Bruce glanced at his phone, silent as Jason waited impatiently for a response.

Jason: Bruce? I swear to God, if you hang up—

Bruce: I'm here, I'm here... Can you repeat the dilemma you’re in again?

Jason: Right. So, Austen, my cat, has been stealing random items from the neighbors that they’ve left outside and hoarding them like a squirrel. I’ve stopped letting him go out, but how do I deal with this? He’s taken a lot.

Bruce coughed, passing the phone to Tim before stepping away a few paces. He couldn't help but laugh from a distance, his mocking laughter echoing softly back to Jason.

Tim: Jason, he’ll need a minute. You could try leaving the items outside with a sign shaming Austen for being a cat thief. That should get a laugh from the neighbors rather than them being angry.

Jason let out a frustrated sigh.

Jason: Yeah... yeah... Damn it.

Austen meowed in the background, completely oblivious to the chaos he’d caused.

Jason (scolding the cute cat like they were a child): Don’t be cute! You’re a bad kitty! Bad kitty!

Tim (amused): Jason, it’s a cat. They don’t feel shame; trust me, I know.

Thank you to everyone who answered about the Bridget problem! I’m going to take her to the vet as soon as possible and I’ve ordered some enzymatic cleaner. Meanwhile I used a little baking soda just to dull the smell and I’ll put cardboard over the area overnight so she doesn’t keep using it. (She HATES cardboard!) Just to make sure I also cleaned out both of her litter boxes and put in a little baking soda under fresh litter.

I appreciate every single response. I’ve had cats over the years but never had this problem before. And I love her so much!

Okay so uh. My cat has fleas. I have never dealt with this before. The flea meds have not gotten rid. My brain is doing Fun things about it (read nightmares and skin crawling because I do *not* like this) and uh I don't know how to fix this because I can't throw away literally everything in my house. I'm also disabled so my ability to deep clean is severely limited. My partner has been doing the bulk of it but he also works full time at a bar and has insomnia difficulties. Basically, anyone have a step by step to deal with this issue? Bonus points if you're disabled and dealt with it bc that would be helpful

Austen the cat, Jason's pet, lay sprawled on the floor with his tummy exposed, craving dinner. His tummy rumbled, begging for the meal his owner had neglected to serve. Feeling like he was wasting away, he began to sing the song of his fellow felines.

Austen: MEEOOOOWWW! MEOW! MEOW! MEOW! MEOW—

Jason (pausing his knife cleaning, frustrated): For Christ's sake, Austen, it’s not time yet! I told you daylight savings pushed the clocks back!

Austen paused at this revelation, his tail swishing back and forth as he considered his next move. He couldn’t just lie there metaphorically, and he was clearly too hungry to sleep, so he reacted accordingly.

Austen (sniffling, then whining): MEOOOOOOWW! MEOOOOOW!

Jason: You ate six hours ago! You literally have to wait another hour! Stop whining!

Austen hissed in response, determined to stay put on the floor until he was feed.

Jason (resuming his weapon cleaning, apathetic): Yeah, you’ll change your tune when I finally feed you in an hour!

🐈‍⬛ Problem: My cat wants me to channel a specific spirit to cuddle him 🐈‍⬛

I just finished up recording a podcast with @mysterious-dark-shadow. During the podcast we were in a closed room our cats couldn't get into, and I channeled several entities.

Apparently one of the cats could hear my voice through the door and can recognize the different voices as different people, because he tried scratching on the door to get in while a specific person (Magus Ben) was up. He did this twice because Ben was channeled twice in the episode.

I think my cat expected Ben to be there when we wrapped the podcast and opened the door, because he came in, saw me, Felix, in my own body, and then kept looking around. I think he was looking for Ben. And Ben isn't coming back up tonight because we already agreed there'd be no more channeling tonight.

He's still moping around in that room waiting for Ben to come give him kitty cuddles. I've never experienced something so heartwarming yet so sad in my life.
