Pissed off right now.

My partner has an appointment with a gender clinic today (it went well) and his clinician said something along the lines of;

"Please ignore the deadname on my email, I'm intersex and I've legally changed my name but I'm not 'technically trans' so higher ups say they won't change it on my professional email."

Hello???? He works at a gender clinic????

A name change is a name change regardless???

I feel like the fucking joker whenever I read a post saying [group of queer people] is The Most Oppressed bc I'm sitting there as if I'm not part of the only group in which systematic sterilization and mutilation at birth is a standard medical practice nearly worldwide. (Which is actually an improvement considering we used to just be murdered upon being born, and we still are in some places)

I'm not making this post to tell you that intersex people are The Most Oppressed.

I AM telling you that giving ANY group that label will minimize the issues of other horrifically targeted groups of people.

I think part of why people don't like to call PCOS and gynecomastica intersex is because it challenges the image of intersex people being super rare. We're more common than you think.

Ahh hmm... Well, it originated elsewhere, jormungandr was taken so I went up in 0000 numbers and that was the first number available that I was happy with.

Jormungandr itself is a definite nod to Jörmungandr (and is how my name is pronounced but iirc users don't allow other versions of letters). Stuck with me, its my user in like 25% of my places, probably.

For my name it was a nickname I was giving back in middleschool! One of our teacher had a system where we worked with 'wifi' eachtime we talked in class we lost a bar of the "wifi" (was a weird joke and we never held count on that) All the kids usually joked if they needed 'wifi' , they would borrow mine if they wanted to talk more. (I was incredibly shy in middle school, I only talked to like 3 people at school;^;)

They called me Ms. Wifi because of that. I just thought it would be funny if I put 'miss' instead of 'ms' because of my terrible actual wifi connection I have at home lol.

Ancient Roar is the Japanese version of Paradox Rift along with Future Flash or something?? Those two come together for Paradox Rift yeah. I'm a diehard salamence / roaring moon fan and the set happens to have some nice roaring moon cards. Yet to get any salamence cards though :(
