Here are my thoughts watching episode 4 of cm evolution

So Elias is seeing visions? Who is that guy?

So the guy was the original owner of the kill kit? 

Please don’t tell me he just murdered the dog

So Tyler is a misguided vigilante wanting to avenge his sister Alison. Reminds me of the former vet guy in To Hell...and Back in s4 where he also wanted to avenge his sister. He thinks Sicarius (I assume he’s referring to Elias)

Emily deciding Garcia should talk to Green, which makes sense as she’s not a cop and Tyler is the reason Garcia is working with the BAU again

Random thought but I love how cute Garcia’s outfit is in this scene

That said, because Tyler is why she’s back in the BAU, I fear she will snap at him for forcing her to return when she was happier away from the BAU

Ugh, Tyler being a stubborn little asshole. I wonder if there’s a reason he doesn’t want to speak aside from the team ruining his plans. For a second, I thought Garcia was gonna go off at him like she did with Rossi in episode 1. Hmm, maybe later

Miami, Florida, suddenly I’m having CSI Miami flashbacks 

I thought the couple were gonna be the victims but it turns the unsubs killed a stranger in their house instead

“Good morning, Penelope.” God, I love Luke. Kinda a bummer we didn’t see him before the credits

It’s nice to see Garcia in her old office again, but sad that she’s going through Tyler’s personal information including that of his sister 

Awww, it’s so sweet that Luke used to babysit Sergio, but poor guy, he’s allergic to cats. Another reason why he’s a dog person 

Garcia wants to help Tyler so that he’s able to help the team stop Sicarius

I love how Luke is supportive of the idea and stunned when Garcia joked about setting up a rumor that he’s difficult to work with

Emily is so done with Garvez and their bickering

so Garcia insists that Green does a cognitive interview to help him retrieve his memories. I love how Emily approves the idea and Luke insisting that Garcia gets the credit for her good ideas

Pissed off Garcia hits differently. She finally went off at Tyler for being very stubborn and does not hold back on her anger towards him for being drawn back into the FBI. Apparently, this is enough for Tyler to comply and do a cognitive interview

kinda love that Garcia is being more assertive in the revival

Aww, JJ feels safe with Will in their home, and Will saying how JJ is the protector of their home

These unsubs are literally fucked up, and I say this with most of the unsubs in the show who lack any sympathetic qualities and are just plain evil

The cinematography in this scene feels different 

Poor Tyler, he knew the guy and blames himself for Alison’s death. He feels responsible as he felt this wouldn’t have happened had he joined them for dinner

The subtle and silent acting between Kirsten, Paget and Adam after that scene *chef’s kiss*

I love it when JJ and Tara team up for a takedown

this feels too soon, like the episode isn’t even close to the end and there’s a takedown so early

Rossi, what happened to not giving the unsubs any notoriety? I thought you wanted to call them a “Fuckhead” not “Sicarius”. Sure it’s not professional but still

First time they caught an unsub, only to for them to have nothing to do with the network

So Tyler was able to preserve his conversations with Sicarius, and offers to help in any way, but tells Luke that he wants to leave Garcia out of this

Wait...Will might have cancer, are you fucking kidding me with this? Wasn’t killing Krystal off not enough for these guys? Poor JJ and Will, I just want to give them a hug 

overall, I find this episode better than episode 4, felt more like a standard unsub of the day like episode in previous seasons except the whole Tyler subplot made it feel less of a filler episode. I kinda wished we saw more of Tara and Luke (though I can understand why Luke’s screentime is limited since Adam directed this episode)

🍉 Do you prefer to write short fics or long fics? Multichaptered works or single ones? Why? I love writing both, but I think I prefer short fics/one-shots in a series. It's just more fun building a universe with little snippets here and there.

🍓 What’s a fic you’ve written you feel is underrated? A lot of my CSIverse stuff that's not about CSI: NY. Back in its heyday, I was a pretty popular Buffyverse author, a prolific and respected Sherlock writer, I got a lot of love when I was into Bleach, and while I don't write as much Wholock anymore it got a decent amount of hits and stuff. But my CSI and CSI: Miami stuff was usually overlooked? IDRK, I've been writing fanfic for nearly 25 years, I could be forgetting the love I got in those fandoms.

🍒 What’s your favorite character dynamic to write? (Can be romantic or platonic, specific or general!) Idiots to lovers.

🍊 Who’s a character you don’t write for that often, but keep meaning to write for more? (They’re so interesting! But maybe you have trouble pinning them down, or keep getting distracted by another blorbo…) I keep meaning to write Elementary stuff, but the show was so damn perfect as it was that I can only write missing scene stuff. Sherlock and Joan are just so fascinating, as are Gregson and Bell, but I just can't figure out what to write for them.

🍐 Is there anything in canon that you absolutely hate and love to fix in fics? A wrong choice made, a fuck-up in characterization, a misunderstanding never cleared up, a conversation never shown onscreen, etc… Okay. I am not bashing Sherlock here, not really, but after ending season 3/getting utterly and completely spoiled for season 4, you see the show has a fuckton of flaws making it ripe for fix-it fics. First and foremost there's the travesty of Mary's death, then there's the missing Reichenbach stuff, there's Irene being rescued and conflicting ideas by cast and writers as to what happened then, the mystery surrounding just why Molly was in a bad mood for the phone call, Sally's disappearance for most of S3/all of S4 (we know in real life it was scheduling conflicts, but they never explained it in the show), and Eurus...just Eurus. So it's like, you can pick any point in this show and use that as a starting point for fix-it/missing scene fic that's better than canon. But yeah. That's why I have thousands of Sherlock fic and very few Elementary fic by comparison.

🍈 Who’s your blorbo and what are some of your favorite headcanons/ideas about them that repeatedly show up in your fics? Free pass to rant about blorbo opinions. My blorbo has to be Molly Hooper. I write her in so much, with characters from four other mediums as well as multiple male AND female characters in her fandom. I am a strong supporter of the "Molly Hooper is bi" sentiment, that she knows self defence, that she and Sally are friends (if not dating), that she has more money than Sherlock, and that she wants a child at some point (preferably before she's too old to enjoy parenthood).

🫐 What’s your favorite underrated thing in your fandom? (A ship that only you seem to write for, a character there’s almost no fics about, a trope that criminally hasn’t been written yet, etc.) In my primary fandom (Sherlock)? There isn't enough crossover stuff. Don't care what it's crossed over with, it's ripe for crossovers.

WIJ Day 20 - Character You'd Like Whumped More

I feel like most of the characters I like get whumped a pretty good amount. I would, of course, like more whump for all of them, but there isn't one that jumps out at me as needing more. I would like more physical whump for Ryan Wolfe from CSI: Miami. I love all the emotional whump he gets, especially with his s5 and s6 arc. But I would also love to see him stabbed. And beat up. And tossed around. And punched. Maybe some more torture. A bit of bodily injury. A broken bone or two <3

I really love the whole eye injury effects in s4. That was a nice mixture of "physical" and emotional. Well actually, let's be honest: I would love more emotional whump for him as well. I like to see him get pushed around, literally or metaphorically.

Off track, but I think one of my favorite scenes in the show is right when Horatio meets Ryan and asks him a bunch of questions, then asks to inspect his gun. It's such a great and subtly powerful scene for both the characters and the audience. It's not exactly a whumpy scene (at least not for Wolfe, moreso Horatio) but it's certainly impactful, and I still love it.

Watching S4E8 of CSI: Miami and...that's a way to start an episode. Ryan Wolfe was freaking out in Erik Delko's Hummer on the way to the ER because there was a FUCKING NAIL in his eye. So glad I wasn't starting this episode as I sat down to eat dinner...oh wait.

I didn't love the whole leak/reporter thing they did with Wolfe at the end of S3/start of S4 and now this??? Rude.

Good show for the season but the Halloween episodes in particular are S5 “The Haunted Mask” Carly Beth’s scary mask begins to change her. S5 “The Haunted Mask 2” A boy’s creepy Halloween mask won’t come off and begins to harm him. S2 “Attack of the Jack O'Lanterns” Jack O‘Lantern aliens terrorize some trick or treaters. 

Goosebumps Movie

A teen moves to a new town and falls for the girl next door but soon finds out her dad is R.L. Stine and his book characters become all too real. 

The Haunting Hour series

Another good show for the season. The halloween episode is S2 “Pumpkinhead” - a group of siblings fear the legend of a farmer who takes kids heads and turns them into pumpkins.

The Office S2 Halloween Downsizing leads corporate headquarters to order Michael to fire somebody by the end of October. Michael procrastinates until Halloween, when he still has not decided whom to fire. When he decides to fire Creed, Creed manages to convince Michael to fire Devon. S6 Koi Pond While on the way to a business meeting, Michael falls into a koi pond. The staff tease him so he holds an anti-bullying seminar. Pam and Andy go cold-calling to stir up some new business; they reluctantly use clients’ mistaking them as a couple to their advantage. S7 Costume Contest Michael freaks out when Darryl goes over his head by taking an idea to corporate. The employees partake in a Halloween costume contest in the office. Meanwhile, Pam tries to get the truth from Danny about their dating history. S8 Spooked Erin works to make a spooky, non-childish Halloween party, with help from Gabe. Dwight becomes friends with Robert’s son, and Pam and Jim debate the existence of ghosts. Meanwhile, Robert tries to figure out everyone’s deepest fears in order to culminate a ghost story.

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia S6 “Who got Dee Pregnant” The gang think back to their Halloween party to figure out who got Dee pregnant.
