#Cad Bane x Jango Fett fic

I've made the dire mistake of reading a Cad Bane x Jango Fett fic and I think I'm going to self-sabotage for the next few days. If you pair them up real nice, you get to see beautiful and tender Jango is and how much I know he'd make love to you under the tender moon. Meanwhile, Bane here would probably fuck your brains out before shooting you dead and I think that's okay too.

I haven't asked you some Jango stuff yet and idk why. But I know you can do him so good because of the many plots/thots/thoughts we've talked about everywhere, so if you can...

Say Jango and Bane got into a real nasty argument which included guns be pointed at each other but ended up walking away to cool off. Who makes the first move? And how will it pan out?

Oh, good question. This requires me explaining their dynamic a bit as far as ideas for my fic.

Jango would be Bane’s mentor as was canon. Nothing else is known about them working together or even associating with each other except at some point Bane says “he owed Jango a few favors” regarding Boba, and Hondo mentions in “Secrets of the Bounty Hunters” that he had many adventures with Jango Fett and Cad Bane, among others.

Thinking about their place on the GFFA timeline, they most likely interacted BEFORE Jango created his clone army, and even sometime afterward before the Clone Wars as it was mentioned Boba KNEW who Cad Bane was and desired to work with him on a job in the comics.

To that end, both were near the same age, though if my calculations are correct, Jango is older. Considering how hotheaded Cad Bane is, I assume that in his youth he was even worse.

I see Bane picking fights after one too many drinks, letting the insults fly, and drawing his weapon for no reason other than to intimidate someone. I see others coaxing him to stand down, either verbally or by force, or perhaps Jango has a secret weapon or two up his sleeve that is noted to work nearly every time.

I imagine Bane to be a bit of a brat in this era. Hard to train, hard to control, but also capable of holding his own. Jango saw potential. It may have been he took him under his wing once they worked together, or perhaps they were in direct competition with one another and Fett decided that instead of being enemies, he wanted a partner, or an equal, as what he saw in Bane was the equivalent of the “mentee” being able to one day surpass the “master.”

At this point, Jango didn’t have a son. We know he has that gene, the one that desperately needs and wants to be a father, apparently. He may have used this drive to mentor Cad, but of course there are definitely times they do not get along.

For one thing, I don’t see it working out in the end between them, one of the MANY REASONS BEING THEY ARE TOO MUCH ALIKE.

Both are sort of stoic by nature, have a hot temper, will do anything the job takes, and have few scruples when it comes to what they will or will not do for credits. We might say Jango is more driven by his hatred for the Jedi, but as a Jedi hunter, Bane has inherited some of this disdain.

Anyway, I digress. The point is they are both stubborn. They both rarely talk about their feelings. They both march to the beat of their own drum, and they both are excellent at what they do.

My interpretation of their relationship would dictate Jango being the one to make the first move after having a terrible argument. Maybe Bane wasn’t sure Jango wouldn’t shoot him, and that made him feel things. I’m writing him as being a bit sensitive overall, but also so obstinate he would sulk and keep his head down after being scolded well enough that he decides to mope off by his lonesome. Of course, this is outwardly expressed as anger though deep down he is hurt.

His person yelled at him. Not only that, Jango at this point in time, is a better bounty hunter than Bane, although one day he may surpass him as I mentioned, and technically he does as he goes up against many Jedi and doesn’t get his head cut off. ;D But, in this instance, he may very well be cautious of him. I wouldn’t say afraid, though there are times he feels fear in the moment, but he also holds a kind of love in his heart for the “old man” though it may never be expressed verbally and instead shown through actions.

I imagine Jango would sit alone, contemplate, and sigh. After some time has passed and he’s cooled off, he would go to Bane knowing the boy rather die than come crawling back. Bane would make it a point to avoid him or stay out of his way until he made it clear he wanted to speak to him again, or make up. In the end, Bane didn’t want to fight him. He wanted them to reconcile as much as Jango did.

I see Jango taking the lead, maybe stroking the side of his face with the back of his hand. Maybe he tips his hat up by the edge to better see his eyes. Bane would stay solemn and wait.

“Cad. Look at me.”

And he would. When in the mood, Bane would do anything that Jango asked of him. This is after he’s attached and before their falling out ( >D ).

Maybe Bane nuzzles his cheek into the man’s hand, or shows some other sort of affection once Jango shows him it's all right, either by a look, or by lifting his chin up or some other small gesture. I assume his eyes are full of apprehension and he remains on guard just in case.

Jango says a few words about how he was wrong, or that he’s sorry he got carried away. Bane believes him, though this may have happened many, many times. He’s receptive to whatever Jango offers him – a kiss, a stroke to his wrist, a pat on the belly, or sharing a drink. In the end they probably fuck nasty to make up, and Bane’s the catcher while biting into the pillow at Fett’s mercy. That, or he rides him while Jango watches the way his fangs gnaw into his lip, or the way he stares ruthlessly into his eyes without once breaking eye contact.

“That’s a good boy, you do know how to listen. If only you were always so well behaved.”

Bane definitely bites back what he wants to say as he’s too busy trying not to cum, drunk off Jango’s dick as he drives it home doggy style nice and slow, let's say.

If he did manage a word or two it’s probably: “Fuck off, Fett.”

Most likely Jango just smiles, not bothering to address him any further. He's content to watch, or to run his hand down the length of Bane's back and the curve of his waist as he brings him to a peak.

With that all out of the way, Jango Fett x Reader x Cad Bane.

I’m thinking fellow bounty hunter is a must; provides an excuse for frequent interaction, plus both men would be attracted to an s/o who can lay them on their ass or at least put up a good fight; no wallflowers for them.

Reader worked with each of them individually are multiple occasions

Jango and Bane never work together unless Reader is there as well; and if they are, Jango and Bane quickly start competing

They’ll count the number of kills, trick shots, who gets the get away vehicle, who drives, you name it; it’s childish.

It’s so childish that a quarry actually get away and the reader rips them both a new one

Jango and Bane aren’t going to take it lying down and start shouting at each other until Jango is like, “you think a few trick shots are going to get you in y/n pants, you’ve got another thing coming” to which Bane responds, “look who’s talking hot shot”.

At which point you’re pissed that they’re talking about you like you’re not there and speak up saying neither of them is getting anywhere with you if they’re going to threaten your meal ticket.

That gets them to calm down enough to actually apologize, a minor miracle in itself.

You then tell them they can make it up to you later.

It’s then a glint gets into each of their eyes.

“How would you like us to make it up to you?”

They then spend the next several hours making it up to you in the most pleasurable way. 

They’re still competitive.  They fight over body, attaching their mouth to any free skin. When one is inside you, the other is giving instruction, egging the other on, daring them to pull another orgasm from your body before all put tearing them away to finish the job themself.

It’s not clear if they’re enemies by the end of it, or if they’re come to a new understanding, either way, you would be completely alright with doing it again sometime.

How I feel about this character

He is VERY cool. Just top tier bad guy material right there, every time he shows up on screen I feel simultaneously like I’m giggling cause I’m having fun over how cool he is as a character, and that he is lowkey Very Sexy. Some days I think I’m more obsessed with his outfit than him, but let’s be real here. The whole package is quite Cool. Especially the Hat tho. The little action figure I have, the hat comes off? It’s adorable. Makes my day every day.

Jango Fett, Obi Wan Kenobi, Hondo Ohnaka, pretty much any bounty hunter except Boba Fett (that’s his son, thank you v. much), Quinlan Voss, I’m open to a lot, but the top two are Jango and Obi Wan. 

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Honestly the romantic ones would be just as amazing as platonic relationships or frenemies or just enemies. But probably Cad Bane x His Hat. They belong together. <3

My unpopular opinion about this character

It’s not really an unpopular opinion, I don’t think, but I think this man and redemption would go together like a cat and water. He’s bad, and its more fun that way. Not that I’d begrudge anybody to fan fic it up, but I think a more like ‘66 Catwoman x Batman vibes what I’m looking for whenever I’m shipping him with anybody.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

*stares longingly at the unaired Boba Fett vs. Cad Bane fight* I guess I’m just really excited for him to return to canon and die. xD (That said, I’d also be psyched if he came back and DIDN’T die, but the stuff about that arc sounds SO GOOD)

Headcanon, because I am an angsty bitch.

Thinking about Jango x Cad a bit. I have a lot of ideas stewing, but one in particular addresses Todo 360's role in Cad Bane's life after the death of Jango Fett.

I have thoughts about them, many thoughts. To shorten my perspective, he was mentor (canon), partner, business associate, and lover to Cad Bane.

I see them together in his early years as a hunter. They were most likely in competition with each other. Maybe Fett passed down a few tips and tricks. I am foreseeing enemies to lovers and a bit of a brat-taming scenario here.

Cad had a temper. Imagine what he was like in his youth. He was pretty feisty in the Clone Wars. I like to think about what he was like when he was first starting out and trying to prove himself.

I also like to imagine the homelife he had back on Duro, living in the ghetto, and how that helped to shape his personality and most likely gave him a warped sense of reality where he constantly feels the need to horde his wealth for a rainy day, maybe, or maybe he gets a taste of the good life and winds up blowing it every which way to the wind, thus the need for a constant supply of credits. But, I digress.

He rarely trusts anyone, for starters. To let Fett in is to drop his guard. I think Cad might even grow to love him in his own way, though perhaps it is never voiced out loud.

Maybe Jango feels a little of the same, but maybe the "clone contract" causes a rift in their relationship. I don't see Bane being fine with a million of his favorite person out wandering about. It's unethical, it's weird, it doesn't make sense. He gets the money aspect, but he's offput.

I see them having a falling out. Maybe Jango wanted the money to lead a good life, a simple life, with his son. Maybe he thought Bane might be a part of it. Bane resents Boba. The man had a kid without telling him, and worse yet, a genetic clone in some weird science experiment that gives him the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it, and now there's a whole army of them!

Worst comes to worst. Jango's off his game. He dies. Cad finds out, never having closure, never getting to say sorry, never getting to say goodbye, and now he has to come to terms with the fact his lover's face is millions strong all across the galaxy. Talk about PTSD.

He can hardly take it; he kills them every chance he gets. He knows how they operate; he knew how Jango operated. He takes trophies, helmets. "Once ye figure one out, de rest are easy."

He finds Todo, buys him, acquires him somehow. I have not yet decided. Part of me wants to say he was in a dumpster and he fixes him up for this one job, but the droid takes to him.

The little shit comes back. He's loyal. He's there for him. He doesn't mind he's a grump. He provides conversation; stimulation in the otherwise solitary hours he spends in space. He becomes a comfort, someone to talk to, someone to fill the void that Jango left behind.

He tries to mentor Boba. He means well, he just can't bring himself to do it. He drinks himself stupid and pulls one crazy stunt too many and Boba is done. They have their duel.

1. How many works do you have on AO3? 27 total. I should have MORE.

2. What's your total A03 word count? 551,012 words.

3. What fandoms do you write for? The only fandoms I have written for as far as fanfiction goes is Grand Theft Auto 5 and Star Wars, though back in the day I used to RP all kinds of stuff with my friends in the good ole' AOL chatrooms. Pretty sure I also used to post to RP forums.

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

It may not be super longwinded or elaborate because I may not know what to say, but I always try to return a comment with a thank you at least, because they are very much appreciated.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Oh, I can't tell you because it isn't finished yet. >D In fact, I am a slut for angst. You can just go ahead and expect terrible things to happen if I'm writing it.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Hm, probably something with Shriv Suurgav, actually. He's a total sweetheart, and if I am in the mood for fluff, he is usually my go to. Better than Candy was always one of my favorites. You get what you want and Shriv gets a blowjob. ;D

8. Do you get hate on fics? Nope. So weird to see it happen to others. Like, what?

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Are you kiddddding? LOL That is basically all I write besides PWP - which is pretty much the same thing - angst/hurt, and sometimes a little comfort fic here and there. Though I am not sure what you mean by what "kind." I am all over the place.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written? No. Not into it, really. AU's are a little different, but I like to still be as canon compliant as possible without deviating too far from the original characterization. Maybe they're more like silly little "Crack" scenarios.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I don't think so.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not to my knowledge.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not exactly, though I brainstorm and talk about Cad Bane and Hondo with my internet BBF like every fucking day nonstop ( we're obsessed ).

14. What's your all-time favourite ship? BANAKA! I will scream it from the rooftops, preach it from the pulpit, rub it in your faces (not really), and force you to see the perfect relationship that is Cad Bane x Hondo Ohnaka if it is the last thing I do. I also really like Cad Bane x Jango Fett, and Shriv Suurgav x Cad Bane, and even Shriv Suurgav x Poe Dameron. >D

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I want to finish all of them, but sometimes I wonder if I will get around to finishing "Handcuff Marks and Stubbleburn." I haven't been in a GTA V mood lately, but I really DO wanna finish All the wrong places. I can't just let it go at chapter 94. AHHHH.

16. What are your writing strengths? Characterization and descriptive language. Also not too shabby with dialogue and plot. I sort of just come up with shit as I go along by the seat of my pants. Sometimes, I will take a few notes down or make a rough outline, but that's about it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses? Perfectionist. Being a little verbose on occasion, but honestly IDAGAF and write what I want.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I won't do it unless it is a "fake" language, such as Huttese or Durese. I am not above making up words and using context clues to figure out what a character is saying, such as Jabba the Hutt. They basically did that in the first three Star Wars movies. If we can deal with Chewie making his Wookiee sounds and using Han as a translator, I feel like it's fine to do it in a fic.

I think I tried to write ONE line in French to be funny, as Trevor Philips is French-Canadian, but I won't do so otherwise, and especially not in a serious context. Google translate isn't the most accurate, I hear.

19. First fandom you wrote for? Probably Hercules the Legendary Journey's or The Vampire Chronicles back in middle school.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written? Hmm.

I really liked writing Trigger Happy, which Cad Bane masturbates aboard his ship alone in the darkness of deep space, thinking about a warm, mammalian reader who is lightyears away...

I also really loved writing Better than Candy. I love writing for Shriv and his self-deprecating, jaded sense of humor. I wanted him to get a little "treat," and was quite happy with the results. I had the idea on the way home from work; I was sucking on a lollipop in traffic. >D
