🌟🍉Wafaa Nasr's Family Story
My name is Riham Nasr, on behalf of my family. I am reaching out to you.
My family is facing unimaginable challenges in Gaza, where war has destroyed everything. To survive and rebuild, my family must leave Gaza and find safety and support in a new country.
This journey is urgent and essential for our future. Your compassion and generosity can help them escape the horrors of war, reunite as a family, and start a new life.
Tumblr media
My mother, Wafaa, was the heart of our family, caring for my siblings (Mashael, Amal, Khaled, and Mohammed) and me with strength and devotion. We had dreams for the future. But everything changed on October 7, when war devastated our homeland. My family was besieged many times, barely escaping each time.
Tumblr media
The violence took away our home. our safety, and tragically, my youngest brother Khaled.
Khaled, our youngest, was full of joy, with a bright future ahead. But war is merciless, and on one of the darkest days, we lost him in a bombing. He passed away at Shifaa Hospital on February 8, leaving a wound in our hearts that will never heal—a painful reminder of the cruelty of conflict and the fragility of life.
The documentation of my brother's death was documented on Al Jazeera Channel here
Tumblr media
In the North, my mother and brother live in the ruins of our home, and my sister Amal and her baby are stuck in a tent in the South without means to meet their basic needs, struggling for food, medicine, and survival.
Since then, our family has been shattering. My mother and brother Mohammed remain in northern Gaza, living in the rubble without shelter or basic needs.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My pregnant sister Amal is alone in the south with her baby Ghala without any help, all by her own, struggling in the tent
My sister Amal's story began on October 13, when her home was targeted by an F-16 missile. She was in the second month of her pregnancy with Ghala and had to be displaced. At that time, there were no transportation options, so she walked 14 kilometers to reach a safe place. Their car was destroyed, and she no longer had a home. She moved into the homes of friends and relatives. During her pregnancy, she contracted hepatitis three times—twice while pregnant and once after Ghala was born, which prevented her from breastfeeding. The illness lasted for three weeks, during which Amal couldn’t eat or even drink water, causing her milk to dry up. Ghala had to start drinking formula from the second week of my illness. In addition to suffering from living in tents, she has been living in a tent since November of last year.
The tragedy has not ended. Ghala has grown and reached the most difficult stage for children, the crawling phase, where they explore the world by putting things in their mouths. She crawls towards the sand and puts whatever she finds there, including sand, in her mouth. She has now contracted a disease from the sand, which is filled with germs, and there are no medicines or deworming treatments available in pharmacies or hospitals. She has also suffered from a fungal infection that has recently spread among children, known as "the wandering pimple," which is a bacterial infection that affects both children and adults.
The suffering has not ended, as Ghala begins her first steps in life in an unhealthy environment filled with pollution, diseases, and epidemics, with no access to proper treatment.
Tumblr media
As for me, I lost my job, my laptop, my source of income, and my workspace. I have managed to escape to Egypt after 5 months of war and I am waiting for my visa papers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
My brother Mohammed suffers severe leg injuries from the bombings, but due to limited medical resources, his condition worsens.
Tumblr media
Our goal is to raise enough funds to support our family’s relocation to Canada, where we can finally find peace and stability after years of suffering. This project will directly fund:
Our immediate goal is to raise $50,000, which will cover these expenses and allow us to start rebuilding our lives. Every donation, no matter the amount, will bring us one step closer to safety and a new beginning.
I am fully committed to reuniting my family and giving us the chance to live in peace. This campaign reflects that dedication, and I reach out to you because I believe in the power of community and compassion to create change.
Our timeline for this project is urgent. We hope to raise the necessary funds within the next two months to ensure that my mother, my sister Amal, her girl Ghala, and my brother Mohammed can leave Gaza as soon as possible.
Note: I reposted it again after deletion for unknown reseasons

Hamas just released its proposal for a permanent ceasefire. Israel has dismissed all of their proposals as “unrealistic” — and that has been echoed across the U.S. corporate media.
Here are the actual proposals from each side.

Abdallah is an under appreciated hero in Palestine doing everything he can to care for and feed the animals around him.
Tumblr media
Despite the horrible situation the Palestinian people are in, so many of them are taking care of animals just as much as their fellow humans. If you have anything to give, please consider donating to his PayPal and help him care for these innocent beings.
Tumblr media
If you are unable to donate then please PLEASE reblog and share. He is a very kind soul and grateful for all the support he gets
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He genuinely does everything he can for them, do at least the bare minimum for him.

You know what hits me hard? When 5 to 6 year old children, all the way in Southeast Asia, knows about what's happening in Palestine right now. That children their age is getting bombed, that they're starving to death, that they're getting shot at, and sniped in the head. Because, just this past 2 or so months, I heard some of the little ones in the Kindergarten classes I'm TAing in as an Intern talk about it. Hell, one of the little boys downright said he didn't like Israel, because Israel is bad, because they do scary things. Another was questioning whether Palestine was bad too, because, "why else would they shooting at them?". A little girl in one of my classes doesn't want to finish her food at all, because she wants to save at least half her meat and rice for kids in Palestine, because she heard that, they don't have food. And that's just the ones I remember. Namely the inciting cases before their classmates slowly follow suit. The littles are fricking SCARED. We had to sit these kids down, and tell them that the topic is too mature for them at the moment, that they shouldn't even be concerned because they're KINDERGARTNERS, they're not even old enough to properly understand. The one teacher I was TAing for had to make a class announcement saying that. What gets me is, these are 5 to 6 year olds, the youngest I've worked with in this specific age group is 4. 5 years old on average, and they've already been exposed to the worst horrors genocide has to offer through the news and snippets of conversation among adults and hell, considering how many of them say they like to play games on Mama's phone, or their IPad, even from fricking social media. And the fact that, these literal babies, from all the way in Cambodia, has more empathy in their entire body and soul, than full grown fricking adults have in the nail of their pinky finger, gets me. FFS we as adults could LEARN from them I feel sometimes. I honestly don't know what to feel about it anymore. On the one hand, this is the next generation I'm working with. And if the next generation's default response to a tragedy such as Palestine, is what I've seen come up on occasion so far? Perhaps there's some bloody hope for this world after all. At least in this country. Especially since a majority of them already come from families who survived a genocide. These are the 3rd - 4th generation descendants of those who survived the Khmer Rouge. They've got grandparents at home, who no doubt are more than intimately familiar with what Palestine is going through right now. And it shows.
But on the other, it makes my heart sink because these are CHILDREN, these are LITTLE KIDS, they should be playing with their toys and watching cartoons and talking to their friends about everything from Spiderman to Speakerman to Kuromi and her friends, and be worried about whether or not they can go to playground that day, guranteed they're well behaved, or if Mama remembered to pack in their costume for swimming lessons that week. NOT JUST MY KIDS. But the little ones in Palestine too. They deserve better. They all deserve, so much better. Hell, it's come to the point that whenever I look at my kiddos right now, whether they'd be working in class, playing, doing something as mundane as eating lunch or getting ready for their nap. I think of the children their age in Palestine that didn't even get the chance to survive. I think of the ones whose memories from this age, is nothing but absolute horror and pain, rather than what has slowly become my normal, who never got to experience what my littles do on a daily basis right now.
Children shouldn't even be concerned about "War", about a Genocide. The last thing that should be on a 5 year old's mind, is pain, and suffering, and the worst horrors imaginable ever to be inflicted on a human being. ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S INFLICTED, ON OTHER CHILDREN THEIR AGE. And for that alone, the world has failed them. Especially the kids in Palestine who didn't ask for any of this. They just wanted to carry on with life as kids do, the same way as my littles do on a daily basis no doubt, learning, playing, chatting with friends over their favourite cartoons and characters, worrying about whether they'd get to go to the playground or not that day.
I apologize for talking about this on this blog. I know my blog tends to be lighter in feel, a lot more unhinged and light hearted typically. I mean, I'm just a fricking nerd who likes to draw and write, and lurk about her favourite fandoms to consume and support what is shared among other nerds who also like to draw and write. But I couldn't stop thinking about it. About contemplating it, especially since I'll be back on a roll tomorrow, working with my kiddos again after not seeing them for 5 days straight because of Holidays. And, I just had to talk about it. This is something I felt I couldn't keep to myself this time, I don't think my soul'd be able to carry it. I had to talk about it.
FREE PALESTINE. Our children deserve better.

🌟🤚🏼Urgent Update
Hello, my friends,
As you know, after the announcement of the ceasefire, they started the demolition process around Shifa Hospital. We urgently need to move my brother Khaled's grave from the area surrounding the hospital, which is being demolished, as shown in the attached video, and purchase a new grave for him in a better location. The cost of this relocation may exceed $400 USD.
🚨🚨🚨 Please share this post as it is an urgent matter and help us collect donations as quickly as possible.

Today, Jordan airdropped food for Gaza. Most of it landed in the sea as fisherman went by boat to grab the bags. The food was sealed and everything was packed tightly for the possibility of it dropping in the sea so the food was edible but this is not enough. 4 planes for 2.1 million people is not enough. We need a ceasefire now and for the thousands of trucks that are blocked at the border to enter before this catastrophe continues to take lives.

The thing I don't understand is when I say free Palestine, so many people think that means I hate the Israeli people. That I don't care if they die.
I care about the Israeli people.
I care about the Israeli hostages that were shot down by their own military.
I care about all Israeli hostages in general.
I care about the Israeli men being thrown in jail because they refuse to assist in the "war" around them.
I care about the Israeli people who don't support the genocide happening infront of their very eyes.
Even the Israeli people who do, I don't wish death upon them, or whatever hateful thing you think I do.
When I say free Palestine, I don't mean I hate the Israeli people.
When I say free Palestine, I mean Free Palestine
