🇺🇲 Cadillac DeVille: A Legacy of Luxury and Innovation. This symbol of style and innovation has captured hearts for decades. Let's explore its evolution and impact on the automotive world.
👑 The Coupe de Ville and Sedan de Ville models became not just cars, but symbols of luxury in the 1950s, thanks to their comfort and power. From the extravagant tailfins of the 1950s to smoother lines and modern style in subsequent decades, the Cadillac DeVille has always been at the forefront of design.
⚙️ With Cadillac DeVille came new technologies and innovations, from cutting-edge safety systems to state-of-the-art entertainment. Despite changes over time, the DeVille remained popular, attracting buyers with its comfort and luxury.
🚘 With the discontinuation of the DeVille in 2005, an era came to an end, but its legacy lives on in Cadillac models that continue the tradition of luxury and refinement.

From My 1/43 Collection... A Little Fun!
I have a pretty extensive 1:43 collection that comprises about 45% white metal, 40% resin & the rest, diecast. I love to bring models together for comparison photos when the subject matter dictates, similar to my Cadillac series a few months ago.
Anyway, with the release of the new 1962 Imperial Crown Convertibles from GLM I got to thinking about bringing them together for photos, but then it occurred to me, What about Cadillac? It might be more fun to feature a Cadillac & Imperial together for some photos of the same model year. Here's the 1st...
A couple of quick thoughts on the two 1:1 cars. For 1957, Cadillac and Imperial were both redesigned. The Cadillac was still using mid-50s designs while the Imperial was all new, lower & wider with a definite look to the future. The two chosen are based on what is my model collection. The 1:1s are similar in price, with the Imperial about $500 higher. Both are new to the market, 4-door hardtop sedans.
Model accuracies aside, they represent two cars a buyer had the option to choose from in 1957. Which one you would choose?
The models featured are the Cadillac Series 62 Sedan de Ville by GLM-issued in 2014, and the Imperial Crown Southampton Hardtop Sedan is from NEO Scale models-issued in 2011.
