First pic: Dax Mallory (left), his husband Reinhold Wagner, and his son from a first marriage, Scott. Dax is Agena's younger cousin. Though gay, he was married to a woman for a few years, after his parents forced his hand into a "respectable" and "profitable" union. Reinhold, also was married to a woman who used to be his best friend. Though he did love her, he couldn't forget about his high school sweetheart, Dax, and when the two men met after years, well...
Second pic: Our girl Castula with her aunt (kinda, she's the daughter of Agena's adopted parent, Seamus), Denebola (but everyone call her Dene or Bobo).
Third pic: Reggie and Paul-Louis.
Fourth pic: Hector and Carol Patton, and Reginald Black. Carol is Agena's mother. After leaving her then-boyfriend, Alfred (Agena's dead father) and her newborn daughter, she met Hector. She ended up marrying him and had another daughter with him, Tabitha. Reginald is Agena's cousin, and Seamus's younger brother. Somewhat instable, he tends to often disappear.
Fifth pic: Tabitha (Agena's half-sister) and her girlfriend, Marie Dubois. Marie is the younger sister of Cédric, Agena's first (dead) husband, and Alfie's father.
Sixth pic: Reginald Black, Seamus Black and their husband Karl Wagner. Karl is Reinhold's older brother. He used to be an adventurer but settle down when he met Seamus. Seamus, Agena's cousin, adopted her when she was two after her father's death. She was meant to be sent to her aunt, Wendolyn (Seamus and Reginald's mother, and Alfred's sister), but Seamus intervened before her abusive mother could get Agena, as they knew what her life would be if Wendolyn "raised" the girl. It was also Wendolyn - though it was never proven - that caused Alfred's death, or rather paid someone to kill him.
Seventh pic: Amaury and Hortense Dubois. Agena's ex-in-law. They are Cédric and Marie parents, and Alfie's grandparents. Though they were opposed to Agena and Cédric's relationship at first, they came to like their ex-daughter-in-law when, just after their son's death, she discovered her pregnancy, meaning a bit of their son was still alive.

Are there any non-fiction you can recommend for people who are fascinated by your blog (especially the elements of dark eroticism, morbidity and horror)?
 love that you are loving!
i will try to stick to non-fic (also refraining as best i can from re-recommending texts from previous asks but there is of course bound to be some overlap): - The Severed Head: Capital Visions, Julia Kristeva -> read about Aubrey Beardsley's illustrations for Salomé (x, x)
and supplement w Baudelaire's Une Martyre "in which the narrator lovingly contemplates the beauty of a woman's severed head at rest upon a nightstand"
- Masochism: Coldness and Cruelty & Venus in Furs, Deleuze - The Sadeian Woman: And the Ideology of Pornography, Angela Carter - Aesthetic Sexuality: A Literary History of Sadomasochism, Romana Byrne - Perverse Desire and the Ambiguous Icon, Allen S. Weiss - "Must We Burn Sade?", Simone de Beauvoir -> read also about Erzsébet Báthory, the Bloody Countess. supplement your readings with Borowcyzk's Immoral Tales (1973), Julie Delpy's The Countess (2009), Alejandra Pizarnik's La Condesa Sangrienta and/or, if you have the stomach for it:
Lorna's death in Hostel Pt II (2007), inspired by the Countess^
- Anaïs Nin's diaries + Henry and June - Abject Eroticism in Northern Renaissance Art, Yvonne Owens
Hans Baldung Grien "gave powerful visual expression to late medieval tropes and stereotypes, such as the poison maiden, venomous virgin, the Fall of Man, 'death and the maiden' and other motifs and eschatological themes, which mingled abject and erotic qualities in the female body"
- Satanic Feminism: Lucifer as the Liberator of Woman in Nineteenth-Century Culture, Per Faxneld - The Library of Esoterica's Witchcraft - the biographical Taschen on H.R. Giger's oeuvre—biomechanical, Lovecraftian-tentacular fused limbs, bodies, systems, overtly phallic/yonic symbology, darkly psychedelic... very much fantastically erotic; I have my eye on the 40th Anniversary Edition
Giger, as we know, having designed the xenomorph from the Alien (1979) series to have an intensely sexual evolution:
- DEFINITELY read about+explore ero guro (see also: Bataille's L'histoire de l'œil / Story of the Eye! though it is fiction)
brief introductory articles here and here but it's truly so rich and decadent... delve into it!! film, lit, manga, history, so on... -> watch Nagisa Ōshima's In The Realm Of The Senses (1976) too
- if you can read French by any chance, Le Corps Souillé (The Soiled Body) by Eric Falardeau looks incredible; if not, this excerpt alone is delightfully provocative even in isolation - similarly, L'espirit de plaisir: Une histoire de la sexualité et de l’érotisme au Japon (The Spirit of Pleasure: A History of Sexuality and Eroticism in Japan) by Philippe Pons and Pierre-François Souyri is something I'm hoping might see an English translation
^an excerpt from an interview with the authors
- The Art of Cruelty + The Red Parts, Maggie Nelson - Crucial Interventions: An Illustrated Treatise on the Principles & Practice of Nineteenth-Century Surgery, Richard Barnett - The Butchering Art, Lindsey Fitzharris - Death, Disease and Dissection, Suzie Grogan - The Theatre and Its Double, Antonin Artaud - Men, Women, and Chainsaws, Carol J. Clover - House of Psychotic Women, Kier-La Janisse - The Monstrous-Feminine, Barbara Creed - Dead Blondes and Bad Mothers, Sady Doyle - The Lady From The Black Lagoon, Mallory O'Meara

I know that I am a few hours early, but I really wanted to get this out there since I may not have the chance to do so tomorrow. In remembrance of the late, great Robert Archibald Shaw, whose magnetic personality, mesmerizing screen presence, and dynamic energy entertained us for so many years on the silver screen. One can only imagine what would have been, and how he would have continued to thrill us, and what movies would have been better for his participation, if he wasn't taken from us way too soon. You are still sorely missed, 46 years after your passing, Mr. Shaw!
Top to bottom: A young Robert Shaw; candid Shaw circa 1977; as Quint from JAWS (1975); as Mr. Blue aka Bernard Ryder in The Taking of Pelham 1-2-3 (1973); as General George Armstrong Custer in Custer of the West (1967); as Romer Treece in The Deep (1977); as Doyle Lonegan in The Sting (1973); as Major David Kabakov in Black Sunday (1977), as Captain "Red" Ned Lynch in Swashbuckler (1976); as Major Keith Mallory in Force 10 From Navarrone (1978)
Below: The scene and monologue from JAWS that placed Robert Shaw on the Silver Screen map, in a huge way, back in 1975!!!!! Cemented his super-stardom without question....
youtube
Robert Shaw's memorial stone in Tourmakeady, County Mayo, Ireland, where he resided with his wife and 10 children.
Here's something that very few are aware of..... Carol for Another Christmas is a 1964 ABC American TV movie, written by Rod Serling as a modernization of Charles Dickens' 1843 novella A Christmas Carol. Robert Shaw portrays a very vociferous Ghost of Christmas Yet-To-Come, and gives an amazing monologue with Sterling Hayden that, is riveting, and almost on par as his famous USS Indianapolis monologue from JAWS. If you have not yet seen this minor classic, TCM usually has it available for streaming year round.

Group A, Round 2, Poll 1:
Propaganda under the cut
Emma Frost
Telepath, which is *the* gaslight-gatekeep-girlboss superpower, especially when you’re a supervillain! Emma’s rich, grew up rich, left her shitty abusive homophobic dad, and then proceeded to lie steal manipulate and leave brain dead everyone in her way to become a millionaire and one of the heads of the rich people kink club that secretly runs the world. Yes this is 100% canon since 1980 thank Chris Claremont. She’s a Bitch (affectionate, self identified). She mindwipes people all the dang time. She once blew up a horse to convince a teenager to murder her coworker. She is girlbossing so close to the sun (Dark Phoenix) she ends up comatose and nearly dead like multiple times and then just gets up and keeps Girlbossing! Her secondary power is to turn into literal diamond, which she learns after she’s like the only survivor of a six-million person genocide, and then uses entirely to fuck people up. I’d say she’s definitely girlboss 1st, there are no limits to the things she can’t girlboss, and her real superpower is being rich and ruthless, gaslight 2nd, because she is a telepath who constantly manipulated people for fun, and then gatekeeper 3rd, because, well, she is trying to build a community for all mutants, so her hate keeping is very much telling humans to fuck off (when not manipulating them for money) but justified gatekeeping is still gatekeeping. Kick Tony Stark and Carol Danvers off your property when they try and moralize at you Queen.
She’s a mutant telepath who started off as a super villain and now uses that bitchiness and moral grayness to serve her ethnostate…for the children
She's da blue print babeey
Lady Ethel Mallory
Lady Ethel is the marketing specialist for an evil corporation that's trying to put everyone in these dreaming boxes, all of her broadcasts are about how the boxes are great and the company is great and it's a whole nice family in there but it's just fake dreams and she also met with the guy that put people's ghosts (including his son) into a bunch of instruments to make an army and she wanted his methods of doing that, great lengths are taken to keep everyone in the dreaming boxes, all of her broadcasts are hijacking the actual narrators broadcast, and she's really tall/has sharp teeth/big heart shaped sunglasses/and has giant flies for pets and surveillance. seems pretty gaslight/gatekeep/girlboss to me
Important Lady Ethel facts you need to know: -She's 9ft tall ...nope, that's it, that's all you need to know.
she's the marketing executive of a company that gaslights millions of people a day. She is IN CHARGE OF THE GASLIGHTING DEPARTMENT. She is also in charge of writing the gatekeeping guidlines. There is no character on this planet more gaslight gatekeep girlboss than her

The Story of Aileen Wuornos
Aileen Carol Wuornos was born February 29, 1956 in Rochester, Michigan. After her mother Diane Wuornos abandoned Aileen and her older brother, Keith, Diane's parents legally adopted the two children. Aileen never knew who her biological father who was imprisoned for child rape and died by suicide while in custody. She developed an explosive temper and found it difficult to make friends after a fire scarred her face when she was younger.
She later found out that her "parents" were indeed her biological grandparents. Childhood friends said that Wuornos' grandfather beat her and sexually abused her and her brother and that her grandmother was an alcoholic. Around age 11, she began trading sexual favors for money, beer and cigarettes resulting in the derogatory nickname "cigarette pig" which further isolated her from her peers.
She ran away from home and was eventually sent to a juvenile detention. At 14. Larui sent a pregnant Aileen to Detroit home for unwanted mothers. She told the family the pregnancy was a result of rape but later offered different explanations. Many people believed that the father was an older adult friend of Wuornos' grandfather. The infant baby was born March 1971, later given up for adoption. After giving birth, she dropped out of school and bounced between juvenile detention, the Wuornos house and sleeping in the woods or abandoned cars, she was 14 when her family kicked her out the house.
By the early 1980s, after her brother's death from cancer, she moved to Florida to work as a prostitute. She was frequently in trouble with the law for being a prostitute and other crimes. By 1991 her record included(including other felonies and misdemeanors) arrest for illegal possession of a firearm, forgery, assault, and robbery. Associates and law enforcement personnel often described her as erratic and easily angered, Her arrests records noted, "Attitude POOR."
In 1986, Wuornos met Tyria Moore at a bar in Daytona Beach, Florida and they began an intense romantic relationship that ended before Wuornos' final arrest in 1991. As a prostitute, most of her clients were old middle aged men. They started to sell stolen items at Florida pawnshops. During the murder investigations, the Volusia County police discovered items belonging to Richard Mallory at a local pawnshop, with her thumbprint on the receipt.
Policed then traced other stolen items from Mallory to Wuornos. A camera from Mallory's automobile was found inside a rented warehouse unit, which was opened with a key taken from Wuornos. She had rented the unit under an alias. Police traced other items from Mallory's car to people or pawnshops Wuornos had contacted.
By 1990 Tyria Moore had become suspicious – if not fully aware – of Wuornos’ activities. Moore moved in with her family in Pennsylvania. When Wuornos was arrested on an outstanding warrant at a biker bar in Harbor Oaks, Florida, police tracked Moore down and used her to elicit a confession from Wuornos.
After Aileen Wuornos was found guilty of the murder of Richard Mallory, a penalty trial was held before the same jury to determine whether she would be sentenced to death or life in prison. The State’s expert psychologist, Dr. Bernard, testified that Aileen Wuornos suffered from both borderline personality disorder as well as antisocial personality disorder. The jury decided that despite her psychological difficulties, Wuornos knew the difference between right and wrong. he judge followed the jury’s recommendation of death and sentenced Wuornos to the electric chair on January 31, 1992.
In June 1992, defeated by the loss of her once trusted friend Pralle, Wuornos pleaded guilty to the murder of Charles Carskaddon and received her fifth death sentence. In February 1993 she pleaded guilty to the murder of Walter Antonio and was again sentenced to death. During her plea to the court, she held to her statement that Mallory had raped her. In a rambling statement she said, “I wanted to confess to you that Richard Mallory did violently rape me as I’ve told you. But these others did not. [They] only began to start to.” On May 15, 1993 Judge Thomas Sawaya rendered three more death sentences. She turned to Assistant State Attorney Ric Ridgeway and hissed, “I hope your wife and children get raped in the *ss!” She made an obscene gesture and muttered, “Motherf****r!” The clip below, from the documentary "Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer," shows Wuornos' reaction to receiving death sentences for the murders of Burress, Humphreys, and Spears.
youtube
No charges were brought against her for the murder of Peter Siems, as his body was never found. In all, she received six death sentences.
During the extensive post-conviction period, from 1994 until 2002, Wuornos argued her original trial counsel provided ineffective representation. One example of poor representation revealed in subsequent appeals was trial counsel’s failure to uncover Richard Mallory’s prior rape conviction, which could have corroborated Wuornos’ argument of self-defense. In addition, trial counsel failed to call lay mitigation witnesses during the penalty trial who could have testified to the defendant’s claims of abuse during her childhood and adolescence, even though several childhood friends and neighbors said they would have testified if they had been called. In later hearings several of these potential witnesses testified they were contacted by the media following Wuornos’ arrest, but never by the Public Defender’s office. The defendant also argued she had not been effectively evaluated regarding her competency to stand trial.
Throughout the post-conviction period Wuornos’ erratic behavior continued to worsen. She fired several attorneys and in 2001 dropped her appeals. Some of these attorneys contacted the Florida Supreme Court to express their concerns that Wuornos was not competent to be executed. Wuornos also wrote several extensive and rambling motions to the courts in which she claimed prison staff were abusing her. All of Wuornos’ claims were evaluated and rejected by the state and federal appellate courts.
On October 9, 2002, Aileen Wuornos was executed by lethal injection at Florida State Prison. In her last statement, Wuornos said, "I'd just like to say I'm sailing with the rock, and I'll be back like Independence Day, with Jesus June 6. Like the movie, big mother ship and all, I'll be back." She was pronounced dead at 9:47 a.m. Aileen Wuornos was the tenth woman to be executed in the United States since 1976 and the second woman ever executed in Florida.
The case of Aileen Wuornos highlights issues that are prevalent in many other capital cases. The following links will take you to a portion of the Capital Punishment in Context Web site designed to provide substantive information on each of these important issues and how they relate to this particular case.

Ever since I could remember, Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. I still remember the first Christmas i had with mama and daddy at Graceland like it was yesterday. I got the Santa and slight yard decoration. We got the best decorations we could find on this side of the Mississippi. It was truly a wonderful Christmas. When mama died, I questioned how Christmas was gonna be without her presence in Graceland and in my life.
And then a little (Y/HC), (Y/EC) girl named Y/N decided to walk into my life and flip it upside down. I had known Y/N forever, but it was after I returned from Germany that I really noticed her. One thing I loved about her right away was her love for all things Christmas. I remember her first Christmas season at Graceland. The year was 1964. When I drove her up to Graceland, she was in awe of all the decorations that adored the yard. As she as she saw the blue lights that lined the driveway, she asked me if planes had ever confused my driveway for the airport. Daddy had always teased me about it, but coming from Y/N made me laugh because of the innocence in her voice. That Christmas Eve, we curled up close to fireplace in the living room after everyone had left. I never wanted that moment to end. I got to know everything about that sweet girl. I knew right then and there I had to make this girl my wife.
Then in 1966, we spent our first Christmas as husband and wife. She went all out that year eight with the decorations, including getting a white nylon tree which had a rotating base that played Christmas carols. Y/N’s child like wonder when it came to Christmas made my heart melt and reminded me why I married her. The whole house looked like a Christmas card. Once again at the end of the night, we found ourselves wrapped up next to the fireplace like our first Christmas together. During that time, the topic of babies came up. We always knew that we wanted to have kids, but it just hadn’t happened yet for whatever reason. Y/N began to tear up and told me that she was scared it wasn’t gonna ever happen because she thought she wasn’t good enough. I told her that was bull shit and I promised her that I would do anything possible for us to have a child.
Almost exactly a year later, I found myself in the hospital watching my beautiful wife bring our first baby into the world during the wee hours of Christmas Eve morning. I remember feeling so bad that I couldn’t take away my baby doll’s pain whenever the next contraction would hit and tears ran down her face; however, it was all worth in the end. Little Mallory Love had our hearts from the moment she let out that very first cry. That beautiful, precious little girl was sent from heaven by my mama and her birth date confirmed it all for me. Mallory had me wrapped around her little finger when she looked up at me with her baby blue eyes for the very first time. I knew in that moment that every Christmas from here on out was gonna be magical for the Presley family.
Now here we are in 1977. Our family has grown over the years. We now have four kids, with each one of them having their own distinct personalities and looks. This Christmas is significant for many reasons. It’s the last time we’ll have a baby’s first Christmas with baby Kennedy being our last child. Y/N is taking it harder than I thought she would, so I told her to decorate Graceland until her little heart gave out. What didn’t expect was a Christmas tree in my living room the day after Halloween. I almost told her it was too damn early, but she looked at me her those big doe eyes of hers, I couldn’t say it. This girl has had my heart since day one and sometimes I think she uses it to her advantage. By the time thanksgiving came around, the whole house looked like Christmas.
Now it’s the wee hours of Christmas Day and I’m wide awake. The insomnia is really kicking my ass tonight. I turn over to see Y/N sleeping soundly. She looks so beautiful even with her hair all messed up from the pillows. I start to hear whimpering from the nursery so I know that means Kennedy is need of something. I get out of bed and make the walk down to the nursery. Her whimpers start to get louder and turn into cries. I get into the nursery and quick pick up Kennedy and get myself comfy in the rocking chair. I can’t help but to look at this sweet baby girl’s face as I begin to rock and comfort her. Her cries dampen into whimpers and before long she’s out like a light. I hold Kennedy for a little while longer just to make sure she’s asleep.
After I kiss her head and put her back into the crib, I go back to bed to find Y/N still sleeping like an angel. I pull her into my arms. I can’t believe God blessed me with a wife like her and four of the best children that any man could ask for. I can’t wait for everyone to wake up on Christmas morning to see what ole’ Saint Nick brought for them. Hopefully Santa will see the bright blue lights that still line the drive way so he knows where to land the giant sleigh.
