I can’t be the only one who doesn’t like Oreos anymore.

For the past I do not know how long every time I bring up to people that any kind of food that is generally loved has changed their recipe slightly so now it tastes different they look at me like I’m crazy.

The primary example I have of this is of course Oreos (Milk’s favorite cookie). I cannot locate the exact moment I realized Oreo quality has kind of fallen off since my concept of time was stolen from me but it must’ve been at least a year or two ago.

Ever since I bit into an Oreo and immediately threw the package away thinking they’d gone bad only to taste the exact same crusty, watered down, half-assed product. I used to absolutely adore Oreo and I know it’s because they’re having to cut costs so Mr. Oreo can buy a new Oreomobile for his Oreo mistress but goddamn I was fine with corporate greed destroying the planet but when it comes to my childhood cookie I draw the line.

The irony of advertising is I don't mind them so much on TV as opposed to Youtube. I think on TV its because of their natural flow. Shows are formatted expecting to be interrupted for a couple minutes at regular intervals. And as a viewer, it gives me a natural break point to go to the bathroom or make some tea. On Youtube they're irregular, they appear not when I might be considering a break but right as I'm starting, or interupt mid-senrance during a video, for an unknown amount of time i think that's what makes them just so infuriating. Instead of an expected break of a regular length in accordance with the formatting of my show, right at a point where I'd be considering strerching my legs, I get them unexpectedly for a random amount of time, interrupting at awkward points, right when I'm getting comfortable

Recently read some articles/responses from devs and, OW was meant to be an MMO?!? HUH??

So OW was like the first step, then PVE (OW2), and the final goal was to make OW an MMO, (basically what project Titan was originally)???

I... I can't even picture OW as an mmo??? Lmao.

(If anything, Valorant and "project T" seems more like project Titan at this point...)

All the usual eff off to corperate mismanagement and greed, and knowing we could of gotten an MMO-level of lore for OW? That one hurts knowing that depth is never coming, OW's story deserves better than dinky London-Uprising-style events.

Does this also mean that Tracer's whole time distortion thing (she's the mascot after all) was going to be linked to the MMO having multiple of the same character on screen at once? I mean, even Sigma talks about dimensions-- different timelines could be used to explain it. And with omnics originally being aliens in the concepts? Sounds to me the og idea was like some timey whimey earth army used to save the earth from invading aliens. Or maybe the aliens 'broke time' which explains the multiples. Who knows.

Again, looking at Valorant's lore and knowing that some people that worked on OW are now working on Valorant and Project T, it makes you wonder where the OW story was going to head.

You are correct! I do not care about Valentines day. I find it to be a not only a waste of time, but a holiday primarily fueled by pointless corperate greed with very little of the equally pointless emotional aspect.

Lockwood and Co

I am literally heartbroken. I wake up with cramps, a headache, and then see the news that Lockwood and Co has been cancelled.

This show got me to read the books and fall in love with the world. Now I know what we've lost.

We'll never see Holly or Kipps getting character development and La Belle Dame and Lucy alone and the development of Locklyle-and a thousand other things.

So many shows I love have been screwed over or never even developed after the rights have been bought.

The Owl House, Julie and The Phantoms, The Hollow, Anne With an E, The Aru Shah Movie, The Wings Of fire tv show, The Lunar Chronicles tv show.

Netflix had every reason to renew the show. It was 1# in eight countries and in the top ten in eighteen.

Ali, Cameron and Ruby were the perfect trio. Joe Cornish brought to life the incredible story of Lockwood and Co. Jonathan Stroud's books got the recognition it deserved.

And Netflix. Netflix. Threw it all under the bus because of their fucking corperate greed.

Not every show will be the next stranger things and it doesn't need to be. But Netflix has made it very clear that they do not care about creativity or storytelling. Only a quick cash grab and statistics.

So when a beautiful show made with love is created, they cancel it. When a show depicting trauma and relationships is made. they cancel it.

But they give fucking multiple seasons and movies to shit like Emily In Paris and The Kissing Booth. It is profitable, it is acceptable.

This is a pattern. Again and again.

Netflix is so scared of Stranger Things, their biggest source of income, ending. That they are trying and failing to make something that will outlast it.

Well, fuck them.

What was their excuse again? It wasn't adding enough numbers?

Well, maybe you should have marketed it for fucks sake.

I am so tired. So afraid of starting new shows because this is what happens. Good storytelling and writing thrown out the window for cash, money. Because that is all the executives care about.

And this will keep on happening. More shows will get screwed over. More shows will get cancelled. And because people won't trust netflix anymore. It will become a fucking wasteland of cancelled shows and shitty movies.

I want to hope that Lockwood and Co will get picked up by another studio. But it isn't likely.

So what we can do, Lock Nation. Is keep on watching, keep on reblogging, keep on making our fanart and edits. If only to spite netflix. Support the WGA writers strike. Make them pay.

This fandom may be small, but I believe that we can make the show 1# again by rewatching non stop. And making netflix regret the day they decided to mess with our comfort show.
