Canis Minor alias il Cane Minore è una piccola costellazione il cui mito è spesso legato esclusivamente alla sua stella più luminosa, Procione, che si trova esattamente a sud dei Gemelli, nell’altra parte della Via Lattea rispetto al Cane Maggiore: per trovare queste stelle, tracciare una linea da Bellatrix (γ Orionis), la spalla destra di Orione, verso Betelgeuse (α Orionis), la spalla destra, e questa vi porterà direttamente a Procione,  dopo uno spostamento di circa 22° verso est.

My usual cellphone astrophoto images which I post capture the stars well, but don't really represent the view as seen naked-eye here in the city. The Night Sight images are a little overexposed and show more than can be seen at first glance when you're dealing with severe light pollution. So, I went ahead and edited a photo I took tonight to more closely resemble what it looks like when you first step outside and look up. (It's a million times better than this if you get away from city lights!) Orion the Star is a children's book series for kids, dogs, parrots, cats, and even adults. Orion is a superstar parrot who flies from the stars to save any creature in distress.
