Hey btw I think it’s interesting that “ur” when used in text can be accurately interpreted as your (possessive, sound-alike shorthand) or you’re (you are conjunction, U being you and R being are and together is the “ur”)
So if you aren’t sure which your or you’re to use then just use “ur” and suddenly the grammar police will be unable to get a warrant.
#is this how this works?#grammar#shorthand#text#text post#I actually don’t know how to tag this properly#unrelated I really like frogs and I don’t know how to tell anyone without going on a rant#but I don’t want to rant#I want to tell you about the Australian green tree frog#you should really look them up they look so funky#Chonky frog#also the Australian lace-lid frog#it’s cute#I saw an edit of it once and it had fairy wings#centralian burrowing frog is also really tiny#just a little guy#I now realize I should probably stop talking…#tagging I mean#ok bye if you have questions about frogs or frog pictures DM me k thanks.

The Centralian has the most potential for shenanigans. He and a hellmonster help each other escape containment and try to reintegrate with society, with the monster posing as a case-53. Of the two of them, of course, the demonspawn hellbeast is the one who's actually a decent person.
Random Parahuman Abilities I've been sitting on for a while:
Porting some of these from Reddit.
The Mule is a stranger who becomes increasingly difficult to detect in proportion to how much weight he's currently supporting. The use of extremely cumbersome body armor allows for undetectable, but extremely time-consuming, smash-and-grab jobs and assassinations.
Jawbreaker is a blaster who spits her own teeth as hypersonic projectiles; she can fire them one at a time, or all at once in a shotgun blast of enamel. Her brute secondary causes her teeth to slowly regenerate over the course of 24 hours. Coldcut is a shaker/striker who can imbue bladed weapons with a cryokinetic effect; any cuts he makes will begin to locally drain ambient heat, in a way that quickly stacks in a death-by-a-thousand-cuts way. While obviously an immensely unpleasant kind of injury to sustain directly, Coldcut's preferred fighting style is to funnel his opponents into enclosed spaces that he's had time to repeatedly mark as his territory with numerous scratches, such that anyone who lacks Coldcut's secondary immunity to low temperatures will rapidly succumb to hypothermia. He runs an extremely-low-overhead cold-storage business on the side.
Pincushion is a thinker who becomes smarter in proportion to how much discomfort he's in, resulting in a consulting detective rocking cenobite aesthetics.
Pitch is a telekinetic whose telekinesis sets whatever she's manipulating on fire.
Manslide is a shaker who can locally reorient gravity so that "down" becomes whichever direction he's running in.
The Centralian is (was) a blaster/shaker with the ability to drill Navidson-style non-euclidean impossibly-deep tunnels into any discrete surface; if large enough, these tunnels would begin disgorging incredible volumes of noxious smoke, and eventually, hundreds and hundreds of monsters of the exact variety you'd expect would get disgorged from an infinite-smoking hell tunnel. Upon the consumption of his recently purchased cauldron vial, The Centralian accidentally generated a pit the size of a football field directly beneath himself and fell hopefully to his death; the resulting disaster area was up for classification as a PRT exclusion zone before it was discovered that the corpses of the pit monsters and the sides of the pit itself were both laden with rare-earth minerals. Now the whole area is actually kind of a boom town for capes with turbolethal powers and tinkers with supply-chain problems.

of your third favorite lizard—what is it’s genetic cousin in the species department?
So I'm not into lizards. Like I used to be TERRIFIED of them (wierd story) so I asked a friend which lizard I would like and they told me smooth knob tailed gekco which, yeah okay in a picture it's nice and I had to look up a Wikipedia article so yeah
"Favorite" lizard- smooth knob tailed gekco
Genetic cousin- Centralian knob tailed gecko
Plus pic of a the lizards:

Baby lizard
This is the smooth geco
And the cousin (I'm assigning the centralian geco the status of older cousin):

Big fierce baby lizard
#to be real#i will scream or atleast get out of whatever place they are in.#im sorry but I don't like lizards#but um yeah#lizarda#smooth knob tailed gecko#leopard gecko#centralian gecko#please excuse spelling mistakes

Major biome types general overview
Sorry folks still no pictures. But I'd better heal properly.
So the most common type of relief you will see just about everywhere is a fracturescape. Fracturescape is created when you mix a plateaus, canyons, caves, and acidy solution with some wind/water erosion and some very stubborn sedentary and borrowing lifeforms. And upon it everything else is built.
Second - such thing as "aerial plankton" exists.
Third - cardinal directions are zenith (~north), nadir (~south), dawn (~east), dusk (~west). Nightwards - go to the edge of the map till you hit Nightside. Same with Dayside. Edge of something means borderlands between of light zones.
Concentric nature of this world might be strange but as is.
Cyclelands
Most frequent feature are gigaforests that can go as high as 2 kilometers up (or ~1.24 miles).
Colossal "trees" that compose them, the irminsuli, are not true plants. They are closer to earthen coral but again, it's a very loose comparison. Ediacarian fauna might be closer. But regardless, their petrified and extant exoskeletons provide living space and evolutionary opportunities for life for uncountable amounts of actual plants and animals.
Also irminsuli have an interesting (but also completely understandable) preference for seismically calm regions. And they tend to stay away from the coasts. Well, given that a single individual might weight tens of thousands of tons I can hardly blame them.
Shallow seas of the Cyclelands are brimming with life due to being fully in the photic zone and having constant addition from cold currents that form in those parts, that exist in the Duskwastes. Line between coast and shallow water is blurry on Marmakul as it's are covered with sunken forests filled with smaller and a lot less "finicky" relatives of irnimsuli called laeradi. They grow to be "only" about a 100 or so (~330) meters high and tend to move a lot more. And they do great in water too. Underwater and aerial biodiversity in this region is unrivaled.
Polar eye (if it is a tiny insulated ocean or a big insulated inland sea is up to debate), on the other hand is a whole different kettle of tea. It's dark and deep and surrounded by a ring of fire. It's a highly active regions in term of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Creatures, plants, algae and fungi that live in there are adaptive and opportunistic.
Dayside
Moonstrike canyons are a very interesting feature. Well, remember how I said that this world has 2 moons? The gravitational pull is several times stronger than on earth and waters tend to rush in and out twice a day, creating wast and deep labyrinthine semi-fjords semi-canyons that stretch well and far into dry land. Their walls are typically covered with holes from borrowing animals, vines hanging mosses and plants, colourful lichen and fancy mushrooms, that apparently like to flex on each other whose fruiting body's are weirder and/or prettier and/or explode louder.
On top of these narrow chasms entirely covered with predatory grass (which is in fact a type of land-dwelling algae: Marmakul doesn't have any sort of grass analogue) with rare spots of sinkhole lakes. This biome revolves entirely around titular algae, it's preys, parasites, symbiotes and generally those creatures which don't bother it much and themselves aren't to its gastronomical liking.
Away from canyons, fjords and strange grasslands lays an inland sea surrounded by swampy plains which in turn surrounded by Crown Ridge or, how folks here call it "Cradle of Lightnings". Essentially, it works as one colossal storm generator: winds blow across the sea and the surrounding swampy plains. These air masses meet the high mountain ridges that are about 4 kilometers high and enclose the plain from three sides. The heat and moisture collected across the plains create electrical charges and, as the air masses are destabilized by the mountain ridges, result in thunderstorm activity.
In the Centralian Sea life is no less abundant despite it being much hotter and highly unpredictable. Lush algae mats grow big and thick, providing hiding places and food. Storms might tears them apart or even set on fire the upper layers but hey, it only makes things more interesting!
Rule of thumb again: the more active the suns are, the bigger the eternal storm become, the more ozone this place generates. Keep in mind, eternal storm never ceases, it just shrinks.
Duskwastes
At the Edges of Dawn and Dusk there are familiar gigaforests and parts of Crown Ridge. But gigaforests are lower here, and if you keep moving nightwards, they will start giving place to open spaces more and more until forests turn into colossal stone steps called the Dreaming Veld, it's a beautiful place with still enough light from two suns and large amount of bioluminescent plants, lichens, algae, fungi and animals. But we have to leave the Veld with it's red and purple flora, picturesque waterfalls and high energy storms behind us.
Lower we go and lo! Behold the purple meadows of twilight. Beautiful rolling hills as far as eye can see. Ethereal-looking plants float in the midair. Fungi that decided that cosplaying jellyfish is cool thing to do. Are those rocks or a colony of feathertongues?
We will leave purple meadows (at Dusk) and it's sister biome of pink steppe (at Dawn) behind and go further nightward. Vegetation turns darker and darker until it's all just different shades of violet and black. Strange creatures lazily stack us but keep their distances. Bioluminescence is everywhere.
Down to the White Mirror we go. Poetic name for a large region of salty flats. Once here was the sea. But now it's long gone. Water in the rare springs we might come across has a strong taste of minerals.
Wind rises. And so does the earth below as we go up again. There is a short stripe of meadows again but stop almost abruptly. We are entering the Lapidarian heights. Their upper parts are covered with crookedwoods . Valleys below are mostly open mosslands with patches of mushroom scrubs.
Lapidarian heights are full of holes and caves. Underground petrified tunnels left ages ago by giant creatures long gone, made even bigger by acid solution. They stretch long, so long, who knows to where..? Fresh water tubeworms filter boiling hot streams, strange eyeless fungibeasts lurk around hydrothermal vents in the lakes, walls are covered with bio- and chemoluminescent algae, something makes strange noises in the darkness of lower levels... The less said about these tunnels, the better. They are no place for sane sapient creatures.
Nightside
At the edge of the night hurracanes are frequent and violent, as cold and hot air masses move and collide.
In the center of Nightside there is an ice shield, that also grows or shrinks depending on activity of the suns. Crown Ridge cuts through it. Around it there is a freezing blind tundra lit by aurora nyxis, stars above and light reflected from the neighbour gas giant planet.
Further from it, there are icy waters of Sunless Ocean, dark & deep but fruitful and a lot calmer, compared to it's dayside counterpart. Continental shelf is very small here. But various kinds of hot spots are frequent.
Chaoticae chasms that cover all of the Nightside are very deep. As deep as 2 kilometers or so. Rumours say that their walls are composed of petrified shells of irminsuli ancestors. Who knows, who knows... Regardless, at the very bottom of chasms hot hydrothermal waters boil and rush through the narrow passages.
The on the walls of chasms hanging gardens devour all light available, no matter how dim, and bath in the hot air that ascends from below. Mushrooms evolved to rival trees. Some plants have embraced their predatory urges. Feathertongue grow giant, they love to feast on all and any flying creatures that migrate using the warm air currents from Day to Night and back.
But the greatest of all chasms, The Marakot's Claw, is a sight to behold. Marakot's Claw is extraordinary deep, narrow, flanked by mountains and looks like an almost perfect arc, curving for over whooping 4000 kilometers (that is about ~2485 miles). It's 30 to 220 kilometers wide (18,6 to 136,7 miles) and about 3-4 kilometers (1,8 - 2,4 miles) deep.
To clarify how big it is, I made a similar arc on the map of China.

I will tell about it more in-depth later.
Next post will be about native sapient people of Marmakul, the tkellas. Whoo boy, we are about to enter the strangest sophontologic places!

Centralian referring to the people of Central Island, because I don't have a conlang to name them yet.

This was just a random idea I had. In my brain Central Jersey is the Jersey that shows the most, problem is is since CJ is so...let's go with disconnected, with the rest of the country he gets overwhelmed, and sure North could just switch in and South could do the same if they all wanted to scare the others with a southern accent that has the slang of the California coast, but watching a place that doesn't exist (it totally does btw) is way funnier.
Besides, by now all the other states that aren't the OG13 think that New Jersey has brown-looks red in certain light-eyes and it would scare the devil out of 'em if they see the red eyes that North actually has (and considering it's HIS body, it is far to tempting).
Also is it obvious that I love the idea that it's the Jersey's and not just Jersey, like I live here, if it's one singular state then I'm from Pennsylvania (I may have been born there but I sure as heaven ain't from there). Jersey would be three different states if we wanted to be associated with the rest of the country more than we already are, that and we may not agree on things but we don't HATE each other, we leave that for the rest of the country (plus let's be real, central wouldn't exist and then what would north and south argue about?)
Anyway as a proud Centralian looking at the news of the rest of the country is overwhelming, I just want to go skating, to the arcade, and continue lovin our favorite Devil, and down the shore when it's nice (and no, down don't mean literally down, though normally we are going down).
#welcome to the table#wttt#wttt new jersey#wttsh new jersey#wttt south jersey#wttt central jersey#wttt fanart#wttt headcanons#technically#gosh i love my state#we stay out of the way#generally#we're pretty simple#well to those who live here#and only sometimes#but we are consistently north#except we aren't#at all whatso ever#honestly we are more inconsistent than the whole country#and lets face it jersey could be its own country and be pretty much the same#hell maybe even better#anyway#jersey is probably the southern state of the north#its real northern in some places#but the rest#well it gets more southern the more your in...different places#honestly its hard to tell when your north or south if there aren't mountains or swamps or the ocean#like incredibly hard#it really shouldnt be#the south of the state should be southern

A Saint/goddess/cryptid of the Pacific Northwest known as the Deary Canary.
Lore below
Deary Canary is a known supernatural being who inhabits the country of Cascadia, located on the western seaboard of Northern Columbia. She takes the form of a birdlike humanoid with disproportionately long arms and two wings, wearing the traditional garb of Cascadian and Canadian nuns, which includes a hood, a cloak, a long-sleeved dress, and long underwear. Her cloak appears to be made from both fabric and feathers. Her plumage is a mix of deep greens, yellows, and blues that lets her blend into Cascadia’s dense forests. She wears metal adornments in the shape of sharp polygons on chains, and her clothing is lightly embroidered with geometric shapes. Her hood and the front of her dress feature a crest in the shape of a kite and two triangles.
Deary is known as Saint Canary within the hybrid native and Christian religion of Cascadia. In this capacity, she is the protector of wayward travelers, lost children, widowers, and victims of accidents. She is said to have been a native avian who was martyred in the Cascadian-Alaskan Independence War, killed defending an orphanage from a rogue Centralian regiment.

Capitol Wins Big Vs. Centralia – Rematch for District Crown Tonight
Centralia’s District Title Delayed Capitol Drubs Unbeaten Team, Forcing Second Title Game
Sam Bakotich Sports Editor
MONTESANO – Capitol avenged an earlier loss to Centralia with a surprisingly easy 10-3 pasting of its nemesis in the championship round of the District III 11-12 Majors Little League All-Star Tournament at Nelson Field Thursday night.
Centralia beat Capitol 9-5 Tuesday to put the Olympia squad in the losers bracket. And then Capitol knocked off Chehalis Wednesday to earn a shot at unbeaten Centralia.
But on Thursday night it was all Capitol in the first title showdown, forcing a winner-take-all championship tonight at 6, back at Nelson Field.
“We’ll come back fine,” said Centralia manager Mike Housden. “We’ll throw Justin (Reyna) and he’s our No. 1. And we feel good to go into the title game with our No. 1.
“We’re confident we can do it.”
Capitol removed all the suspense from this one early as it blew out to an 8-0 lead after two innings behind seven hits and three Centralia errors.
“We’ve kind of had slow starts at all our games here,” said Housden. “But we’ve been able to weather it in the other games.”
But Thursday, the 8-0 lead was way more than enough for Capitol pitcher Leif Hanson, who tossed a gem.
The burly right-hander, with an exceptional fastball, and even better control (just one walk) threw the maximum 85 pitches, which took him 5? innings into the game.
The only time Centralia got to him was the third when it scored all three of its runs.
Ty Housden, who left the game due to illness (headache) in the fifth inning, drove in the first two Centralia runs with a linedrive single to center that got past the fielder.
Drew Baldwin brought the other run in with a fielder’s choice.
But that was all Centralia could muster.
“Their pitcher did a fantastic job,” said coach Housden. “I don’t think he’s thrown much here yet, but he did a great job. He had good control and pretty good velocity.”
Lefty Brandon Conradi started on the mound for Centralia and did a good job settling down after the first two frames.
After the second, Conradi gave up just one run over the next three frames.
Capitol wrapped up its scoring with a solo home run from Jacob Mowry, who belted a pair of homers against Centralia Tuesday.
Capitol finished with 10 runs on 10 hits, led by Mowry, Noah Anderson, Garrett Feldtman and Shane San Nicholas with two hits each.
Feldtman had a great game going – with a pair of two-run singles in the first two innings – before leaving by ambulance in the second frame after injuring his lower right leg sliding into third.
Centralia had six scattered singles. A total of eight Centralians struck out.
Capitol not only hurt Centralia with its bats, but with some excellent team speed as well. The winners, who are aggressive and fast base runners, hurt Centralia with the smallball, laying down several bunts that Centralia had trouble fielding.
“We didn’t field bunts well at all,” said Housden.
But tomorrow is another day.
“We’re sitting pretty well,” Housden said. “Besides Justin, we also have Drew (Baldwin), Zack (Wood) and Ty (Housden) ready to go on the mound. We’ll battle back.”
The winner of the tourney will advance to the state tournament next week in Richland.
