His mood drastically dampened as he continued to hold you, but then you spoke up again

you rise from his arms, pushing yourself up so you can look at him. You smile at him, warm and full of love, as you tell him: "Because, you are my world."

for a moment, he's too stunned to speak. Then, he closes his eyes and lets out a chuckle, relieved to hear that and overwhelmingly happy right now

He catches you in his arms again and kisses you, holding you as close to him as humanly possible, not wanting to ever let you go again..

Kaeya

he's usually not one to fall for such tricks. No, rather, he's the one who gets people into doing them, watching the scenes unfold in the chaos afterwards

but for reasons, this one hits a bit too close to home for his taste

choosing between saving one or the other.. it's not a situation he'd want to wish upon anyone, knowing first hand just how bad it feels to be forced to decide eventually

he tries to forget about it, pushes it to the back of his mind, but it's like the heavens are mocking him, as he sees couple after couple who'd ask each other this damned question

and almost every time, he'd see them happily fall into each others arms when they get confirmation from their partner that they'd choose them

it filled the Cavalry Captain with some sort of longing... a feeling he couldn't quite describe, but he wanted this for himself, too

so, he decided, that on his next outing with you, he'd just go ahead and shoot his shot, asking you the same thing. What could possibly go wrong, right?

you'd invited Kaeya over tonight for dinner, to which he obviously enthausiastically agreed to

the two of you had some fun goofing around, playfully throwing things at each other before you actually did the cooking together

while the food was boiling on the stove and there was a quiet moment, Kaeya felt that now was the time to ask you

"Hey, (Name).. I got a question for you."

"Shoot.", you'd answer, still focused on cleaning up, but waiting for Kaeya to ask what he wanted to

"It's just.. If you'd had to choose.. would you choose me? Or the world?"

you scoff, a smile on your lips, and without hesitation you answer "Obviously, the world."

"Oh.", Kaeya answers, his mood sinking by the second. He can't really blame you for your answer, but he can't help but be a bit disappointed

however, the next second, he feels your arms snaking around him, pulling him into a hug. "Because you are my world, dummy."

Kaeya is stunned for a second, but he quickly feels that warm feeling rising in his chest again, that you always seem to trigger in him

he hugs you back, burrying his face into your hair as he holds you close to him, the food forgotten for this moment

"Thank you", he whispers, his arms ever so slightly tightening around you. He didn't realise how desperately he'd needed this confirmation from you until now...

Diluc

Diluc is a man who often thinks of himself as unworthy and undeserving of your love and affection

he's flawed, broken, a fragment of the person he once was. He can't find anything good within himself, so he can't fathom you seeing him in a different light entirely

you love him, regardless of his broken self. Even more so, you help him in trying to overcome this feeling. You heal his very soul, with you, he finally feels complete again

but despite that, he still has his moments of doubt, but you're always quick to shut such thoughts down again

Diluc truly adores you, with everything he has. No matter what you want or ask of him, he'll personally see to it that you get what you asked for

You want some new clothes? Already bought. You want to spend time with him? His schedule is cleared out minutes later. You want his love? You already have it

but the doubt still gnaws in his mind today, not letting him focus on the good aspects of your lives together

it was a quiet evening at Dawn Winery. The Staff had gone to bed already but you were sitting on a couch in front of a fireplace, the fire crackling peacefully, while you read a book

Diluc was walking down the stairs, looking for you when he spotted you there, looking as stunning as ever

His heart clenched in his chest when he saw you, and that irresistable desire to be close to you took ahold of him

he carefully approaches you and slowly snakes his arms around you from behind, hidding his face in the crock of your neck where he breathes in your scent, calming down his mind a bit, but the thoughts are still racing in him

you chuckle a bit and raise a hand to play with his hair, while you kept part of your attention on your book still

the both of you stayed like that for a few minutes, before you closed your book and adressed your lover

"Why don't you sit down with me? It must be uncomfortable like this."

but Diluc remains where he is, totally content right now. And yet, something still gnaws on his mind..

"Love.. if there were ever a situation in which you'd have to choose.. would you save the entire world? Or me?"

if he were to be asked the same question, his answer now would be different compared to if he would have been asked that before meeting you

before, he would not have hesitated and saved the world. Eradicating all evil to save everyone else sounded like the right thing to do.

but now? Diluc was certain that he could not live in a world without you in it. He'd sacrifice anything and everything for you, even the entire world

you chuckle lightly, still playing with his hair. "I'd choose the world. Without a second thought. Because you are my world. And I wouldn't want it to be any other way."

hearing you say that eased his mind, his hold around you growing stronger. It was a relief for him to hear you thinking about him the same way he does about you

with little to no effort, he picks you up from your spot on the couch and carries you all the way to the bedroom, where the two of you cuddle well into the night, unitl none of you can stay awake any longer. And even in your sleep, he holds you close, thinking that maybe, it's okay to love you, that you were meant to be together...

Zhongli

even as a god who's lived for thousands of years, there seems to be new things to learn still, with every single passing day

and since you entered his life, the things he learns have become all the more interesting to him

every little detail about you has been committed to his memory, never to be forgotten again. Zhongli never would have thought he could harbor such intense feelings for another being, much less a human, but he was proven wrong

only through you does he really learn to appreciate things that come with being human. He begins to take pleasure in the small things in life, his focus shifting from the greater good, and instead setting his sight on you, always aiming to make you feel as happy and appreciated as possible

after a bit of time, where he got to know you and trust you, he would also reveal the truth about himself to you

the moment you accepted him still, despite his true self, was the happiest Zhongli has felt in a long time. Now, whenenver it was just the two of you in private, he can let go of himself and allows himself to show some of his more draconic features around you

on one such day, the two of you were cuddled up on the couch, Zhongli laying on top of you, his arms around your body, his tail curling around one of your legs while you were stroking the horns protruding from his head

you were talking about mundane things, telling each other how your day has been going, but he really enjoyed listening to you

"Oh, I almost forgot! My coworker asked me something today that I found kind of ridiculous."

"Oh, really? What was that question, dearest?", Zhongli would inquire, interested but still resting comfortably on your chest

"Well, since she knows I'm in a relationship, she asked me if I would choose my lover over the entire world.", you laugh as you recall that conversation

suddenly, Zhongli's interest is peaked and he turns his head so he could look at you, a spark in his eyes

"And what did you answer?"

"Obviously, I picked the world. I mean, I don't think I could or really want to live without you at this point."

at that, Zhongli furrows his brows in confusion, your answer making no sense to him

he ponders about it a bit more, you laughing a bit at him, finding it cute that he didn't understand the implications of your words. So, you decide to just explain it to him

"It means that you are my world, Li. Nothing would feel right anymore if you weren't by my side."

the confusion now washed away, his gaze grew softer as he stared at you, love for you swelling in his chest, growing and growing until he couldn't take it anymore

with a low growl, he shot up and burried his face against your neck, his tail swaying back and forth behind him and you couldn't hold back the chuckle

"I love you, Darling.", he'd whisper against you. "with everything I am. My heart and soul will always belong to you."

Kate: Yes, sorry for keeping you waiting.

I thought back to something that happened a few nights ago—.

Liam: Sorry, did I wake you?

I was woken up by Liam’s gentle voice as he climbed into bed like a cat.

Kate: It’s okay, welcome back.

I reached my arms out to hug him and my eyes narrowed from the feeling of his body warmth, when—

Kate: … You smell nice.

There was a delicious smell coming from his clothes.

Kate: Did you eat something, Liam?

It wasn’t the first time he went out at night.

(Before we started dating, it seemed that he had to regularly go outside and satisfy his curiosity.)

The sound of his laughter in my ear filled me with joy once again.

I was sure he would be happy with anything if I were the one choosing or baking it.

Kate: There’s a cake shop over there.

The way he squinted as if dazzled by a bright light the moment I took his hand left an impression on me.

He paced around with light, cat-like steps while carrying me in his arms and suddenly stopped.

Liam: I’m not.

His lips didn't form a smile, causing me to feel guilty and reflect on my actions a few hours ago.

Kate: This is all we could get. Are you really okay with it, Liam?

Liam: Yeah. I like this cake better, actually.

The cake shop had such a busy day that only small cupcakes were left.

While I was thinking of wanting to somehow bring a birthday feeling to the moment, something caught my eye.

Kate: Liam, I’m going to get a little something from that shop over there.

Not wanting to disturb him while he was browsing other shops, I let go of his hand after saying that.

He frantically tried holding my hand again, but—

Kate: It’s okay, the shop’s just over there.

Since the shop was only a short distance away, I started walking towards it before he could grab my hand.

The instant I turned around after buying what I wanted,

Kate: … Liam?

There was a sudden crowd of people passing by and before I knew it, he was out of my sight.

Just as I was desperately searching for him in the crowd, I felt my body being lifted off the ground…

According to the hands on the clock, it was almost dawn. Yet, I still hadn't been able to say happy birthday to him.

As I was gently set down on the edge of the bed, I glaced up at him standing in front of me.

Seeing the sadness in his eyes caused guilt to well up in me again.

Liam: … Had I held your hand properly, you wouldn't have gotten lost.

Liam: There may be a lot of people here, but it’s still night time. Don’t stray too far from me, okay?

Feeling ashamed of myself, I once again held the hand I had let go off.

Kate: It’s not your fault, Liam! … I’m so sorry for worrying you.

His voice was trembling as he hugged me tightly, his eyes shaking.

Kate: … Okay.

While we were feeling each other's warmth,

Liam: ah…

He noticed the time and pulled away.

Liam: I didn’t realise it at all.

I took a cupcake and something else out of a paper bag and lit it.

It was a candle in the shape of a rose.

Kate: Happy birthday, Liam.

His eyes wavered as he accepted the cupcake.

Kate: I’m so happy to celebrate your birthday again this year.

Kate: Thank you for being born.

Liam: … You left to buy this?

I nodded with a wry smile, and he bit his lip before smiling softly and closing his eyes.

Liam: … Thank you, Kate.

Bit by bit, he started speaking the words he had been hiding in his heart.

Liam: Before I met you, I was always afraid of celebrating my birthday.

Liam: I used to think that as long as I never know what this happiness feels like, I won’t feel sad when it disappears.

I was reminded of the things he said when sharing his true feelings on his birthday last year.

Liam: I… I was terrified of being celebrated… and knowing how it feels to have a birthday with you in it…

Liam: I was foolish and all I could think of was the possibility of me losing all of that… it scared me.

Liam: But if I keep running away… I’ll be trampling all over your kindness and feelings.

Liam: I don't have any other option but to choose this moment, because I just love you so much.

The rose-shaped candle melted away, like it was shedding one petal at a time.

Liam: … There might come a day when, like this candle, all these happy moments will melt away.

Liam: But I can’t go back to spending birthdays without you, and I don't think I can ever let go of your hand.

He blew out the candle and it turned into something shaped like a flower bud.

Liam: Next year, the year after that, and until the day I die… will you celebrate my birthday by my side?

He brushed his finger across my lips as he made a wish for a future we had yet to see.

Kate: … Of course I will. I’ll be right here by your side, celebrating your birthday even if you say you don’t want me to.

Kate: I’ll keep doing that until the day you can finally say from the bottom of your heart that you’re glad you were born.

I heard a slight gasp as I pressed the cupcake to his lips.

Kate: Let’s eat, Liam.

I can’t save the person who lived through his painful past.

I was enveloped by the sweet smell of vanilla, tempting me to give into him on the spot, but—.

Kate: I want to give you your present!

I slipped out from under him and reached under the bed.

Liam: … Don’t tell me, you’ve been hiding it there?

I lifted up a large paper bag with two hands and showed it to him, who was still in shock on the bed.

Kate: You never noticed, did you?

Kate: Now close your eyes.

Following my instructions, he closed his eyes. I stood on the bed and swiftly ripped open the paper bag.

Liam: Wha…

He looked up and at the same time, a shower of flower petals rained down on him.

Liam: Wow… petals!?

The pink petals fell over his head like blessings, scattering onto the white sheets.

In an instant, Liam and the bed were covered in petals. I couldn't contain my smile of satisfaction.

Kate: These are the petals of the modern roses you’ve always been giving me.

Kate: I thought of expressing my gratitude by giving you a bouquet.

Kate: But apparently, pink roses have another meaning to them.

Liam: Another meaning…?

I picked up one petal from his head.

Kate: It means “happiness”.

Kate: I wanted to shower you with petals signifying gratitude and happiness, because you’ve given me an abundance of them.

Sitting on the bed surrounded by the smell of roses, he fell silent for a moment before chuckling and squinting his eyes as though faced with a bright light.

Liam: I truly am so blessed.

I leaned in and was about to kiss his forehead covered with rose petals, when—

Kate: Whoa!

Liam: Are you okay!?

I slipped and fell right into his chest.

Kate: T-this is embarrassing…

I got on my knees to support my body, he wrapped one arm around my waist and cupped my cheek with the other.

When I lifted my head, I saw that the light of dawn was starting to shine into the room.

Liam: I’ve always wanted to be a star.

Still smiling, he started to speak.

Liam: I thought that everyone would love me if I shined brightly enough. But then I realised, I can’t just turn into a star.

Liam: Because today, you’re the one shining so bright. I’ve always thought so, but you’re especially dazzling today.

(Ah…)

I recalled noticing him gazing at me while squinting his eyes as though dazzled by a bright light.

Liam: You gave me love that was once so out of reach for me, and made my days so bright with happiness that it’s almost terrifying.

Liam: The name of the brightest star in my world is Kate. It shines so brightly and is precious to me beyond words.

Liam: It’s you.

His smile as his joy and love overflowed was so bright, it made me squint my eyes.

There was a star right there before my eyes.

Kate: For me, you’re that star, Liam.

Kate: The person who brings me so much joy and love… you’re my brightest star.

We laughed together and it was soon dawn.

if you weren't good at taking pics before you started dating, his skills definitely rub off on you

he'll do the thing where he gets you to pose for him so he can take a photo of you and then you take the same style of photo for him

it's disgusting you guys have matching photos on your feeds of each other

if it wasn't already common knowledge that you guys are dating, i can imagine the conspiracy theory videos being like guys they were in the same place? at the same time? and they took the same type of pics? i think they're dating

he loves cooking with you (while i personally think it would be really funny if he can't cook, in some of the comics they do mention that he can cook, but either way he enjoys cooking with you)

you guys are like the parent friends who host dinner at their place and there's usually a theme surrounding seasonal ingredients and everything's plated really well

you probably watch cooking shows together and are now you can't serve a dish without some microgreens or sliced radish on top or something

also yes he did plan the picnic and he's quite proud of it

he watched all of those charcuterie board hacks to make the flowers and fancy cheese arrangements

and there were chocolate dipped strawberries, champagne with glasses, and freshly baked cookies (alfred might have helped with that one)

also yes he does wear glasses!!!! only at home when he's reading or staring at a screen too long. his prescription's not that bad

Magical machinations and battles ensue. The story is compelling and Bearblue controls the content of magical information absolutely beautifully, you're interest is captured, but you're not over whelmed with more information than what is required for the story she is telling. Again it has to be said. OMG!!! I have now read this fic over 500 times…and I mean that! Have read it once a week and sometimes 2 or 3 times a week for more than a decade.

Miranda discovers after the separation with Stephen that she is pregnant and as she copes with that Andy helps her and eventually Miranda proposes a mutually beneficial relationship...which Andy then proceeds to turn on its head almost immediately. Things follow on from there, when little Mandy meets Randa and they fall for each other as hard as Miranda falls for Andrea. Amazing fic.

Announcing QuinObi Week 2024!

What is QuinObi Week?

Glad you asked! QuinObi week is a time to celebrate the relationship between Quinlan Vos and Obi-Wan Kenobi. In a little bit of a divergence from last year, I'm directing things in more of a shippy way--but still broadly defined! Things like the following:

Committed romantic and/or sexual relationship

Friends with benefits

Queerplatonic partners

Essentially, just anything that has the pair of them as something in addition to friends, whether they're your more traditional romantic/sexual partners, FWB, platonic partners, or something undefined and in-between. There is a good amount of best friend content for them (which I love!) but I'm hoping to encourage more shippy content with this event.

EDIT: I got some questions about QuinObi poly content, and poly relationships are happily welcomed! The only guideline here is that QuinObi should be a vital part of what's happening, and not used as a prelude to another ship. Otherwise, go for it!

Your comments were flooded with excited fans going insane over the development. You giggled and walked away, leaving Vox to deal with your confession by himself.

What a joy and an honor to have loved Richonne's epic love story as hard as we could while we could. 🥹

And while 'it feels like it's ending'…it’s like Michonne said - they don’t die and neither does the love we have for them. We’ll be able to cherish Richonne and every single breathtakingly beautiful moment they gave us always. Richonne are the ones who live, the ones who love like no other, and the ones who will eternally hold a special place in my life.

This one-of-a-kind, out-of-this-world, moving beyond-words love story between profound soulmates Rick and Michonne Grimes - two of the greatest characters in media brought to life by the phenomenal Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln, two of the greatest actors in the craft - it lives on forever. And for that, I’m truly thankful. 🤍

Also! In honor of that deleted picnic scene, (which I would have loved to see make the final cut) I just thought I'd share my little headcanon ending scene. A few days before the towl finale, I had this vision of a Grimes Family picnic moment being the final shot of the show, but of course, my vision includes a Carl cameo to complete the Grimes Family moment. This is what I had written down and imagine as a day for their family now that they're back together as they're meant to be:

Rick and Michonne have another Family Fun Day picnic with their kids. There’s this calm quiet moment where Judith is snuggled up to Michonne happily reading the book her parents brought home for her on the blanket, RJ is resting with Rick’s arm around him, Michonne is nestled by Rick’s side, and then Rick looks out and sees essentially the spirit of Carl standing from afar. Rick and his son share this warm smile as Carl gives a proud nod signaling this is everything he’s wanted for his dad - to feel safe and happy with their family just like Carl wrote to Rick in his letter.

And then Michonne looks at Rick and asks, “You see something?” And Rick just looks in Michonne’s eyes, smiles at her and says a content, “Yeah” before kissing her - finally seeing and experiencing the family he thought he’d lost for good but they’re all with him now. And then it ends with Richonne doing their signature thing of holding hands while enjoying this hard-earned and much-deserved day of peace with their family. 🥰

That, along with the abundance of golden moments we actually got within this miniseries and the main show, is how I'll forever remember my beloved Richonne and their Grimes family. Resilient love personified. It's been an unforgettable journey and I'm grateful for every part of it. Thank you, Andy & Danai. Thank you, Rick and Michonne. Long Live Richonne. 👑
