Went to the Loft tonight for dinner. It’s been a couple of years since I was there last. I got the salmon ravioli. It sounded really good. At first, the sauce tasted a little funky, and I wasn’t sure if I liked it. The waitress asked me if it was good, when I was trying to figure it out, and I said yes it is. The ravioli was good. The sauce was not. I couldn’t tell what it was. Almost like there’s not enough salt or something? It was surprising since I really wanted to like it. I told the waitress that I didn’t actually like it. I had eaten half of the ravioli, but not much of the sauce. She asked if she could comp it, but I apparently ate too much of it to do that. She asked what do you want me to do about it? That was an odd question. She didn’t have to comp it, maybe tell the chef about it instead. Or give me a free dessert or something. My parent’s calamari was cold. So, another not good thing. I did get their brownie sundae. That was good. It was almost like fudge. They might have taken the dessert off the bill. Not the best tonight. They also took a while to get the food out. It might be a while before we go back to it.

incredible to me that in the age of spending minimum $100 for groceries for one person every three weeks where i live, people are still online like "dairy is bad for you because it has a lot of calories". at this point im calculating calories per dollar at the grocery store and youre still stuck in "fat bad" mindset from 1980. you are an absurd person to me. laughable

Went to Hops and Drops for dinner last night. Shared their fried pickles. We wanted the fried cauliflower, but apparently they aren’t offering that anymore. The cauliflower was like the best one. The pickles mostly stayed in the fry this time, instead of slipping out. They were better than the last time I had them. I got their Big Tony’s BBQ Mac. I asked for it without bacon and carnitas. It was basically just a lot of bbq sauce, penne pasta, cheese, and a little bit of onions. The onions were supposed to be caramelized, but they weren’t. It was ok. I think it had too much sauce, and probably would have been better without the onions. It came with ‘buttered’ pita slices. They didn’t taste buttered. They were a little weird. I had half of the mac and cheese and half of the pita slices. Had the other half for lunch today.

The bust of a middle aged man made out of butter was sitting on my bathroom counter. It turned and began to scream at me, but the scream was utterly silent. Everything was so silent. I was so frightened of the butter bust.
