Dez really likes the scent of mint (and also eats mints/chews mint gum peppermint not wintergreen). I imagine Indigo having a citrusy smell from body wash.

Since Sloane likes lavender I imagine Carolina started using lavender scented shampoo. Also, lots of lavender soaps and candles.

Milo I think would probably have some super strong smelling cologne that gets its smell all over everything. He thinks it smells good, as for anyone else? Not so much 😅

I imagine Eloise and Hana really liking floral smells. Lots of flowers in their house. Gardenias, roses, lilies the works. I would imagine they both use some kind of floral perfume, but with a softer smell.

Elaine loves the smell of the ocean and tries to visit the beach whenever possible. I imagine Liam enjoying the smell of baked bread and baking scents in general (if that makes sense), reminding him of baking with his mother.

Similar to Liam, Lennox and Kate enjoy the smell of baked goods. You’d think they’d be tired of it after working in a bakery all day, but they both have a major sweet tooth. I imagine they still bake at home.

Jade likes the smell of cinnamon and strong smells in general. Naomi enjoys fresh air, nature, and just the smell of the outdoors, bringing her back to her time living on her family’s ranch.

So for Valentine my mind keeps coming back to this really gross smelling candle we had where I used to work that was a Halloween themed scent. I can’t even describe what it smelled like other than strong and gross, but I feel like he’d be into that? Also, herbs and spices. I imagine he’d join Ava on her witchy endeavors.

Marella likes the smell of typical bubble gum, cotton candy, and really any candy related scent. For some reason I imagine Andy liking the smell of movie theater popcorn. Those two probably watch a bunch of ridiculous movies together, so buttery popcorn is a common smell.

Cassie actually likes the smell of garlic. She’s also one that likes smells that remind her of cooking and happier times with her parents. She remembers eating large, strong smelling meals with her family. Garlic reminds her of her favorite garlic and butter noodles. The smell of hay and the forest remind Imogen of her beloved horse. I still picture her to be a major horse girl. Maybe opening up a rescue for them after the story. She also wears fancy perfume, and she likes floral and vanilla scented ones.

Theo likes the smell of coffee and coffee grounds. They needs their coffee in the morning to wake up/stay awake after all nighters. Trystan likes the smell of books having read a lot when she was younger.

Ruelle is another who loves the smell of nature, the forest, the river rushing by. They’re all smells that she can carry with her to remind her of home, even if she’d rather keep on traveling than return. Nia likes the smell of roses and sweet pea. I imagine her gravitating more towards floral and springtime smells.

Charlotte likes the smell of chocolate, crisp air, and wood burning in the fireplace. She enjoys cozy nights in, in the winter. I think of Emma as a fall and pumpkin spice person for some reason, so fall smells.

I imagine both Lily and Olive are super chaotic, and their home probably doesn’t smell too great sometimes, when they’re in their apartment and not supervising the Shadow Den. Lily likes the smell of pizza and uses really outrageous toppings. Olive is pretty similar in liking food smells. Usually fast food/junk food, French fries, potato chips (sour cream and onion). Just because vampires don’t need food, doesn’t mean they don’t like smelling it.

I feel like I don’t “know” Erica and Amalia enough since I’m not too far into It Lives Within, but I’ll probably update this when I figure something out.

Elain and Lucien have been known to wear a mask or two, both physical and metaphorical. For @elucienweekofficial masks prompt, @cauldronblssd and I wanted to do our take on both! We imagine that Elain and Lucien have spent a long time denying the effects of the bond and their feelings for each other. In this commission by the_megabee33, they take off the masks to slip away at a masquerade ball. Of course for this fire and sunshine couple, things get heated quickly!

But he slept on.

Usually Lucien woke up before her.  But given his libidinous activities from last night…not even the bright sunlight could wake him, or the gentle, caressing hands of his mate.

Getting her memories back had been nothing short of a hassle as those missing pieces and floated around in her head finally began to connect as she slept, and when she awoke, there was something new that she recalled. Her sisters, that old cottage that barely fit them and their father, the Spring Court, Tamlin and Lucien, meeting Rhys at Calanmai, and now, remembering going back to Prythian so she could save the people she loved from Amarantha. With the clear knowledge that Nesta still thought they were just best friends, Feyre was quick to begin looking for Elain, wanting to profusely apologize to her older sister, the kindest one in their family, the one who loved gardening and flowers. As Feyre moves around the town in a hurry, she catches the sight of Elain and pauses for a moment before hurrying over and wrapping her arms around her, a sob escaping as she turns her head away. "I'm so sorry for forgetting you and our family, I'm so sorry."

Just wanted to share my two TRR characters.

Elaine Durand is up top, and she’s romancing Liam. Eloise Park, below, is her friend that went with her because she thought it was super sketchy that Elaine was just running off with some random dudes she just met to another country. Eloise ends up falling for Hana.

Eloise never intended to stay, but after meeting Hana and wanting to help clear her friend’s name, she ended up sticking around Cordonia.

I feel like their friendship might be tested a little bit, especially during the unity tour when Elaine is being over the top nice to some people that Eloise doesn’t oesnt really think deserve it. She gets that Elaine has to convince them to join the tour to show strength and unity, but I feel like Eloise gets to a certain point that she just can’t be around that.

For Elaine, even though she might feel the same way, she doesn’t really have a choice. The more out of control and dangerous things get closer to Elaine and Liam’s wedding, I imagine them reconciling. They stay close and visit each other often.

Though I haven’t talked about Elaine as much, she’s an only child of two super in love parents which gave her a kind of unrealistic, fairy tale view of love. She definitely felt love at first sight towards Liam. She then realizes that relationships require a bit more work, but she wouldn’t give up what she has with Liam for anything. She’s also very supportive and encourages him to open up about his pain and struggles.

I love both Elaine and Eloise a lot, and I would eventually like to explore my version of TRR with two characters. Probably just some headcannons, but we’ll see.

(Eloise’s hair and outfit are from Home for the Holidays because that’s the closest I can get to what her hair looks like. Wish I could give her freckles too. Elaine looks pretty close to how I imagine her.)

Does not make sense in my brain that Feyre doesn't know how to read or pronounce a bunch of different words and the book is written in fairly descriptive first person perspective.

Sounds a tad elitist, but congnitive dissonance is all it is. I understand that just because I can say the word "position" doesn't mean I can attach the sounds to the letters of the word when I read it on a page. But it's weird to be reading words like "crimson" from her perspective when she probably couldn't read it off a page herself. Also, she's lived in poverty for so long; does she realistically know a lot of the words she uses in her perspective? This comes up in the same chapter. "I searched for the word in the half-forgotten part of my mind. Mural. That's what it was (114)." But she's got no trouble meandering through the labyrinths of books both in front of her and on the mezzanine dangling above. Seems like Maas picks and chooses when Feyre does and doesn't know words she may (or may not) have heard and/or known in her small time as a wealthy kid. And "meandering" is a word you pick up almost exclusively by reading!! Who SAYS that in common speech??

It's just an aspect of Feyre's character that makes me think it'd be better if this was written in third person pov. Anyhoo. I keep writing this to avoid reading. Back to trucking through.
