Ok so — Luo Binghe is happily living his life with his husband, all their problems have been sorted out, the human and demon realms are at peace… and then one morning he wakes back up at the base of Cang Qiong, a child again, on the day he was first accepted as a disciple by Shen Qingqiu. He doesn’t know how to get back to his original timeline, or even if it’s possible, but while he’s here… maybe he can make sure things between him and Shen Qingqiu go better this time around?
SQQ doesn’t like him initially, something he’s sort of forgotten over the years, preferring to think of happier times instead. He doesn’t get tea poured on him though, which is his first improvement, and he isn’t kicked out of the disciple dormitories either. Even his first cultivation manual is a copy that’s less damaged than he originally got!
(SJ still doesn’t like LBH much, but unlike the first time around, he doesn’t have a reason to specifically hate him. Instead, he just sees him as something of a sycophant, at least at first — cunning and ambitious, but loyal enough).
LBH manages to get the job of making food for SQQ again, which means he’s spending a lot more time around the bamboo house than he ever did before his shizun had that strange qi deviation, and it’s giving him the chance to see a side of SQQ he never saw before. He can still see the similarities between this one and his husband — they share a tendency for cutting critique, embarrassment over being seen enjoying something outside their role as Peak Lord, and a fondness for sweet snacks. They’re still very different though, and LBH slowly finds himself falling in love with this version of SQQ as well.
Being closer to SQQ also lets him see his interactions with the other peak lords — especially YQY and LQG, and their relationships are so different from what he’s become used to. He knows that SQQ apparently lost some memories during that qi deviation, since he apparently forgot whatever caused him to hate LBH in the first place, since he’s never been able to explain why to him — but he really must have lost a lot to forgive people that he so clearly doesn’t get along with. Sure, part of LBH is glad that LQG isn’t a romantic competitor any more, but that’s no excuse to be rude to his shizun!
Keeping this in mind, LBH decides to try and avoid that qi deviation that changed SQQ so much. The first time it happened, it was a blessing, but this time, it would erase this other version of SQQ that he’s only just getting to know. So he manages to convince SQQ to teach him how to treat qi deviations.
(SJ goes along with it, because it seems more convenient for him, even if he has to read up on some of the theory in order to teach it).
When Sha Hualing invades, LBH is ready — and when SQQ shows up with injuries he didn’t have the first time, LBH is willing to stand up and take on the first fight against the one-armed demon. Instead, SQQ fights the demon who covered his armour in Without-A-Cure, winning easily. Liu Qingge shows up, just as he did the first time, and that’s where things go wrong — when everyone is distracted by his appearance, the defeated demon charges at SQQ, almost getting him poisoned, if LBH hadn’t thrown himself between them.
(SJ was only just able to save LQG due to his better knowledge of qi deviation treatment, but he still ended up getting injuries in the process, and they hadn’t fully healed yet).
LBH wakes up a day later, in the side room of the bamboo house again, still dusty and filled with storage boxes. He’s met by a Qian Cao disciple who explains that, even though the poison ended up not being Without-A-Cure, he still needed time to fight it off, and qi infusions from a stronger cultivator — like his shizun. After they leave, SQQ comes in and asks if LBH knew he was part demon.
(SJ grew suspicious when LBH was so willing to sacrifice himself, and investigated, confirming the poison was actually Without-A-Cure, but he didn’t tell Qian Cao that. From the way he just fell ill from it, he knows that LBH must be only part-demon, although he doesn’t know how much, or if he knew if the poison would affect him or not).
LBH pretends he didn’t, drawing on his memories of the first time he learnt about his heritage, and it seems to convince SQQ. He tells him that he can stay in the sect, but only as long as he can hide his heritage — and if he decides to learn demonic cultivation, he should come to SQQ instead of seeking out any strange old masters who claim they’ll show him the route to power.
(SJ rationalises this as just a way to pay back the debt for LBH saving him from Without-A-Cure, and also a potential way to test out some of the theories about demonic cultivation. Over the next few days, he doesn’t get the chance to sleep, between the chaos resulting from the demon invasion, and the presence of LBH so close to where he sleeps. One day, just before LBH is meant to go back to the dorms, he finds himself collapsing onto his bed out of exhaustion. Rather than the nightmares he’s become used to, all his dreams are peaceful.)
Sleeping closer to him, LBH can now slip into SQQs dreamscape to take a look. The SQQ he married had strange dreams, absurd really, that mix things he’s never heard of with reality (what is a ‘microwave’ and what is it doing in his kitchen???), but this one has nightmares. Even from just a few glimpses, he can tell why SQQ might have wanted to forget those memories, to pretend they didn’t exist, so he pushes them away and replaces them with happier memories instead. A few days of peaceful dreams later, SQQ tells him he can stay in the side room, because ‘it will make cooking easier’.
(SJ still isn’t really sure what to think of LBH although he’s slowly starting to care about him — very against his will)
The Immortal Alliance Conference is coming up, and LBH has a difficult decision to make. He doesn’t exactly want to go back to the Abyss but… if Tianlang-jun gets free again, won’t his plan to unite the realms be the same? If he can find his way into the Abyss and claim Xin Mo before LBH does… no, it’s better for him to take it, to hide it away somewhere. Xin Mo may be considered lost, but there are still stories about where it could be found, some of which he knows to be accurate.
(SJ isn’t sure why his new head disciple seems so worried about the Conference, he’s sure he’ll do fine — he’ll even bet on it, and get some money out of all that work training him that he put in. It’s just a simple competition — what could go wrong?)

really not here for people on my Wednesday racism/antiblackness post saying, "well, it's a Tim Burton show 🙄" and calling it a day. Burton directs 3 episodes and was an executive producer. He had no role in the way any of the characters, including the characters of colour, were written. the antiblackness with which the characters are written were clearly in the script long before it got to Tim Burton. There are 6 main writers on the show. 4 are white men, the other white women. As for the other directors, only one is a woman of colour. stop using auteur theory to scapegoat systemic racism in the entertainment industry. The Wednesday series is not racist because it's a Tim Burton show, it's racist because it's a show about poc predominantly made by white people who enable one another to make racist creative decisions. I'm not interested in using Burton as a scapegoat for a problem that is a constant one with other shows Netflix has made like CAOS, Stranger Things, The Umbrella Academy, Bridgerton, Sandman and many others. Obviously, having Burton involved likely did not help, but meaningful representation and the lack of it is a systemic issue that Netflix wants you to forget about with their "from Tim Burton" auteur marketing. Wake up, read the fine print, and please actually learn about the filmmaking process if you're going to talk about film and tv. Because if Tim Burton did have any creative say in this show, I guarantee there wouldn't even BE any poc in it.

Fandom: SVSSS Pairing: Yue Qingyuan & Shen Jiu Summary: Shen Qingqiu suffers a qi deviation and reverts to his younger self. Yue Qingyuan, naturally, must be the one to take care of him until he recovers. Words: 1.6k
The Qing Jing Peak Lord had suffered a serious qi deviation, and would be spending some time away from his peak while recovering.
The news spread throughout Cang Qiong Mountain like wildfire— this sort of gossip always did, especially when it revolved around Shen Qingqiu. It wasn’t the first time he’d pushed himself too far and slipped up, and it probably wouldn’t be the last either, but these incidents were rarely substantial enough to actually take him away from Qing Jing Peak.
His disciples were relieved, though they would never actually admit that to anyone. Even if it was only temporary, they now had some reprieve from their shizun’s thorny tongue and icy glares— and also from his unnecessarily harsh discipline.
His peers secretly felt sorry for Mu Qingfang and his disciples, sparing them sympathetic glances whenever their paths crossed. Any time Shen Qingqiu experienced a setback, he was much, much less pleasant to be around. He was especially sensitive about his cultivation— what kind of hell must Qian Cao Peak have become with him staying as a patient like this?
Little did they know, however, that Shen Qingqiu wasn’t on Qian Cao Peak at all.

Yue Qingyuan was a very busy man.
As the leader of the cultivation world’s foremost righteous sect, there was no end to the matters that required his attention. From teaching his own disciples to coordinating the next Immortal Alliance Conference, he rarely had a moment to be idle.
For the past several days, however, he had taken leave and requested not to be disturbed for anything short of a genuine emergency.
Each morning, just after the sun had risen, he went down to Yin Huai Village with a basket hanging from his arm. A short while later, he would return with that basket filled to the brim with all manner of sweet treats and goodies— and then, he would disappear inside his house until the time came for his next daily excursion.
This odd change of behavior brought about all sorts of theories. Regardless, anyone who saw with the sect leader these days could agree on one thing— he seemed, for some reason, far happier now than they’d ever seen him before.
……
It was late spring— a dreary, rainy day.
Yue Qingyuan returned home with his basket as usual, carefully stepping inside. He called out “I’m back!” and set the basket down on the table. Then, he went into the side room, where a small bed had been set up, filled with a generous mountain of soft pillows and blankets.
In the center of that bed was a small, miserable lump.
Yue Qingyuan paused next to the bed for a moment, then carefully reached out to place his hand on top of the lump.
There was a flurry of movement beneath the blankets, which were hurriedly tossed aside by a little ball of rage and startled vitriol— and before he could pull away, Yue Qingyuan felt a sharp pain in his hand.
“Ah— Xiao-Jiu, it’s just me!”
Latched on tightly to his hand with teeth that were really far sharper than they ought to be was a small child, with a thin face and messy black hair, who was looking up at Yue Qingyuan with a frightened glare in his wide eyes.
“Qi-ge’s sorry for startling you,” Yue Qingyuan added, with a wince and an apologetic smile.
A little more than a week ago now, he’d stopped by Qing Jing Peak to deliver a message. It was a simple task he could have easily left to one of his disciples, but how could he pass up an opportunity to go check in on Xiao-Jiu? When he arrived at the bamboo house, though, instead of being greeted by the sight of Shen Qingqiu’s unhappy glare, he instead saw a quiet house, with a little mound of turquoise and white clothes in a pile on the ground, as though the person inside of them had vanished into thin air.
Seeing Shen Qingqiu’s clothes like this, Yue Qingyuan had of course been a little worried and gone to pick them up— and as soon as he’d lifted a corner of the silk robe, the same thing had happened as just now.
He recognized the person biting him instantly, and had rushed the tiny Shen Qingqiu over to Qian Cao Peak to find Mu Qingfang. While Yue Qingyuan wrapped up his now-bleeding hand in a strip of bandage, Mu Qingfang had struggled to diagnose this particularly difficult patient, who refused to cooperate even a little and seemed to think that the physician was out to get him. Eventually, a conclusion was reached— Shen Qingqiu had suffered a qi deviation, which caused him to revert to his younger self. His memories past that point also seemed to be missing, along with his cultivation— but other than that, his condition wasn’t too bad. He would probably return to normal on his own with time.
Yue Qingyuan was relieved that it wasn’t too serious, and that he wasn’t in any danger.
But that didn’t mean there weren’t some… other problems to deal with.
Xiao-Jiu— because it didn’t feel right to call this tiny version of him “Shen Qingqiu”— was now the exact same as he had been all those years ago when he’d first been purchased by the trafficking ring. From his point of view, he’d only met Yue Qi recently. They had already gotten fairly close, but there was no way he would believe that the tall, regally-clothed sect leader was, in fact, his Qi-ge all grown up.
When Yue Qingyuan had tried to explain the situation, he had just been met with a suspicious glare. He wondered whether he should have brought it up at all.
Yue Qingyuan knew that Shen Qingqiu wouldn’t want the details of his past to become widely known, so as soon as he was allowed to, he swept his tiny shidi off and tucked him away inside Qiong Ding Peak’s Sky House. He would take care of Xiao-Jiu himself until he had gone back to normal and gotten his memories back. Even though Shen Qingqiu would probably hate him even more for this later… well, it would still be better than the alternative.
At least this way, anything that happened would stay just between the two of them. Like so many things were.
And now, Yue Qi could spoil Xiao-Jiu to his heart’s content.
Once several days had passed, he realized it would be a lot more difficult than he hoped. Xiao-Jiu was hardly the sort to be won over by a few sweets and some blankets, and Yue Qingyuan kept forgetting himself and going in to hug him, or pat his head, or pinch his cheeks… Xiao-Jiu was really just too cute when he was small, it was simply unbearable.
Almost every time he reached out, his hand was bitten. The few times he avoided being bitten, he was punched or kicked. Yue Qingyuan didn’t really mind these reactions— but there were a few heartbreaking times when Xiao-Jiu just flinched away from him in fear. Once, early on, he’d slipped away from Yue Qingyuan’s grasp and curled up underneath the bed. He stayed under there for hours, peering out with big, suspicious eyes, refusing to come out despite all of Yue Qingyuan’s coaxing.
In the end, he’d left a warm steamed bun just past the edge of the bed and gone out the room. It took awhile, but Xiao-Jiu eventually crawled back out and took the peace offering, though he remained wary for the rest of the day.
Luckily, he’d warmed up to Yue Qingyuan by now.
That didn’t mean the biting had stopped.
Of course… he’d bitten Yue Qi a lot back when they were kids too. He probably just liked it.
“Xiao-Jiu… I brought you some things,” Yue Qingyuan said, gingerly trying to remove his hand from between Xiao-Jiu’s teeth. “Please let go now, you can bite down on the sweets instead of me.”
Xiao-Jiu just glared at him, refusing to offer the slightest bit of mercy.
Yue Qingyuan sighed— what was it this time? Xiao-Jiu had been getting more temperamental lately. He wasn’t afraid anymore, so it had to be something else.
Oh…
Was it that…?
“Ah. Qi-ge is sorry for leaving you.”
Once those words had left his lips, Xiao-Jiu gave him one final glare before finally letting go.
So it really was that after all.
A soft chuckle escaped Yue Qingyuan’s lips as he dabbed at the blood now welling up on his hand. It wasn’t a new injury, but rather the same one from before, re-opened. Somehow, Xiao-Jiu always managed to bite the exact same place, and his bites had only gotten harder and more painful as he recovered and grew stronger.
Xiao-Jiu reached out with one of his tiny, tiny hands and grabbed hold of Yue Qingyuan’s sleeve, tugging on it several times. Yue Qingyuan responded by gently patting him on the head, careful not to move too quickly and startle him.
“I’ll tell you next time I go out, alright?” he suggested, his voice soft.
Xiao-Jiu shook his head and glared again.
“Then… I’ll… stay here?”
A nod.
Then, Xiao-Jiu burrowed himself into Yue Qingyuan’s chest, clinging tightly to the fabric of his robes as he pressed his face into them.
A grin burst across Yue Qingyuan’s face. Ah— his Xiao-Jiu was simply the cutest thing ever! He carefully put his arms around Xiao-Jiu’s tiny shoulders, gently hugging him, rocking back and forth as he reached up to stroke his hair.
“Alright… alright. Qi-ge won’t go away anymore. Qi-ge will stay here with you.”
He closed his eyes, breathing a long, heavy sigh.
Eventually, Xiao-Jiu would grow up again and remember everything. But for now…
For now, it wouldn’t hurt to give him a little bit of the care, security, and happiness that he’d never been able to have before.

After Bill possessed Stan, Bill caused quite a bit of chaos on the boiling islands, thank goodness Eda, Luz and King stopped him in time
While all the chaos was happening outside, Stan was inside his own mind, trying to regain control of his body, while Bill's memories and his own were intertwined and mixed
Stan took quite a while to find Bill, who was having fun taking control of Stan's body
Things would get out of control when Stan and Bill fight for control of the body, Stan's mind seemed to be affected by the presence of two souls inside the same body
As a consequence, Stan now had memories that he didn't believe were his, he refused to believe they were his…
Bill left Stan's body, thanks to Stan giving him a good punch, with that, Bill left Stan's body But with the promise that he would return
After that, Eda and Stan reconciled
But the memories of that night haunt him to Stan to this day
Strange memories of a now destroyed world, an axolotl, and a rather confusing poem now haunt Stan's mind
...

Con el serial de 'Patada en el avispero' quién echa de menos las insinuaciones demasiado recurrentes y por lo tanto faltas de emoción y de sorpresa de la señorita fitness cuando el verdadero espectáculo está en ver la disparatada reacción de una parte de antiland, la otra observa un prudente silencio que denota cierta vergüenza propia y pocas ganas de recibir el consiguiente correctivo, acerca de un anon que sin la prueba del algodón de una foto para mayor regocijo del sector shipper, ha sembrado el caos y el desconcierto en los tristes paramos de Mordor, saliendo de sus madrigueras con argumentos tan peregrinos y faltos de rigor y además fácilmente demostrables de su error como aquellos de la pantalla de plexiglás entre Sam y Cait en las escenas hot durante el rodaje en la pandemia. Está visto que se aplican con pasion aquello de aunque no aportes, tú estorba porque lo que cuenta es figurar.

With your 'Kick in the hornets' nest' series, why would anyone miss the OTT, recurring insinuations (and, therefore, the lack of any emotion and wow factor) related to Miss Fitness, when the real show are the crazy reactions of one side of Antiland? The other side prudently keeps silent, denoting a certain shame of its own and zero eagerness to receive a subsequent corrective. All of this regarding an Anon who, even without the conclusive evidence of a photo, managed to sow chaos and confusion in the sad wastelands of Mordor, to the greatest delight of the Shipper Faction. Especially when trying to come out of the woods with such pedestrian, absurd arguments that are very easy to debunk. Same situation as the theory of that plexiglass screen wedged between S and C for the hot scenes shot during the pandemic. It goes to show they do passionately apply a simple idea: even if you do not contribute, you do get in their way, because what counts is showing up.
Dear Anon Rebelde, shame was never a problem for those people. The reason why one of the Queen Bees is silent? It simply does not fit her agenda. The other one is quiet because this is her historical modus operandi in such situations: a sick relative is very easy to make up and people (let alone her 1566 sock account clones) won't ask questions about it.
As for the other Einsteins, across the street? It's very entertaining, indeed, to watch some brains explode.

commission piece, character profiles for a Romance of the Three Kingdoms inspired DnD game. prompt: ancient china inspired fantasy characters. front facing poses that clearly display their personality. each character should be identified by a unique colour.
notes under the cut:
Colours are based on beijing opera colour theory.
De Di Barbarian her clothes were inspired by 2nd century xiong nu chieftain, with some leopard fur trimmings. the braids are based on kublai khan's portrait. this was my favourite design because all the additional research was super fun. the common perception of the xiongnu is a barbarian dressed in drab leathers and furs, (they did have leather clothes! it's in the middle pic) but it wasn't the only thing they wore. i decided to split the difference between fantasy and history and add some fur elements to a padded linen jacket. you'll notice that her jacket has a left-side closure, which was traditional in the northern nomadic tribes. that pic of kublai khan, which was drawn by the chinese, actually got this detail wrong, and has a right-side closure. Green: violent, impulsive, lacks restraint

Ominous Shen Wizard This wise Daoist hermit has shunned the corrupt mortal world, and also soap. he has a conch shell of dubious magical properties, and it made me think "oh can he hear the voices of the gods through it?" so i drew him holding it up like a cellphone. the Heavens called, loser. It said you've lost the divine mandate. Blue: neutral, stubborn, astute, fierce
3. Yun Bao Warrior pretty typical han dynasty laminar armour, with sun jian's famous red cap. he has the idealism of fictional Liu Bei, and all the scruples of IRL Liu Bei (not enough to fill a wine cup). he is a traitor, so i suggested the white cloak on top of the red. it's got all the necessary colour symbolism, and serves as a double red herring. western audiences will assume white is the colour of purity, chinese audiences will assume it's a zhao yun reference. textually, he is wearing funeral clothes. whose funeral? haven't decided yet :) red: courage, heroism, intelligence white: traitor
4. Hua Ti King this guy is 50% cao cao, 50% yuan shu, and 100% punchable. the yellow clothes by itself wasn't giving me the right vibes, because during the zhou-han dynasties, black was the colour of royalty, so I decided to add more black. yellow: cruel, hypocritical, sly black: neutral, upright, strict, lawful

Okay, the real question.
If the peaks write reports regularly, especially Qing Jing, An Ding, Qian Cao etc. What citation style do they use, is there a standard citation style sect wide, peak wide, or based on preference of hall masters or authors of the reports. Navigating sect wide documents would have to be nearly impossible without a citation system in place. Would An Ding use a style similar to bluebook (legal documents) where they cite the title of the document referenced, relevant sections, date. Is Shang Qinghua an MLA, APA, Chicago, Turabian style kinda guy. Did he have to teach citations to the peaks or were they already filled in through the systems gap filler protocols. Citations formats are usually separated by subject matter but even then it varies and the peaks often dabble in a wide number of subjects.. Not even mentioning possible plagiarism and copyright laws and how that would work applying to cultivation, would seals made by an individual fall under intellectual property or could the sect that person belonged to claim it as belonging to them, do sects even have any sort of I.P laws in place or contracts 😔
I have like close to zero citation knowledge so I have no idea what system he would use but there was a fic that he used the system as a glorified Excel sheet and that's all I've ever gotten to how he categorizes things
If anyone else has theories about what citation he uses, do tell I would love to hear!

"Do you mind if I ask what's going on?" Shura asks confused, taking a book of the shelves to distract the librarian who was watching both of you long time ago.
"I think I start catching feelings for Okumura" you finally said.
Shura was surprised that you we're too honest, but a fine smile trace her lips when she notices that you were a mix of feelings.
"And what's the matter you like Yukio?" she ask, pissing you.
"Yukio?" you ask confused, opening your eyes worried by that supposition.
Shura was going to say finally the name of the other twin, when the librarian kick you out of the place. Leaving a special group boys surprised by the talk, they already heard.
"There's your answer, Okumura" Bon said. "Y/N likes your twin brother"
If Rin was confused at first, now on he was shock by all the information he heard.

"Rin" you said, taking out if his thoughts.

"I don't think is a good idea to continue bringing me home"
He stop walking believing he heard wrong, and a evident "HUH" is in the air.
"What the fuck are you saying, Y/N?" he ask angry.
"Language, Okumura" You said, furrowing your brows.
"Language, my ass!" he scream. "You have been acting strange for weeks except with Yukio and Shura, did I do something wrong to have this attitude of yours?"
"Rin, isn't something we can talk in the middle of the institute" you said, stressed that a lot of people was watching the scene.
"I DON'T MIND IF EVERYONE IS WATCHING, JUST TELL ME"
Now, everyone is paying attention and you're getting angry.
"I'll say it again, I'm not talking about this topic here. If you don't calm your shit down, I'll leave" you challenge him, holding tightly to the strap of your bag.
He gets close to you.

You used to be happy, calm, rude and angry as a normal person. But the attitude recently you show...was so cold. Nobody expect that of you. No one except Shura that knows your feelings.

You were so annoyed by your own attitude.
You were out of your mind.

You're phone was turned off all the week and Rin was getting anxious about you.

All the teachers said you were sick, but Rin didn't believe that. He was going to run out of classes, when Shura stopped him.
"Hey, kiddo. Calm down, where are you going?" she asks, clearly interested in the situation.
"It's not of your business, Shura" he said. "AUCH! WHY DID YOU HIT ME?"
"Are you going to see Y/N, aren't you?"
He nod, feeling his cheeks warm.
"Listen to me, you little dumb kid" Shura started. "The reason Y/N has those attitudes was because of you. I didn't want to say something cuz I appreciate her, but if you want to know. . . ask her directly, not in front of the middle of the school, idiot" she scold him.
"Ok, I admit it. Was my fault, but I was so stressed cuz I heard you both of you talking and I-"
"Nosy" she said, hitting him in the head. "Be a man and go an see if she isn't throwing by the window, she's a little impulsive like some guy I know"
Rin went to Y/N house the faster as he can, that when he finally arrives, he was just blanked. He saw Y/N in the street too thoughtful petting a cat that he didn't notice that a happy smile was tracing in his lips.
He reached you in silence when you stand up, you hit with his chest.
"IDIOT, WHAT ARE YOU-" the words were in the air in the instance your eyes met.
All the mixed feelings you were carrying all those weeks were finally a war all over your body.
"Rin" you finally said. feeling goosebumps just by saying his name.
He didn't response. He didn't know what to do. He got closer to you and before you said something. He hugged you. He hugged you with a gentleness that you feel dizzy just by smelling his cologne.
"I miss you" he finally said, hugging you more stronger.
"I miss you too, idiot" said honestly, corresponding to the hug.
Now on, you were in the park. Both of you in each swing waiting patiently for someone who can break the ice. You breathed harder and watch your jet black hair friend lost in his own thoughts.
“Rin”
“Y/N”
You hit him in the arm in the middle of a joyful laugh after that coincidence that Rin couldn’t help to dedicate you a warm smile tracing in his lips.
“I’m sorry for being so cold to you that day” you said.
“You don’t need to apologize, it was my fault. I put a lot of pressure on you and it wasn’t correct to expose you in front of all the school” he said, resting his face in chain of the swing.
You sigh, nodding with your head. You stop swinging and leaned to him in a chance to express yourself the things that were in your mind for a long time.
And the reason both of you were in this chaotic situation.
“I need you to tell you something, Okumura” you started, feeling your blood rushing harder through your veins.
“Woah, why you need to be so serious?” He asked with a piece of playfulness in his voice.
“Just, listen to me” you supplicated, closing your eyes pretty nervous.
He opened his eyes bigger as usual and placed all his attention on you.
“I think, no, sorry” you inhale nervously.
“If you are trying to broke our friendship is not fun enough, huh” he joked, watching your hand in his arm. You hit him, again.
“RIN OKUMURA, LET ME FINISH”
“Ok, I’m going to say it now” you said. You breathe again and speak as faster as you can. “Im in love with you and I was to shy to say it cuz you’re my best friend and I didn’t want to break our friendship and now on, you’re watching me weird, what’s the matter?” You said the final phrase in a scream, preparing your feet to run for your life.
“What?”
“I’m not going to say it again” you said, covering your face with both hands.
“I thought you liked Yukio” he said shocked, not moving your eyes from you, contemplating how your hair falling in your hands that covered your face.
Rin was going to take your hands when you lift your head just to scream “WHAT?”
“I never liked Yukio, how do you get to that conclusion?” You continue, showing your red ears and cheeks standing up of the swing and begin to walk from one place to another.
Now, he was embarrassed. He mumbled the response to himself and for an instance you need to get closed to his face so you can hear.
He instantly got red by the closeness. You were a mess too but your curiosity was more.
“That time you run like a crazy donkey, I told to the guys that you were acting weird. Izumo proposed that you’ll be in the library. So…all the boys went there and in the exact moment Shura was asking you what happen, we heard that you liked Yukio” he told you, watching how the iris of your eyes make smaller.
“Idiots. I didn’t even say that. Shura proposed that on purpose” you explained, bending down at the height of him.
“Well, that’s a relief…”he mumble, passing a hand over his hair.
You didn’t understand what he was trying to suggest with that reply. But you were standing up when he stopped you taking delicately your hand.
“Don’t go. You didn’t hear my opinion about your feelings”
“I know what you’re going to say and it’s okay, I don’t mind ignoring this and continue being -“
A soft pair of lips were in yours, stopping your speech.
"I was trying to say that I like you too" Rin smiled. He contemplate your reaction for a second. Your cheeks and ears were red as always. Your eyes were sparkling. And your brows were furrowed in a funny gesture showing your tsundere facade.
He was stunned by the way you looked and the way you looked at him.
Like a dumbass he leaned into you, again. Waiting for a kiss. Rin was telling you that with his eyes. But you tried to provoke him just a little.
"What?" you raised a brow crossing your arms in front of your chest.
"I'm waiting my kiss, I gave you one, it's time to give me one in return"
You looked at the sky being a blushing and erratic mess trying to concentrate
"I'm still waiting ~ " he sang, enjoying the view.
"Oh shut up, you idiot" you said finally closing the distance between the two of them, giving him a much more needy but still sweet kiss.
"Thank you, sweetie. I love you" Rin said, hugging you harder.
"I hate you" you said, laughing after the guy of your dreams make you tickles trying to give you a butterfly kiss.

13/? Luo Binghe is SO NORMAL about Shen Yuan

Despite Luo Binghe's best efforts, answers were not forthcoming in the following years. In fact, he only had more questions. An Ding's defenses were second to none and took months of dedicated research on Luo Binghe's part to sneak through.
To test the theory, Luo Binghe broke into the treasure rooms on Qiong Ding to compare the defenses. It was enough of a cakewalk that he'd sat Shen Yuan down — at a respectable distance — to discuss the issue. Thankfully, his future wife didn't ask why he was breaking into An Ding in the first place.
Shen Yuan listened to his concerns and promised to look into it. A week later he said Shen Qingqiu had it handled and not to worry about it anymore, which wasn't an answer, but Shen Jiu could at least be trusted to tear the sect leader apart about inadequate protection on the sect's treasures.
And it was all a waste of time. Shen Yuan's disciplehood records showed no evidence of injury or extreme misadventure. Qian Cao's former peak lord did note that Disciple Shen seemed to lose or destroy his clothing abnormally often. He then mentioned that he'd administered extra sex ed for Shen Yuan's cohort.
Well, there was a hint of something; apparently, Shen Yuan was actually resistant if not immune to many common papapa plants. Luo Binghe had crossed his arms over his chest and frowned at the records for a solid ten minutes. Some of the listed plants were explicitly the excuse for 'forced' papapa in IRS. From his own POV segments it was clear Shen Yuan wasn't secretly thirsting for everyone, so why?
That night, Luo Binghe had actually woken in a cold sweat. Was the novel version of Shen Yuan really raped on the regular? He'd had to lunge and stagger his way outside to throw up. As he knelt in the cool night air, though, he'd relaxed a little. Shen Yuan's POV made it clear he considered the sex a medical treatment: annoying, but necessary. He was oblivious to how the men around him seemed to view it as a special kind of intimacy.
But, most importantly, none of that had happened until Luo Binghe's watch. And it never would if he had anything to say about it.
Based on the scenes that the System grudgingly paid out in exchange for side quests, Luo Binghe knew that Linguang-jun in the past expected regular reports from the Original Goods. Meng Mo relayed that the ice demon was content with Luo Baixiao being Shen Yuan's personal disciple and the information Meng Mo gained from his eyes.
It suggested that perhaps the entire spy thing was less about Cang Qiong Mountain in general and more about Shen Yuan in particular, which was backed up by Linguang-jun's future suit. But that didn't make sense with Linguang-jun ordering the seduction of Shen Yuan by a child.
…Unless Luo Baixiao had come up with that on his own as a means to get closer to Shen Yuan and blackmail him after the fact.
It was a lot to consider and all of it bad. Luo Binghe didn't like it, but he was glad enough to not be actively betraying his beloved that he didn't dwell on it any more than necessary.
Instead, Luo Binghe went on countless missions on Shen Yuan's behalf. He retrieved every relic or beast part his beloved had painstakingly collected in IRS. He meticulously documented mating seasons and hibernation periods and migration routes. Something in his half-demon biology made his memory immaculate and Luo Baixiao had practiced his painting and arts enough that Luo Binghe was able to sketch with the requisite detail.
Though he took pains to maintain the correct, filial distance, Luo Binghe still showered Shen Yuan with gifts. They were simply the appropriate kind: rewards from village heads passed on unopened. Valuable trophies from creatures slain. Promises of communication from remote villages and secluded, sentient yao.
It was just as the Immortal Alliance Conference that the shadow in Shen Yuan's eyes every time he looked at Luo Binghe faded. Once, Shen Yuan even invited Luo Binghe to eat with him. It wasn't until Luo Binghe demurred that Shen Yuan seemed to catch himself, startling and covering his expression with his fan before nodding.
The Immortal Alliance Conference was something Luo Binghe had desperately tried to ignore. In IRS, it was attacked by demons. Powerful creatures had laid waste to the pitiful disciples. When Shen Yuan left the viewing box to assist, Without a Cure had struck, requiring immediate treatment with dual cultivation with Liu Qingge.
Frustratingly, the chapters had been from Liu Qingge's POV and he'd been distracted by beasts to destroy after getting his dick wet. Sure, it was a great portrayal of how outclassed the disciples were that Liu Qingge was fighting with his full strength to stay afloat in the chaos, but he lost track of Shen Yuan for hours.
When Liu Qingge finally did find Shen Yuan, he was badly wounded and in the throes of Without a Cure next to the then-sealed entrance to the Endless Abyss. Snowballing at least had the grace to make that session of dual cultivation gruesome and unsexy, but what the fuck happened in the interim?
The most Luo Binghe had to go off of was a throwaway line two chapters later in Shen Jiu's POV. He'd asked if Shen Yuan knew what happened to Luo Baixiao, the last unaccounted for Qing Jing disciple. Shen Yuan said only, "Luo Baixiao… that pitiful child is gone, Jiu-ge."
Shen Jiu had been furious that Shen Yuan could grieve a disciple he so clearly hated and had tried to attic wife Shen Yuan in the aftermath.
Which was all to say, Luo Binghe didn't have much to go off of.
Some fans had speculated that due to Shen Yuan's future close 'friendships' with many demons that perhaps he'd been taken advantage of in the planning of the conference, but Luo Binghe was close enough to know that was wrong. While Shen Yuan did almost all of the talking for Cang Qiong Mountain, he was merely the spokesman on behalf of Shen Jiu and Shang Qinghua.
Though Luo Binghe disliked Shen Qingqiu, he knew his nominal master would rather rip out the sect leader's eyes than cooperate with demons. Shen Jiu was constantly hounding Shen Yuan about his unorthodox interests and controversial beliefs that demons weren't all evil. Honestly, Shen Jiu obsessed so much over the issue that Luo Binghe thought he was projecting to an extent.
(But a few discreet tests showed that, unlike Luo Baixiao, Shen Jiu didn't have any demonic heritage.)
Shang Qinghua was a real possibility though. IRS never mentioned how secretive the man was, instead focusing on how mousy and productive he was. While the defenses on An Ding Peak were made only of spiritual energy and orthodox techniques, they were strange. The designs of the anchors and the shape of the barriers were unique.
And since Luo Binghe brought up the issue of An Ding's superior defenses, Shen Qingqiu had been crueler to Shang Qinghua, so perhaps he was suspicious but had no proof.
Not that knowing the traitor would help at this point, Luo Binghe thought as he packed Shen Yuan's carriage. If Shen Qingqiu, favorite of the sect leader and the sect's top strategist, couldn't get his concerns addressed Luo Binghe didn't have a chance. And pushing too hard might result in a reveal of his demonic blood.
So Luo Binghe had to ride to the conference knowing only that he would disappear there and return in one hundred chapters and five years openly as a half-demon. Luo Baixiao had become such a loathed antagonist that fans suggested he was the traitor of the conference despite being all of seventeen and completely lacking in contact with demons, since IRS never mentioned Meng Mo.
What a mess.

accountability posting, week 3
DEFEATED THE SKRITTER BACKLOG!! I am now up to date on all my cards and trying to learn a few new ones from the hsk5 and chengyu decks each eay
Read two chapters from the grammar book, on prepositions and conjunctions. Currently struggling with the fact that I in theory know a lot of conjunctions, but because I don't read enough multi-clause sentences, I don't have a good sense for how to use them. Hopefully this will come with time though
Read another couple of chapters of Cao Cao Goes To The Park (rot3k for people with limited vocab), which I'm also trying to keep up with during the week outside this ~~dedicated study period~~. I do feel like I'm getting more of a sense of the rhythms of a written sentence, although I am mostly achieving this by reading things aloud 😅 I guess that's in the Spot Goes To The Park spirit, at least
