I have sewed a few more blocks from the beach quilt, and I repaired a stuffed animal for a neighbor (no pictures because it's not my stuffed animal), but crafting updates might be a little sparse for the next week or so? I have a short week at work this week, a lot of work to get done, and I am getting my covid booster this week (we'll see how that goes lol)

Hey y'all! Weird question time again, this time (for once) not that weird lol Do you have any recommendations, advice, or links to guides on how to clean plushies, stuffed animals, or dolls*? I want to get more into fixing plushies but I am very sensitive to a lot of different scents so I need to be able to clean them before I can start even potentially having people send me plushies to fix I've fixed a few plushies for neighbors, but when it comes to cleaning plushies I pretty much know "throw it in the washing machine" or "spot clean with a damp cloth" and surely there has to be something in the middle of that spectrum. I'm also totally okay with the kind of plushie cleaning that involves removing their fluff, washing them, and giving them new fluff, I just don't know where to start *I know dolls are their own thing but I think there might be overlap

I've seen a lot of uncritical Americans say that "well, of course TikTok is banned it was spreading misinformation and gathering your data!" which yeah it was, but so does every other social media. The US government didn't want TikTok banned because of some noble purpose, they wanted it banned because they couldn't control what data it was gathering and what misinformation it was feeding (although it was the same right wing misinformation that Twitter and Meta feed you lmao) which is WHY they wanted to buy it on the first place with the idea that it was feeding you "Chinese propaganda" (what?), like sorry, but this was so transparent, don't act like it wasn't. Once they ban all social media, including the ones based in the US, over spreading misinformation and privacy breaches, they can preach to the choir.
