House of ashes "until dawn" au ideas.
The team got shipped off to a mountain holiday destination by CENTCOM to keep them out the way as they cleaned up what happened in Iraq. They say its to reward them for their discovery and to calm their minds. Then, they run into more monsters.
Probably doesn't follow the full plot of until dawn, but I can just imagine how pissed off they'd be at the idea of being sent to somewhere with more monsters.
"Come to America, you said. It'll be calming, you said."
"Salim, I swear to god..."
I'm basically turning the House of Ashes characters into a strike force for the supernatural, lol. Vampires, werewolves, and wendigos galore.

Doctors were able to identify these bodies as patients. They still had medical bandages and catheters attached to their bodies.
... this is not the first time mass graves have been discovered. People have been killed and buried under the dirt or run over by Israeli tanks or bulldozers for the past six months.

“The problem is not the amount of aid going into Gaza. The problem is that Hamas is hijacking that aid, robbing that aid, taking it for itself and then selling it back in the black market in Gaza at about tenfold the price, and many Gazans can’t afford it,” Bennett said on the public affairs program.
“We are not using this as a negotiations chip or anything of that sort. The problem is that Hamas is stopping that aid.”
IDF Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, during a press briefing on Saturday night, also pinned the blame on Hamas, saying that “by refusing to agree to the return of the hostages, Hamas is preventing a humanitarian ceasefire and is continuing to increase the suffering of the people of Gaza.”

Hagari also said that the IDF was coordinating with the United States the establishment of a temporary floating pier in Gaza to deliver aid supplies following Biden’s announcement on the matter in his State of the Union address.
“Following the directive of the minister of defense, and together with our partners in the United States and the United States Central Command, we are coordinating the establishment of a temporary floating pier, intended to bring humanitarian aid to Gaza following full Israeli inspection,” Hagari said.
“The mission is clear and in complete coordination between the IDF and the United States Central Command. We will distribute the equipment through international organizations to the population who need this. Alongside this, we will continue to fight and dismantle Hamas’s military capabilities.”
Meanwhile, CENTCOM announced early Sunday that U.S. Army’s General Frank S. Besson logistics support vessel departed Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia en route to the eastern Mediterranean to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza by sea.
The vessel is “carrying the first equipment to establish a temporary pier to deliver vital humanitarian supplies,” CENTCOM said.

[📹 A clip from Fox News covering the drone strike that killed three U.S. soldiers and wounded 25 others at a U.S. military outpost in northeastern Jordan near the border with Syria.]
🇯🇴⚔️🇺🇸 🚨
💥THREE U.S. SOLDIERS KILLED IN DRONE STRIKE ON U.S. MILITARY OUTPOST IN JORDAN💥
Three United States service members were killed Sunday in an overnight drone strike by local resistance factions targeting a United States Military outpost in Jordan, east of occupied Palestine.
According to a report by U.S. mainstream media organization CNN, three United States Army soldiers were killed and dozens more wounded when a Resistance drone targeted "Tower 22," a U.S. military outpost located in northern Jordan, near the border with Syria.
On Sunday, U.S. President Joe Biden issued a statement about the strike, stating that “last night, three US service members were killed – and many wounded – during an unmanned aerial drone attack on our forces stationed in northeast Jordan near the Syrian border."
“While we are still gathering the facts of this attack, we know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq,” the American President claimed.
United States Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the attack on Tower 22, saying on Sunday that three U.S. military personnel had been killed and another 25 wounded as result of a one-way drone strike that "impacted at a base in northeast Jordan."
In response to the strikes, the United States President swore on Sunday that U.S. authorities would "hold to account" those that launched the strikes, with an investigation now underway, while also claiming that, while the facts are still being gathered, "We know it was carried out by radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq.”
"These service members embodied the very best of our nation: Unwavering in their bravery. Unflinching in their duty. Unbending in their commitment to our country — risking their own safety for the safety of their fellow Americans, and our allies and partners with whom we stand in the fight against terrorism. … [H]ave no doubt – we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing," the American President added.
According to American mainstream media, as of this weekend, there had been a total of 158 strikes of varying types since October 7th, mostly targeting U.S. and Coation forces in the region. Though the latest drone strike marks the first time United States service members were killed in an attack by Resistance organizations.
No comments were issued by the United States military regarding why American air defenses failed to intercept the drone on its way to Tower 22, which U.S. authorities claim is part of an "advise-and-assist mission" in conjunction with Jordanian military forces.

The Biden administration’s dangerous move to deepen military ties with Israel
The Biden administration’s dangerous move to deepen military ties with Israel
If one thing has characterized the Biden administration’s policy toward Palestine and Israel, it has been the minimal departure from the policies of Donald Trump. Outside of partially restoring some of the paltry aid we give the Palestinians, precious little has changed materially, despite some threadbare rhetoric to the contrary. One of Trump’s last acts in office was to switch the regional…

💥U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND SHOOTS DOWN YEMENI DRONE AND MISSILE OVER THE RED SEA💥
United States Central Command (CENTCOM) is reporting the USS Mason shot down one drone and one anti-ship ballistic missile in the southern Red Sea that were fired by "the Houthis" between 5:45-6:10pm (Sana'a time) on Dec. 28th.
U.S. CENTCOM says there was no damage to any of the 18 ships in the area, nor were there any injuries as a result of the attempted strikes.
According to CENTCOM, this was the 22nd attempted attack by the Ansarallah movement-led Yemeni Armed Forces targeting "international shipping" since October 19th.
However, it should be noted that the Yemeni Armed Forces have not actually targeted international shipping. Rather, as they have repeatedly stated in their public statements, the Yemeni Armed Forces are only targeting Israeli ships and ships attempting to dock or leave the ports of occupied Palestine.
