamn Worthington entering a fucking room (X-Men 4)
Meanwhile, Charles is apparently also crushing hard on Miss Grey. (Which is fortunately dropped and mostly forgotten about, because ick.) That, combined with the fact that almost every male character notes how sexy either Jean or Wanda is, really does show how badly all of this aged. I haven’t really read old Fantastic Four or the Avengers, but I do hope Sue and the Wasp have a trifle more personality than this.
Tumblr media
don’t fret, Jean, the only competition you have to worry about is Magneto (X-Men 6)
But! Charles does other weird stuff too! In a shocking display of extreme teaching methods, Professor X pretends to have lost his powers so the X-Men can prove themselves against the Brotherhood in space. Cyclops nearly dies, but despite that, Professor X graduates his X-Men! He then leaves and puts Cyclops in charge. Solid leadership skills all around.
Tumblr media
this is just adorable (X-Men 7)
Oh yeah, the X-Men also fight Namor and the Fantastic Four, and Iceman starts his bromance with the Human Torch. For those keeping track in the future: this is the point where the young X-Men are time-abducted for their All-New X-Men capers. (X-Men #8, to be exact.) Bobby also has an unhealthy obsession with eating icecream.
Tumblr media
it’s 1964, do you know where your teen-age mutant hoodlums are? (X-Men 4)
Must reads: X-Men #3, the introduction of the Blob, and X-Men #4, the introduction of the Brotherhood. The rest are all variations on the same themes and... not that great.
Didn’t you take Art History? This era is characterized by cheesy, cheesy writing and the kind of art that seems better suited to a Disney comic than a superhero epic. Stan Lee tends to overexplain everything we see in the art. Despite Kirby’s style not really being my cup of tea, he does effective work and some of his spreads are actually gorgeous. Check this out.
Tumblr media
so… daddy longlegs is not a mutant? (X-Men 3)
Best new character: The Blob. Hear me out.  He is a different kind of villain than most of the villains introduced in this era: he is petty and small-minded, rather than megalomaniacal and dramatic, which makes for a nice change of pace. Then there’s the fact that he looks grotesque and that even the X-Men, who should know better, mock him and body-shame him. (Nice going, calling him ‘fatso’ while he probably even couldn’t lose weight if he tried, because, you know, it’s his mutant power). He is like a foil to the Thing: mean and selfish where the Thing tries to be heroic and rise above his circumstances. The Blob is an unhappy man who does unhappy things; some authors have realized that he’s more than just a fat joke: there’s something inherently cruel about his mutant power.
Tumblr media
then again, Fred does call Jean a cute tomato, so maybe he deserves everything the X-Men throw at him (X-Men 3)
Most audacious retcon: Nobody seems to have a grasp on how strong Professor X and Marvel Girl are. One issue, Jean can toss around a crowd of women, the next, she can’t pick up Hank.  Charles seems to be just as strong as the plot demands.
Ugliest Costume: The Scarlet Witch. Pink and red? O honey, no.
Tumblr media
wanda, what is that headpiece (X-Men 4)

Some more thoughts on X-Men Dark Pheonix:
Except for the Charles hating and blaming (which was 60% of the goddamn movie) it was good.
1. I loved how they portrayed Jean and her pain and the effects on her face were just downright brilliant! Both the actresses did an amazing job and I really can't stress thay enough.
2. The fight scenes were great (Magneto was hot when bending all that metal.. ahem.. damn I am turning into Charles) and Storm my Goddess was just amazing! Did you see her flying and storming (gettit 😂) and being utterly beautiful in her fury?!
3. Also, THAT KURT WAGNER FIGHT SCENE GAVE ME CHILLS! Like a soft little bunny turned into the freaking DEVIL and I am so pleased and proud! You go my boi! APPRECIATE THAY KURT WAGNER SCENE YOU GUYS!
4. Another thing which people apparently hate on a lot but I find adorable and heartwarming was Scott and his love for Jean and vice versa. Like look at this dude! Look at the pure love he has for this girl and how much she loves him in return! God often times people can only dream of a love like that and that sort of support. I love their love and I was really glad that we didn't have an unnecessary love triangle. They already have enough pain.
5. THE FIRST SCENE! Amazing! Just absolutely amazing and I think one of the few scenes that actually portrayed Charles accurately. This is the man that we love. The kind professor who makes metaphors about pens and gifts and using them to write or stab people and it's just beautiful. I love him so so much and all of his interactions with Jean made me so emo. My darling found a daughter and Jean found her real father and. It. Hurts. Me. So. Much!
Did anyone notice how all of Charles' family is family of choice? With Raven his sister and Jean his daughter and everyone else.
6. And let's not forget THE LAST SCENE! CHEERRIIIKKKKKKK AAAHHHHH!!! People these are the two men that have kept me hooked on the X-Men universe. Their conflicts and their love for each other and how at the end they always gravitate towards each other. With this ending scene and the ending of their arc we get perhaps one of the sweetest endings ever. Perhaps in the future when homophobia is a forgotten concept we will get an actual Cherik kiss or confession. But let us never forget James and Michael and Patrick and Ian for their amazing work at bringing Charles and Erik and their love for each other, to life on screen. Thank you guys!
And a big thank you to all of the X-Men cast!
I will also be writing a list of things I didn't like soon. Check it out 😄

I just watched Aquaman and tried to figure out which atla character would fit into which aquaman character...
I guess
Mera needs to be Katara and I'd like Sokka to be Aquaman, but I don't like it because of the romance between Arthur and Mera. So maybe Aang could be Aquaman (both bridges between worlds - that could work)...
I didn’t watch Aquaman. The beginning and end of my thoughts on it are like, awoogah noise over Jason Momoa. thanks @klabautermanns for yellin a lil bit with me even though i
SO HERES AN XMEN EVOLUTION AU YOU DIDNT ASK FOR
( thanks @klabautermanns for yellin a lil bit with me and i cordially invite you to yell on here as well)
Sokka: Rogue. cute gay lil gloves and shes my comfort character, thats the justification. also... can you imagine... sokka... not being able to touch anyone? that scene with suki where they almost kiss but he has to pull back because he doesn’t want to hurt her? the way yue could map onto rogues origin of accidentally coma-ing his crush? YUE COMING BACK AS A MUTANT EVENTUALLY BUT HIM STILL BEING TOO AFRAID TO TOUCH HER LEAVE ME ALOOONE GOD
Azula & Zuko: Wanda and Pietro.
Ozai: a new character, evil scientist who runs around trying to turn children into stronger mutants to build an army for Reasons. it’s xmen, he doesnt need more of a justification than Reasons. smth smth always jealous of his brother Iroh, who is charles xavier. maybe he’s a US senator.
Hama: Magneto. #TheyDidNothingWrong #SheShowedGirlPower!!!
Aang: Kurt. catholic erasure obviously. but he’s still kurt
Katara: Kitty Pride, vaguely. but also Sokka’s sister. when he ran away she followed him, and then she forced them both to enroll in school.
Jeong Jeong: Wolverine. courtesy of @vietzuko‘s big brain in the discord
Jet: Lance.
the brotherhood of evil now includes Mai & Ty Lee (azula’s exhausted emotional support squad, their childhood playmates who were also experimented on and escaped with them) and all of Jet’s Freedom Fighters. They came to Hama for love of the movement, basically.
Azula and Zuko are nominally in charge, but a lot of that is for Azula’s benefit rather than because everyone does what they say or agrees with them. growing up, ozai turned them on each other a lot, and the types of abuse they experienced were similar but different. Zuko particularly has a tendency to implode and react with defensive techniques (invisibility, calming, sending ppl to sleep, running away faster than light), while Azula tends to explode. Before Ozai realized he couldn’t control Azula and started to get nervous of her, he’d have them fight each other a lot :/ very gamora nebula tbh.
toph is one of the sewer kids, maybe. suki is a nonmutant who is inspired by the fictional figure batman and her ancestor, a mythically powerful mutant named Kyoshi who created an island and taught women how to protect themselves.
mystique is june, because they’re both hot. she is NOT aang’s mother.

Dark Phoenix Movie Summary, Spoilers Ahead!
I got to see Dark Phoenix today so I decided to give you all a summary of the movie! Overall it was a very grounded and focused film that follows the struggle that Jean goes through after coming into contact with a powerful force and the ensuing conflict between the members of the X-Men on how to handle the situation. Keep on reading for my in depth spoiler filled movie summary!
Summary:
Dark Phoenix opens with Jean as a young girl traveling with her parents as her powers begin to manifest, an accident occurs because of this and Jean’s mother is killed. We are led to believe that Jean’s father also died but we later find out that he is in fact alive and no longer wanted anything to do with Jean after the death of her mother so he gave her over to Charles Xavier who then raised her in the X-Mansion. After all the trauma caused by the accident and the fact that her father gave her away, Charles decides to put up walls in Jean’s mind to “protect” her from the truth and instead tells her that her father also died.
We then flash forward into the 90′s where NASA sends a group of astronauts into space but their mission is quickly ended when they encounter what they believe to be a solar flare that damages their ship. The President himself contacts Charles Xavier, as the X-Men are now viewed as Heroes, and asks him personally if they can help. Jean at first is a bit apprehensive of this mission and notices that Mystique is as well, she asks Mystique if she is comfortable with this mission and Mystique promises that if anything goes wrong she will turn the ship around. The team boards the X-Jet and heads off to space. After saving the crew the “solar flare” begins to intensify and Mystique demands that they leave, but Charles tells them they have to stay as one more members of the NASA crew is on board. Jean and Kurt go back onto the ship to save him but when the “solar flare” hits the ship Kurt is only able to save himself and the crew member. The force enters Jean and causes the NASA ship to explode, but surprisingly Jean is saved by the force and is brought back on board via Kurt and they go home.
Back on Earth the X-Men are praised for their heroism and Charles attends a ceremony to honor himself and the X-Men. Mystique questions Charles motives as she believes he is putting the X-Men’s lives at risk for his shot at fame and glory and isn’t considering anyone else. Hank checks up on Jean and notices that her powers are beginning to grow off the charts but Jean assures him and everyone else that she feels better then okay. Jean, Scott, Kurt, Quicksilver and Storm attend a mutant party with Dazzler as the entertainment as Mystique and Hank watch from the mansion. Mystique tells Hank she doesn’t believe Charles is leading the team for the right reasons and never actually puts himself on the line but is reckless with everyone else. She tells Hank she wants to leave the X-Men and live a normal life now that mutants aren’t hated as much as they were before. Hank convinces her to stay right before they notice Jean’s power levels rising. At the party Scott tells Jean that the kids are calling her Phoenix after the mythological bird that rises from the ashes after her near death experience. Jean continuously drinks more and more and begins to lose control of the entity within herself as she notices the raging fire at the party. The noises around her begin to intensify and she lets out a shock wave of energy that throws everyone to the ground and she passes out. Charles leaves the ceremony after sensing the trouble Jean is in and returns to the mansion to try and enter Jean’s mind to see what is happening with her. With the entity now inside of Jean her powers have grown far stronger and Charles is no longer able to read her mind so he, Hank and Mystique enter Cerebro to enhance his powers. They enter Jean’s mind where Raven notices that her mind appears damaged and closed off. Charles reveals that he put up walls in Jean’s mind to protect her but with the force inside of her and her growing power the walls are beginning to break. Jean awakens and realizes her father is still alive and forcefully throws Charles out of her head upon discovering he lied to her. Jean decides to leave the mansion and find her father. Scott runs into the room after her forcing Charles out of her head to see if she is ok and Jean realizes that she hurt him at the party which only makes her want to leave more. Scott tells her that he will always stay by her side and asks her to stay. Jean puts him to sleep and leaves the mansion. After awakening, Scott informs the others that she left to find her father whom he thought was dead. Everyone begins to realize what Charles did and they quickly board the jet to find Jean.
Several alien ships arrive on Earth and split off in different directions. A get together at the home of a woman named Margaret is interrupted as her dog barks outside due to the alien ships outside. She leaves the party briefly to go investigate the reason of her dog’s barking and encounters the aliens themselves who kill her and and one impersonates her before they murder the rest of the party to impersonate them as well.
Jean arrives at her father and childhood home and knocks on the door, shocking him. He lets her inside and they awkwardly hold small talk with Jean being excited and emotional to see him after believing he was dead and her father being closed off and not very interested. He goes to get her a glass of water leaving Jean by herself to examine the pictures on the wall. As he returns the entity begins to awaken once more as Jean realizes there are no pictures of her on the wall. Her father tells her that after Jean killed her mother his life died with her and so did his love for Jean. This causes her to grow angry but the X-Men arrive catching her attention instead. Charles asks Jean to come back but she refuses now knowing that Charles lied to her. Scott attempts to convince her as well but she sticks to her decision. A squad of police cars arrive and Jean finally snaps using her power to stop the cars. The X-Men go into action but are all quickly thrown aside, with Quicksilver being badly hurt in the process. Hank attempts to take a shot at Jean with what can be presumed as a power dampening gun but Charles stops him so that Raven can attempt to calm her. Jean tells Raven to leave as the entity grows angry and she is losing control and doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Raven continues to try and calm her and tells her that she will always be by her side. Jean loses control of her rage and lets out another shock wave of energy impaling Raven into a splintered piece of wood, shocked by her own actions Jean quickly flees and Hank runs to Raven’s aid. Before dying she attempts to tell Hank that she loves him. The X-Men hold a funeral for Raven and their struggle on how to handle Jean begins. Scott and Charles want to save her, but Hank wants to stop her with any means necessary. Storm is apprehensive and believes that Jean is gone.
Jessica Chastain’s character named Vuk, impersonating Margaret, regroups with the other aliens and we discover they are what remains of the alien race D'Bari who have come to Earth in search of the cosmic entity to use it in hopes of saving their race and taking over residence on the Earth. Another member reveals to her that they have tracked the entity and that it is now located inside of a mutant girl.
Jean arrives on Genosha in hopes that Magneto can help her control her urge to kill and cause destruction. He attempts to learn who’s blood is on her shirt but she avoids the question and continues to explain that her powers are growing and she can’t control them. Magneto attempts to make Jean angry to see what happens when she is filled with rage but his attempts are put on hold when a group of military soldiers arrive in search of Jean. Eric tries to get them to leave and hide Jean from them but she makes her presence known as the entity takes over again and she attempts to kill all the soldiers and destroy their helicopters. Eric is able to hold the chopper back long enough for the soldiers to board and escape. Eric then demands Jean leave and tells her while Genosha is a safe haven for mutants he doesn’t want someone like Jean there to bring harm to anyone. After Jean leaves Hank arrives and tells Eric about the death of Raven and they both agree that they have to kill Jean.
Vuk locates Jean and after convincing Jean to trust her she takes her back to the D’Bari safe house where she shows Jean the true nature of the cosmic entity within her telling her that it was the spark that created the universe and that it destroyed her home planet. The D’Bari followed the entity and witnessed it entering Jean and now want to help Jean control the power so that she can evolve beyond her human life and become something more, something that can create life itself. Jean agrees to help Vuk and to finally let go of trying to control the entity. Charles, Storm, Kurt and Scott arrive at the safe house at the same time as Magneto, Hank, Selene and Red Lotus. A fight ensues over how to handle Jean and they wreck havoc in the streets of New York. Eric raises a subway car in the street to wall himself off from the X-Men and enters the building to kill Jean. Jean holds his power off and uses his helmet to injure him before throwing him through the building. Charles and Kurt manage to get inside the building and try to calm Jean down, but she is unwilling to back down. Jean then forces Charles to walk upstairs so she can confront him face to face. A scene slightly reminiscent of the scene from The Last Stand occurs where Jean holds Charles in the air and begins to suck the life out of him. Jean enters Charles mind and slowly gains back control as she realizes that Charles truly does care about her and wants to help her. Now back in control Jean tells Vuk to take the entity out of her if she wants it so bad. They embrace and Vuk begins to suck the entity out of Jean and in the process she reveals her plans to Charles of wanting to destroy humanity and rebuild hero own race on Earth. Charles then attempts to get Jean to break contact with Vuk but she is unable until Scott blasts Vuk off of her. Before they are able to escape the military arrive and capture the X-Men and Magneto and his forces.
Now on a train heading to a mutant detainment camp Charles apologizes to Hank for how he treated Jean and the rest of the X-Men and says that he was the villain in all of this, but that he stands by his beliefs that Jean is being controlled and that they have to save her before Vuk consumes the entity within her. Magneto, Hank and the others agree to help save Jean and stop the D’Bari from gaining the entity. The train is then attack by the D’Bari and most of the soldiers are killed before one of them sets the mutants free to aid in the fight. An epic train battle ensues as Charles and Scott attempt to wake Jean. Inside Charles head he converses with Jean who forgives him for hurting and lying to her and she realizes that she has to protect her family. Vuk arrives now wielding a small portion of the entity and quickly stops the mutants in her way before reaching Jean. Jean awakens and throws Vuk out of the train derailing the train the process in an attempt to stop the D’Bari and save the X-Men and Magneto.
Now on the ground Jean and the entity work together to disintegrate the remaining members of the D’Bari, though one of them gains the upper hand and impales Jean with a weapon injuring and stopping her briefly before the entity heals her and kills the alien. Vuk makes her grand entrance and enters and showdown with Jean as the two are surrounded by the cosmic force as Jean makes an attempt to overwhelm her with the force. Jean begins to gain the upper hand but realizes that she can’t fully control the cosmic entity and is hurting Scott in the process with the power. Vuk tells Jean that her emotions make her weak, but Jean disagrees and believes they make her strong. Jean silently bids farewell and she takes herself and Vuk into space as her and the entity finally converge into one transforming Jean into a flaming cosmic presence and exploding into a force with the appearance of a bird and killing Vuk.
In the end Charles leaves the X-Men and gives over leadership to Hank. The school is renamed the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning and we learn that Jean is now one with the cosmic entity and is still alive out in space, having evolved beyond her former self.
