How long have you been playing? Did you start as a kid? Why did you want to play hockey? What did you do on your off days? What was training like? What are practices like? Could he come and watch a practice?

You happily answered all the them on your way to the bar, the two of you going back and forth with a question and answer. You two end up in a booth in the corner at the bar with your drinks chatting and talking with laughter and banter between the two of you.

The night flies by and before you know it you’re back in Max’s hotel room. It’s not like it was the endgame but it was 2am and his hotel was closer than the team’s hotel. You texted your roommate before Max is passing you some of his clothes and you take a shower. Hiii tracey!! You know I absolutely adore your arts!! Seeing your comics made me wanna try drawing one too, but the idea scares me. I feel like i have to know how to do compositions, backgrounds, effects, choose the right panels etc etc (tho ofc i really just have to try it). Do you have any tips or resources on how to make it less intimidating 👉👈

I find backgrounds and panel layouts tough too and effects takes me longest but there’s no right or wrong way to approach it and all I can suggest is go easy on yourself and just go for it! Honestly there’re some pages in my past comics that are painful to see because I’ve forced panels around to fit in exposition or set up for something later but who’ll know apart from myself

Your figure drawing is so gorgeous too! So good at illustrating movement! just being able to tell a story through body language I like to do too and just doing that is a great way to start. Forget about backgrounds and everything else if it’s putting too much pressure and go at your own pace. Like Calvin and Hobbs if you’ve ever read any of that?

I don’t often draw backgrounds either, I’m not sure how much detail you want to go but my last comic I drew an establishing environment to set the scene and that’s it

One saving grace in making HL comics is it’s already set in a well established world and most would instantly recognise places if given the right prompts (four long tables = great hall) I play on PS5 and I’ve got so many screenshots of place references 😅

Some panels are literal trace overs of screenshots and I do anything and everything to make life easier (the Beast class bullies had the most backgrounds as it jumped around scenes so much) i find filtered images too jarring against my drawing too

My comfort approach is rule of thirds for composition and is I think a great way to start establishing frames and once you get more comfortable you can start playing around with it

Effects I’ve copied from comics I liked as I had no idea where to start too, I have no consistency either it changes because I’ve forgotten what I did before 😅

Panel layout I’m still finding my way too, I often don’t plan linearly, I’ll have keyframe panels (in green) and is finding the rhythm getting point A to B is loose and fun to navigate. and there’s so much of my earlier comics I’d like to change with what I learned now but I digress

This is just my approach and I’m definitely no expert but am happy to help anyway I can. I’m always copying or taking reference from films and comics I like too, taking elements that I like so much about it and let it influence and inform my own style.

If anything I’m nervous for the next one I’m working on now, emotional angst is definitely out of my comfort zone 😭 and I’m no writer like you are

These two scenes are like 🤝 to me. Within a few hours of meeting Wolfwood, Vash sees how good he is at heart. I also think it’s the moment Vash falls for him. Wolfwood’s tough guy shit seems so forced when you’ve seen his kindness. He so badly wants Vash to see him as the monstrous person he feels like he is to validate that belief. If you want to get crazy with it, it’s possible he thinks if he can get Vash to hate him his… complicated feelings will go away. He’s never loved anyone before and doesn’t feel like he deserves to.

Either way, Vash sees past it.

What Genshin Vision and Weapon I think Each TWST Character would have!

(I’m going solely off Vision Requirements/Traits (Ex: Anemo = Desire for Freedom) so some may seem different then expected)

Reminders:

Anemo= Desire for Freedom, often but not always accompanied with the loss of a loved one.

Geo = Strong and Unwavering in pursuing their ideals, beliefs and goals.

Electro : Eternal Determination/ Those who may be seen as strange, but will not change themselves for others.

Dendro: The Desire for Knowledge, (Plus Human Connections.)

Hydro: A strong sense of Justice and Protection/Care of others.

Pyro : Dedicating their life to their Passion.

Cryo : Resolution in moment of conflict.

Riddle: Pyro or Anemo, Sword: I believe that as his mom wanted him to be a healer, which is usually Dendro or Hydro, and Riddles Passion for Order and/or Desire for Freedom and loosing his friends granting him the opposite, could be very good additional angst material. Also Swords are elegant, and the Original Beheading weapon.. Hehe.

Ace : Geo, Hydro or Electro, Bow: I think Ace fits both Unwavering Beliefs and Not changing themselves for others very well, but also Justice and Care extremely well in Book 1.

I think it would be also amazing for him to get his vision right as he gave his speech after punching Riddle. Hydro could also be very interesting and seeing Riddle be Jealous of it, as it Represents Justice and Care, and its what his mother wanted him to get, adding another layer of rage to it all, plus aiding in dowsing Riddles Flames.

Bow wise, I think the term an “Ace Shooter” was fun irony, as well as “Trick shot”

Deuce: Cryo, Claymore: You all should have seen this coming. Got it when he decided to better himself for his mother’s sake. Geo also works I suppose. Claymore because duh. Plus it would be a fun comparison to Ace having the most lightweight physical weapon.

Cryo Claymores with Hydro Boyfriends who like to prank them)

Cater: Anemo, Spear: I won’t go into full detail, but if you know Caters backstory, you know damn well why I chose Desire for Freedom. Spear doubles as a Selfie stick, would have atleast one attack similar to Charlotte’s.

Trey: Dendro, Cataylst: Trey mentions wanting to learn all kinds of desserts, and as the mediator, fits the human connections piece well. Catalyst either paints the enemy or throws baking materials / Bakes the Enemy/Decorates them.

Leona: Dendro, Spear: I can’t explain it, but Dendro just fits him very well, specifically the knowledge piece. Also Spear because its lighter weight and has range + if you’re especially good at it could probably be used while lying down. Lazy ass Lion.

Ruggie: Geo, Bow : When I tell you he was extremely pissed upon receiving his—Anyway, this man perfectly embodies unwavering determination for their goals.

Like pre-mentioned, was extremely pissed because he originally thought it was useless compared to Hydro or Dendro, but that changed when he realized he could make shelter for the people on his street and also get alot of high paying construction jobs easier.

Bow is lightweight, and easier to use while running away aslong as you have good aim.

Jack : Hydro, Claymore: Justice and Care is literally half or more of his Savanaclaw ark. It fits Jack so insanely well (or Geo but shhh). I think Hydro would be sweet because everyone expects him to have Geo because it’s tough and strong, but sike. He uses it to water his cactuses and to cool off / Hydrate during workouts. Claymore because the guy is a walking gunshow he can lift that thing with one hand.

Floyd : Electro, Catalyst: So far the hardest to choose, but also being considered strange yet refusing to change for others is very Floyd. Physical DMG Catalyst like Wrio or Heizou, I pray for the enemy. Like:

Floyd : “I’m as cold as a lion with no hair: If you ever see me fighting in the forest with a Mitichurl, HELP THE CHURL. Cause that b*tch gon need it-“

Jade: Dendro, Sword: Knowledge and Jade go hand in hand. Also his plant obsession makes this funnier. Sword is very elegant but deadly, that also fits Jade. Electro is also an option, but considering the OG Flotsam and Jetsam died via Electrocution—Oh the Irony if both of them were Electro

Azul : Anemo, Geo or Cryo, Catalyst: Desired freedom from bulling and torment? , Unwavering Determination to reach goals? Conflict and Resolution? Yea. I would go with Dendro cause knowledge, but didn’t feel as fitting. Catalyst because obviously.

Anemo could help him in the water to swim faster, and blow away Jade and Floyd as kids, but they kept coming back so he gave up. Cryo or Geo to make a octopus pot but they blew it open.

Kalim: Pyro, Dendro or Hydro, Catalyst or Spear: Passion suits Kalim incredibly, but so does Human Connections and the desire for knowledge to help others. Hydro fits in the care department, but not as much in justice.

Alot of his attacks would be similar to Yun Jin or Nilou, (based in Traditional dance from the Middle East obviously) and adding some jumpiness to it, but I imagine his skill or run is just running people over with the magic carpet and you get to fly without stamina issues (5 star type perks lmao)

Jamil : Anemo, Spear or Sword: Desire for Freedom?!?! Thats Jamils Ark in a nutshell. Friend loss? Kalim when they were kids. (Because his parents made him stop being friends with Kalim and focus on his duties as a servant to him). I think Jamil having a Scimitar like the ones in the original Aladdin movie or a spear similar to Jafars staff would be a fun reference.

Epel : Anemo or Dendro, Claymore: Desire for Freedom coming from his own insecurities on his appearance or Desiring the Knowledge to Change it. Literally hated his vision for a long time, thought wind/nature powers were kinda stupid, useless in a fight and girly until Vil rocked his shit with Dendro in the OB fight.

Can barely lift the Claymore but by god will he try. (Similar to Razors attacks like the guy is trying his best but the claymore literally almost sends him flying)

(A bow is also a fun option and he would definitely pull a Childe and just hit the enemy with the bow itself.

Catalyst he just throws rotten / poison apples at the enemy. )

Rook: Electro, or Pyro, Bow: Strange but would never change for someone else? Rook. Passion? Also kinda Rook. I could see him receiving his vision at his first play, and using his hat to dim the light so it didn’t affect the actors and other watchers. Bow was also an obvious choice.

Has a skill that reveals all hidden quests available and how to access them.

Vil : Dendro, Catalyst : The Desire for Knowledge to attain Beauty. Saw Epel hating on Dendro Visions and took it personally. Catalyst because he can’t bother to get his hands dirty.

Catalyst wise, definitely physical, bro is bouncing off the enemy and teleporting around them, same if sword. Claymore would be fucking hilarious because this tiny man having a fast attack speed while using a weapon almost the size of him is just generally hilarious. Has an attack similar to Fischls Oz , except it is instead a Bat, and yes you can fly / teleport with him.

Also like Raiden, the game prevents you from cooking as him / all the meals you make will be suspicious ones.

Silver: Hydro, Sword: Justice and Care? Silver. Definitely. Sword also seems pretty obvious, and definitely has an ability that not only has wild animals not running from you, but will come closer to you if in the area.

Sebek: Electro or Geo , Sword or Claymore: Eternal Determination and not changing for others is very Sebek, but so is Unwavering Determination to reach goals, and I think Sword and Claymore are both Obvious.

Che’nya : Electro, Catalyst: Not Changing for Others fits this wacko so well. Catalyst because obviously. His E skill makes you invisible to the enemy and wild creatures. Enemy wise, scares the shit out of them and does 80% extra damage if you hit them from behind with it.

No, I don't think Oona wants to look like someone. I think she's used to looking impressive—dangerous and intimidating. But it's also a kind of armor for herself. Tough exterior, softie inside.

📦Objects 14. Is there an item your character is embarrassed they own or want?

mh. I can’t think of anything specific. But Oona liked looting weapons and jewelry from her enemies. They’re scattered around her tent like a magpie's nest. And there’s probably also an item with a strange backstory—one she’d rather not talk about.

🍽️Food and Drink 10. What is a childhood meal your character cherishes?

Oona didn’t have a good childhood. Quite the opposite—the goal was to instill a hatred for the world in her. There was no love, no compassion, no sense of safety, and definitely no birthday cake. Food is one of her weaknesses because of that. She loves eating a lot and eating well, and she’s greedy too, since she’s used to only the strongest getting the best part of the feast. Gale especially was an amazing cook, and she asked him every day what he was going to make. After the Netherbrain was defeated, they went their separate ways—and Oona realized that cooking wasn’t nearly as easy as she’d imagined.

Scratch has stolen her heart. And when they meet the dog lady in Baldur’s Gate, Oona transforms into the Slayer out of sheer rage. (Oona is actually a resist Durge, but I like the idea that the closer she gets to her past and the more she remembers, the more aware she becomes of these powers.) But she’s also very willing to reject the Slayer form again.

I’d love to answer this question. Oona would never dance in public; it’s not something she’s ever even considered doing. But when she’s alone with Astarion or closest friends, she shows a different side. In my mind, Astarion rediscovers his love for music, finds out he can play instruments, and even teaches her a few dance steps. And when no one is watching, they dance together and she love it.

There are two subgroups within this pile so I will read them differently right now.

Seems like Group 1 is actually free spirited and out there and independent. You guys don't need anyone and you hate being restrained by boundaries or rules. I'm seeing you, group 1 fellows might thrive in a customer service position. Some of you might open your own bar or something, I'm seeing a lot of entrepreneurship here. Do it. Start that business and be happy.

And now onto group 2

For group 2, seems like you guys have some things to work on. You say your dream is to be a hippie by the beach that is free spirited and carefree but you are nothing like that. And that is ok. You're not less cool or more boring or ordinary. You being yourself is already unique, there is nothing to complete in you.

I'm seeing some of you guys are quiet and shy, but actually love people. Wouldn't be hurtful to try out some customer service as well! Weirdly enough I see the same career paths as group 1 for you guys. Entrepreneurship, having your own company, etc.

Seems like you really don't care about who you're talking to, there is no filter or personality switch. You're just you. And it's genuine. And it's enough. You seem to have some issues with people because of that, but also you attract wonderful opportunities as well. Think Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. Big Elle energy for real.

I think you guys might even be in a male dominated industry, which is tough considering your personality, but not impossible. And especially not impossible for you. Ok you guys, this is gonna be a bit straightforward so beware.

A lot of you guys think you're hot s*-#, which you can be but you are not right now. What I mean by that is you seem like the type of person that says: yeah! I'm gonna have a private jet and a thousand cars and blah blah. Very materialistic. But you're not putting in the work at all, you probably don't even know what it is you're passionate about or want to do with your life (which is so valid). You just want to be rich, which honestly I get it, but you need some drive other than "i want a Maserati" you need to want something bigger. You need to be good at something and you don't even know what that something is. And something tells me that you are not even thinking about what that could be. You fantasize about being rich without wondering how to get there. Why do you want that? Status? Relationships? Reevaluate.

That said, I see two types of outcomes. If you put in the effort I'm seeing you can achieve that level of richness you're looking for. Some of you might start a company or climb up an existing one. Some of you might become travel vloggers or influencers.

If you keep doing what you're doing I see you're working at fast food chains (i literally channeled that I'm not gonna lie to y'all) as a manager maybe retail too, that type of jobs.

Careers I see: McDonald's worker, fast food manager, retail worker, makeup store worker (I'm seeing Sephora), mall business owner, souvenir store owner, business owner in general, travel vlogger, boat driver, tourist attraction worker, marketing specialist, hotel worker, hotel owner.

I see someone with a family and a big house. Some kids running around. Some of you want to be stay at home partners to a rich person (respect to you guys, every dream is a valid one) and I see you'll get that and be fulfilled. Vacation is a given. You don't struggle with money. None of you guys do.

Some common themes you all have is that your career will allow you to be calm and chill. There are no problems. Money comes easy and secure. And you're living the dream, whichever dream that may be.

A lot of you guys here are here for confirmation of an ideal life you have. Let me say, yes. It's happening. Maybe not in the way you think, maybe not in the amount of success you want it. Or maybe it does fully! But it's happening. I'm seeing some of you might want to act? You'll be an actor and have work but maybe you won't be a big Hollywood star. Or maybe you will!

Some of you may want to be singers. Again, you might not win a Grammy and become Beyonce, but you will work as a singer and it will pay your bills. Yeah the Western fandom is AWFUL with this particular thing. They make their own conclusions and expect everyone else to get in lockstep immediately or else be attacked relentlessly (Western CR fans are like this with everything tbh, not just the age question). The Asian side of the fandom has always been the chill one; they just make art and vibe and it's wonderful. No drama about shipping or age headcanons or whatever. Just art and vibe.

I've never seen anyone on our side say Blue Slushy is a kid, though? Haven't seen anyone say much about her, period, granted. Kingdom really overshadowed Ovenbreak in terms of popularity, unfortunately, so OB characters are robbed of the love they deserve :( but yeah, I never once got the impression that Blue Slushy is a child. She seems like an adult to me, always has. Being a bit childish doesn't automatically mean "literal child". (And her interactions with Wind Archer are adorable. They're adorable together. Sue me)

Admittedly, it would be helpful if Devsis clarified with some characters, because it IS a little tough sometimes. Like, what is Mango? A kid? A teen? An adult? He works a very demanding job that requires years, if not decades of experience to do properly. He played at a concert. But people think he's a kid? Ananas Dragon calls him "young", true. But everyone is young to a dragon, right? Wtf is going on lol

That plus I think people have an unfortunate tendency to assign age based on height. I've seen people insist that Milky Way is a child. Yeah, it’s only been 10 months, so I’m still like a baby who can’t do much yet. 👶🏻🍼

If you don’t mind, I’d be happy to give you advice—though I’m not sure how helpful I’ll be!

I started by doing studies and copying art! I have a friend who’s really good at drawing, and they told me that studying anatomy and skeletal structure can come later. So I haven’t done that part yet either…😭

I think copying your favorite characters is the best way to stay motivated and keep going! It’s hard to keep drawing if it’s boring or frustrating. With Genshin characters, they have 3D models, so I recommend taking a screenshot and placing it next to your canvas to draw from. Like this!

I still do a lot of copying too, since I’m not that good yet!

Also, even if you really love a character, muscular ones can be tough to draw. I recommend starting with female or androgynous characters! For example, I really like Wriothesley, but he has so many muscles I just can’t draw him well…😂

Another tip: even if you’re not confident, upload your art somewhere! I used to upload mine as a growth log even when I was really bad. It helps to feel like someone might be watching.

After about 6 months, it’s also good to ask someone to critique your work!

I think being praised for your art is really important too! I’m going back through old tags and what is the turning point of Lucie finally getting her shit together and not being a nightmare (especially to Lexie)? When are Lexi and Nico able to breathe a sigh of relief like ok I think we finally made it through this faze with her?

There is a handful of things that happen to chill Lucie out.

Lucie stops seeing Marco. First and foremost, the worst influence and the driver of her erratic behavior. Think... The more I give the more you ignore me and it drives me absolutely nuts trying to get your attention.

Lio comes home for the summer. Lio's return has Lucie regulating quickly. He calls her out on her shit with a "this isn't you" conversation that hits way harder than any of Nico and Lexi's with her.

The impending move of Lucie to NYU has her feeling emotional about leaving her parents and sisters. Especially with Lio's new perspective of what it's like to be as far away from home as she is going to be. Lucie begins to dread leaving towards the middle of the summer. It's hard for her to say goodbye to Nico and Lexi on move-in weekend. Lexi wants to stay to help her transition. Nico says no.

Lio is around for Lucie when she begins at NYU. That one year apart for them was tough and they reveled in getting to be so close together again. It soothed parts of Lucie that felt so understood because Lio has always seen and validated Lucie.

Lucie Hischier 🤝 meet goofy, golden retriever Connor Wood. WE have talked about this before that Nico and Lexi can see the different in their daughter because of Connor. To quote Megan Moroney, "He don't make her wonder."

She is way busier at NYU than she was in high school and that helps keep her focused on the right things. She is making friends, excited about her classes, going to Devs games, partying, having fun, and has found her element. She gets to be "grown" like she wanted to be.

Lexi and Nico don't exhale fully until Lucie comes home from college after Freshman year. It's a gradual decline of worry and rebuilding trust. She FaceTimes a lot and texts, but the thousands of miles of distances helps repair their relationship especially because her behavior isn't happening like it was AND it isn't effecting their family anymore either.
