Chapter 8 Chapter 10
@darkangel4121@teenagellamaangel@madzzz0797@callsignferal(To the other’s who want me to tag you when there’s an update, just tell me at the comments) A/N: Hello, everyone! So, it seems the Captain has you right where he wants you. No matter how much you try to slip away, there’s no escaping him—he’s determined, and he will have you. 😉 This chapter might feel a little longer as I’ve focused on building up the chase and the tension between you two. But I promise, it’s worth it! If you’re feeling impatient, feel free to scroll ahead to when the Captain finally ‘captures’ you. 😏 LOL! Enjoy the ride, and let me know what you think! ❤️
The door creaked open, and in stepped the doctor, holding a clipboard with the results of Y/N's x-rays and scans. He gave her a once-over, then glanced at the paper before meeting her eyes.
"Alright, Ms. Y/N, good news. No concussion, your neck’s just a little twisted from the impact. Your arm, though—well, that’s definitely going to need some time to heal, but we can work with it." He made a note, looking at her bandaged face. "The cuts on your face will need some care, but nothing too serious. Just take some painkillers when you eat, and you should be good to go."
Y/N sighed in relief but winced at the sting of her injuries. She was just about to ask if she could leave without the next part when the doctor added, “Now, we need someone to sign for you to be discharged and for the medication prescription. I’m assuming your partner—” He paused, glancing at Price, who was still leaning against the bed, looking annoyingly perfect—“can handle that?”
Before Y/N could protest, Price was already nodding, a smirk playing on his lips. "Aye, I can do that," he replied smoothly, as though he’d been expecting it.
The doctor, clearly oblivious to the irritation bubbling up inside her, glanced between them with a raised eyebrow, then nodded and scribbled something down on his clipboard. “Great. I’ll get the paperwork ready. Just make sure she follows the painkiller instructions.”
Y/N glared at Price, her good arm crossed over her chest. “I swear, if you start acting like we’re actually a couple—”
Price shot her a quick, playful wink. “You’re gonna have to get used to it, love!”
The doctor left, and Y/N turned to look at Price, narrowing her eyes. “You’re unbearable,” she muttered.
Price leaned in closer, his voice lowering to something almost flirtatious. “You know you like it.”
Y/N groaned and rolled her eyes, but it was impossible to ignore the spark of something—embarrassment, frustration, and maybe, just maybe, a little bit of... affection?
As the minutes dragged on, Y/N lay there, staring at the sterile ceiling, her mind racing but her body unable to do anything more than ache in protest. Price sat beside her, arms crossed, exuding a mix of concern and frustration, and it was clear to her that the tension between them was building. The hum of hospital activity around them did nothing to break the silence, only adding to the weight in the air. She could feel his eyes on her, practically searing through her skin, and she didn’t know if it was his gaze or the pain in her arm that was making her more uncomfortable.
Finally, Price broke the silence with an exasperated sigh. “You’ve got some bloody nerve, you know that? Running around like a madwoman, getting yourself hurt like that.”
Y/N turned her head towards him, raising an eyebrow, a flicker of amusement breaking through the discomfort. “Excuse me?”
He leaned forward, his voice low but filled with that trademark commanding tone she couldn’t escape. “The moment I found out... and then seeing all those bloody gifs from your colleagues flooding the chat... I knew I had to come see for myself. Make sure you weren’t in a body bag. All for what? A USB?”
She rolled her eyes, trying to ignore the guilt trying to creep in. “I wasn’t the one in the body bag, now was I?”
“No, but you nearly bloody were!” He shot back, his voice sharp with frustration. “You fought someone twice your size, for god’s sake. What the hell were you thinking? And that slap to your face—” He gestured toward the ugly bruise on her cheek. “That wasn’t exactly part of the plan, was it?”
Y/N winced at the reminder but quickly covered it with a snarky smirk. “Oh, I’m sorry, should I have asked them to go easier on me? I had to do what I had to do, Price. That USB had information that would’ve blown the whole operation to pieces. If I didn’t keep it safe, we’d be looking at a lot more than a bruise on my face.”
Her tone shifted, just a touch of defiance in her voice. “I did what I had to do. And they fought the wrong bitch. Unfortunately for them, though, I’m too bloody good at what I do.”
Price scowled, his brows furrowing as he leaned in closer. “Don’t make it sound like it’s just another day at the office, Y/N. You’re not invincible. You can’t just take a hit and keep moving.” His voice softened slightly, but the intensity in his gaze remained. “I don’t want to see you hurt.”
Her eyes softened, a small, almost imperceptible smile pulling at her lips, but she wasn’t about to let him have the last word just yet. “What do you care? I’m an operator. It’s my job. It’s not like—”
She stopped, realizing she had said too much. But before she could backpedal, Price cut her off, his voice suddenly more serious.
“I care because, damn it, I don’t want to see you thrown around like that. You’re not just some bloody operator to me.”
The way he said it, with so much sincerity, made her heart stutter in her chest. His usual teasing edge was gone, replaced by something raw, something real. She didn’t know how to respond, how to fight back against the warmth creeping up her neck.
“John…” she whispered, her voice wavering slightly. She wanted to say something sarcastic, to brush off the strange flutter in her chest, but his steady gaze had her frozen. It was almost as if, for the first time, he was letting her see the concern behind the bravado.
“You’ve got me wrapped around your finger, haven’t you?” he said softly, almost to himself.
Y/N was silent for a moment, her pulse racing. She didn’t know what to say, how to make light of it, how to respond without revealing too much. Finally, she simply said, "You should probably stop before you start singing ‘I Can’t Help Falling in Love’."
Price’s lips curved into a faint, knowing smile. But then his expression shifted—his gaze darkened, those piercing blue eyes locking onto hers with such intensity that her breath hitched. It was the look. The one that said more than words ever could.
Y/N felt her stomach flip, her heart racing faster than she could process. She tried to look away, but his stare held her captive, his blue eyes pulling her in like a magnet. The room seemed to shrink, the noise of the hospital fading into nothing as she became acutely aware of every inch of him sitting so close. She felt her face heat up, warmth spreading across her cheeks as she struggled to catch her breath.
“Price…” she whispered, her voice barely audible. She had to look away, had to break the spell he’d cast over her. But her body wouldn’t cooperate. Her eyes fluttered, and for the first time, she couldn’t find the right words to shield herself from the effect he had on her.
He leaned in just a little, his gaze never leaving hers. “What’s wrong, love?” he asked, his voice low, the teasing edge gone, replaced by something softer. Something that made her heart feel like it might burst out of her chest.
Y/N had never wanted to look away more in her life, but she couldn't. She swallowed hard, her mind spinning in a haze, cursing the fact that her face was no doubt as red as a tomato.
"Never mind," she muttered, the words tumbling out before she could stop them. She quickly turned her head, avoiding his intense gaze, though she could still feel the weight of it on her skin.
Her eyes darted to the side, desperate to find something—anything—to focus on other than him. But she swore she caught the smallest, most self-assured grin tugging at the corner of Price’s lips. It was as though he knew exactly what he was doing to her, and it made her feel utterly exposed.
She shifted uncomfortably, acutely aware of how her pulse quickened every time she thought about his gaze. She didn’t know how to escape it, and for the first time, Y/N realized there was no hiding from the effect John Price had on her.
----------
Price insisted on driving her home, a suggestion that, under normal circumstances, Y/N might have entertained. But these weren’t normal circumstances. She was still too suspicious, too guarded to let him know where she lived. The last thing she needed was him showing up unannounced, and she wasn’t about to let him in on that little detail.
“I’m fine, Price,” she said quickly, sitting up a little straighter. “I’ll head to the unit’s base. My stuff’s there, and I’ve got work tomorrow. I’ll be better off just sleeping there for the night. You know, book in at camp, like we sometimes do.”
Price’s eyes narrowed, his gaze sharpening in that way she knew all too well. “Book in? You sure about that? Something smells off.”
Y/N waved him off with a feigned nonchalance, trying her best to sound convincing. “I’m fine, seriously. No need to worry about me.”
He raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. “You’ve got that ‘I’m trying to get away from you’ look on your face. What’s really going on?”
She met his eyes, her resolve firm. “Nothing’s going on. Just, you know, work stuff. Base. I'll go home tomorrow.”
Price just stared at her for a moment longer, then sighed, clearly giving in to whatever bizarre reasoning she had going on. “Fine. If you’re so determined, I’ll take you back to the base. But this isn’t over.”
“Great, thanks,” she muttered, trying to suppress a grin. She had won this round.
----------
Once they arrived at the unit’s base, Y/N made a swift exit, eager to put some space between herself and Price. She stepped out of the lift, onto her floor, and walked briskly down the hallway toward the unit’s office. Before she could make it inside, however, a loud chorus of voices stopped her in her tracks.
Her colleagues had clearly been waiting for her, and as she stepped into the room, they erupted into loud cheers and applause.
“Look who’s back! The turtle’s shell is tougher than we thought!” one of them called out with a wide grin, prompting an exaggerated cheer from the others.
Y/N felt her cheeks flush, but she couldn’t help but laugh. “Stop it, you lot. I didn’t ask for a bloody welcome back party.”
Another colleague, waving a mock trophy above his head, added, “Give it up for Y/N, the toughest of them all! No one’s messing with the turtle!”
Her teammates were practically in hysterics, and the teasing continued for several minutes before it finally died down. Y/N rolled her eyes, trying to keep her composure, but deep down, she couldn't help but feel a warm, fuzzy feeling in her chest. It was moments like this—surrounded by her quirky, loyal team—that made all the madness of the job worth it.
“Alright, alright,” she said with a raised hand in mock surrender, her grin impossible to hide.
As her colleagues finally began to disperse, she let out a deep breath, still chuckling at their ridiculous antics. But despite the laughter, her mind wandered back to her earlier encounter with Price—and how, for a brief moment, she almost didn’t mind the idea of him getting a little too close.
----------
Later that evening, Captain Price discovered the truth. Y/N wasn’t staying the night at the base as she had claimed. He saw her—half waddling, half hopping—onto the unit’s bus just as it was about to depart. It was meant to take staff to the nearby train station, a clear sign that she was heading home despite her earlier insistence.
The sight of her settling into a window seat on the crowded bus made him pause. Y/N, caught off guard, locked eyes with him through the glass. Her face froze in surprise for a split second before she quickly turned her head, pretending she hadn’t seen him. Her fingers fidgeted with the strap of her bag as she tried to appear indifferent.
Price stood there outside, arms crossed, his gaze sharp and unrelenting. He didn’t have to say a word; the weight of his stare said enough. Y/N could feel it pressing on her even as she resolutely avoided looking back.
Her only saving grace was that tomorrow was the weekend. She wouldn’t have to face him—or his inevitable questions—for at least two days. ----------
Y/N stretched lazily on her sofa, her stomach pleasantly full from her third takeout meal of the weekend. A collection of cartons cluttered her coffee table, evidence of her commitment to staying in. Wrapped in her coziest blanket, she scrolled idly through the endless void of streaming options, her mind blissfully blank—except for the persistent notifications on her phone.
Captain Price.
The messages had started Friday evening, a steady stream of charm, wit, and mild exasperation, each one left on read. Ignoring him had been easy at first, the kind of defiance that felt both amusing and oddly satisfying. But by Sunday, the guilt was beginning to creep in, as was the awareness that she was, perhaps, enjoying his attention a little too much.
Friday Evening Price: "Ah, so you are seeing these. Leaving me on read, are we? Cheeky. How about this: a quiet drink, no fuss. Just say the word, and I’ll pick the spot."
Saturday Morning Price: "Still not a peep from you. I’ll bet you’re curled up in bed, hiding under a duvet and feeling quite smug. Enjoy it while you can, love. I’m not that easy to ignore."
Saturday Lunchtime Price: "Alright, Y/N. What’s it going to be—coffee, tea, or something stronger? Whatever it is, my treat. Unless, of course, you’ve decided to make ghosting me your weekend hobby."
Saturday Evening Price: "You’ve got a talent for this, I’ll give you that. Leaving me on read again. What’s the matter, too shy to say no? Let me make it easy for you—just meet me for a bite. No questions, no pressure. Don’t let me starve alone, eh?"
She chuckled softly at that one, but still didn’t respond. Her takeaway had arrived moments later, and her commitment to laziness outweighed any inclination to text back.
Sunday Morning Price: "You’re relentless, aren’t you? Can’t even send me a cheeky little ‘no thanks.’ Fine, I’ll play your game. But if you’re still hiding come midday, don’t think I won’t find out where that flat of yours is."
Her eyes lingered on that one a little longer, her lips twitching into a smirk. She shook her head and set her phone aside. He was bluffing. Probably.
Sunday Lunchtime Price: "Alright, love, this is getting predictable now. Another takeaway, is it? No shame in admitting you’ve run out of ideas. Let me take you somewhere. I promise I won’t bite… unless you ask."
Her laughter bubbled up unbidden as she read the latest message, a part of her almost tempted to respond. But the lure of her blanket and the promise of another nap won out. She placed her phone face down and curled up, thinking smugly that he’d give up eventually.
But then, her phone buzzed again. This time, something about it made her pause. She reached for it hesitantly, her heart skipping a beat as she unlocked the screen.
"You’ve got a wicked streak, leaving me hanging like this. But fair warning, Y/N—I’m even more wicked when I’m crossed."
A moment later, another message buzzed in.
"Monday’s coming, love. You think you’ve won this little game of hide and seek, but let me tell you exactly how it’ll play out. First, I’ll find you the second you walk into the office. Don’t bother looking for an escape—I’ll already be there, waiting."
"And when I do, you’ll have to face me, love. Every glance you’ve been dodging, every word you’ve ignored—it’s all catching up to you. I’ll stand so close you’ll feel my breath against your ear, hear every word I’ve been saving just for you."
"I’ll tell you how much I’ve enjoyed watching you test me all weekend, how much I’ve been looking forward to seeing that pretty face go red when you realize you’ve pushed me too far. And then, Y/N, I’ll make sure you know exactly what happens when you leave me on read again. Ignoring me wasn’t the safer option, was it?"
Y/N’s hand froze mid-swipe on her phone, her heart thudding against her ribs. She could practically feel the heat of his gaze through the screen. The words lingered like a challenge, daring her to respond, but instead, her thoughts raced.
Monday loomed ahead, and with it came the inevitability of seeing Price. If he caught her, there’d be no way to avoid the fallout. The office teasing would go from lighthearted to unbearable in an instant. After all, they were already buzzing with rumors that Captain Price fancied her. The jokes and side-eyes were one thing, but if she gave him an inch, it could spiral into something far worse.
Unprofessional. Embarrassing. Impossible to ignore.
She reminded herself that this wasn’t forever. Just one more week. One week of keeping her head down, playing cordial when necessary, and dodging Price’s relentless pursuit. When her reservist period ended, she could vanish—no awkward confrontations, no more tension.
With that plan in mind, she took a deep breath, determined to defuse the situation. Her fingers hovered over her phone screen, finally drafting a reply she hoped would put him off—without fanning the flames.
"I’m sorry, Captain, for the late response. My dominant hand is the one injured, and I can’t really type easily," she typed, knowing it wasn’t entirely a lie. Her arm had been hurt during the operation and again when she got hit by the police van. But it wasn’t the whole truth either.
She hesitated before adding, "As for drinks and dinner, sorry—I’m not feeling well. The painkillers and meds are making me drowsy." Another half-truth.
Satisfied, she hit send, her heart still pounding as the message delivered.
A few minutes after sending the message, her phone buzzed again—this time, a call. She wasn’t even surprised. Of course, it was the Captain.
Y/N stared at the screen, debating whether to answer. She had already crafted the perfect excuse in her message; surely that should have been enough. But the insistent ringing told her otherwise. With a sigh of resignation, she tapped the screen, bringing the phone to her ear.
“Hello, Captain,” she said softly, infusing her voice with just enough weariness to sell her excuse. She wasn’t feeling her best, that much was true, but she leaned into the sluggish tone, exaggerating it just a touch.
His deep voice cut through, warm and laced with concern. “You don’t sound well, love. Why didn’t you say something earlier?”
“I didn’t want to trouble anyone,” she replied carefully, keeping her tone neutral. “It’s nothing serious, just the meds making me tired.”
“Still, you should’ve let someone know. You’ve been through the wringer; no one would’ve blamed you for taking it easy.”
She hummed faintly, feigning drowsiness. “I’ll be fine, Captain. Just need to rest.”
There was a pause, long enough to make her glance at the screen to check if the call had dropped. But then his voice came through again, low and insistent. “If you need anything—and I mean anything—you let me know. Don’t go toughing it out on your own.”
“Of course,” she replied, her tone measured. “Thank you, Captain.”
“Get some rest,” he added, the warmth in his voice undeniable. “And Y/N... don’t think for a second I’ll let you off the hook for dodging me all weekend.”
She smiled faintly despite herself. “Goodnight, Captain.”
“Goodnight, love.”
She ended the call, sinking back into her sofa with a quiet exhale. Neutral or not, conversations with Captain Price always left her feeling like she’d just walked a tightrope.
---------
And so, Monday arrived. Y/N was officially excused from the drills due to her injuries, leaving her with more downtime than she cared for. By the afternoon, she had retreated to the rooftop, seeking a quiet moment to herself. The crisp air and the hum of distant activity below offered a brief reprieve.
She wasn’t startled by the sound of footsteps approaching or the creak of the rooftop door swinging open. She didn’t even need to turn around to know who it was.
John Price.
The Captain strode toward her with the same calm, unshakable confidence he carried everywhere, his boots crunching softly on the rooftop gravel. His eyes locked onto hers, steady and intense, as he stopped just a few feet away.
“You know,” he began, his voice low, tinged with amusement, “I’d say you put up a good fight this whole time. But technically... you lost.”
Y/N sighed, her fingers momentarily clenching into fists at her sides. Of course. That deal. That ridiculous deal. If he outscored her in the drills, she’d agree to a date. Now, with her injuries keeping her sidelined, she hadn’t even had a chance to compete.
“That’s not exactly fair,” she shot back, leaning into her chair, throwing him a half-hearted glare. “I couldn’t even join the drills. Doesn’t exactly feel like a win for you.”
Price tilted his head slightly, a teasing smirk playing at the corner of his lips. “Rules are rules, love. No score from you means my score wins by default. Doesn’t seem like a problem for me.”
She exhaled a quiet laugh through her nose, frustration mixing with reluctant amusement. “So, what? You’re here to rub it in?”
“Not my style,” he replied smoothly, though the glint in his eye said otherwise. He took a step closer, folding his arms across his chest. “I’m here to collect. You owe me a date. After your reservist period, of course. I’ll give you time to prepare yourself.”
Y/N narrowed her eyes at him, caught between irritation and something else she wasn’t ready to admit. “Fine. After the reservist,” she replied finally, her voice firm, though her lips betrayed a faint, reluctant smirk.
Price grinned back, triumphant but impossibly charming. “I’ll hold you to that.”
Her lips twitched as though she might scowl, but she kept her composure. Instead, she turned her gaze back toward the horizon, letting his words linger in the air.
Keep cordial, her inner voice urged. Make it look like you gave up. Just until the reservist period.
----------
Throughout the week, Y/N kept things cordial with Captain Price, her responses measured and her expression neutral. She made sure to maintain a distance, neither too distant nor too familiar. Her usual sharp edge was subdued, but she wasn’t about to let herself get too comfortable, not with the promise of a date hanging over her head.
On the final day of her reservist period, Y/N made her rounds, bidding her chief and colleagues farewell. She offered a polite smile, keeping it brief. "See you all for the next round," she said, her voice calm and steady. She’d done what she came for—no more, no less.
She surrendered her building pass, her movements slow and deliberate, the weight of the week pressing heavily on her shoulders. Her mind was already elsewhere, focused on the quiet evening ahead. The plan was simple: order a ride from the app, go home, and finally take a moment to breathe.
But as she walked toward the gate entrance, her steps faltered. There, leaning casually against his vehicle, was John Price. Arms crossed, his expression unreadable, his posture relaxed but commanding all the same. The sight of him made her heart skip an unexpected beat.
She hadn’t expected him to be there, not like this, not after the deal had been made. She stopped a few paces away, the weight of the evening, the past week, settling into her chest.
Y/N schooled her expression into neutrality, masking the flicker of surprise that threatened to surface. She came to a stop a few paces away, meeting his steady gaze without wavering.
“Captain,” she said evenly, her tone as measured as her face. “What are you doing here?”
Price straightened slightly, his arms uncrossing as he pushed off the vehicle with an easy grace. His hands slid into his pockets, his demeanor as unhurried as ever. “Thought I’d drive you home,” he replied, his voice calm but laced with a teasing undertone. “Get you comfy, send you off proper.”
Her brows lifted, skepticism flickering across her features before she quickly subdued it. “I thought we had plans for the weekend,” she countered, tilting her head. “Isn’t that what you’re waiting for?”
A grin tugged at the corner of his mouth, the faintest hint of amusement glinting in his eyes. “We do,” he confirmed, his voice low and deliberate. “But I figured tonight’s about seeing you off, not keeping you waiting. Besides,” he added, stepping closer, “I wanted to make sure you didn’t disappear on me.”
Y/N held her ground, her gaze steady despite the subtle tightening of her grip on her bag. “I gave you my word,” she said simply. “I’m not backing out.”
Price’s grin widened slightly, his head dipping in acknowledgment. “Good,” he murmured, his tone carrying the weight of certainty. “Then let me take care of you tonight. Call it a preview of what’s to come.”
She sighed softly, shifting her weight but making no move to walk past him. “I can handle getting home on my own, you know.”
Y/N sighed softly, her voice steady despite the weariness weighing on her words. “Captain, we’re already seeing each other this weekend. Can’t that be enough?” She straightened her posture slightly, trying to inject just enough firmness into her tone. “I’m tired. I’d really like some space tonight. Besides, I’ve already booked a ride—it’ll be here any minute to take me home.”
Price tilted his head, his lips quirking into that infuriatingly knowing smirk. “Booked a ride, huh?” he drawled, his tone edged with playful suspicion. “Sounds a bit fishy to me.”
Her eyes narrowed, and she let out a quiet, deliberately exasperated sigh, raising her hands in mock surrender. “Fishy? Really?” she asked, her voice drowsy, tired, as if the conversation itself was draining her. “What could possibly be fishy, Captain? You’ve already got me cornered, don’t you? What else is there?”
For a moment, he didn’t reply. Instead, he looked at her, his cerulean blue eyes piercing and unyielding. The intensity of his gaze felt like it could strip away every layer she’d carefully constructed, leaving her flustered and raw. Y/N could feel the heat rise in her cheeks, her throat tightening slightly as she swallowed hard. She considered looking away but found herself unable to break the moment. Against all odds, she held his gaze, her breath catching in her chest.
Her heart raced, and she wasn’t entirely sure if it was from the exhaustion or the way his stare seemed to unravel her with disarming ease. It was as if the entire world had narrowed to just the two of them, the quiet tension filling the air like a tangible presence.
Just then, the sound of a car pulling up shattered the spell. Y/N blinked, the moment breaking as her ride arrived, offering a welcome distraction. Price glanced toward the vehicle, his smirk softening into something less teasing, more gentlemanly. Without a word, he stepped forward, pulling the door open for her with effortless grace.
Y/N murmured a quiet thanks, slipping into the car with relief as her pulse began to steady once more.
----------
Saturday arrived, and much to Price’s chagrin, his suspicions were confirmed—she had ghosted him. His messages went unanswered, his calls ignored, and every attempt to reach her was met with the cold reality of being left on read. At first, he tried to rationalize it. She was recovering, after all—injuries from the last operation and being hit by a van weren’t minor. Surely, she just needed time to herself.
But the nagging doubt refused to be silenced. Something didn’t sit right. Price wasn’t one to let things slide easily, especially not when it came to her. Eventually, suspicion got the better of him. He picked up the phone and called Gaz.
“Check on her, mate,” Price said, his tone firm but edged with an undercurrent of frustration. “See if she’s alright or if she’s just... dodging me.”
Gaz, ever loyal, agreed with a chuckle and promised to get back to him.
When Gaz finally called back, his voice carried that unmistakable tone of amusement. “Price,” he began, clearly holding back a laugh, “I hate to break it to you, but it looks like Y/N’s ghosting you. She’s fine. Healthy, alive, and very capable of responding—injuries or not. She’s just… apparently not interested in answering you.”
Price groaned, rubbing a hand over his face in frustration. Gaz's teasing on the other end only made it worse. “You’re really going to let her play you like that, Captain?”
Price shot back, trying to suppress his irritation, “I’m not letting her play me. I just need to get her attention.”
Gaz’s voice was laced with amusement as he responded, “Need some help, Captain? You want me to help smoke her out, get her to show her hand?”
Price paused, a thoughtful frown crossing his face. The idea wasn’t half bad. He might’ve preferred a more subtle approach, but if it came to coaxing her out of whatever funk she was in, he’d take any route that worked.
“Yeah,” Price muttered after a beat. “Smoke her out. Let’s see if we can get her to respond.”
Gaz chuckled. “Roger that, Captain. I’ll keep you posted.”
----------
A day later, Gaz messaged Y/N, inviting her out for another meal at the grill house. “Fresh out of reservist, thought you’d fancy a proper catch-up with the team,” he wrote, his tone lighthearted and familiar.
Y/N hesitated before responding. “I really can’t go out right now,” she explained. “Still healing from the injuries. Maybe once I’m fully healed up, I’ll join you guys again. Heck, I can’t even use my dominant arm to put on makeup or cover the scars on my face.”
Gaz read the message and nodded to himself, respecting her honesty. “Fair enough,” he replied. “Rest up. We’ll catch up when you’re back to full strength.”
The days turned into weeks. With time, Y/N began to recover, though it was a gradual process. The bruising faded within a month, and while her broken arm and leg required more time—closer to 8-10 weeks for proper healing—she was at least mobile again, albeit cautiously. By then, she could sense the weight of her inactivity lifting, her focus shifting toward regaining her full independence.
----------
Y/N opened her phone and checked the group chat, where one of her friends had organized a dinner at a sleek, smart-casual bar for the upcoming Friday night. It sounded like the perfect opportunity to get out, and nearly everyone would be there, including Gaz.
She typed a quick reply, “That sounds perfect. I have something scheduled that day, but I’ll be able to catch up with all of you afterward. I’ll be looking presentable enough after my meeting with the gallery curator. It’s a nice bonus that the bar is smart-casual, so I won’t have to worry about changing. I’m almost back to normal now—my arm’s almost fully functional, and I can walk without wobbling.”
The chat quickly filled with confirmation messages. It was settled—the group would meet on Friday night. Some of her friends couldn’t make it as they were deployed or on duty, but a good portion would be there, and Gaz would be joining them as well.
The meeting with the curator was later that day, and it went better than she’d hoped. He loved her work and was eager to feature her pieces in an upcoming exhibit. The only thing left was to wait for the official paperwork to sign once the contract was finalized.
After the meeting wrapped up successfully, Y/N headed to the bar. It was sleek and modern, exactly the kind of place where she could unwind after a busy day. When she walked in, the warm glow of the bar greeted her, and she quickly spotted her friends gathered around a large table. They greeted her with cheers and hugs, their laughter blending easily with the soft buzz of the place.
The table was filled with canapés, finger foods, and cocktails, everyone sharing bites and chatting comfortably. It was mostly her close lady friends, with Gaz as the only guy in the group. Some of the others couldn’t make it due to duty or deployment, but it didn’t dampen the mood. Y/N smiled as she settled in, feeling a wave of contentment as she finally had a moment to relax and enjoy the evening
As the evening wore on, more drinks and food made their rounds, fueling laughter and stories that bounced from one person to the next. The atmosphere was light, filled with the easy camaraderie of good friends catching up. Y/N, feeling the effects of the drinks and the good time, excused herself to the restroom, tossing a playful request to one of her friends. "Watch my bag for me, yeah?"
She returned moments later, her steps quick as she anticipated diving back into the fun. But as she approached the table, her brow furrowed in confusion. The table where her friends had been sitting was now empty. All the glasses and platters of finger foods that had once littered the surface were completely cleared away. Her eyes scanned the bar, only to find that everyone had vanished—everyone, including Gaz.
"What the hell?" she muttered to herself, half-expecting to find some sort of mix-up. Had they really just gotten up and left without a word? Why would they do that? It felt... off. Her eyes darted around the room, but there was no sign of her friends. No lingering goodbyes, no explanations.
And then, she spotted him.
Sitting where she had been just moments ago, as if he'd always been part of the scene, was none other than John Price. He was dressed in smart casual—fitting the ambiance of the evening, but with that added flair of his usual commanding presence. Arms crossed over his chest, he looked at her with that infuriatingly smug, victorious grin that always managed to make her feel like she’d lost some sort of battle.
This must be why everyone disappeared. A setup. A setup by John and Gaz.
Y/N’s eyes narrowed as she took in the sight of her Chanel bag resting comfortably on his lap. The bag, the one she'd inherited, and more importantly, the one that contained her essentials—her phone, her wallet, her cards, tissues, and yes, even her meds—lay there in his hands, as if it was a trophy.
She blinked, then stepped closer, feeling her lips twitch into a mix of disbelief and irritation. “Are you kidding me?” she asked, raising an eyebrow. "Really?"
Price didn’t even flinch. He just leaned back slightly, clearly amused at the scene unfolding before him, and tossed a cheeky glance toward her. "You took too long," he said smoothly, his voice low and teasing. "Figured I’d make myself comfortable while I waited."
His blue eyes scanned her, taking in every detail from head to toe before returning to her face. A playful grin tugged at his lips. "You look stunning," he said, his voice smooth. "Didn't know there was this side of you—besides the muddy aprons, overalls, and tactical uniforms. Not that you weren't beautiful then, but... there's something about you when you're all put together."
She stood before him, dressed in an off-shoulder navy blue midi dress that elegantly flowed to mid-calf. The neckline revealed her collarbone and her petite, delicate shoulders—features that had him fighting the urge to lean in closer. The sleeves of the dress were slightly puffed at the shoulders, tapering down to fitted cuffs at her wrists, adding just the right touch of drama to her polished look.
On her feet, a pair of navy blue velvet pumps completed the ensemble, elongating her legs and accentuating her graceful posture.
Her makeup was understated yet stunning, enhancing her natural beauty. Her well-groomed eyebrows framed her eyes perfectly, while a subtle smoky eyeshadow with neutral tones made her gaze captivating. A thin line of eyeliner defined her upper lash line, complemented by mascara-coated lashes that gave her eyes a soft, smoldering depth. A rosy blush brought warmth to her cheeks, while a bold satin mauve lipstick drew attention to her lips.
Her jewelry was minimal yet refined—a pair of gold hoop earrings added a hint of sophistication, while a delicate gold necklace with an intricate blue-eye gem pendant rested lightly against her collarbone, catching the light with every slight movement.
Her hair was styled in long, loose waves that cascaded down her shoulders and back. The soft, voluminous texture of her hair, parted in the middle, framed her face beautifully, striking the perfect balance between elegance and effortlessness.
John’s gaze lingered a moment longer, his appreciative smile deepening.
She exhaled an exasperated sigh, stepping forward with determination as she reached for her bag. Yet, his long arms moved swiftly, keeping it just out of her grasp. Her frustration mounted, but before she could protest further, his other hand slid around her waist in one fluid motion, pulling her close. Her breath hitched as his head came to rest lightly against her stomach, his blue eyes gleaming with playful defiance as he looked up at her.
Heat rushed to her cheeks, her pulse quickening at the sudden closeness. His hold was steady—not forceful, but firm enough to leave no doubt she wasn’t going anywhere. The smirk tugging at his lips was maddening, and the noise of the room seemed to fade, leaving only the charged space between them.
To anyone glancing their way, anyone who might have seen them at that moment would have easily assumed they were a couple.
"Give back my bag, Captain..." she murmured, her tone a mix of frustration and amusement.
His reply came without hesitation, the timbre of his voice dropping low enough to make her shiver. "No," he said, his grin widening. "How about we strike a deal instead? You owe me for ghosting me, and now..." He paused, letting his words linger between them. "You're going to make it up to me."
She let out an exasperated sigh, though the telltale flush creeping up her cheeks didn’t escape John’s sharp eyes.
“Could you let me go?” she asked, her voice betraying a mix of frustration and embarrassment.
He didn’t budge. Instead, he shifted, turning his body fully toward her. Seated as he was, he wrapped his arm more firmly around her waist, trapping her against him. Her hips now pressed lightly against his chest, and he looked up at her with a gaze so intent it made her pulse falter.
“Don’t make this harder on yourself,” he murmured, his voice low and edged with challenge.
She crossed her arms defiantly and turned her head away, refusing to meet his smoldering blue eyes. “What are you playing at?” she muttered.
His smirk deepened. “I’ll tell you what. Keep this up, and I’ll throw you over my shoulder and carry you out of here.”
Her head snapped back toward him, eyes narrowing. “You’re a neanderthal!! Oh, You wouldn’t dare!!”
“Try me,” he said, his tone casual but laced with intent.
She stared at him, weighing her options. The sheer audacity of him left her fuming, but the steady determination in his expression left no room for doubt. He would absolutely do it.
For the sake of her dignity—and her reputation—she sighed in defeat. “Fine,” she muttered, her tone laced with reluctant surrender.
John’s victorious grin was infuriating, but she couldn’t deny the spark of heat that danced in her chest. Once again, Captain John Price had won.
John rose from his seat, and her eyes widened as she was suddenly reminded of just how tall, broad-shouldered, and imposing he was. Even in her heels, she barely came up to his chest. The sheer presence of him made her feel small in a way that was both frustrating and... a little disarming.
A slow smile spread across his face as he reached for her hand, his fingers naturally intertwining with hers. She noticed, with some irritation, that he was still holding her bag by the straps in his other hand—clearly not planning to return it anytime soon.
“Uhmm... wait,” she blurted, gesturing vaguely toward the bar. “I need to pay for everything.”
John’s smile widened, his voice calm and reassuring. “Don’t worry about it. Your friends took care of it. They send their compliments... and their best wishes for you to enjoy your time with me.”
Her lips parted in disbelief, and she let out an exasperated groan, her head tilting back slightly. “Ugh, of course they did,” she muttered, the realization sinking in that her friends had been part of this elaborate setup all along.
A/N: And now... the Captain has finally CAUGHT YOU! No more running, no more escaping—you're in his hands now. 😏 So, what happens next when you're completely at his mercy? Get ready for some intense and seductive moments to come... because John Price is about to seduce the hell out of you. Trust me, it’s only just beginning. 😉 Enjoy the ride, and don’t say I didn’t warn you!

stress reliever - captain price
“yea just shut the fuck up and take it.” he would growl above you, your hair wrapped around his knuckles, his other hands fingers digging into you hip as he fucked you against his desk.
another failed mission, another dead recruit from lack of patience and carelessness. another stress add on. and the only stress reliever he had was you and your cunt.
of course whenever he called for you it was never to make love. no he wanted to abuse something. take his anger out on something. and you, one of three girls on the team, had exactly what he needed.
“you love me bunny, hm?” he would whisper, his eyes trailing to the door as he watched the shadows pass, pause, then keep walking again through his door cracks. “tell me you love me.”
of course, you would tell him you love him as his tip pounded right against your gspot, your fingers gripping onto the edge of the table, the beds of your nails turning white.
but the truth is, as much as it was a kink for him and he didn’t really love you, you couldn’t help but with your last encounters, actually begin to feel feelings for the old man.
now it was every young adults womams dream to be an older guys controversially young girlfriend, but the difference was that he wasn’t an actor or singer. he was your captain. and what you both were doing was absolutely illegal in every single book.
but the way his hands wrapped around your waist so perfectly, how your eyes looked at him so purely when he first saw you. how you whimpered out his name pathetically with each thrust he gave you.
his cock twitched inside you, his nose flaring as he tried to distract hos mind from wanting to cum so badly. he hadn’t even been inside you for 5 minuets at this point, and the first few thrusts were enough to get him off, pathetically pulling out and letting a small, almost impossible to hear whimper.
“all mine yes? this pussy is all mine?” he asked, pulling your hair back to make contact with your eyes. “a-all yours captain.” you whined, your right hand frantically looking for the hem of his boxers. “mhm.. who’s cock are you only allowed to cum on hm? tell m-me.”
his hand slipped from your hip to your throat, gripping it as ypu choked out his name. “again.”
every time you told him his name, he’d push all the way inside your squishy hole. his cock was wet with a mix of you and your cum, two orgasms of yours coating his cock right now.
“q-quit. quit leave here.. i’ll t-take care of you.. let me make you a… a mommy.” he panted, his eyes dilated and thrusts becoming more and more sloppy. “ w-what?”
before you could say much more or move more, he shoved your head to the desk, his cum shooting deep into your pussy as his toes curled against the carpet floor. he chanted your name, a long shiver running through his body as he gave on last thrust into you.
the next day he actually avoided you at all costs, making you actually sick to your stomach. and of course there was nobody you could tell about this or you’d have to really leave. so, you took a plan B from the camp med center and returned the energy captain price was giving you.
sorry for the super angsty endings yall. i think it adds some spice to ze story

Chapter 4: Blood Rush
Chapter 1
Chapter 5
Simon Riley has always run from his problems, he has since he was a child. It's the main reason he joined the military so young, to run from his family, their expectations, and the constant demands. And now he's running from his feelings towards John MacTavish. It's a little difficult to do when you're living with the man but Simon is good about avoiding people.
He knows Johnny has been trying to talk to him, trying to catch him. But Simon has done this his whole life... It's been about a week of Simon waking up before the sun and darting out of the building and into the busy streets near Piccadilly Square, he's found a little garden tucked away in a hidden spot to spend most of his time before he has to go to work.
Everyone has picked up on the odd tension coming from Johnny, the man's usually so chipper and happy. But the sadness turned to anger, quick clipped words and rude responses. Finally O'Connor stepped in, found Simon one morning before he disappeared before work.
"Whatever is going on between you two lads, you better fix it soon before Tavish flips his can on a customer." Simon just nods before heading out. He never did... So O'Connor forced him too. Simon and Johnny shared a shift in the nightclub and took a break at the same time.
Usually Johnny works the upstairs bar and Gary downstairs, on occasion the two will switch but it's never written onto the schedule. No this was O'Connors doing and so was Simon's and Johnny's breaks being at the same time.
Simon immediately began to formulate a plan on how the hell to get out of dodge before Johnny came to hunt him down. Usually Graves or Alex works the door outside but all Simon has to do is ask if they'd like to switch for the night. Alex was working at the door tonight and he was more than happy to switch with Simon.
Simon didn't even enter the building again, just clocked in and walked to the neon lit doorway and began to work. That is until it started to rain and O'Connor pulled him inside to check IDs.
He could feel the heat of Johnny's eyes on him, it felt like he was standing too close to a fire. That almost blistering heat that's right at the cusp of hurting but still pleasant. It made Simon both nervous and excited at the same time.
Simon was silently counting down the minutes before he could slip away into some random shadow and disappear. Simon got distracted in his work for a bit but he knew he still had thirty minutes before he could disappear and continue avoiding Johnny.
"Simon"
"Johnny" Simon turned to his right to see Johnny full uniform with no pocket square.
"Let's go we're on break." Simon could hear the bite of anger in his tone. He doesn't know why but it makes his heart race, it fluttered in his chest like a bird in a cage. But it also made his palms sweat and his back tense, winding tighter with anxiety.
"I've still got 30 Johnny, sorry" Simon shrugged his shoulders as he stayed where he was. He could see from the corner of his eye Johnny balling his fist next to him.
"No you don't... Let's. Go." Simon resigned himself to a very awkward conversation as he followed MacTavish further into the building. As they pass the bar O'Connor gives Simon a look of 'I told you'. Simon follows Johnny up to their apartment. As soon as the door closes the shorter man spins around glaring at Simon.
"What the fuck is your problem?" Johnny pins Simon in place with his glare, face contoured in anger and hurt. A part of Simon wanted desperately to rid his face of the hurt.
"I'm sorry, what?" Simon has a few problems at the moment and all of them stem from the crush he has on the man before him.
"You! I have been trying to talk to you, tell you I'm sorry for making you uncomfortable. But instead you disappeared everyday for a week!" Johnny is gesturing wildly as he steps away, pacing in the little entryway.
"Why are you sorry?" Johnny stops and whirls towards Simon as though he'd just asked the dumbest question.
"Because I misread everything, I thought you were interested in me. Clearly you're not and I'm sorry for making a move. But instead of talking like adults you keep running off and disappearing!" The anger is slipping further away and all that's left is hurt and now sadness on Johnny's face. Everything in Simon screams for him to fix it, he doesn't know how but he has to somehow.
"You haven't misread anything." Simon's mouth moved before his brain could process what just tumbled out.
"What?" Johnny looked even more hurt and confused, Simon decides he was done running just this once and he'd actually face this. Uncomfortable emotions and all.
"You didn't misread anything, I am attracted to you... More than anyone I've ever met. It scares me... I'm not good Johnny, with emotions or people or in general take your pick." Simon looks away from Johnny, anywhere but Johnny.
"So I ran, like I've always done because I'm not just attracted to you and that scares me. I like you Johnny... Fuck" Simon whispers the last word as he processes what just came out of his mouth.
"You're an absolute numpty Simon." Simon finally meets those ocean blue eyes and he can't help the little gasp that escapes his lips. Johnny steps towards Simon, getting as close as he did the night Johnny was drunk. Simon feels hand on his cheeks, cupping around the facemask he's still wearing.
"You still owe me a birthday present Si." There's a softness on Johnny's face, like he's giving Simon a chance to run again as Johnny begins slowly removing Simon's mask.
But Simon doesn't run this time, instead he places his hands on Johnny's hips gently pulling him forwards. Simon dips his head down slightly before pausing, his lips hovering just over Johnny's.
"Can I kiss you?" Simon just barely whispers, eyes meets Johnny's.
Johnny surges upwards and their lips meet. It's tender and soft, their lips slotting together perfectly. Sparks danced behind Simon's eyes as they closed and he leans more into the kiss. Simon shifts both of them, pinning Johnny to the wall. Simon nips at Johnny's bottom lip, causing him to gasp.
Not one to miss such a wonderful opportunity Simon tentatively slips his tongue across Johnny's lips. The man is very quick to part his own lips and letting his tongue peak out. The two explore, soft and slow together. Mapping out as much as they can before their lungs burn and they pull away from each other only slightly. Both gasping softly staring at each other.
Simon tries desperately to etch the image before him permanently into his mind. Johnny's pupils are blown wide, pink dusting his cheeks and creeping further. His lips are slightly swollen and pink as he's panting softly.
"Bloody Hell..."

CoD OC X TF141 (Platonic)
Authors Note: Hello to anyone this reaches (this feels like a message in a bottle) For over a year now I've writing both a storyline and drabbles of my Call of Duty OC with the 141 boys. I just love her so much, and I've been having a blast writing her and the boys. This is me finally getting the courage to post her story. Maybe my style of writing isn't for everyone, and I'm not a great writer or anything, but it's my story and character that I've grown very attached to. I did try my best to research how the military works from different parts of the world. Not gonna lie when I say it can get very overwhelming with the information. But I'm here for the fun times so inaccuracies will happen but I don't think they detract from the story or the characters as a whole. So I hope you enjoy :)
Story Note: When I tell you this is a slow burn...this is a SSSLLOOWWW BBUUURRRNN. The first story is simply for you to get to know Daniela (my OC) and learn how she got recruited to the 141. I want you guys to care for her story and struggles throughout her journey with the 141. Her relationship with each of the boys is purely platonic and each dynamic with them is different. The romance will come later I PROMISE!
*please be nice with me! I tried editing as much as possible! (Being bilingual makes me dumb sometimes)
Tigger warning? Well there is a kidnapping and your regular warfare violence but not in this chapter.

Harpia and the 141 part 1: The Boys and the Bird
Chapter 1: The Harpy and her cake
BANG! BANG! BANG!
The fireworks went off as the last of the set of military groups passed the line as their anthem faded into another marching band song. Streamers filled the sky along with stray balloons floated all around from children's slippery fingers. As a special anniversary of some hundred year old treaty to allied forces from long forgotten war, the militaries from all around the world were invited to show off in the hosting country. This time it was in Paris, France. The streets were littered with thousands of parade watchers and hundreds of military personnel showing off their fancy parade outfits. Shiny black boots stepped on fallen streamers and confetti as some sixty different countrymen and women advertised themselves to the civilians who decided to come out and enjoy the merriment.
“Come on Ghost, get into the spirit of it,” Soap waved a small Scottish flag in front of his friend's face.
“I hate these things,” Ghost gruffed.
“It’s a beautiful spring day in Paris. How can you hate it?” Gaz nudged on his comrades crossed arms.
“Because it’s annoying and loud,” Simon huffed.
“You just have to get into the spirit,” Soap fiddled his flag at Simon’s face.
“Soap, if you value that shit little flag then get it away or I snap it in half. Make a choice,” Ghost threatened.
Soap glared at his party pooping lieutenant, who always had a hard time in crowds.
“Haven’t been to one of these in awhile,” Gaz waved the U.K flag. “Have either you ever participated in one of these?” he asked.
“Once,” Soap and Ghost responded at the same time, though in different tones. Soap in a happy way and Ghost in an annoyed way.
“I’m gonna take a guess and say you hated it Simon?” Gaz chuckled.
“Got a free meal afterwards for it so whatever,” Simon huffed.
“I got to wear a fancy kilt and sash,” Johnny remembered the event fondly.
“Come on boys!” Captain Price called out for his boys from behind. “Let's get something to eat that, for once, we don’t have to pay for.”
The rest of the 141 followed behind the captain. Winding through the crowd they were curious as to why Price had brought them to the parade in the first place. This morning they were in their regular base across the English canal and by the afternoon they were surrounded by people while the music of marching bands pounded into their ears.
Soap moved up to Price’s side. “So are you goin’ to tell us why we’re here. Captain?”
“Not yet MacTavish. Let’s get some grub first then I'll get you in on it,” Price replied.
“You don’t know either do you?” Ghost spoke up.
“Something like that,” Price confessed.
When the group went around the corner of the street, a familiar face looked up to them. “Boys?” It was Laswell standing in front of the entrance to a giant white tent where parade performers were walking into.
“Kate,” Gaz was the first to come up to his mentor with a handshake and a smile.
“Good to see you again boys,” she grinned back at them. “Come on in and grab a bite while I talk with your captain,” she gestured for them to follow her. Before walking into the tent through a separate line, Kate flashed a laminated badge to the two security guards standing watch. They nodded to the agent for her to go with the 141.
Soap, Gaz, and Soap did as they were told by Kate. They were pretty hungry from all the walking and endless standing in the heat of the day. The three filled their plates to the brim with all kinds of good stuff while Price went to talk to Laswell on the side.
“So why did you need me here on such short notice?” the captain of the 141 asked.
Without saying another word Kate handed John a manila folder which only meant one thing. Although, with Kate that’s what most of their meets up and conversations were about; assignments and favors. Which would it be this time?
“Who is in need of saving this time Kate?” Price grinned sarcastically. As he opened the folder the first thing he noticed was the family photo as it was on top of the pile. Just a family of three; a father, mother, and daughter (a young woman) lined up together in front of some historic looking building. All three were smiling happily for the shot.
“She’s been taken,” Laswell said, then sipped on some champagne.
“And her importance? Price asked.
“The man is Juan Carlos Morena. He’s an environmentalist recently elected as mayor to a town in the south of Colombia. He's become infamous in the conservation sphere. And with him being elected as a mayor only made him more famous. It’s given other activists hope that people want change to happen in the region.”
“But?” Price looked to Laswell finding the “but” in this topic.
“Climate activists in Colombia have always been targeted by a number of greedy people. They are the disruptors to their illegal operations so it’s common for activists like this guy to be killed. Only this time instead of just killing him off his daughter has been taken by a confirmed cartel group operating in the area.”
“How is it confirmed?” Price asked.
“To make a statement they kidnapped her in daylight in front of people. It was filmed,” Kate took out her phone from her pocket and played the video on silent. It was a shaky shot but it was definitely a video of a young woman being shoved into a car while fighting for her life.
“How do you know it’s not some staged act? Daddy’s girl wanted to get away from parents?”
“I asked the same question but she’s also just as giving to the community as her parents are. She’s a lawyer and leader of her own organization of helping women leave their abusive households. She’s active in the community so trust me when I say she doesn’t seem like a spoiled, rich girl that got into the wrong crowd.”
“Christ,” Price flipped through the pages. “You said a confirmed cartel as well? How do we know that?”
“The symbol on the jeep is the symbol used by this particular organization. They’ve been within our radar for some time so it was recognizable. Not much has been done on our part to suppress them but this could finally be our chance.”
“So moving drugs and inciting violence is one thing but you finally draw the line at kidnapping a major figure of the community?” Price looked at Kate in suspicion.
“There have been plenty of stories that have come to me about these guys, Price,” she got defensive. “But stories weren't enough. Now we have footage and a kidnapping. It's a chance to finally put these guys down once and for all. And you and your boys are the best in the business for this kind of job. So what do you say?”
Price kept glaring at his old friend. Although she tried to hide it, Kate had a look of desperation and concern. Price gave in with a heavy sigh. “What are our villains' names?”
“They call themselves “The Jungle” or in Spanish it would be “La Jungla”,” Kate revealed in a rough accent. “They used to be a small sect connected to the Medellin cartel but have operated for the past twenty years as their own separate organization. These are dangerous people John. And the civilians of this region could use one less threat to their lives,” Laswell put the now empty glass onto a passing tray. Price stayed silent for a moment looking over the rest of the files. “You don’t have to accept this but the squad that’s being formed by their own military could use some people like you and your boys.”
The captain looked at the family photo one last time. Those smiles cut deep into the soldiers heart in thinking how scared they all must be. Her family weren’t the only one’s in pain. This was a whole community of people trying to make their lives better and it only keeps being interrupted by vile people like this cartel.
“Well, alright then,” John closed the folder and handed it back to his friend.
“Your support will be very appreciated, John,” Laswell grinned.
“How did you even hear about this mess?”
“Through the grapevine kind of situation. A friend, of a friend, of a friend contacted me.”
“Looks like you’re the most popular kid in the schoolyard Kate,” John chuckled with Kate following along with him as she found the comment humorous as well.
“There is one slight problem John.”
“And that is?”
“You and your boys have no experience in this region or a landscape like this and only you and Gaz know Spanish that’s passable at best. This is a region where English speakers are rare and communication will be a key,” Kate explained. “There could also be encounters with non Spanish speakers as well.”
“So what are you saying?” John crossed his arms.
“Your team is being loaned a new recruit. But don’t worry they have plenty of experience for this kind of stuff,” Laswell looked to her left and gestured for a man some feet away from them to come join her and Price. The man came up and greeted Price with a firm handshake. He was dressed in a formal military uniform with the flag of Peru patch on his left arm. “John, this is Colonel Alvarez of the Peruvian Air Force.”
“It is a pleasure to meet you, Captain Price,” the man nodded.
“Pleasure is all mine, Colonel. It’s not you who will be joining me for the mission will it?” John didn’t want to be rude but the man had some years on him to be doing a mission like the one he just accepted.
“No, no captain, I have recommended someone to Laswell for you to take on the mission. She is a very valuable asset to the air force and will be very helpful in this situation.”
“What does the Peruvian military have to do with the affairs of the remote region of Colombia?” John asked.
“That we share many common enemies and most notably…we share the Amazon,” the colonel noted. “It is not uncommon for military troops from different nations that share a border to assist one another on missions like this.”
“I’m going to take a guess and say you’re the friend of a friend Laswell was implying about?”
“Indeed,” the colonel nodded. “This is who will be joining your team captain,” the Peruvian man handed Price another manila folder with the name “Harpia” in the front.
John skimmed over the impressive resume of the recruit. Kate was right about her experience even though she had only been in the military for the past five years. “She’s quite the academic,” John noticed the bachelor's degree in her education side of the file along with a number of certifications. Then there was a list under the languages section that left him surprised. “What are all these?”
“Your recruit is an expert in indigenous languages, captain,” the colonel explained. “Where you are going, not everyone speaks Spanish. Not many military personnel have her knowledge and even fewer civilians have her experience and clearance for this kind of mission.”
“Alright, so we meet her over there?” John accepted the outcome.
“Not necessarily John, she was in the parade and is right here,” Kate said.
“She would be right over…” the colonel scanned the area of the dining tent. “There she is,” the colonel pointed to a young woman holding a small plate with a half eaten slice of cake.
“Does she know about all this?” Price asked.
“Indeed she does,” the colonel nodded. “You can go and meet her now if you like.”
“Then if you’ll excuse me,” Price nodded to the two higher ranking agents as he went off to the side and meet his new temp.
Not one for sneaking, John came up to the young woman directly. She was dressed in a dark green coat and knee length skirt in the same color and some low square heels. She had a fancy sash across her chest and a spiffy looking hat that lay on top of her neatly slicked back hair that was tied on a braided low bun. She was fully decked out as much as the other parade performers.
The young woman saw the captain make his way towards her and she put down her plate immediately. There was a cheery grin on her face once John was finally in front of her; towering over her frame. “Captain Price?” the decorated woman asked.
“That would be me,” John smiled at her. The most notable thing about the lady was her small stature. She seemed to be even shorter than Farah. Her cheekbones were high and sharp but also maintained a very round face. There was something very unique about her face but then he remembered the list of languages she knew.
“It’s an honor to meet you Captain,” she shook Price's hand enthusiastically. “I am Lieutenant Daniela Huari of the Peruvian Air Force.”
“Aka Harpia,” John added. “What’s that stand for?”
“The harpy, like in Greek mythology but in this case it’s after the harpy eagle of South America,” Daniela explained.
“Can’t wait to find out how you got that one,” John chuckled. “So you’re the one who’s joining me and my boys?”
“It would seem so,” Daniela nodded.
“You know what you’re walking into, right?” John had his concern dad tone switched on.
“I do,” the lieutenant nodded a yes to the captain.
“Good,” John smiled at her eagerness. “I mean clearly you more than qualified for this,” he held up her file. “Very impressive stuff in here.”
“Thank you Captain Price,” Daniela grinned at the praise.
“Alright lieutenant, you meet us on the base at 18:00 hours. There isn’t any more time to waste here.”
“Si, capitan,” Daniela saluted the higher ranking officer.
“Meet ya there Harpia,” John grinned once more to the young woman and made his way back to his boys who were stuffing themselves with all sorts of stuff on their plates. “Come on lads we have some packing and explaining to do,” Price waved for the other three men to follow him out of the tent.
“Who were you talking to Cap’?” Soap asked while taking one last bit out of his dessert.
“Who was that with Laswell?” Gaz then questioned as well.
“And who was the shrimp you talked to next?” Ghost added to the list of questions to his captain.
“Let’s talk about this at the base boys. There’s a lot to unpack here,” Price led his task force back to the base on the outskirts of the city.
Task Force 141 made their way to their assigned aircraft that would be crossing them over the Atlantic all the way to a base in Venezuela. Price was right about unpacking a great deal of information to the other three men. The mayor, the mayor's daughter, her kidnapping, the cartel, there was much for the boys to intake.
“A rescue mission and taking down a cartel. This’ll be fun,” Soap laid a friendly soft punch on Ghost’s shoulder.
“Just dandy, Soap,” Simon gruffed.
With heavy bags on their shoulders they finally found the lot for their transport. The loading dock door was fully open, ready for them to load in. But as they turned to go up the ramp all three men stopped dead in their tracks at someone already strapping in their own bags.
“Who the hell are you?” Ghost partially yelled at the woman.
Daniela bounced in her turn to the 141 crew members as she didn’t hear them come from behind her. “Oh you’re here, great,” she walked up to the men who towered over her.
“Lieutenant Riley, Sergeant Garrick, Sergeant MacTavish, it’s a pleasure to meet you boys. I’ll be working with you on this mission,” she extended her hand for one of them to shake but all three of them just looked at her confusingly.
“Boys! Be nice,” Price came from behind them. “This is lieutenant Daniela Huari. She is joining us as a pilot, guide, translator and interpreter, and survival expert,” Price came up to Daniela and gave her upper back a quick pat. “She’s on loan to us from the Peruvian Air Force so play nice with her. I want a good report about us from her when all this is over.”
“Survival expert?” Soap asked.
“The biggest disadvantage we have is that neither of us have ever been to this type of region. We’ve been to the country before but the place isn’t the streets of Bogota. This is the Amazon, a hostile environment we’ve never been to. Even though we’ll be assisting a military squadron from Colombia, I was informed that she will be needed.”
“For what?” Ghost asked.
“To make sure you don’t wipe your ass with a poisonous plant,” Daniela teased.
Gaz and Soap couldn’t help but snicker at the comment. Even Price couldn’t hold in a soft scoff to his chest. “Alright soldiers, let’s get going. We have a whole ass ocean to cross.”
Johnny laughed quietly to Simon. “She’s a lieutenant and you called her a shrimp.”
“Shut up,” Ghost rumbled beneath his breath.

For the marvellous @socially-awkward-skeleton, I present Lieutenant Rory 'Lamb' Sinclair and Sergeant Dillon 'Thighs' O'Sullivan with a fancy little lookbook I have put together.
Skelly and I discussed how Rory (as she is a sneaky bitch who likes getting close) has at least eight knives on her person at all times. We agreed on the following:
Two on in the back of her belt.
Two on her bulletproof vest.
One on each ankle (two total).
One in her right boot.
One hidden in her bra.
Rory's everyday wear is very sleek and professional. At the same time, Dillon dresses for breaking out into combat at a moment's notice (doesn't mean that Rory isn't possibly hiding a pea-shooter on her person).

Papa Bear Material Ch 7 (Captain Price Fic) Caught!!
Chapter 1 Chapter 1 (Shorter Version) Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6
Chapter 8 Chapter 9
@darkangel4121@ teenagellamaangel@madzzz0797@callsignferal(To the other’s who want me to tag you when there’s an update, just tell me at the comments)
A/N: Captain Price doesn’t just play the long game—he masters it. In this chapter, the tension simmers, the stakes rise, and the chase? Oh, it’s relentless. Let’s just say, when the Captain finally catches you, escaping isn’t as easy as you’d think. 😉🔥
Caught
The sweep had gone according to plan. Y/N’s strategy to split into groups with shields covering the front paid off, clearing the lower floor with precision and speed. The team worked like a well-oiled machine under her direction, systematically securing each room without unnecessary risks.
But one problem persisted: Price wasn’t there.
“Target’s moving,” one of her teammates reported over comms. “Up the stairs, northeast corner.”
Y/N clenched her jaw. Of course, he was already slipping through their grasp, always a step ahead.
"Team, secure this floor,” she ordered, her voice sharp with resolve. “I’ll pursue."
She didn’t wait for confirmation. Bolting up the staircase, her silenced rifle strapped securely to her back, she moved swiftly but cautiously. Every step echoed with the sound of her boots, adrenaline sharpening her senses.
Reaching the next floor, faint footsteps drew her attention down a long corridor. At the end, a single door stood slightly ajar, practically inviting her in. She approached it silently, her heartbeat steady but insistent.
The moment she pushed it open, everything shifted...
Strong hands gripped her wrist before she could react, twisting her arm just enough to disarm her. Her rifle clattered to the floor as she was spun around, her back hitting the wall with a thud.
She gasped, her eyes snapping up to meet Price’s intense blue gaze. Before she could say a word, his hand moved swiftly, ripping her comms from her shoulder harness. He tossed it aside with precision, the small device skittering across the floor before coming to a stop.
“Won’t be needing that,” he muttered, his tone calm but deliberate.
The silence that followed was deafening. No connection to her team. No interruptions. Whatever happened now—whatever words passed between them—would remain unheard, their exchange confined to the walls of this room.
“Finally,” he said, his voice low and raspy, sending an unbidden shiver down her spine. “Caught you.”
The words were teasing, but his tone carried an undercurrent of triumph that both irritated and flustered her.
Y/N tried to keep her expression neutral, even as her heart raced. His imposing frame loomed over her, his presence commanding and all-consuming.
“You think I didn’t notice you avoiding me? Hmm?” His smirk deepened, his eyes gleaming with a mix of amusement and something more dangerous.
“I’m not avoiding you,” she said evenly, her voice steadier than she expected.
His chuckle was soft and deep, the sound brushing against her composure like sandpaper on glass. “Sure you aren’t,” he murmured, his face inching closer.
“Captain, this isn’t exactly professional,” she bit out, trying to regain control of the situation.
“Who said anything about being professional right now?” he countered, his lips curling into a maddeningly smug grin.
Her breath hitched as he leaned in, his voice dropping even lower. “Admit it. You’re afraid of something.”
“I’m not afraid,” she snapped, her irritation breaking through.
“No?” His gaze flickered, taking in her flushed face and the tight set of her jaw. “You’re right. You’re not afraid. You’re avoiding.”
That did it. Her free hand moved quickly to her sidearm, drawing the training handgun. In one smooth motion, she fired a marking round straight into his abdomen.
The sharp crack echoed in the room, and Price flinched, glancing down at the paint splattered on his vest. He blinked in surprise, then let out a low, rumbling laugh.
“Cheeky,” he said, his smirk returning.
Y/N stepped back, holstering the weapon with deliberate calm. Her heart was still racing, but she wouldn’t let him see it. “Looks like I caught you after all, Captain.”
His grin widened. “Not counted,” he retorted, his voice dripping with smug defiance.
She barely restrained a smirk of her own, opting instead to sigh as if completely unimpressed. “Whatever helps you sleep at night.”
----------
The team gathered in the briefing room, the air filled with a mix of accomplishment and exhaustion. The target—Price—had been neutralized, but the satisfaction was tempered by his no-nonsense presence at the front of the room.
“Well,” Price began, his tone steady, eyes scanning the group. “Good work. The sweep was tight—quick, efficient, and coordinated. Exactly what I expect.”
A few murmurs of approval rippled through the team, but Y/N stayed quiet, arms crossed as she leaned back in her chair.
“But,” Price added, and the room fell silent, “there was a lapse.” His gaze locked on Y/N.
“You pursued alone and left your six exposed,” he said, his tone firm. “In a real op, that could get you or your team killed. Always ensure you have backup.”
Y/N held his gaze, her expression unreadable, though her jaw tightened slightly. “Noted, Captain,” she said evenly, keeping her voice neutral.
Price’s lips twitched into a faint smirk, but he let it go. “Dismissed,” he announced, turning to address the rest of the room.
As the team gathered their things, one of them grinned at Y/N. “From Tortoise to Snapping Alligator Turtle, huh?”
Y/N rolled her eyes, adjusting her gear. “You lot really make it sound like I’m some kind of Pokémon,” she muttered.
“Snappingator! Use Shell Slam!” another teammate chimed in, barely holding back laughter.
“Oh, for crying out loud,” Y/N groaned, shaking her head. “I’m not a bloody Pokémon!” The group burst into laughter, and despite herself, she couldn’t help but join in, shaking her head.
As the others filtered out of the room, still chuckling over her Pokémon quip, Y/N was about to slip past the door when she found herself face to face with Price, his tall frame blocking her path.
He leaned in slightly, his voice low and teasing. “Careful, Inspector. Keep talking like that, and I might just catch you one of these days.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow, her annoyance bubbling up. “Oh, here we go again,” she groaned, rolling her eyes. “I’m not some bloody Pokémon.”
The smirk that curled at the corner of Price’s lips only deepened. “You’re not? Shame. I’ll catch you one of these days, though.”
She tried to step around him, but his presence was still overwhelming. He gave her no space. “Careless isn’t your style, Inspector,” he murmured, his tone dropping an octave, as if he knew she was trying to dismiss the challenge in his voice.
Y/N met his gaze, her expression neutral, but her heart rate quickened slightly. “Won’t happen again, Captain,” she said coolly, stepping past him with her head held high.
Price’s soft chuckle followed her, rich and warm, as he stepped aside. “See that it doesn’t,” he said, his voice lingering in the air behind her.
----------
Y/N barely made it through the debrief without rolling her eyes. Price’s relentless pushing was starting to wear on her. Not today, she reminded herself. He wasn’t going to get under her skin. He wasn’t going to win.
To decompress, she grabbed a drink and a snack from the canteen and took the fire exit to the rooftop. The metallic echo of her boots on the stairs helped settle her nerves. No one would find her here.
Once on the roof, she headed to her usual spot—a small, boxed-in area behind the fire exit door. The concrete was cool beneath her as she leaned back, cracking open her drink and taking in the wide-open sky. No drills. No critiques. No piercing blue eyes. Just silence.
For a moment, she let go of the tension that had built up throughout the day. This was her place, her escape.
As she finished her snack and took a sip, she thought with a smirk, Let him try to find me.
But she hadn’t been there long when the rooftop door creaked open behind her. Her heart skipped a beat, fingers tightening around her drink. No. Not now.
Heavy boots clunked slowly against the concrete, each step deliberate. She held her breath, hoping it wasn’t who she thought it was.
“Thought I’d find you here,” came Price’s voice, low and easy, the words cutting through the quiet like a blade.
Y/N cursed under her breath as his shadow stretched across the ground. He couldn’t have—how the hell did he—
“Come on out, love,” he teased, his voice rich and warm. “I know you’re here. Can’t hide from me forever.”
Y/N exhaled slowly, trying to steady herself. She could hear the smirk in his voice. He wanted a reaction. Well, he wasn’t getting one.
But then his footsteps stopped, and the silence that followed was deafening.
“You’re going to make me come find you, aren’t you?” Price mused, amusement threading through his tone.
Y/N gritted her teeth. She could feel him getting closer, and she cursed her luck. He was about to—
And then his face appeared, right around the corner of the wall, his blue eyes locking onto hers.
“There you are,” he said, his smirk pulling at the corner of his lips.
Y/N felt heat rush to her face, her drink forgotten in her hand. Price leaned against the wall, effectively blocking her in, his presence overwhelming. The space between them seemed to shrink with each passing second.
“Planning to hide up here all day?” he asked, his voice soft but laced with challenge.
“Maybe,” she muttered, keeping her tone neutral as she turned her head, avoiding his gaze. “Got a problem with that, Captain?”
He chuckled, his breath warm against the cool rooftop air. “Not at all,” he said, stepping closer, his hands braced on either side of her against the wall. “But I do have a problem with you avoiding me.”
“I’m not avoiding you,” she snapped, more sharply than intended.
“Oh, really?” he murmured, leaning in just enough that she could feel his breath on her ear. “Because it sure feels like every time I get close, you slip away. Like you’re afraid of something.”
Y/N crossed her arms, trying to maintain some semblance of composure despite the rising heat between them. The chill of the rooftop was thickening with something else—something charged.
“I’m not afraid of you,” she said, her voice more clipped than she meant. “I’m just taking a break. You can sit here too, if you want. We won’t bother each other.”
Price leaned casually against the wall beside her, his gaze unwavering. “That’s not what I want, Y/N,” he said, his voice dropping to a near-whisper, rich with intent. “I’m not here to share space. I’m here because I want you.”
The air seemed to thicken between them. Y/N’s chest tightened, but she pushed it down. She wasn’t about to let him see that he had any kind of hold on her.
“Don’t start with that,” she said, irritation creeping into her voice. “I’m not interested in dating anyone, especially not you. And I’m busy.”
He moved closer, his presence nearly suffocating. “I don’t think you understand, love,” he murmured, his voice dropping lower still. “I couldn’t take a ‘no’ from you if I tried. And believe me,” he leaned in just enough for her to feel the warmth of his breath on her ear, “I fancy you too much to let it slide.”
Y/N clenched her jaw. Fancy her? This man, who probably had women chasing him at every turn—women who fit his dangerous, mysterious vibe—was saying that about her? She hadn’t even bothered with makeup today. Her hair was shoved into a tight bun, no effort beyond practical. And yet here he was, with that smirk, telling her he fancied her.
Really? she thought. She swallowed her surprise, but her voice was laced with disbelief. “You fancy me?” she asked, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “Tell me something I don’t already know.” She glanced at her reflection in the glass, taking in the shapeless tactical gear that she wore. “I look like I just crawled out of a warzone, and you’re telling me you fancy me? Yeah, sure.”
Price’s lips quirked into a smile, his eyes locking with hers, a glint of mischief in them. “I do. And don’t try to hide it—you fancy me too, Y/N. I can see it in your eyes, even if you’ve got your hair shoved up and no makeup on. You can’t fool me.”
Her teeth gritted at the audacity of this man, and somewhere deep down, she could feel it—a flicker of something more than annoyance, something that she couldn’t quite shake off. But she dismissed it, pushing it back. This was a game to him, right? He was just playing with her.
“Sounds like a fuckboy move to me,” she muttered under her breath, fully aware that he could hear every word.
Price chuckled, moving even closer, so close their bodies were nearly touching. “That’s the fun of it, isn’t it?” His voice was low, rich with teasing amusement. “But don’t worry, love. I don’t play games. And Certainly not with you.”
Y/N could feel the heat radiating off him now, the tension almost unbearable. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to push him away or lean in, but she wasn’t about to let him win.
“No,” she said firmly, looking up at him with defiance. “I’m not interested. And you’re wasting your time, Captain.”
Y/N straightened her back, locking her gaze on Price as if to shield herself from the pull of his presence. “Can’t you just take ‘no’ for an answer?” she asked, her voice steady but laced with an edge that cut through the tension. “I’m not interested in dating. Especially not men in the force—whether active or retired.”
She held her ground, arms crossed as though she could build an invisible wall between them. This wasn’t just about him. It was a rule, a hard-earned boundary etched into her from years of experience. She wasn’t the kind of woman who gave in easily. Not to men like him.
Price’s jaw tightened, but there was something almost respectful in his eyes as he processed her words. He wasn’t surprised—he’d read her file, after all. Her father’s legacy in the Navy, the way her past had scarred her more deeply than anyone knew. He understood the why behind her walls, even if he’d never acknowledge it to her.
But rather than retreat, he remained there, his expression softening just slightly. “You’re quick to categorize people, aren’t you?” His voice was low, slicing through the quiet between them with a calm that almost matched her own.
Y/N narrowed her eyes, irritation flickering in her gaze. “I know what I’ve seen. What I’ve lived,” she replied, her voice sharper now, an undercurrent of fire running through it. “It’s not categorizing. It’s experience.”
Price’s head tilted slightly, his gaze never leaving hers. “And you think I’m just like him? Or them?” His tone was gentler, but still held that edge of amusement, as if he found something about her response both intriguing and… telling.
Her pulse quickened. The conversation was edging dangerously close to territory she wasn’t ready to open up about. She clenched her jaw, trying to regain control. “I don’t think anything. I just know I’m not interested.”
His chuckle came low, warm—almost disarming—and for the first time, Y/N found herself thrown off-balance. “You’re a tough one, love,” he said, his voice rich with a sincerity that stirred something inside her she wasn’t ready to acknowledge. “But I’m not here to prove you wrong. I’m here because I fancy you.”
The raw honesty in his words sent a ripple of heat through her. But she couldn’t let herself fall into whatever trap he was setting. Not now. Not ever.
She forced herself to meet his gaze, crossing her arms tighter, the defiance sharp in her posture. “Well, you can fancy someone else, then. Because this?” She gestured between them, her voice cool but firm. “It’s not happening.”
Price took a step back, his eyes still locked on hers, but there was a new challenge in his gaze. “Not today, maybe,” he said with a smirk, the words heavy with both promise and something far more dangerous. “But we’ll see.”
Y/N’s heart raced in her chest, the beat betraying her controlled exterior. Her walls were still firm, but she felt the subtle shift in the air—the electric tension between them, the undeniable pull. She would never let him win. Not like this. Not ever.
But deep inside, she wasn’t sure if he was the kind of man she could resist forever.
“How about this?” Price said, leaning in with that same infuriating smirk. “One challenge. One drill. If you win, I’ll back off. No more pushing. No more teasing. But if I win…”
“I don’t want to play this,” she cut him off, her tone sharp.
His smirk didn’t falter, only deepened. “If I win, one dinner. No pressure. No strings. Just one chance to prove I’m not the bastard you think I am.”
Y/N stared at him, weighing her options. The last thing she wanted was to give him the satisfaction of a win—not out of competition, but because peace was her priority. Dating, especially someone like him, felt like inviting chaos into her carefully built walls.
Still, if he wasn’t going to back off, she could at least end it on her terms. She sighed, feigning indifference.
“Fine,” she said, crossing her arms, her voice cool and deliberate. “But we’re not doing it your way. One drill? Not enough. We’ll stack up the drills. Multiple ones, over the course of my reservist period. If your score is higher than mine at the end of it, I’ll go on one date. Just one.”
Price raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. “Multiple drills, huh? You think that’ll give you an advantage?”
Y/N kept a straight face, her tone firm. “Whatever it takes to win.”
“And if I win,” she continued without hesitation, “you leave me alone. No teasing, no ‘challenges,’ no fancying me. No popping up at my stall. You just let me get back to my life without any more of… this.”
Price chuckled, stepping a little closer, his voice dropping into that low, teasing rasp. “Careful, Y/N. You might regret making a deal with me.”
“Doubtful,” she replied, narrowing her eyes. “Now, if you don’t mind, I’d like to finish my tea in peace.”
“Of course,” he said with a shrug, pushing off the wall. “But don’t get too comfortable. I don’t lose easily.”
“Neither do I,” she muttered under her breath, watching him disappear back down the fire escape.
As much as she tried to push it aside, the weight of the challenge lingered. She hated the idea of letting him win—not for any romantic reason, but because letting him break through the walls she’d built was something she couldn’t afford.
And yet, a small, infuriating part of her wondered if this was exactly what he’d wanted all along. A/N: The tension just keeps building and building!! Woo! Get ready, because even more tension is on the way in the next chapter!

strawberry | John Price
summary: price gets you to use your safe word
warnings: rough sex, choking, biting, spanking, overstimulation, public oral (male receiving), slapping(mentions of blood). just like really aggressive John until the end where we get soft core John, not edited bc of how much I wrote so, ignore and possible typos PLZ
Price was always pretty rough with you during sex. but never enough to make you cry like he did tonight. he was a whole new person, new man. and all it took was the teasing at dinner with his family to set him off.
it started off light. pulling your dress down in the car, showing off the top of your boobs. of course, you played dumb, apologizing and saying 'I didn't know'. at first he had fallen for it, saying he wouldn't mind if you kept it that way. but then, you got more bold and cocky. under the dinner table, your hand found its place on his pants, right where his dick rested so peacefully. his eyes that were once on the menu were now on your innocent ones. "is everything alright?" his mother asked. John smiled and nodded, a small chuckle leaving his lips. "yes she just looks so pretty tonight doesn't she? cant keep my eyes off her." he smiled, looking back down at you.
the rest of the dinner you got progressively more cocky. to the point his dick was now out, resting in your warm hand. his parents talked about John's passion for the military, how he'd been dedicated to it his whole life. all while your hand played with his tip, squeezing it ever so gently. his hand was quick to find your thigh, gripping it firmly. thankfully, the cloth was enough to cover his lower half and yours, but the thrill of it all was still very much there. when the waiter had came by, you smoothly let his girth go, using the table cloth to cover his hard on. you smirked at the tiny wet circle that appeared onto the cloth right where his tip was.
when his parents were deep into the menu, the waiter helping them with choosing what to eat, John leaned down to your ear and whispered, "keep this up I promise you'll regret it. don't test me lovie." he smiled down at you before turning back to his parents. you pressed your thighs together, smiling softly to yourself. this was exactly what you wanted from him.
his dick remained out for the rest of the dinner, your hand occasionally reaching down and giving it a firm grab, surprising him each time. by the time dinner was done, he had come close to finishing at least 3 times, always flicking your hand away. he was good at keeping his moans and groans suppressed (public sex was something you both had often), but when he'd cum that was a whole different situation.
"well it was lovely seeing you both tonight. we should do this more often." you smiled to his parents as John tried to put his throbbing dick back into his pants. "it was. thank you for inviting us out. hopefully next time we do meet you both will tell us your pregnant." his mom winked, standing from the table. you blushed and looked at John who's eyes were already staring at you. " who knows mom. you might get lucky real soon." he said, his eyes remaining on yours.
the car ride was silent. you were excited but also a bit nervous about what he had in store. of course, you had a feeling it would be nothing short of amazing. "I had fun with your parents." you said as he pulled to a red light. he shifted his whole body to you, tilting his head to the side. "really? seems you had too much fucking fun." he said, his deep voice suddenly turning into a threatening tone. you shifted in your seat, a proud smile still plastered across your face. "I did. you didnt?" you asked innocently, batting your eye lashes.
before he could respond the light turned green. he shifted back to his original position, driving off quickly. his driving got you both home within 10 minuets, and he was quick to get out the car, slamming the door behind him. he walked over to your side, opening the door and helping you out. it was dark outside, about 9:30 at night. the only light that lit the street was the porch lights on each house.
when he had helped you out fully, he quickly dragged you to the front of the car, shoving you down. you gasped at the pain of your knees and the cement, looking up at him. " John that fucking-" his hand came crashing across your face, gripping your chin so you'd look back up at him. "think I fucking care after that shit you pulled at dinner?" he growled, his grip on your chin growing firmer. you looked up at him, smiling innocently. " I was just having fun tho." you said softly, fingers playing with the ends of his pants.
he growled and let your face go, going to his pants buckle while keeping eye contact. "wanna play silly little games like that, okay. lets play." he gripped your hair at the top of your head, forcing your head back. you gasped at the sudden tug, biting your lip at the same time. "open." he said, gripping his dick with his other hand, jerking it off in front of you. "but captain were outside" you smirked, only teasing him more. "stop fucking playing with me. open your goddam mouth." he growled, tugging your hair. you whimpered at the pain, but ultimately opened your mouth. he wasted no time shoving his dick down your throat, your hands immediately going to his thighs to keep balance.
" s..shit. this what you wanted, hm? just needed my dick down your fucking throat." he growled, pulling his hips back before moving them back onto your face. you were unable to even say anything, but the way you nodded slowly as best you could, he smiled down at you. it was so thrilling, getting your face fucked outside in public. the way he looked down at you with such admiration, his dick repeatedly hitting the back of your throat, just to slide back out again.
he pulled your head back a bit more, your head resting on the front bumper of the car now. that same hand rested onto the car hood, his other on your shoulder. "g..gonna fuck that throat faster. bet you want that huh?" he groaned, his hips moving faster. his head fell back, grip on your shoulder tightening. to be honest, John had never gone this far with face fucking. he was pretty gentle when it came to head. sex, no, but when you gave him head it was never something that he forced upon you or was super rough with. he let you take your time, breaks whenever you needed. he was patient. but not tonight and it was definitely something you had to get used to.
your drool practically poured out your mouth, his dick slippery with your saliva. the mix of his pre cum and your saliva made it even easier for his throat to slide down your throat, and it was a feeling he wanted to keep on feeling. tears poured out your eyes the more rough he got with you, mascara running down your cheeks. and he loved it. "look do fucking gorgeous like this love. wanna fuck your face more." he moaned, watching his dick and a fuck ton of saliva come from your mouth as he pulled his dick out, sliding it back in to watch it all pool at the corners of your lips.
to be honest, it was a bit much. again, it was something neither of you had really experienced before. and as much as you tried to relax your throat, it was pretty hard because of how fast and rough he was getting. but when he whimpered out your name, head falling forward, mouth slightly agape, you couldnt give up. "gonna cum baby.. gonna cum down that tight fucking throat." he moaned, his had that was once on your shoulder cupping your cheek. you squeezed your eyes shut, whimpering around his dick. his body jerked forward, his body falling forward onto the hood of the car, his cum shooting down your throat.
he gasped, strained groans leaving him, his hips giving you small thrusts. "t-thats it baby.. fucking swallow.. all of it." he groaned, breathing heavily above you. you tried your best to swallow it all, only a bit seeping out of your lips. he slowly slid his dick out, strings of saliva, cum or even both connecting you both. shoving his soaked dick back in his pants, he looked down at you. your jaw hurt, lips too. you looked up at him, chest heaving up and down. "get the fuck up." he said, gripping your arm and pulling you up into his chest. he gdragged you to the front door, quickly opening the door and shoving you inside.
you had tripped, but ultimately kept your balance. his keys were thrown onto the mail table as he flicked the light on, making quick movements towards you. saliva was still smeared across your face, his cum too. but to say he cared would be a lie. his lips pressed firmly against yours, his tongue sliding in easily, his hand pressed to the back of your neck while his other gripped your ass. "couch. now" he said against your lips. you stumbled backwards, quickly making your way to the couch. despite your stumbling he walked towards you slowly, his head tilted to the side a small smirk plastered along his face. he loved the shy, kinda shocked version of you. he ate it up every time.
"wait." he said as you got to the couch. he walked in front of you, sitting down on the couch. he leaned back, man spreading before patting his lap. "lay." was all he said, eyes staring up at you. you hesitated but did as he asked, laying across his lap. he sighed, hand gripping your calf before moving his hand up your leg. "been so good for me so far. gonna keep being good?" he asked, gripping your thighs, your dress trailing up your body the farther his hand went. he loved your thighs. so much so he one night woke up and decided to fuck into them. pressed them together against your chest, ramming into them. it was hot how much he loved all the parts of your body you had always been insecure or less confident in. when his hands came to your ass, he smoothly slid your panties off and down your legs, tossing them beside him on the couch.
you nodded, throat still pretty sore to speak. but he wasn't going to have that. his hand came down on your ass harshly, your body jerking forward. but his actions after contradicted that, his hand rubbing on the red spot. " words princess. you know I dont like feeling ignored." he whispered, his other hand petting the top of your head soothingly. "y-yes" you croaked out, letting go of the breath you had no idea you were holding onto. " such a shame tho." he mumbled, his hand quickly coming back down harshly onto your ass. a pained whimper fell from you, your eyes squeezing shut, hands gripping the pillow right in front of your face. "you were acting like such a slut earlier. sluts get punished, dont they? especially my pretty little slut." he said, leaning down to your ear while his hand slapped another red spot onto your ass.
John had become a whole new person in the blink of an eye. first the face fucking, now the spanking. what was next? you weren't necessarily scared. but you were anxious. anxious about what he would do to you next. how far he'd take it. you were left in the dark. " teasing me in front of my parents. in public." slap. "bet you wanted me to cum under that table, didnt you?" another harsh slap. he watched how your ass jiggled after each hit, bitting his lip. he himself had no idea what came over him. at all. but he knew that he liked it. in fact, he loved it.
your ass was a bright red, stinging so badly the cold air didnt even help. in a way, it made it worse. tears once again didnt fail to brim your eyes, feeling more and more slaps hit your ass, the same spot each and every time. " P-price please" you cried out. but he was in a trance. he hated it, but deep down loved the way blood began to prickle up from the spot he was abusing. "so pretty.." he whispered, before leaning down, placing a small kiss onto the skin before gently biting the spot. you winced in pain, again digging your nails into the pillow.
he sighed, pulling you up by your waist, your knees digging into his thighs. "lay down baby.. gonna fuck that pretty little cunt." he whispered, holding your hips to help you lay down. once you were comfortable, back on the couch, he rose, pulling his pants off and down his body. his dick sprung out, pre cum leaking onto the floor in drops. you whimpered at the sight, your eyes shooting back up to his. " dont worry baby.. im gonna fuck you." he smirked, practically leaping over you. he leaned back down, lips meeting your slightly wet ones. your face, for the most part, was dry and crusty. but again, he didnt care. he'd been on the battle field with literal guts splattered everywhere. plus, it was his own cum on your face
his lips distracted you from his tip moving up your cunt, collecting all the slick you had. it was embarrassing, how much pain and embarrassment made you wet. you both had a wild side, but there were limits that you both hadn't yet reached, but tonight, he had decided it was time. and its not like you minded and your cunt was proof you didnt.
without warning, his dick pushed into you, a gasp coming from you that broke the kiss. his nose touched yours, his eyes looking down into your wide ones. " I know baby.. just relax. " he whispered, feeling you tighten around his dick. your hands found his shoulders, gripping them firmly as he bottomed out inside you. his forehead connected to yours, a deep sigh leaving him. he wasted little to no time in gripping your legs to wrap them around his waist, your bleeding ass cheek failing to not sting. he pulled out real slow before slamming back into you, going straight in for a faster pace.
your head pressed into the pillow, eyes squeezing shut. " fuck this cunt is so tight. so fucking... good." he groaned, his hands keeping his body up. he looked down, watching his dick slide in and out, the slick from your cunt forming strings. the sounds were sinful, the squelching of your wetness as his dick slammed into you. "j-john.. oh my god~" you whined, back arching up. he smirked down at you, one hand gripping your face. " keep those pretty eyes on me. wanna see your face while I fuck you senseless." he said, his voice deep and smooth like honey.
his tip was quick to hit your womb, the bulge in your stomach not going unnoticed. he moaned at the sight, biting his lip. " look at that. taking this dick so well. such a good slut for me, aren't you?" he cooed, watching it disappear and re appear over and over. you went cross eyes, mouth falling agape at how deep he was hitting into you. it was embarrassing, but you felt your first orgasm of the night hit you like a train. it was coming, and coming fast. he felt the way your cunt pulsed around him, and he chuckled, looking back up at you. "gonna cum already? better hold it. im not done with this little cunt." he said, his right hand going to your throat.
your gasped, hands gripping his wrists as his thrusts only got more and more rough. you couldnt hold back and he knew you couldnt. but he wanted that. he wanted you to cum, just so he could punish you for cumming. his eyes were saying it all, watching you with a small smirk on his lips, mocking you. the way he looked down at you, his thrusts hitting all the right spots in your cunt, you couldnt stop the knot in your stomach from coming loose. he smiled, looking down between you both to watch your cum pour out of you and coat his dick.
" tsk tsk.. being a bad girl again are we?" he chuckled, shaking his head. " I-i couldnt.. help it. im s..sorry" you whined, eyes pleading with his. but he didnt care. again, this is what he wanted. now he could punish you for it.
his hips didnt stop. in fact they sped up. he let go of your throat, that same hand finding your clit. " gonna cum again. and again. until I decide ive had enough of you. since that what you wanted to fucking bad, right?" he asked, watching his thumb play with your throbbing clit. you tried your hardest to pull away, but his other hand held your hips down. " stop fucking running. take what the fuck you deserve for being such a fucking cum slut." he growled, leaning farther over your body to hit deeper into your cunt.
your mouth fell agape once more, your hands digging into his shoulders. he moaned at the feeling, his head falling into your neck. his lips sucked onto your skin, leaving behind big, dark purple and red, bloody marks. his teeth sunk into your skin, feeling his orgasm approaching. " gonna cum in you. you want that, want me to fill you up with my cum? make you a mommy?" he moaned, his thumb still working on your clit. " y-yes.. fuck fill me with it John p..please" you moaned, hands finding the back of his head and running your fingers through his hair.
he moaned into your neck, giving you a few harsh thrust before small, cute little whimpers slipped past him. his cum shot deep into you, his teeth once again sinking into you. you cried out at the pain, the taste of blood dancing along his tongue. and when you though the was done, you felt his hips slamming back into you.
he leaned up off you, blood smeared on his bottom lip. his hair was a mess, bot from your fingers and his head moving against you as he laid into your neck. his hand gripped your calf, pulling it from his waist before holding it up in the air. " thought I was done with you? no baby.. gonna fuck this cunt till you cant even cum anymore." he said, watching you from below.
his thumb went right back to your clit, rubbing small circles that matched his pace. you were sure it was because you just had the strongest orgasm you've had in a bit, but you already felt tired and worn out. it could also be from all the blood Price had managed to draw from you. " c-cant take it." you cried, hands resting on his stomach in hopes to slow him down. but it only fueled him. seeing your poor attempts in stopping him, watching you run from him. " come on princess. take this dick like I know you can. making me so proud." he moaned, head falling back at the feeling of both your warmth and slick coating him.
the room sounded like pure filth, both you guys' moans, the sound of your slick, the skin slapping. it was hot, but also so much for you. it didnt take long for your second orgasm to follow your first one, this one more powerful than the last. " come on baby, cum for me. I know you want to." he smiled from above you, watching how his dick slid back into your cunt with ease and pull back out that much easier. your fingers gripped the ends of the couch cushions, your body jerking forward as another orgasm washed over your body. you chanted his name, legs shaking as you came down from it.
" p...please hold on." you cried out, feeling him continue to fuck into you. he shook his head, growling at you. " didnt I say im not stopping till this cunt cant cum anymore? now shut the fuck up and take it." he growled, his hand landing a slap across your face.
you had to admit, Price was beginning to scare you. it went from just being anxious to being a bit scared of him. he hadn't realized it tho, thinking the look on your expression was just from being so cock drunk. he loved it, watching your blood slide down your neck, pooling in your collar bone. his balls wet with your cum and slick. he felt too good to stop.
" gonna cum again. milking me so goddam good baby." he groaned, his head falling down. you though that this would be the end. that he'd be too tired to keep fucking you. and you were right, kinda.
he shot his last load into you, his body falling forward just a bit at the feeling. he chanted your name, telling you how good your pussy felt, how he wanted to stay in it forever. and when he slid out, you were shocked to immediately feel his fingers sliding in. your back arched, a cry slipping from you. " j-john please I cant" you cried, your legs arching. but he didnt stop. his fingers curled, hitting your g spot each time. his thumb found your clit again, rubbing it in small circles. " sounds so hot baby.. but I know you can. this is what happens to sluts. if you act like on im gonna treat you like one."
again, you began to spasm around his fingers, tears officially puling from your eyes as your stomach cramped up at yet another orgasm. to be honest, John hadn't realized how crazy he was going on you. he didnt know why you teasing him and jerking him off under the table was what set him off. maybe it was because he wanted to match your energy. but he had begun to take it to far when he again, slid his dick back inside your cunt. you were surprised he wasn't just as tired as you were or overstimulated. but he did just give himself a decent break.
" you look so fucked out baby.. are you tired?" he pouted, his hips moving slowly, giving you somewhat of a break. you nodded, wiping your watery eyes. finally, he was going to give you a break and maybe just stop all together. but no. all he did was lean back into your neck, leaving another hickey followed with a bite mark, ramming his hips back into yours. "John please" you cried, shaking your head, pressing your hands to his stomach and shoving him back.
his hand shoved yours off him, his other hand going to your neck. " I said take what I fucking give you, didnt I? stop fucking moving." at this point your pussy was sore, it hurt. you didnt even think you could cum anymore. and the grip on your throat was painful. tears fell from your eyes once you realized you had to use the now word he had promised neither of you would ever have to use. ever.
"s-strawberry.. please strawberry!" you sobbed, hands pressing onto his abdomen. at first he didnt think he heard you right. he slowed down, his face softening. "what?" he looked down at you, watching at the tears ran downpour face. he noticed, really noticed, the bite marks, the hickies covered with blood. he slid out immediately, sitting down and pulling your limp body onto his lap. " im so sorry.. im so so sorry." he whispered, pulling you into his arms.
but you couldnt stop crying. you didnt know if he was being genuine, if he found it hot. you were in the mindset that he was going to just flip you over and fuck you all over. but he didnt. he held you tight, whispering how sorry he was in your ear, how wrong he was for going so overboard. " i.. I broke a promise. and im so sorry my love. I should've listened to you." he said, pulling you off his chest. he wiped the tears from your eyes, his chest hurting as he looked at your red eyes. "please let me take care of you. for real." he said, taking your hand in his.
he stood, holding you in his arms and made his way to the bathroom. "im gonna set you on the toilet for a bit.." he said, sitting you gently. he started the bath before turning back to you, lifting your dress off you. when the bath was full, he helped you inside, watching you settle in. it was silent, kinda awkward. he didnt know what to say other than he was sorry. and he was. he'd never had to do this before, but he knew that he had to take care of you as best he could.
"look up for me princess." he said, cupping your chin softly. he grabbed the washcloth that hung on the rack, wetting it a bit before gently wiping your face. you eyes met his, giving you a small smile. " your so pretty." he mumbled, wiping your chin before dipping the washcloth back in the warm water. "thank you." you said softly, looking down. he continued to wipe your face before moving down to your neck. " this may hurt.. but I promise ill be as gentle as I can." he said before pressing the cloth to your neck.
you winced at the pain, squeezing your eyes shut. " im sorry my love.. just a bit more." he said softly, patting your skin softly. when it was done, he looked at the bloody cloth, sighing, shaking his head to himself. to say he was angry at himself or disappointed, that would be an understatement. he promised himself and you he'd never hurt you. " im so sorry my love.. I dont know what came over me." he said, head hanging low.
you reached over the tub and gripped his hand. " lets just watch movies and cuddle.. maybe even get some tea." you said, voice still hoarse from earlier. he didnt look at you at first, his eyes still stuck to the ground. but when you squeezed his hand again, he looked at you and nodded. " ill take care of you princess. dont you worry."
and he did. the rest of the night he was like your personal little maid. you needed to go pee? dont even think about using your legs, he'd carry you. you wanted the blanket? he'd tuck you in like a burrito. you got too hot? okay he'd take it off. he ordered your favorite food to the house since cooking was not his strong suit, ice cream on the side as well. he felt happy being able to take care of you like he told himself he would always do instead of hurting you.
when you were tired, you curled into his chest, snuggling into him. he looked down and smiled, his hand resting on top of your head. for the first time that night he had let himself cry. well not cry, but a few tears did drop. he was so grateful that you were as forgiving as you were. how even though he hurt you as bad as he did, you still felt safe in his arms, comfortable.
he kissed the top of your head, switched the tv off and laid back. " goodnight princess, I love you so much." he whispered before holding you in his arms, his grip on you never getting loose.
| this was pure fucking filth but like... I love this man so much I can help but right filthy filthy smut about him, also this was for @grqpegrqve |

Watch the Window
A more realistic end to the "Countdown" mission because you don't just 'recover' from gunshot wounds.
Soap has a terrible, horrible, very bad day.
Turns out Ghost is capable of emotion.
TW: blood, violence, graphic descriptions of injury, angst, anxiety, profanity, mention of surgery.
"Hassan had him by the leg, dragging him towards the massive windows. He was speaking, but all Soap could hear was the blood rushing in his ears".
The boxcutter was a clumsy tool, but it did the job. Pulling it from the man’s neck, he got to his feet and checked did a visual check of the room ahead of him. A spray of bullets peppered the concrete walls, several catching the back of Soap’s Kevlar vest. The force of it knocked him to his knees, forcing the air from his lungs. He turned just in time to see Hassan fire again, and this time, the rounds punched through his chest with a spray of blood.
He fell backwards, searing pain radiating from his left side as he blacked out.
Fuck.
Instinct took over; words drilled into him every course since basic: don’t panic. Control the breathing. Don’t panic.
The course staff never mentioned was how hard it is to not panic. Assholes.
He sucked in a few deep breaths. It fucking burned, but his vision came back, dark and hazy.
The blurry figure of Hassan slowly stalked towards him.
Dragging himself backwards with his right arm, he desperately searched for a weapon. There was none.
Don’t panic, don’t panic, don’t panic.
Hassan aim the rifle. Soap put up his left hand defensively—as if that would save him— but Hassan suddenly changed his mind, instead driving butt of the rifle drove into Soap’s temple. The pain was debilitating.
Everything went black.
Drifting somewhere between consciousness and oblivion, blurry shapes danced above him. Something was moving.
Oh.
It was him.
Hassan had him by the leg, dragging him towards the massive windows. He was speaking, but all Soap could hear was the blood rushing in his ears. He sucked in a wet, shallow breath, fluid seeping into his throat as he tried to think clearly.
He should fight.
Arms too heavy.
He should run.
Legs won’t work.
He should shout, scream—anything!
No one to hear.
A moment of clarity punched through the shock-induced haze.
Ghost.
Hassan dropped his leg and moved to one of the windowpanes, pulling something from his coat pocket.
IED.
Shaky hands moved to his comm, praying it still worked.
“Ghost…”. His voice rasped in the back of his throat, distorted by pooling blood
“Soap!”
Tears prickled in his eyes as relief bloomed in his chest.
“Watch the window--!”
Hassan stepped back towards him as the window blew out in a blinding flash of fire, shards of glass bouncing across the floor. Still shouting, he reached down and grabbed the shoulders of Soap’s tac-vest and dragged him to his feet. Pain ripped through his chest and the fluid shifted in his lungs. Vision swam. The scream died in his throat.
His feet scrabbled underneath him as Hassan hauled him towards the open window. They were at the edge now, darkness stretching out below them punctuated by blurry city lights. Shards of glass crunching beneath his feet as Hassan held him over the ruined windowsill, and his stomach churned as he felt his heels rock back into nothingness.
He’d seen this before. He’d been here before. A dream of a dream; free-fall and agony. Lungs full of blood and ears full of wind. Panic was flooding his chest again, breaths coming hard and fast, shallow gasps that fought to pull oxygen into collapsing lungs.
Hassan’s grip on his shoulder straps eased, and his stomach dropped as he felt himself rock backwards.
The kiss of a bullet snapped by Soap’s ear, followed quickly by the tell-tale crack of a high-calibre rifle. Hassan fell backwards, dead, and Soap dropped to the floor.
Relief screamed through his body as cool concrete pressed up against his palms. He vomited immediately, and then dragged in a ragged breath, shaking hands reaching back up to his comm.
“Perfect shot, Lt”.
“You called it, Sgt”.
The comm went dead and Soap let out a choked sob as he fell forward, desperately dragging himself away from open window. He was hyperventilating now.
You’re alive, you’re alive, you’re alive…
His right arm gave out and he rolled onto his back with a shuddering groan. There was chatter on the comms, but he couldn’t parse out the words.
Pain was overtaken by the creeping chill of shock.
Vision was next to go, followed closely by consciousness.
His body went slack, and the world went black.
Ghost sprinted across the street, weaving between cars to get to the half-finished office building opposite his sniper’s perch.
“Price! Soap’s down!”
“Copy that”.
Laswell’s American contacts were swarming the bottom of the building, a mix of SWAT, EMTs, and FBI. Ghost could hear Price’s voice on the comms coordinating with Laswell as he pushed through the mass people, desperate to get into the building.
Angry shouts followed him, and he spat angry curses over his shoulder.
By some miracle the service elevator was still functional, and he ran it all the way to the 30th storey, unsure exactly which floor Soap had been on. A slew of bodies confirmed that he’d gone through the level. Ghost sloppily cleared the floor, then checked the East windows. They were all intact, so he moved to the next floor and did the same.
Fear knotted in his stomach, but he refused to acknowledge it.
Fear makes mistakes.
He cleared five floors before finally finding the blown-out window—and Soap.
Ghost grabbed his comm as he ran to the body of his Sgt, sliding down beside him.
“I’m with Soap! We’re on the 35th floor”
“How is he?”
Ghost stared down at the broken body in front of him, hands shaking. There was blood—so much blood.
Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck!
Pressing a hand to Soap’s neck, Ghost clumsily searched for a pulse. One excruciating moment later, Ghost felt the weak flutter against his fingertips.
He let out a shaky sob breath and got back on the comm.
“He’s alive, but it’s bad!”
“Copy. Sending a med team to you now”.
“Tell them to haul fucking ass!” Ghost shouted, cradling Soap’s head as he checked him over.
From what he could tell, he’d taken several rounds to the left side of his chest, where the Kevlar cut out to allow for full range of motion. Grabbing a pressure bandage from his tac-vest, he ripped through the packaging and pressed it down on the bloody holes in Soap’s side, grateful that he was unconscious; combat medicine hurts like a bitch.
Ghost had no idea how long it took for the medics to reach them, but by the time a pair of blue medical gloves reached in to take over, the bandage was soaked and his hands were slick with blood. The medics moved Soap to a stretcher and carried him back to the service elevator, before disappearing from view.
Ghost stood in the empty level, dragging in heavy, ragged breaths as he wiped shaky hands on the rough fabric of his pants.
He took the stairs down.
Soap was in surgery for 5 hours. Ghost spent that time writing his after-action report and prepping for the debrief, avoiding the anxiety attack that waited for him on the other side of the inevitable adrenaline crash.
It happened every time he lost soldiers—a devastating torrent of emotion that sent him spiralling into the darkest parts of himself. It was unpredictable and uncontrollable—sometimes violent, sometimes loud, sometimes silent, sometimes an hour, sometimes days, always hellish.
He preferred to do it in private.
Five hours later, the reports were done and Soap was lying unconscious in an ICU bed, the noises of the medical ward buzzing quietly in the background. Ghost leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed and jaw clenched tight.
The adrenaline had burned off.
Pushing off the doorframe, he jammed his hands in his pockets and stalked down the hallway, darkness rising in his chest.

Book recs: black science fiction
As february and black history month nears its end, if you're a reader let's not forget to read and appreciate books by black authors the rest of the year as well! If you're a sci-fi fan like me, perhaps this list can help find some good books to sink your teeth into.
Bleak dystopias, high tech space adventures, alien monsters, alternate dimensions, mash-ups of sci-fi and fantasy - this list features a little bit of everything for genre fiction fans!
For more details on the books, continue under the readmore. Titles marked with * are my personal favorites. And as always, feel free to share your own recs in the notes!
If you want more book recs, check out my masterpost of rec lists!
Lagoon by Nnedi Okorafor
Something massive and alien crashes into the ocean off the coast of Nigeria. Three people, a marine biologist, a rapper, and a soldier, find themselves at the center of this presence, attempting to shepherd an alien ambassador as chaos spreads in the city. A strange novel that mixes the supernatural with the alien, shifts between many different POVs, and gives a one of a kind look at a possible first contact.
Nubia: The Awakening (Nubia series) by Omar Epps & Clarence A. Hayes
Young adult. Three teens living in the slums of an enviromentally ravaged New York find that something powerful is awakening within them. They’re all children of refugees of Nubia, a utopian African island nation that sank as the climate worsened, and realize now that their parents have been hiding aspects of their heritage from them. But as they come into their own, someone seeks to use their abilities to his own ends, against their own people.
The Scourge Between Stars by Ness Brown
Novella. After having failed at establishing a new colony, starship Calypso fights to make it back to Earth. Acting captain Jacklyn Albright is already struggling against the threats of interstellar space and impending starvation when the ship throws her a new danger: something is hiding on the ship, picking off her crew one by one in bloody, gruesome ways. A quick, excellent read if you want some good Alien vibes.
Dawn (Xenogenesis trilogy) by Octavia E. Butler*
After a devestating war leaves humanity on the brink of extinction, survivor Lilith finds herself waking up naked and alone in a strange room. She’s been rescued by the Oankali, who have arrived just in time to save the human race. But there’s a price to survival, and it might be humanity itself. Absolutely fucked up I love it I once had to drop the book mid read to stare at the ceiling and exclaim in horror at what was going on. Includes darker examinations of agency and consent, so enter with caution.
Midnight Robber by Nalo Hopkinson*
Utterly unique in world-building, story, and prose, Midnight Robber follows young Tan-Tan and her father, inhabitants of the Carribean-colonized planet of Toussaint. When her father commits a terrible crime, he’s exiled to a parallel version of the same planet, home to strange aliens and other human exiles. Tan-Tan, not wanting to lose her father, follows with him. Trapped on this new planet, he becomes her worst nightmare. Enter this book with caution, as it contains graphic child sexual abuse.

Do You Dream of Terra-Two? by Temi Oh
Young adult. A century ago, an astronomer discovered a possibly Earth-like planet. Now, a team of veteran astronauts and carefully chosen teenagers are preparing to embark on a twenty-three year trip to get there. But space is dangerous, and the team has no one to rely on but each other if - or when - something goes wrong. An introspective slowburn of a story, this focuses more on character work than action.
The Best of All Possible Worlds by Karen Lord
After the planet Sadira is left uninhabitable, its few survivors are forced to move to a new world. On Cygnus Beta, they work to rebuild their society alongside their distant relatives of the planet, while trying to preserve what remains of their culture. Focused less on hard science or action, The Best of All Possible Worlds is more about culture, romance and the ethics and practicalities of telepathy.

Young adult. Eighteen-year-old Amani lives on an isolated moon under the oppressive occupation of the Valthek empire. When Amani is abducted, she finds herself someplace wholly unexpected: the royal palace. If Amani ever wants to make it back home or see her people freed from oppression, she will have to play her role as princess perfectly. While sci-fi, this one more has the vibe of a fantasy.
An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon

The ship’s leaders have imposed harsh restrictions on their darker skinned people, using them as an oppressed work force as they travel toward their supposed Promised Land. Meanwhile, voices start to whisper in Lileala's mind, bringing to the surface a past long forgotten involving her entire society.
Eacaping Exodus (Escaping Exodus duology) by Nicky Drayden
Seske is the heir to the leader of a clan living inside a gigantic, spacefaring beast, of which they frequently need to catch a new one to reside in as their presence slowly kills the beast from the inside. While I found the ending rushed with regards to plot and character, the worldbuilding is very fresh and the overall plot of survival and class struggle an interesting one. It’s also sapphic!
Chain-Gang All-Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah*
In a near future America, inmates on death row or with life sentences in private prisons can choose to participate in death matches for entertainment. If they survive long enough - a rare case indeed - they regain their freedom. As the game continues to be stacked against them and protests mount outside, two women fight for love, freedom, and their own humanity. Chain-Gang All-Stars is bleak and unflinching as well as genuinely hopeful in its portrayal of a dark but all to real possible future.
Parable of the Sower (Earthseed duology) by Octavia E. Butler*
In a bleak future, Lauren Olamina lives with her family in a gated community, one of few still safe places in a time of chaos. When her community falls, Lauren is forced on the run. As she makes her way toward possible safety, she picks up a following of other refugees, and sows the seeds of a new ideology which may one day be the saviour of mankind. Very bleak and scarily realistic, Parable of the Sower will make you both fear for mankind and regain your hope for humanity.
Binti (Binti trilogy) by Nnedi Okorafor
Young adult novella. Binti is the first of the Himba people to be accepted into the prestigious Oomza University, the finest place of higher learning in all the galaxy. But as she embarks on her interstellar journey, the unthinkable happens: her ship is attacked by the terrifying Meduse, an alien race at war with Oomza University.
War Girls (War Girls duology) by Tochi Onyebuchi
In an enviromentally fraught future, the Nigerian civil war has flared back up, utilizing cybernetics and mechs to enhance its soldiers. Two sisters, by bond if not by blood, are separated and end up on differing sides of the struggle. Brutal and dark, with themes of dehumanization of soldiers through cybernetics that turn them into weapons, and the effect and trauma this has on them.
The Space Between Worlds (The Space Between Worlds duology) by Micaiah Johnson
Multiverse travel is finally possible, but there’s a catch: No one can visit a world where their counterpart is still alive. Enter Cara, whose parallel selves happen to be exceptionally good at dying. As such she has a very special job in traveling to these worlds, hoping to keep her position long enough to gain citizenship in the walled-off Wiley City, away from the wastes where she grew up. But her job is dangerous, especially when she gets on the tracks of a secret that threatens the entire multiverse. Really cool worldbuilding and characters, also featuring a sapphic lead!
The Fifth Season (The Broken Eart trilogy) by N.K. Jemisin*
In a world regularly torn apart by natural disasters, a big one finally strikes and society as we know it falls, leaving people floundering to survive in a post apocalyptic world, its secrets and past to be slowly revealed. We get to follow a mother as she races through this world to find and save her missing daughter. While mostly fantasy in genre, this series does have some sci-fi flavor, and is genuinely some of the best books I've ever read, please read them.
The Women Could Fly by Megan Giddings*
In an alternate version of our present, the witch hunt never ended. Women are constantly watched and expected to marry young so their husbands can keep an eye on them. When she was fourteen, Josephine's mother disappeared, leveling suspicions at both mother and daughter of possible witchcraft. Now, nearly a decade and a half later, Jo, in trying to finally accept her missing mother as dead, decides to follow up on a set of seemingly nonsensical instructions left in her will. Features a bisexual lead!
The Prey of Gods by Nicky Drayden
South African-set scifi featuring gods ancient and new, robots finding sentience, dik-diks, and a gay teen with mind control abilities. An ancient goddess seeks to return to her true power no matter how many humans she has to sacrifice to get there. A little bit all over the place but very creative and fresh.
The Summer Prince by Alaya Dawn Johnson*
Young adult. Young artist June Costa lives in Palmares Tres, a beautiful, matriarchal city relying heavily on tradition, one of which is the Summer King. The most recent Summer King is Enki, a bold boy and fellow artist. With him at her side, June seeks to finally find fame and recognition through her art, breaking through the generational divide of her home. But growing close to Enki is dangerous, because he, like all Summer Kings, is destined to die.
The Blood Trials (The Blood Gifted duology) by N.E. Davenport

Seeking to uncover his killer, Ikenna enrolls in a dangerous trial to join the Praetorians which only a quarter of applicants survive. For Ikenna, the stakes are even higher, as she's hiding forbidden blood magic which could cost her her life. Mix of fantasy and sci-fi. While I didn’t super vibe with this one, I suspect fans of action packed romantasy will enjoy it.
Babel-17 by Samuel R. Delany
1960s classic. Rydra Wong is a space captain, linguist and poet who is set on learning to understand Babel-17, a language which is humanity's only clue at the enemy in an interstaller war. But Babel-17 is more than just a language, and studying it may change Rydra forever.
Pet (Pet duology) by Akwaeke Emezi
Young adult novella. Jam lives in a utopian future that has been freed of monsters and the systems which created and upheld them. But then she meets Pet, a dangerous creature claiming to be hunting a monster still among them, prepared to stop at nothing to find them. While I personally found the word-building in Pet lacking, it deftly handles dark subjects of what makes a human a monster.
Bonus AKA I haven’t read these yet but they seem really cool
Lion's Blood by Steven Barnes
Alternate history in which Africans colonized South America while vikings colonized the North. The vikings sell abducted Celts and Franks as slaves to the South, one of which is eleven-years-old Irish boy Aidan O'Dere, who was just bought by a Southern plantation owner.

OMG THE SMUT 🫠😩
John gave her a sweater too 🤭🤭🤭
And we're making headway with being comfortable around everyone. I fucking love this series so much. Genuine artistry
Cherry Red, Crimson Blood
Chapter 6: One Step Closer
Summary: You're all trying to adjust to the changes happening between you and the members of your pack.
Pairings: Poly 141 x reader, some Price x Gaz
Warnings: NSFW, 18+, suggestive content, handjobs, Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics, Alternate Universe, a/b/o typical classism and sexism, military inaccuracies, language
A/N: I'm not entirely happy with this one and might come back when I feel better and do some changes, but for now, it's fine. Mostly just a filler chapter more than anything. Some sweet moments, some maybe steamy...Building up for some more exciting things coming in the next parts. Also I just wanted to clear something up, pretty much everyone in this universe is at least a little bisexual. That will make sense once you read the chapter.

He curses the click of the door as it opens, making sure to go slowly so it doesn’t squeak as it’s prone to when it rains. His lips turn up in a smile as he catches a glimpse at the sight on the couch, no more than half a moment before Price’s honed senses cause him to wake at the change in atmosphere.
He blinks tired eyes at Gaz, head lifting from where it had drooped to his chest in his sleep. He adjusts his hold on you, still asleep and unaware in the safety of your alpha’s arms.
“Sleeping in your office again, sir?” Gaz says quietly, stepping closer to the couch.
Price grunts quietly, shifting his hold on you so he can lift a hand to rub at his eyes. His voice is thick and gravelly with sleep as he answers. “Didn’t mean to.”
Gaz hums, running a hand through Price’s hair as the air between them changes from Captain and Sergeant to alpha and beta. “Should get you both to bed.”
“You take her.” Price murmurs. “She’ll forgive you easier for invading her space.”
Gaz knows he’s right. He’d already been invited in once. His scent in your space would be less jarring than Price’s. Price carefully unravels your arms from around his neck, letting Gaz slip his arms under you to lift you off his lap. You stir slightly at the movement, letting out a quiet grumble.
“Shh pretty girl.” Gaz shushes you, letting your head rest against his shoulder. “Just taking you to bed.”
Price follows behind him as he carries you through the halls to your room. You’re asleep by the time he reaches your door, Price opening it for him. Gaz slips in, carrying you to your bed. He makes sure you’re comfortable, tucking the blanket around you before leaning down to kiss your forehead.
He spares one last glance at you fast asleep before he closes the door, turning to Price. “Your turn.”
“You gonna carry me too?” Price asks, a playful glint shining in his eyes despite the obvious exhaustion.
Gaz huffs out a laugh. “You wish.” He puts a hand on his back, guiding Price down to his door, closest to the entry to the barracks.
He follows the alpha into his space, meticulously clean and tidy as usual. They both blink against the harsh overhead light, Gaz leaning against the door as Price begins emptying his pockets, getting settled in his space.
“She knelt for me tonight.” Price says as he sits at his desk to unlace his boots.
“She’s making headway.” Gaz replies, surprised that you asked to kneel so soon. He knows how meaningful kneeling is to both alpha and omega, how intense it can be, how much trust there is involved.
Price hums, standing to remove his pants. “I fear Laswell was right. She’s turning out to be a good fit.”
“She’s already got Simon worked up.” Gaz smiles, moving to the dresser to fish out clean sleep clothes. “I fear she may be taking a page out of Johnny’s book.”
“Well, if it gets him to stop torturing himself, then I can’t say I’ll complain.” Price says, pulling his shirt over his head. “You know how he is.”
“I know.” Gaz says, holding out the clean shirt and sweatpants. “Can’t say I blame him entirely. Not after what he’s been through.”
Price slips on the clean clothes, stepping closer to Gaz. “He’ll warm up to our girl eventually.”
“‘Our girl?’” Gaz’s eyebrows lift as Price steps in even closer, their noses brushing. “That’s quite the jump.”
“She’s been our girl from the start. As soon as those papers were finalized, there was no sending her back.” Price says, pressing a kiss to the corner of Gaz’s lips. “I wouldn’t put her through that. Not after everything.”
Gaz pulls back, Staring at Price’s face. “You know something.”
“I wouldn’t say I know anything, but I have my suspicions.” He moves past Gaz, turning off the overhead light. “I know we all do.”
“You think she’ll tell us?”
“I think she will, with time. I don’t want to push her into too much too soon.” He pats Gaz on the ass. “Come on, in bed.”
“Sir, yes sir.” Gaz smirks, Price giving him a look as the beta pulls down the covers, crawling into the bed.
Price groans internally, trying to calm the twitch in his pants at the mental picture of you, those big puppy eyes shining playfully as you saluted him. The small spark of excitement every time you call him “sir.” How easily you relaxed for him while you knelt, giving over complete trust and control to him for an hour.
He crawls under the covers, tossing an arm over Gaz, trying to block out all the mental images flashing through his head.
“Forget something in your pocket, sir?” Gaz says, the smirk evident in his voice.
“Shut it, Garrick.”
You’re jarred awake by the sound of movement in the hallway. You let out a quiet noise of indignation, letting your eyes close again. It’s too early, around the time the boys leave to go workout. You’ve been graciously given a couple days off to rest and recover, likely Price’s recommendation. You knew if it were up to Ghost, he’d force you to work through the pain. You’re glad for the break, though, and you would be even if you weren’t horribly sore.
Your head is still spinning a bit from last night. You’re not quite sure how you made it to bed, but the faint scent of clean linen and the sea gives you an idea. You bury your face in your pillow, letting out a groan. You knelt for Price last night. You opened yourself up to that vulnerability, and he had graciously guided and supported you through it. He didn’t scruff you, even though he could have, nor was there any demand for control in his grasp, he could have easily taken it.
He’d been a good alpha, helping you relax and destress. You feel lighter for the first time in weeks, since you found out where you were going and who your new pack was going to be. You feel lighter than you have in your entire time on this base, though that could just be the endorphins still flowing a bit from kneeling for your alpha.
It’ll be easier to come down from it once you’re bonded, you know that. Once there’s that connection between you, and you’re around him all the time. You’ll be moving into his room, or at least you’ll spend most of your time in there. You’ll sleep in his bed with him. You wonder if he’s a cuddler, or if he prefers personal space. Would Gaz join you sometimes? You can practically feel the warmth of being sandwiched between them, battle hardened hands trailing along your bare body because you’ll be naked and well bonded with both of them.
You bury your burning face in your pillow letting out a muffled, quiet scream at the thoughts your mind is conjuring. You feel hot, warmth pooling in your stomach. There’s no going back to sleep now, you know that.
You get up, rushing to the bathroom to splash cold water on your face and erase the thoughts in your head. It’s entirely natural, having these thoughts. You will get to that place, very soon, with Price. The others could pursue that sort of relationship with you as well, if they wanted to. It will likely happen naturally with Gaz, given his bond with Price, and after your kiss with Soap...
You’re not sure if it would happen with Ghost, or if he would allow it. You can’t help but think about yesterday, how easily he had overpowered you with just his scent. You had been scared, as it was your nature to be when an alpha was posing a direct threat to you, but the way he had looked hovering over you, the feeling of him pressed against you when he’d pinned you to the floor. How easily he got you into that position. A shiver runs down your spine at the thought of him pinning you down like that, or better, pinning you against Soap, his hand on the back of your neck.
You splash cold water on your face, holding your breath until your lower body stops pulsing in time with your heart. You let out a quiet curse, focusing on getting ready for the day before grabbing your book and heading for the rec room to try and calm yourself.
“You’re up early, love.”
You jump at the voice, lowering your book as you look up from your spot stretched out on the couch. Gaz is standing there, skin dewy with sweat. They must have just returned from their morning workout, heading in to shower and get ready for the day. Gaz must have noticed your scent and followed it.
“Couldn’t get back to sleep.” You explain as he moves closer to the couch. “Gaz!” You shriek as he crawls over you, dropping his body on top of yours. “You’re all sweaty!”
“You can shower later.” He says, resting his face against your chest, his elbows pressed into the cushions so he’s not completely squishing you with his weight.
“You should be showering now.” You say, trying not to breathe in too much of his scent. It’s heavily tainted with the scent of sweat and musk.
“Then we can shower together.” He murmurs, nuzzling his face further into your chest.
Your face warms, your heart rate picking up at his teasing. The thought of being enclosed in the shower with him, such a small space, packed in together. Skin to skin, bare before each other. You might implode beneath him, warmth beginning to travel down your spine after your thoughts earlier.
“Relax.” He murmurs with a grin, obviously picking up the quickening of your heart rate and the change in your scent. “I’m teasing.”
He’s just as bad as Soap, but not quite as blatant with it. While Soap would tease at any open opportunity, Gaz tended to choose his moments wisely, slipping some teasing remark in when you least expected it.
Gaz goes quiet as he lays there, his breathing steady. You mark your page before reaching up to set the book on the arm of the couch. You can’t help yourself as you run your fingers through his short cropped, damp curls, gently scratching at his scalp. He makes a quiet noise, his body getting heavier.
“Gaz?” You murmur, earning a grunt in response. “Are you falling asleep?”
“Can’t help it.” He murmurs. “So comfy.”
Your cheeks warm as he nuzzles into your chest, letting out a content sigh. You fight the urge to release one of your own, feeling warm and content even pressed against the lumpy cushions of the couch. How easy it is to find comfort even in the most uncomfortable places.
It doesn’t have to be uncomfortable.
Your heart rate kicks up again, hand stilling where it had been scratching Gaz’s scalp. You’re allowed to want. You asked yesterday and nothing bad happened.
“Gaz?” You murmur, trying to fight the nervous twisting of your stomach. “Would you...if I wanted something, would you get it for me, even if it’s stupid?”
Gaz shifts on top of you, knees pressing into the couch as he pushes himself higher so you’re face to face. One of his legs is between yours, holding him up so he doesn’t squish you under his weight.
He stares down at you, blinking the haze of sleep from his dark eyes. “Babygirl, I’d take over the world for you if that’s what you wanted.”
Your lips part in surprise at his answer. You’re not entirely sure he’s allowed to say something like that, even as a joke. The sentiment of it is not lost on you, and you find tears prickling the backs of your eyes.
His arms shift beneath you, thumbs brushing your cheeks. “Tell me what you want.”
You stare up into those big, sweet, dark eyes. Gaz radiates a kindness and calmness like you haven’t felt in a long time. Not that the others aren’t kind, even in Ghost and his aggressiveness, you’ve felt the protective drive within him. It wasn’t based on any claim or sense of ownership, even a sense of duty couldn’t bring forward that kind of reaction. But Gaz...there’s just something so soft and gentle despite the danger he could pose.
“Kiss me.” You blurt out, realizing you’ve been staring for far too long.
Gaz stares down at you, a grin slowly spreading on his lips. “Just that? Here I thought you were gonna say something impossible like world domination.”
“Well, if you’re offering...” You shrug.
He chuckles, shaking his head. “Probably shouldn’t be making those jokes.” He leans down closer. “Though, if you asked nicely...”
You let out a quiet sound as his lips press against yours. They’re just as soft as they look, pressing against yours so gently and softly. Your arms lift to his shoulders, curling into the fabric of his shirt. He coaxes your lips to move with his, copying his movements as he tilts his head slightly.
Warmth blooms beneath your skin as he kisses you, your head spinning. His scent invades your nose, seeping into your very being. You want to curl up in it, let it surround you like a warm blanket. You catch the whiff of something deeper, the scent of damp earth. Price. You have a sudden urge to pull his shirt collar to the side, to stare at the mark that decorates his scent gland at the base of his throat, a mirror of the one you’ll carry in a few short weeks.
“Ye didnae tell me ye were startin’ a cuddle pile!”
An excited voice causes you both to separate, Gaz barely managing to lift himself up enough so that you don’t get squished when Soap practically jumps on his back.
“Bloody hell, mate,” Gaz grunts. “Tryna squish our poor omega?”
The weight above you shifts before Soap’s head appears over Gaz’s shoulder, a wide grin on his face. “Mornin’ hen!”
“For someone so small, you weigh a ton.” Gaz says with a strain to his voice as sweat breaks out across his forehead from keeping his weight and Soap's off of you.
“I'm no that small.” Soap says, an offended tone to his voice as he goes limp on top of Gaz.
You can't help but giggle at their antics, especially as Gaz pushes himself up to a kneeling position, nearly sending Soap rolling to the floor. Your face is warm from your giggling as they both stand, playfully pushing each other.
“Alright, enough you two.” Price's voice cuts through their playful arguing, amusement shining in his eyes as he leans on the doorframe. “Almost time for breakfast.”
“Come on.” Gaz says, taking your hands and helping you up. “Let's get some pancakes in you before you turn into one.”
“You should try courting her.” Kyle says, scrolling through his phone as he lounges on John's bed. “Like old-fashioned courting.”
“What are you on about?” John grumbles, drying his face with a towel.
“Our little omega. You should try courting her.” Kyle repeats, looking over his phone at John.
John tosses his towel into his hamper before approaching the bed. Kyle lets his eyes rake over his form, his strong arms and soft stomach, thick, strong thighs and the prominent bulge at the front of his briefs.
“It would be worth a try.” Kyle continues, letting John pull the phone from his hands. “Omegas love that shit.”
“And what prompted this thought?” John asks, laying down on his side next to Kyle, pulling the younger man closer.
“She's getting all worked up by us now.” He says, biting back a groan as John trails a hand over his side. “She's kissed Soap and I so far. Got all worked up when I teased her about showering together this morning.” His hand trails through John's short hair as John licks at his throat. “I think she'd enjoy a little attention from her alpha.”
“What do you have in mind?” John murmurs before sinking his teeth into the soft skin of Kyle's throat.
Kyle shrugs, letting out a gasp as John bites at his throat. “Take her out for dinner? Buy her some things for her room? Give in to those alpha cravings a bit.”
John lets out a low growl, pinning Kyle on the bed beneath him. Kyle's lips lift in a smirk, fingers lifting to run through John's beard. His thumb drags across John's lower lip, gaze soft as he stares up at the alpha.
“You won't ruin anything by doing it. There's only so much time until her heat. If I were an alpha, I'd want her to be as comfortable as possible before then. Makes the shift into bonded pack life much easier.” Kyle says.
John leans down until their noses brush, groaning softly as Kyle digs his fingers into his shoulders. He knows Kyle is right. He should make an effort with you, at least try to ensure you're as comfortable around him as possible before he claims you. Most alphas wouldn't have waited for the first heat, wouldn't have even waited a week before claiming, before taking their omega to bed. He doesn't want to be like those alphas. He doesn't want to force you into more than you already have been, more than you will be.
He wants things to happen as naturally as possible, but that doesn't mean he can't try.
Kyle leans up, closing the distance between them and kissing him. He presses his beta back into the mattress, nipping harshly at his lips. Their tongues tangle together, tasting like peppermint toothpaste and something distinctly alpha and beta.
John presses his body closer to Kyle's groaning as his half hard cock drags against Kyle's. Kyle moans into his mouth as John begins grinding against him. Their bodies move together, a familiar dance they've both memorized the steps to.
John groans as Kyle's fingers trail down his back, blunt nails biting into the skin. Breathy moans slip from kiss-bruised plump lips as John kisses down Kyle's throat. Calloused fingers slip under the waistband of John's briefs, teasing the soft supple skin beneath. John grinds down against him harder, dragging his leaking cock against Kyle's twitching one.
“Fuck, Cap.” Kyle groans, bucking up against his alpha. “Lemme feel you.”
John wraps his arms around Kyle, flipping them over so he's on top. Kyle makes quick work of his boxers, tugging John's briefs down roughly. He groans, licking his lips at the sight of his alpha's leaking cock.
“Like what you see, pup?” John asks, lips lifting in a smirk.
“Fuck yes.” Kyle breathes, settling himself on John's thighs.
He leans down, wrapping a hand around both his and John's cocks. John groans as Kyle begins stroking them both, his cock twitching as more precum slips from his tip. He's close, the pent up frustrations from the last couple days along with the tantalizing scent of omega driving him to near insanity.
He feels like he might pop a knot as Kyle picks up the pace, one hand braced against his chest, his hips rocking in short thrusts. His head falls back as his orgasm slams into him, hit cum spurting across his stomach. Kyle groans loudly, frantically pumping his own cock as he reaches his peak, spurting his spend across his alpha's stomach too.
“Made quite the mess, Sergeant.” John says, trailing his fingers through the mix of cum on his stomach.
“Would you like me to clean it up, sir?” Kyle smirks, opening his mouth to allow John's fingers to push in.
His tongue swirls around his thick fingers, lapping them clean. Kyle shifts on top of him, bending down and trailing his tongue across John's stomach, licking up their mess.
“Good boy.” John hums, gently cradling the back of Kyle's neck.
The sky is dark as you make your way from your room. Gaz and Price are nowhere to be found, your cheeks warming at the thought of where they could be and what they could be up to. You take a breath to steady yourself, and your scent, before you head into the rec room. Soap and Ghost are there, Soap on the opposite end of the couch as usual, and Ghost in the chair next to the couch that faces the door.
He sees you first, his shoulders squaring just a bit. Soap turns to the doorway, a typical grin splitting his face when he sees you. It’s been a while since you’ve seen anyone be happy to see you, and you can’t deny that Soap’s joy is a bit contagious. He’s like an excited puppy. You can imagine if he had a tail, it would be wagging non-stop.
“Come tae join us, hen?” He asks, holding out a hand.
Ghost’s eyes are sharp as they stare at you, the silent warning not lost. You’re infringing on their space, infringing on his protective circle around his beta. You’re pushing a boundary and that could be dangerous.
It could be.
You move forward, taking Soap’s hand, letting him tug you down next to him on the couch. You ignore the eyes burning into you, boring holes into your skin as you settle in as close to Soap as you can. You almost smile in victory as Soap drapes his arm across the back of the couch, your attention turning to whatever is playing on the TV.
Ghost and Soap continue their conversation, Soap's fingers brushing your arm every so often. You can feel every time Ghost's burning gaze turns to you, every time he glowers at you for being so close to his beta. You can't help but wonder what's going through his mind, what he's thinking, what he's imagining.
You'll pay for this later.
You can only imagine how he'll punish you in your training for boldly breaching such an obvious boundary.
Soap doesn't seem to notice, or perhaps he simply doesn't care. It's not like you're not allowed to be close to Soap. As a member of your new pack, he had every right to pursue a bond with you if he wanted, regardless of how Ghost felt. Even though they're bonded, Soap is still his own person.
It's almost ironic.
You're starting to feel the exhaustion of your early morning as the night drags on, your head getting heavier and heavier. Ghost's need to glower at you has lessened a bit, his eyes only on you whenever you shift or move. Your head has drooped onto Soap's shoulder, an idea forming in your mind. You're sure it's the exhaustion making you so bold, or perhaps your new belief that the only way you'll even stand a chance at getting through to Ghost is to push those boundaries and stand up to him.
You lift your head, shifting your body until you're laying on the couch, resting your head on Soap's thigh. You watch Ghost's hands curl into fists where they rest on his lap, his eyes burning through your head as you make yourself comfortable. Soap's hand sinks into your hair, massaging your scalp as you lay there, your lips curling into a content smile.
You know it has to be eating at him just a little. A content beta and a preening omega, an image of what he could have if he simply got over whatever is keeping him from accepting you.
“Tired, lass?” Soap's gentle voice pulls you from your thoughts. Your mind had started to doze a bit, trailing off with your thoughts.
You make a quiet noise in agreement, nuzzling against his thigh.
“Let's get ye tae bed.” He says, squeezing your arm.
You're not expecting Ghost to follow as Soap leads you from the rec room, your fingers entwined with his. Even in your tired state you can feel the icy stare at your back, the looming presence of the alpha behind you as Soap walks you to your door.
“Night, hen.” Soap murmurs softly.
You're sure it's the exhaustion making you delirious as you stand on your toes, pressing your lips to his in a soft kiss. Soap hums against your lips, bending down to follow you as you go to pull away. You ignore the tickling at the back of your neck as he presses another kiss to your lips, your hand reaching for your doorknob and the security of your room.
“Night, Soap.” You murmur, slipping into your room before Ghost makes a rash decision.
You're going to regret it later, but you certainly don't at this moment.
The fabric isn’t as soft as it used to be. It’s been worn too much, washed too many times. You’ve stitched the ripped seam back together, a bit sloppy but you can hardly tell thanks to the luck of finding thread the same color as the sweatshirt. You hold it in your hands, staring at the frayed edges, the loose strings. Well loved, some might call it. Garbage, others might think.
“Finally fixing the holes?”
The voice cutting through the silence makes you jump, your head whipping around to the door. Price is standing there, leaning against the doorframe.
“Sorry, sweetheart. Didn’t mean to startle you.” He says.
“It’s alright, sir.” You say, calming your racing heart. You hadn’t even heard him approach. “I thought you were all at training.”
“I had a call I had to take.” He says, entering the room now that you’ve calmed. “Was heading back out when I caught a whiff of your scent.” He lowers himself onto the couch with a quiet groan, staring softly at you.
“I know it’s stupid, holding onto it when I could just ask for a new one.” You say, staring down at the sweatshirt in your hands.
“But it’s more than just a sweatshirt.” He says, tone soft and understanding.
You sink your teeth into your lip, fingers curling into the fabric in your hands. “One of the omegas at the institute gave it to me.” You say, holding the sweatshirt to your chest. “We were the same age so we were grouped together a lot and we got really close. She gave it to me when we reached selection age, since we both knew we were likely to get chosen fast and she wanted to give me something to remember her by. It’s a good thing she did too, because she did get chosen almost immediately.” You let out a quiet laugh, blinking back tears. “I’ve held on to it ever since. It doesn't even smell like her anymore. Hasn’t for a long time.”
Price is quiet for a few moments, his eyes on your face. You can’t look at him, your gaze on the sweatshirt in your lap. “You loved her.” He finally says, his tone not accusing or even disgusted.
It’s understanding. Knowing.
You take a shaky breath, hands closing into nervous fists around the sweatshirt. “Institutes try everything they can to prevent omegas from bonding with each other. Makes it too hard to separate us once we come of age. Alphas don’t want a distressed, unhappy omega, they’re expecting an eager, willing addition to their pack. It’s hard though, when you spend literal years together experiencing the same thing to not form bonds with each other.”
Price huffs quietly. “My grandfather used to tell me about the traditional pack boom after World War 2. When militaries across the world began to forbid bonding and pack formation within ranks. They were spending more time and money on preventing it from happening than anything else. It didn’t take them long to realize it was easier to allow the organic bonds to form. It made soldiers stronger, gave them purpose. It’s easier to look away than to fight what nature intends sometimes.” He smiles at you, stretching his arm across the back of the couch. “We are the last people that will judge you for it.”
You know that. You've known that from the start. The way their scents mingle, their bonds. They're a bonded pack for a reason.
“She never knew. Or, I never told her. I don't know where she ended up or where she is now.” You shrug, letting out a sardonic huff. “It's a lonely existence sometimes, being an omega.”
“I can only imagine.” Price says, giving you a sad smile.
“I suppose I should just get rid of it.” You say, staring at the sweatshirt. “No use holding onto something that could have never been.”
Price squeezes your shoulder gently. “Wait here.”
He gets up, leaving you alone in the rec room. You wait patiently for him to return, growing a bit nervous. What was he doing? Was he telling someone about your confession? Was he going to send you back because of it? You know your worries are unwarranted, but you can't stop them.
He returns a few moments later, a sweatshirt in his hands. “Here.” He says, holding it out to you. “They're standard issue, but I've never been one for sweatshirts. It's just been sitting in my closet.”
You take the sweatshirt, soft and new in your hands. It hardly smells like him, only the light residual scent from being in his room. “Thank you, sir.” You say, rubbing the fabric against your cheek.
He nods at your old sweatshirt. “This way you can save that one, and start picking this one apart.”
Your face warms at his cheeky comment, your head turning down bashfully. “It means a lot, sir. Really.”
“You'll get better use of it than I did.” He glances at his watch. “I best be getting back to the boys. We'll be back before dinner.”
“Wait-” You get up before he can leave, slowly approaching him with the sweatshirt in hand. Your face is burning as he stares down at you, eyebrows raised in waiting. “Will you...scent it?” You hold the sweatshirt out to him.
He looks surprised for a moment before he takes the fabric, rubbing his face and neck against it. He coats the sweatshirt in his scent, the smell of trees and petrichor filling your nose as you watch him. The back of your neck begins to prickle, the desire to roll in his scent getting stronger.
“Thank you, sir.” You say as he hands the sweatshirt back to you. “I'd...I'd also like to kneel again tonight, if that's alright.”
He smiles softly down at you. “Of course. I'll come and get you when I'm ready.” He leans down, pressing a kiss to your head before he takes his leave.
You pull on Price's sweatshirt, burying your nose in his scent for a moment. A smile pulls at your lips as you grab your old sweatshirt, making for your room.
You can't wait for tonight.
