I have sewed a few more blocks from the beach quilt, and I repaired a stuffed animal for a neighbor (no pictures because it's not my stuffed animal), but crafting updates might be a little sparse for the next week or so? I have a short week at work this week, a lot of work to get done, and I am getting my covid booster this week (we'll see how that goes lol)

Seeing on TikTok that Republicans are trying to get Kamala pulled from the ticket via the Dred Scott case and being like this has to be a lie, there's no fucking way that any Republican on earth is this dumb only to see my insanely stupid second cousin repost a shitty pixelated meme supporting it on Facebook with "damn right, proud that we know and respect our history"

Hey y'all! Weird question time again, this time (for once) not that weird lol
Do you have any recommendations, advice, or links to guides on how to clean plushies, stuffed animals, or dolls*? I want to get more into fixing plushies but I am very sensitive to a lot of different scents so I need to be able to clean them before I can start even potentially having people send me plushies to fix
I've fixed a few plushies for neighbors, but when it comes to cleaning plushies I pretty much know "throw it in the washing machine" or "spot clean with a damp cloth" and surely there has to be something in the middle of that spectrum. I'm also totally okay with the kind of plushie cleaning that involves removing their fluff, washing them, and giving them new fluff, I just don't know where to start
*I know dolls are their own thing but I think there might be overlap

reminder that shopify cant force shop owners to give out refunds after they fail to ship a product and ignore over 20 attempts to contact them so they can tell you its your banks problem and not theirs that they arent trying to protect customers, and that its MY problem i got scammed on THEIR platform
i wont fucking forget what you took from me shopify, im not using your services again, fuck you for making me pay money just so i could talk to your useless ass staff who were "working on it". one of your sellers commited fraud, you take money out of peoples pockets who think you'll help them make said money having their products up when they can just go on ebay, etsy, or even facebook marketplace to sell it for free without fees
no i will not be hearing you out, they took over 250+ dollars out of my pocket i could've used to buy food with they wouldnt give me back, i hope whoever sold me that "bike" gets put behind bars. my bank could not infact get me my refund, that it was indeed entirely your job to confront someone misusing your platform. fuck you and fuck your fake ass AI support staff

It sucks because facebook kinda sucks but SO MANY groups that offer local assistance programs, networking, mutual aid, etc are on facebook. Buy nothing groups, queer friendly housing groups, neighborhood cleanup projects, etc- not all of them but a LOT of them are facebook groups. Like genuinely if you are in need of kitchen supplies or want to organize a park trash pickup day, or whatever, facebook can actually be a great place to do this

My aunt was telling me they were coming out with a Futurama Movie and wanted to show me the trailer and y'all....
It was AI Ryan Reynolds but with bright orange hair and freaky ass AI Leela. She keeps watching these ai videos and keeps believing they're real until I tell her otherwise
