I don't like spending money but boy do I not regret splurging on some tea I like for work. I love taking a tea brewing break but I'm tired of drinking the same meh Twinings Earl Grey everyday because the other options are only Lipton teas which are, if I may, fucking disgusting

Amazon is such a garbage website we need a replacement for this thing asap. It's got so many tricky buttons and auto-checked boxes it's like navigating one of those sketchy streaming sites back in the 2010s

Went to a market today that had dried citrus filled with pu erh tea; not only did they have it, they had several types. The urge to get some and try it was quite high, but it's a bit pricey and I want to look up more information about it (just saw my first video about it recently so I still know very little). Instead I bought a big canister of jasmine green tea (with flowers because it's far superior to just scented leaves), some lunar new years decorations, and some treats to try. Going to test the tea out tomorrow and see if I picked a good one; there were twenty different brands and I got a bit overwhelmed because unlike my favorite place this one doesn't have any samples on display.

Benefits of Organic Green Tea
Yes, you're correct! Green tea is known for its high concentration of antioxidants, particularly catechism, which are a type of polyphenol. These antioxidants help to neutralize harmful free radicals in the body, reducing oxidative stress and protecting cells from damage. This can have a positive impact on overall health, including supporting the immune system and reducing the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and certain types of cancer.
Tumblr media
Organic green tea is grown without the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers, making it a more natural option compared to conventionally grown tea that may be exposed to these chemicals. Choosing organic green loose leaf tea can reduce the risk of ingesting harmful chemicals and potential adverse health effects associated with pesticide exposure.
The process of making green tea, which involves steaming or pan-firing the leaves to prevent oxidation, helps to retain the natural compounds and nutrients in the leaves, including catechism, vitamins, and minerals. These nutrients can provide various health benefits, such as supporting bone health, aiding in digestion, and promoting healthy skin.
Absolutely! Organic green tea is known to provide numerous health benefits. The high levels of antioxidants, particularly catechism, present in organic green tea help to reduce the risk of various diseases including cancer, heart disease, and viral infections. The anti-inflammatory properties of green tea can also help with arthritis and improve bone density. Green tea has been shown to have a positive effect on blood pressure and heart health, and its consumption may aid in weight loss due to its metabolism-boosting properties. Green tea is also known for its calming effects, which can help reduce stress and slow down the aging process. Additionally, being a lower-caffeine alternative to coffee, green tea can provide a gentle energy boost without the jittery effects of caffeine. Overall, incorporating organic green tea into a healthy lifestyle can provide a range of health benefits for the body and mind.
How Do You Know It's Really Organic?
You are absolutely right! The demand for organic products, including green tea, has increased significantly in recent years due to growing awareness about health, environmental, and social concerns. However, ensuring that the organic green tea you are buying is authentic and certified can be challenging, especially when it comes from different countries with varying organic standards and certification authorities.
In the major green tea producing countries like China, India, Indonesia, and Kenya, there are efforts by some growers to adopt organic practices for ecological, business, and health reasons. However, certification standards and authorities can vary widely within and across countries. Some certification programs are government-sponsored, while others may be corporate or non-profit. There are also international organizations that offer common standards to promote standardization and consumer confidence.
However, it's also important to note that obtaining organic certification can be costly for small-scale tea farmers, especially in developing countries. Some small-scale tea farmers may practice organic farming methods but may not have the resources to go through the certification process. In such cases, it's
Always good to do research and purchase from trusted sources or directly from farmers who follow organic practices but may not have certification.
In conclusion, while there may be challenges in ensuring the authenticity of organic green tea due to varying standards and certifications, looking for reputable certifications and supporting sustainable and ethical tea producers can help ensure that you are getting a genuine organic product that aligns with your health and environmental values.

PG Tips uses unbleached compostable paper in their stringless, tagless pyramid tea bags. It's part of why I typically buy their tea (besides classic taste). Celestial Seasonings also similarly has unbleached tagless paper tea bags if you can look past it being ran by a cult.
