Whb Satan headcannons about him being a little overprotective towards the MC

He did say he wanted you to enjoy your time in hell. He just didn't think you would adapt so easily...

He thought he knew humans didn't really like the concept of devils but you seemed different. Now he regrets telling you that devils can't lie. He can't stand watching you be so overly friendly and naive enjoying the company of every devil you come across.

Yes just because devils can't lie that doesn't mean they are necessarily good. Devil's can still bend the truth, devil's can still manipulate. Sitri could only huff at his anger reminding his king that he was the one who dug his hole. Satan takes it upon himself to be your protector. He swears if one little hair on your head is missing he will rage. He's itching to use this new baseball bat he bought. You glare at him at the fact that he's chasing away anyone and everyone around you and he just smiles and says "Good. The less devils, the better."

Satan will be hanging around with a weapon in his hand glaring at whoever you're talking to every time you look back at him he'll just smile warmly at you only at you.

He hates the fact that devils crowd around you. In Gehenna He's practically attached to you at the hip growling for devils to give you space. He's only asking 'nicely' this once; anyone who doesn't listen they will get a punch to the face.

Like hell he would let the other kings be in the same room with you alone! He knows exactly how devil's act. He knows that the moment A devil has the chance to take temptation, they will take it.

You can hang out with whatever you want. But the moment they fuck up or he catches wind of any devil that wrongs you in some way him and his entire regimen of wrathful bloodthirsty devils will jump them on the street.

Of course he isn't as openly violent when he's escorting you in the human world, at first. (It's tough to conceal wrath) He wants to let you know that he's only sparing the guy that was rude to you because you told him to.

As much as he doesn't like the Kings hanging around you, he'd rather they be around you instead of you being completely alone on the streets of hell. You're so naive and easy to get along with, and devils naturally flock to you, so he's worried that an angel might deceive you or, worse, a devil with not the best intentions might lure you somewhere. Just because devils can't tell lies, that doesn't make them exceptionally safe. You wander around too much and the only reason why he hasn't put a tracker on your phone is because He's not Leviathan.

After the team meeting and the media, you leave the stadium with your teammates to the bus. Spirits are high and the energy is buzzing between everyone. You’re laughing with your teammates and spy Max standing a little further off to the side in front of his car as he’s on his phone. You put your duffel bag into the compartment of the bus before excusing yourself. Your teammates boo and pout, asking where you were going and why you weren’t celebrating with them. You quickly explain you had a bet going on with an acquaintance. Your face flushes slightly when the girls see Max and start teasing and giving low whistles before you’re turning on your heel and heading to the Dutchman, gently flattening out your black dress.

“Hello there.”

Max glances up from his phone to study you before locking and pocketing his phone before he breaks into a small grin, “Hello. Congratulations on your win.”

“Thank you,” you give a small jokingly curtsy, “I had to make sure I was not picking up this bill.” You tease. “Ready to go? Hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long.”

“I am,” he steps aside as he opens the passenger door for you, “also no you didn’t keep me waiting long at all.” He offers a hand, which you take and helps you into his car before he closes the door gently behind you. You settle into your seat and start talking to Max to fill the silence. It’s surprisingly a lot easier to get the Dutchman talk when he’s asking you questions about hockey. How long have you been playing? Did you start as a kid? Why did you want to play hockey? What did you do on your off days? What was training like? What are practices like? Could he come and watch a practice?

You happily answered all the them on your way to the bar, the two of you going back and forth with a question and answer. You two end up in a booth in the corner at the bar with your drinks chatting and talking with laughter and banter between the two of you.

The night flies by and before you know it you’re back in Max’s hotel room. It’s not like it was the endgame but it was 2am and his hotel was closer than the team’s hotel. You texted your roommate before Max is passing you some of his clothes and you take a shower. You come out laughing because Max’s sweatpants are too big for you and you have to hold them up while waddling over to Max, who’s on his bed who is also laughing. He trades you the sweats for a pair of shorts and takes the sweatpants. You settle into the other side of the bed and the two of you continue to chat until somehow you both fall asleep.

Waking up the next morning, Max is already finishing getting dressed. He asks if you want to go back to your hotel and change before joining him for breakfast and you sleepily agree before you get out of bed. Somehow, you manage to direct Max to the hotel in your sleepy haze before the two of you are back in your room and you change. The two of you then go out to a little cafe for breakfast.

Then the mall.

Then lunch.

You joke that this feels more like a date.

Max states that maybe he wanted it to be a date.

You stare at him in a bit of a shock before smiling and accepting dinner as a date which Max just smirks slightly.

The date goes amazingly. Max picked some fancy restaurant but you didn’t care about that. You cared about being on a date with Max. How easy it was to talk to the Dutchman. How much of a nerd he was that the media never showed because he kept it tucked away. It was a different side to the driver that you were glad you got to see. 

After the date, you two went to get ice cream. You two finally exchange numbers before he drops you off at your hotel so you could pack for your flight. You don’t sleep, spending the night texting Max. 

You two schedule virtual dates in between your schedules. Your favorite is a virtual escape room that is Twilight themed. Max was so stressed trying to figure things out and you were laughing so hard that you almost pissed your pants but you two escaped with two minutes to spare. Max swore he would never do it again but he also needed to prove that he could do an escape room with more than five minutes to spare so it became your go to date and by the third, Max had been so frustrated with a puzzle (that he wanted to do on his own) that he blurted out ‘babe help me!’

You did but after you circled back to the comment, smiling and teasing him. You found his blush cute as he fumbled with his words before admitting since you two have been talking for so long and going on dates he wanted to ask you and had this whole thing planned but it just slipped out in the moment of his frustration. You laugh softly but smile and admit that you were going to ask him pretty soon if he didn’t and somehow him blurting that out felt somehow fitting. You two laugh but end the date on the biggest high ever.

You were dating Max fucking Verstappen.

I have an abusive mom who gave me situational depression and I have to wait to join the military bc of it to get off my meds. They are not the reason for you and others problems. They cannot help you but they CAN give advice which they post, and motivation; use it. let me make this clear: you can enter the void with a bad mental mindset. you are not running out of time. or you need to back off the app and take a break and forget about it, heal and come back from it. Hiii tracey!! You know I absolutely adore your arts!! Seeing your comics made me wanna try drawing one too, but the idea scares me. I feel like i have to know how to do compositions, backgrounds, effects, choose the right panels etc etc (tho ofc i really just have to try it). I find backgrounds and panel layouts tough too and effects takes me longest but there’s no right or wrong way to approach it and all I can suggest is go easy on yourself and just go for it! Honestly there’re some pages in my past comics that are painful to see because I’ve forced panels around to fit in exposition or set up for something later but who’ll know apart from myself

Your figure drawing is so gorgeous too! So good at illustrating movement! just being able to tell a story through body language I like to do too and just doing that is a great way to start. Forget about backgrounds and everything else if it’s putting too much pressure and go at your own pace. Like Calvin and Hobbs if you’ve ever read any of that?

I don’t often draw backgrounds either, I’m not sure how much detail you want to go but my last comic I drew an establishing environment to set the scene and that’s it

One saving grace in making HL comics is it’s already set in a well established world and most would instantly recognise places if given the right prompts (four long tables = great hall) I play on PS5 and I’ve got so many screenshots of place references 😅

Some panels are literal trace overs of screenshots and I do anything and everything to make life easier (the Beast class bullies had the most backgrounds as it jumped around scenes so much) i find filtered images too jarring against my drawing too

My comfort approach is rule of thirds for composition and is I think a great way to start establishing frames and once you get more comfortable you can start playing around with it

Effects I’ve copied from comics I liked as I had no idea where to start too, I have no consistency either it changes because I’ve forgotten what I did before 😅

Panel layout I’m still finding my way too, I often don’t plan linearly, I’ll have keyframe panels (in green) and is finding the rhythm getting point A to B is loose and fun to navigate. and there’s so much of my earlier comics I’d like to change with what I learned now but I digress

This is just my approach and I’m definitely no expert but am happy to help anyway I can. I’m always copying or taking reference from films and comics I like too, taking elements that I like so much about it and let it influence and inform my own style.

If anything I’m nervous for the next one I’m working on now, emotional angst is definitely out of my comfort zone 😭 and I’m no writer like you are

These two scenes are like 🤝 to me. Within a few hours of meeting Wolfwood, Vash sees how good he is at heart. I also think it’s the moment Vash falls for him. Wolfwood’s tough guy shit seems so forced when you’ve seen his kindness. He so badly wants Vash to see him as the monstrous person he feels like he is to validate that belief. If you want to get crazy with it, it’s possible he thinks if he can get Vash to hate him his… complicated feelings will go away. He’s never loved anyone before and doesn’t feel like he deserves to.

Either way, Vash sees past it.

What Genshin Vision and Weapon I think Each TWST Character would have!

(I’m going solely off Vision Requirements/Traits (Ex: Anemo = Desire for Freedom) so some may seem different then expected)

Reminders:

Anemo= Desire for Freedom, often but not always accompanied with the loss of a loved one.

Geo = Strong and Unwavering in pursuing their ideals, beliefs and goals.

Electro : Eternal Determination/ Those who may be seen as strange, but will not change themselves for others.

Dendro: The Desire for Knowledge, (Plus Human Connections.)

Hydro: A strong sense of Justice and Protection/Care of others.

Pyro : Dedicating their life to their Passion.

Cryo : Resolution in moment of conflict.

Riddle: Pyro or Anemo, Sword: I believe that as his mom wanted him to be a healer, which is usually Dendro or Hydro, and Riddles Passion for Order and/or Desire for Freedom and loosing his friends granting him the opposite, could be very good additional angst material. Also Swords are elegant, and the Original Beheading weapon.. Hehe.

Ace : Geo, Hydro or Electro, Bow: I think Ace fits both Unwavering Beliefs and Not changing themselves for others very well, but also Justice and Care extremely well in Book 1.

I think it would be also amazing for him to get his vision right as he gave his speech after punching Riddle. Hydro could also be very interesting and seeing Riddle be Jealous of it, as it Represents Justice and Care, and its what his mother wanted him to get, adding another layer of rage to it all, plus aiding in dowsing Riddles Flames.

Bow wise, I think the term an “Ace Shooter” was fun irony, as well as “Trick shot”

Deuce: Cryo, Claymore: You all should have seen this coming. Got it when he decided to better himself for his mother’s sake. Geo also works I suppose. Claymore because duh. Plus it would be a fun comparison to Ace having the most lightweight physical weapon.

Cater: Anemo, Spear: I won’t go into full detail, but if you know Caters backstory, you know damn well why I chose Desire for Freedom. Spear doubles as a Selfie stick, would have atleast one attack similar to Charlotte’s.

Trey: Dendro, Cataylst: Trey mentions wanting to learn all kinds of desserts, and as the mediator, fits the human connections piece well. Catalyst either paints the enemy or throws baking materials / Bakes the Enemy/Decorates them.

Leona: Dendro, Spear: I can’t explain it, but Dendro just fits him very well, specifically the knowledge piece. Also Spear because its lighter weight and has range + if you’re especially good at it could probably be used while lying down. Lazy ass Lion.

Ruggie: Geo, Bow : When I tell you he was extremely pissed upon receiving his—Anyway, this man perfectly embodies unwavering determination for their goals.

Like pre-mentioned, was extremely pissed because he originally thought it was useless compared to Hydro or Dendro, but that changed when he realized he could make shelter for the people on his street and also get alot of high paying construction jobs easier.

Bow is lightweight, and easier to use while running away aslong as you have good aim.

Jack : Hydro, Claymore: Justice and Care is literally half or more of his Savanaclaw ark. It fits Jack so insanely well (or Geo but shhh). I think Hydro would be sweet because everyone expects him to have Geo because it’s tough and strong, but sike. He uses it to water his cactuses and to cool off / Hydrate during workouts. Claymore because the guy is a walking gunshow he can lift that thing with one hand.

Floyd : Electro, Catalyst: So far the hardest to choose, but also being considered strange yet refusing to change for others is very Floyd. Physical DMG Catalyst like Wrio or Heizou, I pray for the enemy. Like:

Floyd : “I’m as cold as a lion with no hair: If you ever see me fighting in the forest with a Mitichurl, HELP THE CHURL. Cause that b*tch gon need it-“

Jade: Dendro, Sword: Knowledge and Jade go hand in hand. Also his plant obsession makes this funnier. Sword is very elegant but deadly, that also fits Jade. Electro is also an option, but considering the OG Flotsam and Jetsam died via Electrocution—Oh the Irony if both of them were Electro

Azul : Anemo, Geo or Cryo, Catalyst: Desired freedom from bulling and torment? , Unwavering Determination to reach goals? Conflict and Resolution? Yea. I would go with Dendro cause knowledge, but didn’t feel as fitting. Catalyst because obviously.

Anemo could help him in the water to swim faster, and blow away Jade and Floyd as kids, but they kept coming back so he gave up. Cryo or Geo to make a octopus pot but they blew it open.

Kalim: Pyro, Dendro or Hydro, Catalyst or Spear: Passion suits Kalim incredibly, but so does Human Connections and the desire for knowledge to help others. Hydro fits in the care department, but not as much in justice.

Alot of his attacks would be similar to Yun Jin or Nilou, (based in Traditional dance from the Middle East obviously) and adding some jumpiness to it, but I imagine his skill or run is just running people over with the magic carpet and you get to fly without stamina issues (5 star type perks lmao)

Jamil : Anemo, Spear or Sword: Desire for Freedom?!?! Thats Jamils Ark in a nutshell. Friend loss? Kalim when they were kids. (Because his parents made him stop being friends with Kalim and focus on his duties as a servant to him). I think Jamil having a Scimitar like the ones in the original Aladdin movie or a spear similar to Jafars staff would be a fun reference.

Epel : Anemo or Dendro, Claymore: Desire for Freedom coming from his own insecurities on his appearance or Desiring the Knowledge to Change it. Literally hated his vision for a long time, thought wind/nature powers were kinda stupid, useless in a fight and girly until Vil rocked his shit with Dendro in the OB fight.

Can barely lift the Claymore but by god will he try. (Similar to Razors attacks like the guy is trying his best but the claymore literally almost sends him flying)

(A bow is also a fun option and he would definitely pull a Childe and just hit the enemy with the bow itself.

Catalyst he just throws rotten / poison apples at the enemy. )

Rook: Electro, or Pyro, Bow: Strange but would never change for someone else? Rook. Passion? Also kinda Rook. I could see him receiving his vision at his first play, and using his hat to dim the light so it didn’t affect the actors and other watchers. Bow was also an obvious choice.

Has a skill that reveals all hidden quests available and how to access them.

Vil : Dendro, Catalyst : The Desire for Knowledge to attain Beauty. Saw Epel hating on Dendro Visions and took it personally. Catalyst because he can’t bother to get his hands dirty.

Idia: Anemo, Catalyst or Claymore: Desire for Freedom and Dead person you cared for? Check. Found it on his bedside when he woke up after Orthos death and called it “a Pity Prize” for him surviving. Completely pulling a Silver Wolf with the Digital / Glitch like attacks and if he has a Claymore, a Kaveh, although his little skull thing would be his Merhak.

Ortho: Non Specific (until after book 6, then Dendro), Catalyst or Bow: Kinda Similar to the Traveler, but you’d have to get into Ignihyde and use a disc drive to change his. If after Ignihyde chaps, Dendro. Similar to Nahida, Desiring Knowledge of Humans. Shoots literal laser beams at enemies.

Malleus: Dendro, Catalyst: Like Ortho, Desiring Knowledge of Humans, and from Human (I guess in this case just emotional) Connections. Specifically one day after building up the courage to hug Lilia after he helped him find Gargoyles around a town. (Accidentally called him Father in that moment, and then the Vision Appeared)

Catalyst….duh. I can see the attacks either being fireflies or mini Dragons (like how Baizhus is snakes)

Lilia: Cryo or Anemo, Bow, Claymore, Sword or Catalyst (I don’t have a bias to Catalysts I swear) : Got his after Melanors Death (F) or Malleus Hatching, and like how its mentioned Venti was once a Catalyst user in lore, and puts his bow away like one, Lilia does pretty much the same, but puts it away like a Sword.

Catalyst wise, definitely physical, bro is bouncing off the enemy and teleporting around them, same if sword. Claymore would be fucking hilarious because this tiny man having a fast attack speed while using a weapon almost the size of him is just generally hilarious. Has an attack similar to Fischls Oz , except it is instead a Bat, and yes you can fly / teleport with him.

Also like Raiden, the game prevents you from cooking as him / all the meals you make will be suspicious ones.

Silver: Hydro, Sword: Justice and Care? Silver. Definitely. Sword also seems pretty obvious, and definitely has an ability that not only has wild animals not running from you, but will come closer to you if in the area.

Sebek: Electro or Geo , Sword or Claymore: Eternal Determination and not changing for others is very Sebek, but so is Unwavering Determination to reach goals, and I think Sword and Claymore are both Obvious.

Che’nya : Electro, Catalyst: Not Changing for Others fits this wacko so well. Catalyst because obviously. His E skill makes you invisible to the enemy and wild creatures. Enemy wise, scares the shit out of them and does 80% extra damage if you hit them from behind with it.

There are two subgroups within this pile so I will read them differently right now.

Seems like Group 1 is actually free spirited and out there and independent. You guys don't need anyone and you hate being restrained by boundaries or rules. Thus, I think a career that best suits you is one where no one rules over you but yourself. And of course not a high stress environment. I'm seeing you, group 1 fellows might thrive in a customer service position. Some of you might open your own bar or something, I'm seeing a lot of entrepreneurship here. Do it. Start that business and be happy.

And now onto group 2

For group 2, seems like you guys have some things to work on. You say your dream is to be a hippie by the beach that is free spirited and carefree but you are nothing like that. And that is ok. You're not less cool or more boring or ordinary. You being yourself is already unique, there is nothing to complete in you.

I'm seeing some of you guys are quiet and shy, but actually love people. Wouldn't be hurtful to try out some customer service as well! Weirdly enough I see the same career paths as group 1 for you guys. Entrepreneurship, having your own company, etc.

In general, for both groups I see these:

culinary arts (big on this one), Chef, waiter, bartender, owner of any place that serves food or drink, secretary, CEO, business management, HR worker, meeting mediator, etc

You guys seem like a bit of an airhead but in a wonderful way. I can't stress how positively I mean that. People seem baffled by the way you act and say things and you surprise them everyday. Seems like you really don't care about who you're talking to, there is no filter or personality switch. You're just you. And it's genuine. And it's enough. You seem to have some issues with people because of that, but also you attract wonderful opportunities as well. Think Elle Woods from Legally Blonde. Big Elle energy for real.

I think you guys might even be in a male dominated industry, which is tough considering your personality, but not impossible. And especially not impossible for you. Absolutely not customer service, though. Some people hate your personality (f them ngl) but your ideal career is probably one where your work speaks for itself and they can't deny your talent.

I see careers such as STEM, law, IT, music, biology, forensics, investigator, nail tech and criminal Justice.

Ok you guys, this is gonna be a bit straightforward so beware.

A lot of you guys think you're hot s*-#, which you can be but you are not right now. What I mean by that is you seem like the type of person that says: yeah! I'm gonna have a private jet and a thousand cars and blah blah. Very materialistic. But you're not putting in the work at all, you probably don't even know what it is you're passionate about or want to do with your life (which is so valid). You just want to be rich, which honestly I get it, but you need some drive other than "i want a Maserati" you need to want something bigger. You need to be good at something and you don't even know what that something is. And something tells me that you are not even thinking about what that could be. You fantasize about being rich without wondering how to get there. Why do you want that? Status? Relationships? Reevaluate.

That said, I see two types of outcomes. If you put in the effort I'm seeing you can achieve that level of richness you're looking for. Some of you might start a company or climb up an existing one. Some of you might become travel vloggers or influencers.

If you keep doing what you're doing I see you're working at fast food chains (i literally channeled that I'm not gonna lie to y'all) as a manager maybe retail too, that type of jobs.

Careers I see: McDonald's worker, fast food manager, retail worker, makeup store worker (I'm seeing Sephora), mall business owner, souvenir store owner, business owner in general, travel vlogger, boat driver, tourist attraction worker, marketing specialist, hotel worker, hotel owner.

You guys are actually going to be successful. I'm seeing some of you have bigger dreams, some of you have smaller ones (which is cool too!) But all of you will definitely achieve them in some way or another.

I see someone with a family and a big house. Some kids running around. Some of you want to be stay at home partners to a rich person (respect to you guys, every dream is a valid one) and I see you'll get that and be fulfilled. Vacation is a given. You don't struggle with money. None of you guys do.

Some common themes you all have is that your career will allow you to be calm and chill. There are no problems. Money comes easy and secure. And you're living the dream, whichever dream that may be.

A lot of you guys here are here for confirmation of an ideal life you have. Let me say, yes. It's happening. Maybe not in the way you think, maybe not in the amount of success you want it. Or maybe it does fully! But it's happening. I'm seeing some of you might want to act? You'll be an actor and have work but maybe you won't be a big Hollywood star. Or maybe you will!

Some of you may want to be singers. Again, you might not win a Grammy and become Beyonce, but you will work as a singer and it will pay your bills. Like singing at events, hotels, etc. (Or maybe you will win a Grammy! Don't let tarot discourage you from achieving anything! It's just a tool, not a strict rule to follow)

Anyways, you will be whatever it is you want to be.

I never viewed her as a child but that seems to be a insane overwhelming majority opinion that she's 13 or younger. but oddly enough it's a very western thing? east asian fans from what I can gather of their tweets and fanart view her as a young adult, there really isn't any canon information sadly that points to one or the other. sorry for the super random ramble it just has been alienating as hell being a blue slushy adult believer so finding solidarity is so swag 🤝

Yeah the Western fandom is AWFUL with this particular thing. They make their own conclusions and expect everyone else to get in lockstep immediately or else be attacked relentlessly (Western CR fans are like this with everything tbh, not just the age question). The Asian side of the fandom has always been the chill one; they just make art and vibe and it's wonderful. No drama about shipping or age headcanons or whatever. Just art and vibe.

I've never seen anyone on our side say Blue Slushy is a kid, though? Haven't seen anyone say much about her, period, granted. Kingdom really overshadowed Ovenbreak in terms of popularity, unfortunately, so OB characters are robbed of the love they deserve :( but yeah, I never once got the impression that Blue Slushy is a child. She seems like an adult to me, always has. Being a bit childish doesn't automatically mean "literal child". (And her interactions with Wind Archer are adorable. They're adorable together. Sue me)

Admittedly, it would be helpful if Devsis clarified with some characters, because it IS a little tough sometimes. Like, what is Mango? A kid? A teen? An adult? He works a very demanding job that requires years, if not decades of experience to do properly. He played at a concert. But people think he's a kid? Ananas Dragon calls him "young", true. But everyone is young to a dragon, right? Wtf is going on lol

That plus I think people have an unfortunate tendency to assign age based on height. I've seen people insist that Milky Way is a child. She's a fucking train conductor lol, you think they'd let little kids drive a fucking train? Let alone one like the one she drives? She's a short adult, my guys. I'm short irl, I guess I'm not an adult, huh? I should quit my job and go back to grade school, I guess

you were making an effort to set up a romantic date for hao and he just happened to stumble upon you with candles in hand. “oh, nice candles.” he says as he steps into the kitchen. you have a brief moment of relief before zhanghao retraces his steps back into the living room.

“wait, why do you have candles?” raising an eyebrow, pointing to the scented items in your hand. “uh.. i like them..?” you respond, avoiding eye contact. he crossed his arms before speaking up again “if i recall correctly, you never liked them.”

you attempted to argue back, trying to keep the surprise a secret but your stutters failed you. hao gave out a small chuckle at your try, leaving you alone after. “whatever you’re up to, it better be fun.”

work had taken a toll on you today and all you wanted to do was sink into hanbin’s arms as soon as you got home but you didn’t want him to trouble him so you didn’t say anything. as you were about to call for him, the doorbell rung. you unlocked the door to see food delivered from your favorite restaurant. hanbin must’ve ordered it cause it most certainly wasn’t you.

examining the receipt, there was a note that read ‘i hope this cheers you up -binnie’ smiling at the thoughtful words, you felt arms slither around your waist from behind making you feel a bit alarmed but calmed down when you breathed in the scent of familiarity. “do you like it? it’s your favs.” he spoke, pressing his lips to your neck.

you turn around to face him “i was always cheery, what do you mean?” in another attempt to pretend you were fine although knowing hanbin was always two steps ahead of you. he lets out a soft chuckle, rolling his eyes before reacting “let’s just eat, babe.”

matthew stood in horror as glass shards shatter all across the floor. he had just dropped a mug right in front of you and you were in full-on panic mode. he was in the middle of all the sharp pieces and with one wrong move, he could get hurt.

“matthew, there are shards everywhere!” you exclaimed, incredibly worried but you tried to tone it down so he wouldn’t feel half as bad. him on the other hand, thought you were livid at him for shattering a special mug to you. although it was a typical, cheap old mug and there were multiple of them; it still meant a lot to you.

the next day rolls around and matthew pops up with said broken mug, pieced back together with dollar store strong glue and very colorful (thus, fixing it) “i know how much this meant to you, i’m sorry.” he speaks with a sad manner making you giggle in return “it was a mug, a plain white mug.”

matthew rolls his eyes playfully “okay, and? now it’s a colorful, clown mug! better than ever!” you shake your head, placing your hand on his shoulder “that kind of paint is toxic, no one can drink from it anymore.” “…better than ever!”

"if you say so.." ricky concedes reluctantly as he leans back into the couch. you tried to keep up with this tough act as much as you can but you kept covering your eyes. ricky paused the movie, shaking his head. “let’s watch a barbie movie instead.”

gunwook was explaining to you some nerdy concept that only someone with a brain like his could comprehend. you tried, you really tried to listen along but he was using so many big words, and eventually gunwook noticed that you were just nodding at every word said.

“you’re bored aren’t you?” he asked making you jump “what? of course not, what makes you say that?” you try to deny although it’s written all over your face “do you wanna do something else?” he asks while suggesting various other things you guys could do “what if we watch barbie?” you perk up as his words, interested but you didn't want to tell him that. you shake your head, telling him that he should continue about the idea earlier and gunwook does continue.

though you made an effort to listen along, you fell asleep in the midst of it. when you were woken up, you were greeted by the lights dimmed, and there were pillows and blankets around you while the tv was paused, one of your favorite barbie movies. gunwook smiles beside you “you awake? barbie and i were waiting.”

you had made the grave mistake of adopting a new puppy without telling gyuvin. it was supposed to be a surprise but you can’t control the barks from a small pup that’s excited about the world. gyuvin already had a suspicion you were hiding something as you kept reminding him not to go into a specific room.

one time, he passed by the said room and heard a small yelp. at first, he thought it was eumppappa but it sounded different. he was about to twist the knob when you stopped him “wait, don't! i told you not to go into that room.” you slap his hand off, gyuvin shaking his hand from the hit. “what’re you hiding from me? what was that sound?” he asks, crossing his arms.

“nothing! it was just eumppappa!” you frantically said, covering the door at all costs. gyuvin frowned, pushing past you and opening the door. you weren’t exactly lying about eumppappa being in there but there was another dog with him, leaving gyuvin wide-eyed “why are there two eumppappa’s?”

you watched as jiwoong softly caress the actor's cheek, the look of fondness in his eyes. he leaned in, lips almost touching. wow, he’s a good actor. too good that you almost want to rip your hair out. although you tried denying it multiple times, jiwoong saw right through you.

after his shoot was over, he tried bringing it up only for you to once again say that you were fine. obviously you were not, so jiwoong did the same thing he did to the actor, lean in closer and caress your cheek with so much care. but this time, actually pressing a kiss to your lips “see? i only have eyes for you.”

it was nearing prom night and you were waiting for yujin to ask you out. sure, you could’ve been the one to ask him instead but you had too much pride. trying to hide the fact you were upset that yujin hadn’t asked you out yet.

eventually, he did, and you were so excited but you decided it was a good idea to hide the excitement too. yujin rolled his eyes after witnessing you squealing to having a reality check, clearing your throat “you have to be more honest.” you pursed your lips together, looking at everything and anything except yujin “what do you mean?” yujin laughs, about to tease you “what do you mean?” he mocks, holding his stomach from the laughter.

you playfully hit his shoulder and yujin finally stops, tears forming in his eyes. he takes a deep breath before admitting “i was gonna ask you out earlier..” trailing off and almost bursting into laughter again “i just wanted to see how long you’d deny being upset about it.”

I couldn't help myself and uploaded 7 chapters already. I'm kinda afraid you guys may not like it, LOL, therefore I decided to put some thoughts about the protagonists here and if you do not identify with my way/pov of seeing them I strongly recommend that you don't read the fanfic because you will hate it.

♏ JASON: I don't think he's THAT bad. I like to think that this "strong" personality of him is just a mask he puts on because he doesn't like/want to show people that, deep down... He's a vulnerable human being.

You know those Pitbull dogs? They're very gentle breed, but because of their size people think they're aggressive! I believe Jason is exactly like that: from afar, it seems like he's going to bite you... But if you just get close tender and gentle and pet his belly, he'll roll over asking for more love. (lmao)

I also like to think that Jason wasn't always so tough like this. In my head, at some point in his life... He was the kid who was bullied — not the one who bullied. So that's why he's like this today, a bit scatterbrained and cruel.

I believe that CEO Jason is totally different from Family-Son-Brother Jason. (Yes, I think he has a younger brother*¹) We all act differently when we're at work VS with friends VS family, so why not, right?

It'll be so beautiful to see Candy breaking down all the barriers he built around his inner child MUHAHAHAHA this is so cliché, but I love it!

Headcanons facts I keep in my mind for him:

He was bullied throughout his entire pre-adolescence for being skinny, and also for the white streaks of hair on the sides of his head;

The tattoo on his arm is to cover a scar.

He started taking boxing lessons at 17 because he was tired of getting beaten up by classmates who teased him for being skinny.

He knows how to play the piano and appreciates Operas.

He speaks 4 languages.

He holds a degree in finance, with a specialization in public relations, and has an MBA in administration.

He enjoys a bit of BDSM, yes.

¹* the younger brother is the only person who makes Jason be, like, GOOD. Jason acts totally different when he's around his brother... As if he wants to set an example, you know? Now let's move on to...

♓ CANDY : A tender young woman who, after getting into trouble with Ioan, doesn't want anything to do with mixing work and romance anymore. She doesn't want anything to do with spoiled boys anymore and vowed to put them in their place if she ever came across one again. Sometimes she misses having someone to fulfill her desires, but being a one-night stand for someone is out of the question for her.

She hates casual encounters and wants to find someone for a true, deep and lasting connection. She's firm in her principles, but sometimes she doubts what to do. She constantly follows her heart instead of reason, and she knows she has to stop this stupid habit if she doesn't want to get hurt again.

She's kind, charismatic, and has a big sense of humor. She doesn't back down from Jason's provocations and responds to him in "style"! She's convicted

In the game, she's Ysaline, but for this fanfic, I'll use my OC, Candy who is a redhead and white just because yes ;-;

Headcanons about her:

When she was a child, she hated her name and insisted that everyone must call her "Mandy"

She knows how to speak 4 languages, including sign language.

She likes to sing.

She loves to draw.

Her mom has Latin origins.

She went to college when she was only eighteen years old.

She graduated in advertising, completed a postgraduate degree in information management, and later pursued a specialization in crisis management. She has an MBA in digital marketing. The girl LOVES to study and learn new thing lol (Latin families are kind of strict with that)

She is afraid of heights.

Now... Let's go to the context I imagined for the story. That is: some headcanon facts that I wanted to add to their past to make everything make more sense.

• Jason and Candy studied together, but they don't remember. (fact which will be explored around by the Chapter 10+-)

—> Jason used to tease Candy during class: he would take her pencil case and run away... Tie her shoelaces to the chair leg without her noticing... Tangle her hair, etc. (thinking they had a cat-and-mouse dynamic since childhood makes the whole thing funnier, hahaha)

• Their families were close when they were kids, but a tragedy happened and they lost contact.

—> Jason's father and Candy's father were on a small business trip when their car was brutally hit by a truck. Jason was with them, got seriously injured, and his forearm got a terrible scar (hence his tattoo).

—> Candy's father died instantly. Jason's father is in a coma till nowadays.

—> After the accident, Candy's mother (named Edith Beaumont, not Zahra Dolga) moved with her daughters back to their home country, getting closer to her parents again. Only years later did she return to Amoris, but she never bothered to look for the Mendals to reconnect.

• Everything Jason built was thinking of his father. How satisfied he would be when he woke up from the coma and found out that Jason had been successful as he had always planned... (fact will be explored by the Chapter 20+-)

—> After his father fell into a coma, Jason's uncle named Viktor - the vice-president in the time - took over the company leadership, and Jason had been groomed since childhood to work there. Eventually, Viktor's hunger for power got to his head, and he refused to integrate Jason into the board (after he graduated from college) using the excuse of his poor behavior. From then on, Jason was like, "Oh, so they think I'm the villain? Then I'll be the villain! I don't need this selfish family for anything SCREW THEM UP" and left his father's company only to invest in his own dream.

This fanfiction starts with fire already (but if it slow down after that). So, if you are the kind that don't like smut scenes... Well, good luck reading it. I tried to do something easy so everyone with all tastes could read but... Softness is not something I expect from JasonXCandy. So if you do not have experience with sex scenes maybe you'll find it... weird?

I don't know if you'll get it: I had to start right away with the tension between them finally blowing up. After all, isn't that what we want to see? All hell breaking loose? I'm a sassy reader/player. Of course I want CHAOS. There was no other way: whenever I thought about their story, I got bored having to tell everything from the beginning so my mind just said, '"Nah, start narrating 6 months after the start of the game (MCL) and it's all good. Start telling their story by the point they finally can't help and spend a night together*silence* *considering* But what if people don't lik- *sigh* YOU HAVE TO START THE STORY TELLING HOW THEY WOULD IGNITE TOGETHER, JULIANAAAA'"

⚠️🚨 Why did I decided to write? 🚨⚠️ I just finished playing ep. 3 and my mind started wondering that Beemoov would mess things up. I asked myself how I'd like things to happen between my candy and Jason. I didn't get a answer right away, but then the voice of my imagination whispered "So.... WHAT IF there's this crazy night they spend together, but therefore everything starts over slowly because, guess what? Jason doesn't remember a single thing."

And then I went like "YESSS babe give me that cliche, I'm into it!" and decided to create my own narrative following that ideia of "the night which would change everything about them". Based on that premise, I had to juggle a hundred things to make them able to spend time together after that and... Well, I hope you like the plot my crazy mind came up with!

A big blow, and then a slow-burn filled with a lot of tension though. * LAUGHS * And finally FIRE again.

The romance plot it is indeed enemies to lovers but I don't want to be that "I can't date Jason because OMG what my boss will think?" thing (._.) Well, Candy might have her insecurities but she's an adult, it is kind of dumb wasting her mind thinking like that. So don't expect you'll find here scenes like "He is our rival, it's sooo wrooong dAtInG HiM, Oooh what others will think? *~Cries in drama language~*"

It makes more sense if she is tempted/divided/doubtful because Jason is a Don Juan and she doesn't want to break her heart again. My Candy in particular doesn't like the thing of being one-night-stand. And thanks to Devon and Roy she thinks Jason is a bad bad and spoiled guy, so that's the reason she despises him and thinks she should stay away from him because he'll do no good to her............................. But in the same time: Jason *knows* how to do so well... And he's pretty. But she swore to reduce him to dust.... Hate was everything she felt since the beginning. She can't date someone she despises so much, can she? That's it: She hates him because of his despicable personality, it has nothing to do about Jason's being the "rival" from Devenementiel.

Now that you've made it this far and didn't give up on me yet, I bet you have everything you need to read this mesmerizing story if you want to. I'm loving writing about these two! The first chapter begins precisely at the event mentioned in the synopsis: they'll be at a masked ball, and from there, everything will unfold! Are you ready?

very curious about any dune perfume thoughts you may have

DUNE PERFUME THOUGHTS...

I feel like with all of Ferbert's tropes around effeminate overly-refined decadence there \_really_ needs to be more perfume action among the houses of the Landsraad, even if for no other reason than conspicuous consumption? The olfactive aspect of spice isn't really centered since its other psychoactive/pharmaceutical merits are more valued, but I've been really curious about the mechanism by which spice is ingested, if everybody's either eating it with their food or drinking it in solution or what. (Or, I guess, floating around in it.) Mentally I guess I'd been picturing spice more like an incense resin than an actual spice, but there's no textual justification or actual reason for that other than really liking incense.

Paul and Jessica both seem especially attuned to scent in the first book, linking it to poison detection but also to the presence of spice, which is probably smart when you're backpacking across Arrakis trying not to get blown up or space stabbed. Spice melange in the raw smells like cinnamon, pre-spice mass has a “rank, semisweet" odor, the Baron's private conference room carries a “faint sweet herb scent that hung on the air, masking a deeper musk”... lot going on in there! Idk if we’re supposed to assume it’s a human body-type musk derived from the Baron’s libertinage, something from the furnishings, or a fragrance element, but I really love the idea of this kind of uncomfortably exquisite sensory space. (And then Piter smells like squeaky latex gloves.) Per the Dune Encyclopedia, there's one fragrant drug whose whole mechanism of action is making you think it smells really really good:

PLENISCENTA (Rosa osymyrrah), the "Green Perfume Flower," is a small, delicate shrub with variegated leaves: the blooms are a brilliant emerald green and, when taken from Ecaz and sterilized, decompose with a most exquisite smell. Pleniscenta perfume has a benign psychomimetic effect: it overwhelms the olfactory nerves and causes localized synaptic responses which the brain interprets as indescribably pleasurable smells.

(Pleniscenta is also one of the flowering plants in the conservatory on Arrakis.)

The other big perfume culture question I have wrt the world of Dune/the various cultures represented in Dune is: what's the alcohol situation???? Social drinking isn’t the only determinant of alcohol based perfumery vs oil based (and there are lots of historical ways of incorporating scent that aren’t either one, which I would love to see incorporated into the corporate-feudal future of Dune) but it would be fun to explore different cultural uses of fragrance in that context.

For character-specific scents, oh this is so tough… there’s a big cast and a lot of high class weirdos to be represented but I think Etat Libre d’Orange has some fun scents for House Atreides. The Baron and Feyd are both pleasantly scented in ways that fall right into the same vein of weird stereotypes that House Harkonnen does (so, spicy resiny ambery scents some long-dead French guy decided reminded him of The Orient(tm), that well known cultural monolith????) but I think Piter’s scentscape would need to be made by a brand that specializes in really sterile chemical smells like Xyrena’s theme park bromine notes. (Not that he smells like a theme park dark ride, just that kind of “not existing in nature in any way” thing.) For Arrakis and Fremen characters I would want to go in the opposite direction and explore small-batch natural perfumery. I don’t own a damn thing from For Strange Women etc. because of the cost but I would want to seek out an indie natural brand that draws from desert botanicals (maybe some uncommon animal ingredients like hyrax? Rock hyraxes 🤝 sandworms) and wildcrafting, thinking of all the space ecology at work and the super sophisticated scarcity-minded tech the Fremen employ in that. And the Bene Gesserit are sexy liturgical incense girlies, ofc.
