2014: Upon discovering that the genome of the A virus contains sequences previously known to exist within the Plagas, Chris suggests they consult with Leon Kennedy in the hopes that he will be able to help, thanks to his experience with the Plagas. Unfortunately, they find him drunk off his ass in Colorado, having given in to a latent drinking problem after the losses he suffered during the C virus outbreaks of the previous year and the bombings used to contain them or cover up the involvement of high-ranking government officials. Chris tries to explain the situation to him, but hearing that Arias’ motivation stems from the death of his wife in a CIA bombing of his wedding in an attempt to kill him for arms dealing only makes him less interested in helping, as he is disillusioned with a government full of corruption and poor decisions that have repeatedly led to the deaths of civilians. Rebecca stops them from arguing, explaining that she has discovered that the A virus lays dormant in a host until it is triggered by an unknown external factor. Unbeknownst to the trio, Arias is watching the restaurant, and takes an interest in Rebecca, sending Maria to abduct her when she heads to the restroom. Shortly after, an acquaintance of Leon’s runs into the restaurant, whom Leon blames for the death of his squad and argues with. He explains that his family has been taken hostage by an arms dealer– Arias– and are being held in Spain with the remaining members of the Plagas cult. Leon demands information on Arias from him in exchange for helping his family, but before anything can be said, the restaurant is attacked by Arias’ men, and he is shot and killed by Diego Gomez. Though Chris and Leon narrowly escape, they quickly realize Rebecca has been abducted.

Angela was more shaken up than she wanted to admit. Her mind was still going a thousand miles a minute. When the S.R.T. team was called in, she had been expecting a disaster, but this? This... Those people hadn't been people anymore, they were monsters. Zombies.

She gave up on her attempt to tend to her hand, which she sliced open on broken glass, and let Rebecca take over.

"Thanks," Angela said quietly, offering her a weak smile before watching her work. "...So, none of this is new to you, huh?"

Rain knew what was coming from the shrill cry alone, but she still hadn't been able to avoid the B.O.W. in time. She could kick her own ass. After getting knocked over a table and taking all the expensive equipment and colorful chemicals with her, she collided with the edge of a counter on the opposite side of the lab. The less-than-pleasant impact and landing would surely give her some nice big bruises, but that was the least of her worries now.

The hunter's sharp claws had cut right through the material of both Rain's tactical vest and uniform. Her abdomen felt as though it were on fire. Pushing past the pain the best she could, she aimed her rifle beneath the table and opened fire on the creature's scaly knees. It dropped to the floor before long, but she didn't take her finger off the trigger until it stopped writhing.

"Go... Get outta here while the hall's still clear..." When the woman's reply came, Rain shot her a stern glare from beneath her brows. "My orders... are to get white coats like you to safely evacuate the building... Go while you have the chance..." Even though her voice was growing a bit unsteady already, she still managed to summon her commanding, don't-argue-with-me tone.

She grabbed hold of the handle of a locked cabinet and tried to get herself up. "I'll be fine..." she got out through gritted teeth.

I was rereading Book 3 (for about the tenth time), and had a question regarding the Chamber. They have a fifth, unoccupied chair that I assume was Rebecca’s. Everyone’s chairs seemed to fit their personalities. If I read it correctly, Rebecca’s chair was similar to a throne and fairy-tale like, which doesn’t seem to fit no-fuss Rebecca. Is there some sort of meaning behind this?

It might be a sad state of obsession now that I’m fixating on hidden meanings in furniture, but I absolutely love these books!

Rook designed Rebecca's chair. It was a surprise when she got promoted to the Chamber position. They had a running joke/thing between them where Rook was constantly trying to convince Rebecca that their love was made of the stuff from fairy tales.

Seeing fans saying how traumatising returning to Raccoon city for Leon is and how he should be the one to return along grace and all that , how poetic it would be for him to return and perish there as it’s his end and his start

Yes Raccoon City was traumatising for Leon and his starting point and it’s poetic.

But you do realise it’s the starting point of ALL of the original Protagonists , Chris , Jill , Claire , Leon , Rebecca , returning to that City is Traumatising for all of them , it’s poetic for any of them to perish there Not just Leon.

2014: Four months later, Dr. Rebecca Chambers is attacked while working in the lab. Maria Gomez releases Arias’ version of the T virus, the A virus, into the lab’s ventilation, turning most of the staff into zombies. Rebecca survives, synthesizing an experimental vaccine for the virus from samples of the A virus that had been obtained in recent outbreaks and injecting herself with it in the nick of time. She is forced to fight off multiple zombies using nothing more than a fire extinguisher and a pair of scissors, but is soon rescued by a BSAA squad led by Chris Redfield. The two begin to work to piece together Arias’ next move.

"If one more of those... those things tries to grab me, I'm gonna completely freak out!" Terri exclaimed with a jerky, emphatic wave of her hands.

Terri wasn't sure how much more she could take. Unfortunately, she only had two options at the moment. One, sit there and wait for the bomb to drop on Raccoon City tomorrow morning. Two, film what was going down and try to escape alongside Rebecca.

Terri was trying to look at it this way: There were far more pluses that came with continuing on than giving up. If she survived, she wouldn't be dead! She'd hopefully live for another fifty-ish years. Maybe more. Maybe she could set a record for being the oldest woman alive.

If she survived, she would get to show the rest of the world the horrors of the outbreak with what she was documenting on her camcorder. Maybe she could even get a proper interview with Rebecca once they were somewhere safe.

If Terri survived, she could move on up in the world again... Past her weather girl position, past working at a small local news station altogether. They'd be giving her an Emmy. She wanted that more than anything...

Trying to latch onto the sliver of strength that dream continued to provide her, Terri did her best to keep her legs from giving out beneath her as Rebecca hauled her to her feet. "Thanks... Ow..." She examined her bloody knee. It was nothing more than a bad scrape from the concrete, but she was growing more paranoid as the night went on. "Is that bad...? Am I infected now?"

“ are you sure you’re okay? ”

"Yeah, I'm sure," Rain all but bit out. She drew a deep breath and glanced one last time at the zombie on the floor at her feet. Dark, coagulated blood was slowly pooling beneath its head like molasses.

The monster looked a helluva a lot like her best friend, J.D. It wasn't him. Rain knew that. Shortly before Raccoon City went up in flames, she failed to save him from getting eaten alive by a horde of the undead.

...He came back as one of them. Rain was forced to put him out of his misery.

The corpse in front of her wasn't J.D., but the resemblance was strong enough for it to register as such in her brain, for all the guilt and pain to rise up the back of her throat like bile, for her to hesitate like she had all those years ago.

Luckily, Rain hadn't gotten herself bitten again, but she was dangerously close. With her pistol aimed, finger wrapped around the trigger, and a clear shot at a face clearly already slack with death, she had no reason to let the creature get close enough to grab her. Reminding herself that she needed to keep focus and could continue ripping herself a new one later, she turned to look back at Rebecca. "The bastard took me by surprise. That's all... We have to keep moving."

Without waiting for a response, or for her to follow, Rain continued down the corridor, scratching unconsciously at the faded bite scar on her neck.

S.T.A.R.S. as LPS!!! Cause why not combine two of my favorite things on my day off!! Reasons below!

Jill - She’s either a seal or an otter, both water related, both can be surprisingly brutal (thinking of river otters specifically)

Brad - Its too easy to just make him the rooster, so I decided go add the droopy eyed cat cause whenever I see those molds, they remind me of him! He’d be brown perhaps??

Chris - He’s a wolf! Went back and forth between wolf or German Shepard, but wolf just fit more to me

Wesker - Fox #1812 or Lion #1576 specifically! He was a hard one to think of an lps for, I ended up falling on the “Foxes are sneaky” trope and the fact that Lions are a symbol of leadership

Barry - I know it’s a bit lazy to just assign Barry a Bear, but I just the red guy and I couldn’t resist! He’s specifically #1075

Joseph - Not a whole lot of reason to make Joseph a tiger other than it just makes me think of him when I look at it!

Rebecca - I know assigning her a donkey (g7 specifically) is unexpected but hear me out!!! It looks like her!!! Yes, I do have this one and YES I named her Rebecca!!! Also a deer, people think deers are dainty and fragile, but they’re very hardy and will fight for their life when they have to! I’d imagine she’d still have a few fawn spots like the one pictured!

Edward - Great Dane!! It was just too perfect!

Enrico - Ferret #1054! Same reasons as Joseph tbh, this Ferret just reminds me of Enrico

Kenneth - Butterfly #1064, the green matches his vest and the orange wings match his orange shirt! Kenneth makes me think of butterflies, he’s just a butterfly to me
