Here's a piece I intended to draw as a proper 30th anniversary celebration pic, but finished way past that time. It's also kind of a redraw of that one shot from the 2019 trainwreck of a "film", which is fitting in this context where the pair are old, given how undynamic & rigid they look lol

Overall just something sweet I illustrated based on this really cute idea of mine where basically, Simba & Nala step down from their royal duties when they reach a certain age, then eventually leave the Pride Lands altogether to spend their retirement in the jungle, the one where the two turtle-doves first reunited.

There, they'd get occasional visits from their children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Although Timon & Pumbaa would be long gone by that point, newest generations of Timon's colony (that had settled there since the events of the 1½ film), as well as other jungle neighbours, would keep the old pair company at times.

At the end of each day, the old king & queen, resting on a hill, would huddle against one another, as they watch the sun set on their time. <3

Yanno what, because I'm a cruel witch, I'm thinking of having Nala die first, to contrast with Sarabi losing her husband muhahahaha

I recently watched The Lion King (INCREDIBLE movie/musical btw) because even though I saw it as a kid like everyone else and their parents in the 90s but I only watched it like three times because my sisters and I were never that into it. I knew the general plot like “Oh Simba will be king Mufasa dies Hakuna Matata blah blah blah” but I didn’t really remember the movie.

So I’m watching the movie with my mom and e we get to Can You Feel the Love Tonight and like. Oh my god. It is SO DAMN REYLO CODED.

🦁“The Lion King” is extremely special to me. It was the first movie I saw in theaters (as a baby), and I have adored it ever since. I watched it so much that I memorized the entire movie from beginning to end, and used to play the whole thing out with my toys (songs included).🦁

So after @nattule29 made this REALLY CUTE ANIMATIC after I proposed this idea I couldn’t just not try and draw this myself (seriously tho their art is so fucking cute aaaa pls support them PLEASE)

It's been a while and I was working nonstop for almost a fucking week, haven't had a chance to write, so have a preview of the other things I've written since last time.

It's real Snow White hours, and the comparison Malleus is making to Yuu (ewe) with Silver is deliberate. I keep making it a point, but Beast Tamer EX is just another way of saying Disney Princess. Just being in their presence makes for a different experience.

Also you can imagine this little tune playing for part of the scene cuz I often go back to this track cuz of how much I like it. The birdies and Floof often switch to this when they're not Whistle While You Work-ing lmao.

Mallyuu is real, and this is legit a budding romance. You got Malleus ignoring he has magic to help manually clean and Floof not reminding him either cuz she likes spending time with him.
