a tiny little zine inspired by @koddlet’s how-to! (i love your zines, they’re so fun and inspiring!) i first just folded it out of a sticky note for fun and put it in my pocket thinking “i’ll fill this in later when i have an idea” and then i looked outside and it was so. fucken dark. and here we are :) i really loved treating it as an exercise in “draw whatever comes to mind, let it be as shitty as possible, just try something” — drawing isn’t something i think of as my strong suit but little doodles sure are fun!
#looking at this again as i add the IDs i think i made the darkness angled the wrong way lol#whatever#this was so fun and freeing!!!#if it was larger i probably would have added another scene and some more commentary to explain the sunset scene—#i get really picturesque sunsets where i live and it’s tempting to take them for granted but i don’t want to#so whenever someone comments on it i make a point of fully getting up and looking and just Appreciating it for a minute#every time#even when i’m kind of annoyed that it’s already getting dark when i need the daylight to motivate me to Do Stuff lmao#(how to make this story more stressful: imagine the book on page 3 is a required reading book and i have to read 8 chapters by the next day#but overall it’s just a snippet of my winter nighttime mood :)#penguin’s ponderings#i hope that’s my tag for og posts. i forget tbh

I need that to be clear now#I am going to be hooting and hollering like this is a football game and I'm a 50 year old dad#I am so fucking excited#I'm going to become more inhuman than I already am#This chapter has three (3!!!!) of my favorite pages in the entire manga and that's saying something#Also I just haven't been able to stop going 'beep beep! Three two one- ZERO!'#To the point I've even referenced it in my g-8 rewrite#I cannot be stopped. I will not be stopped.#For reference some of my other fave pages are:#Luffy in logue town staring at the execution platform#Rayleigh's title card#(also the final bit of sabaody with the narrator talking about their defeat)#Robin's 'I want to live' page#Katakuri's defeat where Luffy is standing over him and Katakuri is an absolute giant of a man#(also Katakuri's donuts scene lol)#Saul telling Robin to laugh like dereshishishishi#The page where Chopper is holding out the mushroom and he's beat to all hell and back#Bc that panel rips my heart out every time#I have so many lol#The introduction of the flower capital in Wano took my breath away so that's up there too#There's a lot. I have a lot.#But this chapter alone has THREE of them#It is an absolute banger. Dare I say it's taken the first place as my favorite chapter in all of op? It might have!!#I read it so often...

I've finished all the pages for Chapter 8 of Urchin Quest! When chapter 7 concludes in a few weeks, we'll for sure have ready to go new pages ^^
This time around getting chapter 8 finished was tough. A lot of external stuff kept me from working on it, but also it proved a tricky thing to stay motivated about. Now it's done, I'm actually really happy with it, and kind of want to get stuck in to making chapter 9 straight away
#my plan is to get to 10 chapters of urchin quest#the massive story in my head is a minimum of 3 arcs long- 10 chapters each#but I'm gonna see where I'm at once I reach 10 chapters#maybe I'll be financially able to just- keep making it#cuz I really like it#and it's helped me improve as an artist#equally these pages take a WHILE to make and I have to be practical#so... year#chapter 8 coming in like two months :D#Please reblog and comment on the pages if you can

Im on winterkeep as well! Tbh im not entirely sure how I feel. They just seem really... long? For not much happening. Bitterblues def been my favorite so far! :)
#Theres also just some weird stuff#Like in fire the king idk his name and mila#Why. Why did the author do that.#And i think the series is heading towards a giddon/bitterblue relationship with i dont like too much either#Hes like 8 years older than her and it just feels more like a sibling dynamic ya know?#There are some things i like though!!#Katsa and po are very fun#Absolutely unhinged couple in the best way possible#And saf my beloved <3 complete loser#Love that his grace was slightly hyped up to be some big reveal and then it was like 'lol he can give good dreams'#My least favorite book has def been fire#For one i just. Didnt care much about any of the characters#And after about 300 pages fires problems just became a bit repetitive? If you get what i mean#It got interesting in the last few chapters#But that thing did not have to be like 600 pages#Ig it didnt help that my hopes were high for it#Everything i saw online was like 'omg fire absolitely ripped my heart out' and 'better than the first book'#And maybe its just me but i just? Summary: Task Force 141 operates successfully without an omega, at least that’s what Price has been saying since its formation. Two alphas and two betas balance the pack just fine, and they have the numbers to prove it.
It works for a while, until the Omega Initiative is born and the 141 find themselves having to adjust to the sudden addition of an omega to their pack. Fresh out of an institute, you’re hardly fit for their secretive, dangerous world, or so Price thinks.
