Intimidated and Censored
This amazing woman has been on the receiving end of many media attacks, and even got banned from treating people.
Before you start buying castor oil, it's of utmost importance to look for:
* organic (it never goes rancid)
* cold-pressed
* without hexane
* free of preservatives
* free of additives/ fragrances
* unrefined
AND try to find it in a dark glass bottle, if you can't find it in glass, then go for the plastic but make sure you pour it in a glass container, you don't want plastic leeching into it. 🤔

How did you get into natural cosmetics?
…what are natural cosmetics?
Very good question!
Thank you for your ask ☺️
I got first into it about 5 years ago I think. I got into the 'zero waste' stuff. Which basically means to try and live, making the least amount of waste (mostly plastic waste) as possible.
This got me started into using things like a bamboo toothbrushes, soap bars instead of plastic bottles of shower gel etc.
I guess the answer to what natural cosmetics are could depends on who you ask.😅
For me personally it means to use products that aren't artificially made with a bunch of synthetics and plastics.
One app that's pretty cool is the "Beat the Microbead" app. You can scan any cosmetic product to check if there are any ingredients that are basically plastic, which is both bad for the environment and your own health! Like very bad! It messes with your hormones and such, it's actually quite messed up
One example is the moisturizer I had been using for a long time.
'Olay Beauty Fluid' had the following microplastics in them.
So logically, I started trying different things like natural oils, like for example, jojoba oil, castor oil etc.
Since a few days ago I'm using a tallow moisturizer made with beef tallow, jojoba oil and beeswax.
So only natural ingredients. ☺️
I'M NOT AN EXPERT! always do your own research. What might work for me might not work for you. But it's sure interesting to learn about how much effect the wrong products can have.
I hope this makes things a bit more clear. Any (follow up) questions are welcome ☺️

Castor Oil: A Natural Treasure for Your Skin, Hair, and More
Introduction
Castor oil, often called "nature’s Botox," has been a trusted remedy for centuries. Extracted from the seeds of the Ricinus communis plant, this thick, golden oil is known for its hydrating, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties. But how can you use it effectively? This guide explores its benefits, usage tips, DIY recipes, and precautions to help you make the most of it.
If you are looking for high-quality organic castor oil, check out this option on Amazon.
1. Origins and Composition of Castor Oil
Castor oil is native to Africa and India and is extracted through cold pressing, a method that preserves its essential nutrients.
Key components of castor oil include:
Ricinoleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties
Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids that help strengthen the skin barrier and retain moisture
Vitamin E, an antioxidant that combats free radicals and slows signs of aging
It is best to use organic, cold-pressed, and hexane-free castor oil to avoid skin irritation.
2. Benefits of Castor Oil
For Skin
Provides deep hydration when mixed with a lighter oil like jojoba
Helps reduce acne and inflammation when applied directly to breakouts
Can improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks with daily massage
For Hair
Stimulates hair growth when massaged into the scalp, especially when combined with rosemary oil
Helps repair split ends by coating hair and leaving it wrapped in a warm towel before rinsing
For best results, use Organic Castor Oil for Hair Growth available here.
For Eyelashes and Eyebrows
Can promote thicker lashes and brows when applied nightly with a clean mascara wand
3. Castor Oil Compared to Other Oils
Castor oil provides deep hydration and has antibacterial properties but is thick and may clog pores if overused.
Coconut oil is lightweight and has a pleasant scent but can be comedogenic for oily skin.
Argan oil is rich in antioxidants but tends to be more expensive.
For easier application, castor oil can be blended with lighter oils such as grapeseed or almond oil.
4. DIY Castor Oil Recipes
Anti-aging face mask: Mix one tablespoon of castor oil with one tablespoon of honey and an egg yolk. Apply for 20 minutes before rinsing.
Detox body scrub: Mix two tablespoons of castor oil with three tablespoons of brown sugar and a few drops of lavender essential oil.
Hair growth serum: Combine two tablespoons of castor oil with one tablespoon of peppermint oil and apply it to the roots twice a week.
To get the best organic castor oil for your DIY recipes, check out this product.
5. Precautions and Common Mistakes
Always perform a patch test before use by applying a small amount to your wrist and waiting 24 hours.
Avoid getting castor oil in your eyes, as it may cause irritation.
Do not ingest cosmetic castor oil, as it is not the same as food-grade castor oil.
A common misconception is that castor oil instantly grows hair, but in reality, it strengthens hair follicles, leading to healthier and fuller growth over time.
6. Frequently Asked Questions
Is castor oil safe for oily skin?
Yes, but it should be diluted with tea tree oil or rosehip oil to balance oil production.
How long does it take to see results for wrinkles?
Consistent use for six to eight weeks can improve skin elasticity and reduce fine lines.
Conclusion
Castor oil is a versatile natural remedy for skincare and haircare. While it is not a miracle solution, regular and correct use can lead to noticeable improvements. Pair it with a balanced routine, try different DIY blends, and enjoy its many benefits over time.

For darker brows using castor oil every night helps a lot. I guess it also depends on your starting point but for reference I had a decent brow base (I have black hair btw) and using it helped the apperance of filled in brows. I'm using it on my lashes but idk if it's doing much, oils like castor oil are much better for your body than lash and brow serums so ill keep trying anyways.

❓Did you know that Castor Oil is a wonderful natural option for all kinds of cosmetic and wellness purposes? It's super rich in fatty acids so I like to use it as a deep moisturizer for my hair, face, skin, lashes and brows. It also works wonders as a hydrating body oil and as a castor oil pack.
💗 This Organic Cold-Pressed Castor Oil from
heritagestorenaturals is the best I've tried! I love that it comes in a glass bottle. It hydrates and nourishes my dry skin and hair and it's easy to use too. For my hair I simply massage it in from roots to tips and let sit for 20 minutes or overnight. When used as a castor oil pack I typically use cotton or wool soaked in this castor oil and apply the fabric to my skin with or without a heating pad. It's a wonderful product to have on hand at all times!
💗 I also got to try the giftset of heritage store naturals Rosewater Refreshing Facial Mist and their Aura Glow Cleanser Brightening Gel Wash! They both work wonders as part of my new clean skincare routine.
💗 You can find Heritage Store
products on their website, at select retailers like Walmart, Ulta, WholeFoods and Sprouts, and on iHerb and Amazon -https://amzn.to/3Y1X22e

The most poisonous plant in the world according to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Castor oil plant is also known as the "palm of Christ", or Palma Christi, which stems from the plant oil's ability to heal wounds. However, it also has the power to kill, as just one milligram of the plant's poison can kill an adult, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
For centuries, the Chinese have used castor oil as a medicine and when bandaging injuries. The plant is also used to produce biodiesel fuel in Brazil, where it is called mamona oil. Castor oil can also be found in chocolate when it is used as a cocoa butter substitute, as well as in soap, laxatives, ink and plastics .
The flowering plant's seeds, however, contain ricin, an extremely poisonous toxin. Ricin is also present in lower concentrations in the plant's glossy leaves, which are most often dark green or burgundy. The castor oil plant's flowers resemble spiky, hot pink pom-poms and are especially dangerous to small children.
