Incredible.
American Muslims have raised over $100,000 this month to help migrant parents detained by the U.S. government post bail and reunite with their kids.
The “Muslims for Migrants” campaign has already helped secure the release of six parents ― five fathers and one mother ― according to CelebrateMercy, the faith-based organization managing the campaign.
“By reuniting these families, we wish to respond to hardship with hope, as our faith instructs us, and send a message of compassion through action,” the organization wrote on the campaign’s fundraising page.

A Jewish cemetery in Massachusetts that was vandalized with anti-Semitic graffiti last week received a $5,000 donation from a Muslim charity to help repair the damage.
That charity, CelebrateMercy, has over the past two years given $115,000 to vandalized Jewish cemeteries and memorials in Missouri, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts and Colorado, and facilitated the donation of around $238,000 to the Tree of Life*Or L’Simcha Congregation in Pittsburgh after the massacre there last year.
More than 60 gravestones at Hebrew Cemetery in Fall River, Massachusetts were defaced with messages like “Heil Hitler,” “Fuck Israel” and “Oy vey, this is MAGA Country.”
Cemetery groundskeeper Jeffrey Weissman told the Forward that he had received an outpouring of support from around the world. In particular, he recounted receiving an envelope in the mail from “Muslim Americans nationwide to our Jewish cousins of the Hebrew Cemetery of Fall River.” Inside the envelope: A check for $5,000.
“In the spirit of responding to evil with good (as taught by the Prophet Muhammad) that inspired the previous campaign, CelebrateMercy is proud to have supported this community in their time of distress,” the organization wrote on its Facebook page.
CelebrateMercy had been the subject of unfounded conspiracy theories because of the involvement of Linda Sarsour, the controversial Palestinian-American activist Linda Sarsour, in promoting their crowdfunding campaigns for distressed Jewish causes. Some right-wing activists alleged without evidence that CelebrateMercy and/or Sarsour had somehow pocketed the funds intended for the cemeteries or the survivors of the Pittsburgh attack.
After the distribution of the Pittsburgh funds, CelebrateMercy still had around $52,000 in reserve from its 2017 crowdfunding campaign for targeted Jewish cemeteries, because the Golden Hills Cemetery in Colorado, to which it had already given $45,000 for repairs, decided it did not need any more money. CelebrateMercy founding director Tarek El-Messidi told the Forward last year that he planned to distribute the remaining money through a “rapid-response fund” to be used after “any hate crimes or vandalism that take place at synagogues, or any kind of Jewish institution.”

A former Knoxville resident's Muslim nonprofit raised nearly $240,000 in days for Jewish victims of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. Angela Gosnell, Knoxville News Sentinel
A former Knoxville resident's Muslim nonprofit raised nearly $240,000 in days for Jewish victims of the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, an effort buoyed by celebrity interest and social media.
CelebrateMercy, founded by University of Tennessee graduate Tarek El-Messidi in 2013, is a nonprofit that teaches about the Prophet Muhammad. On Oct. 27 — within hours of a gunman killing 11 people at Pittsburgh's Tree of Life synagogue — CelebrateMercy launched its fundraising effort.
It aimed to provide financial help to victims’ families for funeral expenses, medical bills or other needs. “We wish to respond to evil with good, as our faith instructs us, and send a powerful message of compassion through action,” the Launch Good campaign information said.
Its message resounded. “Muslims Unite for Pittsburgh Synagogue” met its initial $25,000 goal in six hours. As more money came in, the campaign upped the goal four times. The last goal of $150,000 was reached in 50 hours.
...“It amazed me, and it really inspired me personally. I’ve seen people respond before, but this was on another level,” El-Messidi said.
The campaign’s ended; $150,000 has been given to the families. A total of 5,820 donors gave $238,634 — nine times the original $25,000 goal. The money left will go to impact long-term Jewish-Muslim relations and foster Muslim-Jewish collaboration, dialogue and solidarity...

The campaign, which is hosted by Muslim crowdfunding site LaunchGood, aims to help shooting victims, "whether it is the injured victims or the Jewish families who have lost loved ones".
It was started by Tark El-Messidi, a Muslim-American speaker and founder of CelebrateMercy, a nonprofit organisation that "teaches about the Prophet Muhammad's life and character".

There are members of a particular party that continue to disparage, ostracize and criticize people who are not like them. it’s despicable. Im not a partisan person — but I have two eyes and I see wassup. THIS is HUMANITY. This is love. This is faith. . . A Muslim American group has raised more than $125,000 through an online crowdfunding campaign to help families affected by Saturday's mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, which killed at least 11. R A B I - U L - A W W A L ربيع الاول Did you know it’s the first day of Rabi-ul-Awwal? Rabi-ul-Awwal is the 3rd month of the Islamic calendar AND it’s also the birth month of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Since it’s a special month, try and make it more memorable by adding more sunnahs into your daily life. Also, learn about the Prophet and send salawat on him. May it be a blessed month for all 💚 Many Islamic organizations (like @celebratemercy) have planned for lectures specifically in the life of the Prophet (PBUH) in this month so I recommend checking them out on YouTube!

The Blessed Tree A #tree I’ve been wanting to visit and Alhumdullilah recently had the opportunity to be in its company. 🌳 🙏🏼💚 The land where this #blessedtree is planted is in the middle of nowhere. It’s dry and there’s no other living plants or creations around it. When we arrived to #Jordan we were blessed with continuous rain for two days. Next to the blessed tree (in this photo) is water collected from the rain. A sight you normally wouldn’t see. This tree was blessed to be touched by #RasulAllah (salal lahu alayhi wa salim) as a young boy as he rested under its shade. It is known that the branches bent to give his mubarak body shade when travelling with their trading caravan and his uncle Abu Talib to Syria. It was during this trip that the monk Bahira recognised the signs of prophethood and warned his uncle to protect him and send him back to Mecca. "The Prophet sitting under this tree and its reacting to the Prophet makes the tree the only living terrestrial witness to the Prophet, what we would call in Arabic a sahabi.
