Wish

He’d never love someone as he loved her. He knew it. He knew as he held her broken, mangled body. Hair strewn about, clothes ripped and torn, both decorated by the crimson of her blood. The blood that now decorated him. On his hands, his face.

It was his mistake after all. He’d shown the world that she was his Achilles heel. He’d believed nothing could beat her; she was so powerful. He’d been wrong.

“Curses are ever evolving. Does it not scare you, even slightly, that one might best you one day?” She’d asked, slipping her shoes on.

“I cannot be beaten. Neither can you,” He’d replied, not paying the question much mind.

“What if I did lose?” She paused at the door, her hand on the handle.

“Then the human world has failed me. I will turn to rule the world of curses instead.” He answered easily. She turned and smiled before laughing.

“Only you could conquer the world of curses, Ryo. If I die, become their King yeah?” And she was gone.

He’d fulfill any wish of hers, big or small. And if her last wish was for him to become the King of Curses, who was he to deny her?

Incorrect, the fact that Biden has dropped out and a candidate with history of supporting medicare for all and being more receptive to a ceasefire in the I/P conflict has made me go from "I cannot morally support the Democratic nominee" to "I am voting for the Democratic nominee despite the fact she isn't perfect in every respect." I'm really happy this played out. The Dems for the most part abandoned the old Obama platform and it feels like its possible an actual progressive agenda could come to pass in my lifetime.

.... if Sevika dies, I want it to be her choice. if she dies, I want it to be for Jinx, Isha, and Zaun. I want it to be her protecting Jinx, because she can't lose both girls so close together. I want it to be for Jinx so she can lead Zaun. to be for Isha, so her sacrifice wasn't made in vain. I want it to be for herself, getting to finally be at peace, knowing that someone will be around to fight for and lead Zaun in a way she believes in so deeply, she was willing to die for it.

I don't want her to die in tragedy. I don't want her to die because she has to. I don't want her to die because it's expected of her. I want her death to be her own, much like Isha's was. because she's earned that but of autonomy. for her family. not for a boss. not as cannon fodder in a war. but because she believes in it. let her have that.

The idea that GolBetty is all seeing and inter dimensional and keeping Simon from becoming Ice King again is so *chefs kiss*

It hurts them both: Betty having to watch Simon trying to ruin himself again so he doesn’t have to deal with all the complex feeling of being without her. Simon having the guilt of preferring madness to his mundanity even though she sacrificed her complete humanity for him.

It’s a story of star crossed lovers trapped within Ouroboros and it’s beautifully eternal.
