The 3rd version and first EON Production version of Casino Royale was released on November 17, 2006. Daniel Craig took over the role of Bond becoming 6th EON James Bond. Casino Royale was the first Bond book Ian Fleming wrote. The movie serves as a Bond origin story. The movie stayed close to the main plot points of the book including the torture scene and the down ending. The movie set a world record for most barrel rolls assisted by a cannon. Today I learned that Raimundo's hometown ISN'T Rio de Janeiro at all. Apparently his hometown is Tubarão, as he mentions in the episode "The Last Temptation of Raimundo".

Transcript: "Volcano in Brazil. That's Tubarão, my hometown!"

It's also mentioned on Raimundo's wiki page as well:

Just so you know, Tubarão is a real city in Brazil that's located in Santa Catarina, a state in the country. For reference, this is how far Tubarão is from Rio de Janeiro:

Whether the show depicted Raimundo's town accurately or not, I can't say for certain because I've never been to Tubarão before (let alone the entirety of Brazil). The one thing that I do know is that the city is located next to a river. And the episode did show his hometown next to one so there's that.

I'll be completely honest as I say, Tom Kenny did NOT do a good job pronouncing that name at all. I genuinely thought Raimundo said "tuber Rio", like he's saying "my cool and awesome Rio!" *head in hands*

Incoming spoilers for seasons one and two

So Crunchyroll has a comments system, at least on mobile. There were so many comments complaining about Catarina, saying she's so dense and so dumb, and some were like, her being the heroine ruins the show.

And I just want to say....people like her exist! That's literally me! Not even joking, most of her reactions to her romantic prospects are the same exact ones I would make!

Like, some of us aren't good at societal cues. If you want me to know you're in love with me, you have to verbally say, "I'm in love with you, romantically."

Some of us have short term memory. Geordo, as much as I don't trust him, he had the right idea, reminding Caterina a lot about his feelings, giving her romantic gifts, verbally telling her he loved her, not as a friend. I had a lot of respect for that.

Caterina feels very aro-ace coded, which is not to say she's always aro, but sometimes being aro means some days you're aromantic, some days you're not, and sometimes you like a good romance novel, but in real life you can't comprehend how it works.

And an aro ace who was kissed once (looking at you Keith) and then the person who kissed them never brings it up again, never talks about it, goes completely back to normal in terms of interraction, someone with a short memory/attention span, who only knows romance from a literature perspective, who obviously doesn't understand romance from a real life perspective, is gonna assume that it was a) a joke b) a mistake/accident c) the person who kissed them regrets it d) all of the above, or something else.

There's also the level of trauma and stuff that Catarina has gone through, so she may just not have the state of mind to be like, "ah, the guy who engaged himself to me out of guilt, when I was eight, isn't cancelling the engagement because he genuinely loves me." No! Your main focus is survival!

Anyways, people being mean to a heroine who I found myself intimately relating to in a way I haven't before was kind of a bummer, and I felt like someone should stand up for her. Also, I learned I need someone like Geordo, who when I slip into the aro space will remind me how he feels/how I feel. So that was kind of nice 😁

I also highly recommend it, it was super cute, and the characters all had that "chaos reigns" vibe that the twst boys have. Might end up writing for it, cause I'm having a hard time finding fics for it.

In my opinion, the harem's chances of winning Catarina's heart now are given the development of future relationships for them, from the highest chance to the lowest chance.

Geordo, maybe currently Geordo's highest chance is around 60%, but if Geordo changes his love pursuit tactics then there could be around a 99% chance for him to win (almost absolutely).

Sophia, currently she has the smallest chance below the average of around 10%, but if she fully realizes who she was in her old life, and immediately tells Catarina, then there is a big possibility Catarina will get excited and increase her chances to around 98% (almost absolute).

Maria, currently her chances are probably around 50%, the second highest, but if Maria is more aggressive and proactive in trying to get Catarina's love, then her chances will certainly increase to around 95% (almost absolute too).

Sora, currently his chances are probably around 40%, but if he is more openly honest and aggressive with his actions to get her love, plus his knowledge about women, then most likely the chances will increase to around 90% for him.

Cezar, maybe currently his chances are around 10%, but if he is more openly honest and shows aggressiveness, proactivity, then his chances will increase to around 90% for him.

Raphael, their relationship seems good so far, maybe the odds are currently about 30% in his favor, but if he is more open and honest about his feelings, then a little aggressive, I don't think it will take long to develop, about 90% for him.

Nicole, currently the initial chance may be small at around 15%, but if she is open and honest about her feelings, then becomes aggressive and proactive then the chance increases to around 85% for her (although Catarina has quite a hard time accepting Nicole's feelings so she needs more time).

Keith, currently his chances are probably around 30%, Catarina still sees him as his brother, so if Keith is more open and more determined and tries to love him by being aggressive again and being a real, brave man, then his chances are around 85 % (still too small).

Alan, currently his chances are around 10%, I'm not sure his chances will increase, even though he is more open and honest about his feelings, because he can't be more aggressive or proactive so his chances are around 70%.

Mary, currently her chances are probably around 10%, the same as Alan, I'm not sure it will increase much, maybe if Mary is more aggressive and more open and honest in her confession then the chances will increase to around 65% for her (no hope ).

Sorry to answer so late I'm quite busy lately ^^;

I agree about Geordo but not about Sophia, I think that if Catarina discovers that she is the reincarnation of her best friend, they will indeed be closer but not to a romantic point. Monkey girl never saw Acchan in a romantic light and Catarina never did for Sophia even though she can see similarities between Sophia and Acchan. Moreover Catarina doesn't seem to see the girls as potential love interests.

Maria has indeed high chances but not in a romantic way, and Catarina has no problem supporting Maria's relationships with Cyrus and Dewey. She would even go as far as to scolding them if they don't do much effort. She seems to mainly see Maria as "the heroine of an otome game". It seems that she can't help but think of Maria this way and that lowers her chances.

I think Cezar's chances are a bit higher than that, I would say currently 40% and it could improve if he tries a little more.

I'm not really sure for Raphael but I woud say that now his chances are a bit higher, maybe 50% since he made real progress in LN14. And he even got the being-comforted-by-the-heroine scene in otome games.

I agree for Nicol, Alan and Mary but I think Keith's chances are a bit higher, maybe around 55% too but if he tries to act more "manly" they could improve greatly.

As Brazil copes with floods, officials face another scourge: Disinformation

Experts say online campaigns have targeted the floods in Rio Grande do Sul with fake news aimed at discrediting Lula.

The floodwaters in southern Brazil lapped near rooftops, turning roads into rivers and engulfing entire towns. More than 2.3 million people have felt the effects of the rising waters. A total of 161 people have been confirmed dead, with more bodies expected to be found.

Officials have called the torrential rains and flooding in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul “the worst climate disaster” the area has ever seen.

But they have said the tragedy is being amplified by another phenomenon: disinformation, intentionally designed to mislead.

Some articles, videos and posts claimed that the government of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva had blocked shipments of aid and medicine to the region. Others said Lula deliberately slowed the arrival of supplies so he could present them in person.

Still more asserted that government rescue workers were pulling out of southern Brazil, leaving residents to fend for themselves.

All three claims are false. But experts in media and political science told Al Jazeera that the disinformation has nonetheless continued to spread, often with real-world ramifications.

“I’m very concerned about it,” said Rogerio Christofoletti, a media professor who studies ethics and transparency at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, just north of Rio Grande do Sul.

“The volume of the fake news is very large, and it can foster a climate of mistrust.”
