My media server, after a decade of loyal service, has finally died, and with it, my collection of movies, shows, and anime, which I used for my writing.

This means that I have lost the files I need for my writing, and until I can afford a replacement media server and acquire all files again, this will hinder my writing.

This is my Monday post for Jaci Week/Jaci Summer! Using both themes of Cabin and Pine, I wanted to paint some sort of straightforward story with it, though this is a little bit rushed. Not sure if this will be my only piece for this event or not, but I had a lot of fun!

Feeling like I’m about to break.

2025 hasn’t been a good year for me. I lost my cat, Jasper, and my grandfather in the same week, and I’ve been struggling with my 15 hours a week job to make enough money to support myself.

Work has been hectic, as my boss keeps lecturing me about taking the initiative to do things on my own, yet she continues to micro manage me and lecture me each time I do take the initiative.

And then this week, my 22 week old kitten has become ill with gut issues, meaning numerous vet bills that I’m going to struggle to pay as we can’t figure out what’s wrong with her.

I just had a major crying fit, feeling like a useless excuse of a human being and a failure. I’m 31 years old. I should have my shit together and have the funds to survive. I don’t need any more stress right now.

I can’t even afford to see my therapist to get help. I’ll probably have to give up my kitten at this rate, as I won’t be able to even afford the vet bills she’s going to cost me.
