me seeing a job listing for a job in romance publishing, which is basically my dream job, with a salary that's higher than my current salary, advertised as remote, and that i'd probably have a solid shot at getting due to my current level of work experience: 👀
me clicking on it and seeing, as i knew it would be, because every job in my industry is, that it's in fucking london, and "remote" actually means "you have to come into the office in central london at least two days a week even though literally every part of this job could be done from home, making it completely inaccessible unless you want to uproot your whole life, move halfway across the country and live in a shoe cupboard*:

#as there are posts about Jim at the mo may as well post this#the bit about Jim’s current life in the Hunter Davies book#he retired earlier than the other parents#but that’s to. be expected - he was older#‘like all the Beatle parents he has an account from which he can take anything he likes’#(is that contradicted by Mini’s letter in the 70s?)#and Mike said recently that he and Paul both moved to London when Paul bought their dad the house#so not sure if he moved back or if Mike is misremembering#in the recent interview#either way - I know the Asher’s house was nice but it’s baffling that he lived in that little attic room#but bought this amazing house for his dad#maybe it’s a ‘treat your elders right’ thing#and I guess he was touring a lot so needed it less#or maybe the difference with the others was that they were all buying houses to move in with their other half#and Paul didn’t want to make that commitment nor live alone at that point

This revival genuinely seems like the most fun they’ve ever had making content together. It’s so clear that they are actually enjoying having a joint channel again. Regardless if they’re broke or not I’m really happy that they didn’t force themselves to come back earlier but waited until they knew they would be able to really stick with it again and have fun collaborating on a regular basis. (Also they’re so gay now geez)
i’m obsessed with this narrative that they’re broke 😂 but i genuinely think they’re back cos they wanna be and they’ve gone through the healing journeys and the coming out journeys like you said they it’s clear they’re enjoying this! and i think they always did enjoy it but (otherwise i doubt they’d bring it back) obviously the big gay secret was getting too much!
but they’re back now and the can be as unfiltered as they want and it’s a beautiful thing
