I don’t think the patterns are that complex at all really, I think the hardest part would be his hair but even that isn’t so bad. I guess some basic knowledge would be required but other than that he’s simple! You can do him by hand or machine, either way really. Though machine sewing I believe makes things more sturdy so just be careful if you go for hand stitched. Oh yes, the patterns for the jacket aren’t included because I don’t think I could have made that! The jacket is from build-a-bear and theres a link to the page for it in the instructions. I tried to make him build-a-bear size and he fits pretty decently in those clothes so if you wanna get him silly outfits you absolutely can 👀

ooooooooooh! good question. i have to say that i have been extremely impressed by the marvel darth vader comics, gillen and larroca's darth vader (2015-2016) run is famously very good, set between ep. 4 and 5, vader discovers luke is his son and we get to see a bit inside the machinations of imperials. in the last arc 'end of games' he has a vision where he kills both obi-wan and his younger self (#24) and is very worth a read!!

the 2015 run also includes the story arc 'vader down,' a six-issue crossover, which i found very memorable like the panel below lives in my mind lol

soule's (2017-2018) run is also very great, set shortly after ep.3 during the jedi purge, you get to see him bleeding a lightsaber crystal (has a vision that includes obi-wan), then a really powerful arc about building his fortress on mustafar and going on a dark side journey to try to get padmé back.

the 'bad ground' issue #18 is also a personal fav bc he asks tarkin to hunt him for sport lmao and so we get to see him through tarkin's eyes and tarkin has a very uhhh interesting perspective on him lol and it's fun to see how badly it goes for him.

the new run of pak's (2020-) is pretty good too, it's set between ep.5 and 6, so he knows about luke and goes to naboo to investigate, etc, so the emperor fucks him up pretty bad for getting soft lmao, but it's also kinda about building lore to explain the events of rise of skywalker (e.g. how the fuck were there so many star destroyers with planet killing kyber, etc) so that part is kinda meh to me, but vader is a badass and that is very fun.

so lkasfkljsd i guess my advice is that the marvel darth vader stuff is worth checking out. in terms of older, dark horse comics, the legends version of what happened after ep.3 is pretty good in purge (2005). he's kinda on a killing spree and looking for obi-wan which you know. is a good thing to read lol and then darth vader and the cry of shadows (2013) includes content that will haunt your nightmares:

tldr; it's kinda hard to go wrong with vader in the comics haha they really don’t shy away from making him a monster but also dig into his character in ways that before the kenobi show we just didn’t see on screen

I wanted to have a pair of Irken ocs haha:

Nano is a pak mechanic and Vil an Irken doctor and specialist in creating prostheses. After extending a set of prostheses and making an Irken taller than he was before, he started making Irken that could provide favors and protection taller through operations. Nano is his assistant and making sure that the paks of the clients are not taking record of things.

Vil had extended his height multiple times and has taken physical damaged from it, which is why he now has to wear a stabilizing corset. He also has a slight god complex and Nano protects and helps him but also tries challenging Vils beliefs.

Nano is a true neutral character and Vil a chaotic good. Vils goal is to help others and while he can be intimidating to his clients, he does his job good and is well respected. Nano doesn't help Vil because he wants to help others, he does it because he simply wants to help Vil.

For anyone that's interested, here is the more detailed backstory I came up with for them :3

While the pak mechanics know the pak and how the programming works, the doctors basically know everything about the biological body and how it's connected to the pak. Normally an irken doesn't need assistance from a doctor if something is wrong, because the pak should be able to handle everything. If not then normally an Irken is not worth saving, especially if a pak mechanic is unable to fix it. But in rare cases or if an Irken is supposed to be kept alive because it's needed for another purpose.. or is tall or able to provide something in exchange, a doctor is going to be involved to fix whatever issues is preventing the Irken to heal like it's supposed to.

Since the doctors are not as busy with active cases like the mechanics, they have time to try to further improve the irkens biological body (For example how Irkens have eye implants to ensure that they have good vision). At the beginning Vil was known for creating different prostheses so the person wearing it was able to get back to continuing their positions in the society without any trouble and others noticing it (Be it a missing limb, a broken antenna or anything else not working like it's supposed).

The extent to which he was able to help his clients had been something that he tried to keep a secret because he knew, that if other outside irkens knew, it would be frowned upon. If an Irken is unable to fight or continue their assigned position, they shouldn't be saved. But Vil disagreed with that. If an irken was devoted to the empire, he would help them.

So that's how he had operated his whole life until an Irken asked him, if Vil would be willing to slightly extent a set of leg prostheses to make the Irken appear taller since even just a few cm would allow him a better position. Since the Irken was taller than Vil and promised him a private lab in exchange to improve his crafts even further and faster, without having to do it secretly all the time, he agreed to it.

The taller Irken provided the lab and Vil saw how his work had significantly bettered the life from the other. Before he was just able to help the Irkens continue with their life, no matter how miserable he thought it was. Now he had been able to help this Irken cheat the system and he felt pretty powerful because of that. He also liked that this tall Irken had his respect and promised protection and loyalty, despite Vil being a lot smaller than him.

Not much time had passed before he continued thinking more about the possibilities. But cases of an Irken with both legs needing a prostheses were pretty rare, considering that even his normal cases were uncommon.. and healthy Irkens with other problems usually didn't really want to have both their legs cut off for a chance of a better position- so he tried out different ways to make a body taller without having to replace something.

So.. after trying it out on some deceased bodies he tried it for the first time on himself. And it had worked well. And that's how Vils shady side business of illegally increasing the height of Irkens that were able to provide favors or were willing to become a test subject (because he was only able to try out different methods on himself a limited amount of times) began.

After a while he developed a slight god complex. However he does his job good and due to the respect, the protection of a lot of Irkens (a lot of them tall) and open favors, he is pretty much untouchable, despite doing something illegal. Another thing that is protecting him, is his assistant Nano.

Nano and Vil had been working together at the same clinic (and still do). At the beginning they had been almost the same height, with Vil being just slightly taller. Nano had slowly figured out what Vil had been doing with giving Irkens prostheses but he did not really care. He rather stayed to himself and was not interested in causing trouble for someone he had respected for decades. However, while at first ignoring the possibility of giving Irkens help, that had injuries that he knew Vil could easily fix, he slowly began to redirect cases to him, that normally would have been deleted.

It was when he noticed Vil being more absent or working on designs he didn't show to anyone that Nano got even more suspicious but it was the day when Vil came back to work, clearly being a few cm taller than the last time that he had seen him that he felt like he needed to get some information. And what do you do as a pak mechanic that has a better understanding of codes and numbers than talking and emotions and stuff? You hook the person you want to have information from onto one of your fancy machines and look for the information yourself, because paks, other than the host, were not able to lie.

Nano and Vil had been mutuals and had been working together on cases and despite everything telling him, he should report his findings, he stayed quiet and instead scold Vil for being so shortsighted, because even if he was able to manipulate the host of a pak to protect him, the pak itself would still store the memories of the procedure and the true height of an Irken.

Vils distrust towards nano after that experience caused the two to drift apart.

However during that time Nano started thinking about possible ways to be able to block the pak from taking record of something that is currently going on. And when he had some spare time, he tried building his idea. When Vil asked him, he said it was out of curiosity but it was also because Vil had literally been the only person that hadn't been another pak mechanic, that he was fine talking to. And that meant he didn't really want to have to deactivate him.

After some more time passed, he started working with Vil every time to ensure everything pak related is working correctly and blocking recording and updating the Irkens new height.

Nano doesn't really feel the biggest range of emotions and the ones he does are not intense. But he knows that he likes working with Vil and being his assistant.

Vil has operated so many times on himself that he permanently damaged his spine and now has to wear a stabilizing corset. He is also not as agile anymore and more prone to receiving damage easily. Regarding fights; he is pretty much not made for them anymore and would lose if no one came to help him out.

While Nano of course does understand the importance of height in the irken society, he himself doesn't really understand the extent some of Vils clients (or Vil himself) go through just to get a few cm taller. He is more focused on the mechanics and content with his height and job. He doesn't need to change anything. For him the biological body is just the carrier of the pak. The programming alone decides the fate of the Irken. So to some extent he doesn't take Vils doing and big speeches about changing the system serious. Vil sees it the opposite way. For him the pak is only an extension of the Irken body and he beliefs that even small changes to the actual body can affect the life of an Irken a lot.

In the past Vil had offered Nano to make him taller but so far Nano had always declined. He is however always assisting Vil after he had done something to himself or covers him or makes sure clients know that they can trust Vil and shouldn't question him too much.

Hi!  I’m glad that I left anon on just for this then!  I do indeed read a lot of the Star Wars comics, though, I go in fits and starts with them, like a lot of people do. 😂 My recommendations are: - Star Wars 2015 (by Jason Aaron) + Darth Vader 2015 (by Kieron Gillen) - I put these two together because the first 6 or so issues are meant to be read concurrently, they’re events crossing over into each other and showing different aspects from different points of view, and I think it really helps to enrich both stories if you’re alternating between the two for at least six issues. Beyond that, they’re both just really, really solidly good comics!  They’re set just post-ANH, where Luke is discovering more about being a Jedi, where we see Vader discovering the identity of the pilot who took out the Death Star, where Leia is dealing with the political stuff of the galaxy, etc.  They’re probably still some of the best comics that SW has put out, imo! - Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 2017 (by Charles Soule) - This is the second Darth Vader comic series (so pay attention to who the author is--the current ongoing one is by Greg Pak, which is solidly good, but hasn’t yet hit the same heights as either of these, for me) and it’s set in the aftermath of Revenge of the Sith and this is easily my favorite SW comic.  Soule really digs into the connection between Anakin and Vader, how they are very much the same person, how the first volume of Darth Vader comics is about who Vader is during the OT, the Soule one is about flaying him open to understand just how he cannot face what he’s doing or the other choices he could have made. It’s over the top drama (it’s SO DRAMATIC and I LOVE IT) in a way that really highlights just how awful Anakin has become, that he is crushing even more of himself and you can see him losing still yet more and more, eventually leading to something like the OT version we know from later. - Obi-Wan & Anakin by Charles Soule - This is only five issues, as well as I generally recommend reading it two or three times, because Soule is actually pretty solid about not always spoon-feeding you everything and how the narrative arcs and parallels are more subtle than you’d expect from Star Wars.  The art in this one is stunning, the worldbuilding has a ton of cool details, you get to see bb!Anakin considering leaving the Jedi Order and why he decides to stay, as well as some really fascinating connections to how the Jedi see the galaxy and how Anakin sees it. - Age of Republic by Jody Houser - There are eight issues of this maxi series, each one focusing on a different character, and they’re all really interesting and have some amazing character moments.  My favorites are the Obi-Wan and Anakin ones, there’s a lot you really get to see about their relationship and how supportive it actually is, but all of them have really great looks at the characters they’re focusing on. - Jedi of the Republic: Mace Windu by Matt Owens - Okay, fair warning, the art for this series is not going to be for everyone, there are some seriously wonky panels in it, but the story itself is a great look at Mace’s character.  Both for the bits of backstory about him and for about how the Jedi look at the galaxy, that Mace Windu is such a rich, wonderful character and deserved a look at him like this.  Bonus, Kit Fisto is hilarious in this comic! - Star Wars Adventures by multiple authors - Basically anything in the Adventures line is worth reading!  Most of them are fairly light stuff, not super deep, they’re meant to be cute stories, but I’ve enjoyed all of the ones I’ve read and the prequels ones usually have some moment that’s completely batshit in a way that’s totally true to Star Wars.  They’re kid-focused comics, but really, really adorable ones. - Clone Wars Battle Tales by Michael Moreci - Speaking of dramatic fun, this mini series is just an absolute scream, they’re totally ridiculous in the way that I would read a hundred issues of them.  Plus, you get some really great Jedi moments or Anakin hilarity moments and I’m always down for that, too. - Kanan: The Last Padawan by Greg Weisman - Speaking of gorgeous art!  Never will you see a woman as beautiful as Depa Billaba in this comic, my goodness.  But you also get the story of bb!Caleb going through Order 66 and the trauma of running in the galaxy as a former Padawan who had their Master gunned down in front of them and, boy, did this comic know how to make it hurt.  There’s some cool worldbuilding in there, some amazing looks at the Jedi pre-Order 66, and just a whole lot of feelings. - Shattered Empire by Greg Rucka - This is a four-issue mini-series with a) gorgeous art and b) a whole lot of connective tissue/aftermath for the galaxy post-Return of the Jedi.  Rucka’s writing is solid here and you get a good variety of different characters and the paths they’re starting down and what they’re planning to do next, and it’s just a very solid read. - Poe Dameron by Charles Soule - I really didn’t expect to love this comic as much as I did, but Soule really knocked it out of the park and created a funny, moving, interesting journey for the character.  Even if Poe’s not your usual fave, the work this comic put into being interesting and connecting various things and telling a fun, actiony story really was good. - Age of Rebellion and Age of Resistance are both solid mini-series that I would definitely recommend!  My heart beats for the prequels, so I’m more focused on those, but if you’re interested, these are great looks at individual characters, too. HONORABLE MENTIONS: - The Princess Leia comic by Mark Waid is one I haven’t reread in awhile but I remember greatly enjoying it.  I’ve enjoyed Soule’s current 2020 Star Wars ongoing comic, though, because of the pandemic, it hasn’t had a chance to get a ton of issues out yet. I enjoyed the Darth Maul mini series by Cullen Bunn and, if you wind up liking Aphra from the first Vader comic, she gets her own spin off comic that’s really solid, too!

For the case of Saudi Arabia and Iran, it’s almost like a tug of war. When Pakistan’s relationship with Saudi worsens, his relationship with Iran gets better. When relations with Iran take a nosedive , then his relationship with Saudi gets better. Lately, the former is happening. Personally, i like Iran better because they are our neighbors and much history and culture is shared with them :)

As for Hindustan, there are honestly too many issues i could honestly write a book on it. So in the end i decided to grossly simplify Pak’s perspective on him. 

For Afghanistan, i decided to go a lot more softer on him because i felt the need to give him more positive attention. The situation in Afghanistan is very similar to what Pakistan was in a few years back. Obviously the situation in Afghanistan is a lot worser than what was going on in Pakistan. But as someone who’ve had multiple first-hand experiences in that heinous period during my early childhood, i can sympathize with what they have had to go through on a level. So i’m going to make my Pakistan have a soft spot for Afghan :’) so that he has someone who cares for him to a extent (but will never admit to it openly). Pakistan has taken in millions of Afghan refugees, so Afghanistan stays over at Pak’s place pretty often.

I’m so glad this ask gave me a gateway to rant about comics I criticize marvel and DC literally all the time, this is like the 5th time but I love to say it: Post-9/11 iterations of iconic superheroes of American culture, especially ones like Batman and Iron-man, are literally the manifestation of contemporary myth-making of American capitalism, as well as American-exceptionalism neoliberal copganda. My last super viral post was completely shitting on how Tibet is represented in Doctor Strange, you should check it out (it’s old though so not my best). It’s kind of an academic hobby of mine to rip apart comics because I love media studies a lot. My entire final project for my Tibetan Studies course in uni was on orientalist misrepresentations of Tibet in Western superhero comics such as Doctor Strange and Iron Fist and the “Shangri-La” phenomenon (I can link if you want I’d have to revise some sections though, haha)! Also if you follow my social media you probably see me preaching the book Capitalist Superheroes: Caped Crusaders in the Neoliberal Age by Dan Hassler Forest, it’s one of my favorite pieces of academic media studies writing, it completely breaks down the concept of the American “superhero" using a Marxist lens and I am obsessed with it. Warning though it’s REALLY dense but I think it’s extremely well-researched and really puts into perspective how important media studies can be when analyzing the political characteristics of nations, and how media shapes the minds of youth in their image.

I said multiple times I don’t mind that people enjoy and consume Avatar, I just wanted to point out it’s flaws in representing the Tibetan people, which is rooted in the writers being white. Comics also does this too, and I have written about this problem both on Tumblr and in an academic setting! So many fictional works created in the Western World has political implications that are problematic in nature, which is why I as a fan enjoy it and also enjoy criticizing and dissecting it! It helps me better understand how politics are ingrained in almost every aspect of our lives! You can enjoy things you are critical of, so please don’t worry! 

I agree with you, enjoying superhero comic companies is definitely a double edged sword, because of their problematic existence as corporate entities while they are now hiring more diverse writers and artists for specific projects that give positive representation for marginalized groups, like Ms. Marvel and Ironheart. I personally try my best as a fan of superhero comics to minimize my impact in contributing to the corporate side and white creators pockets by torrenting popular, large comic titles written by white men. I only actively purchase small series that give writers of color and women a salary and a platform, such as my absolute favorite writers Saladin Ahmed, Greg Pak, G Willow Wilson, Eve Ewing, and Ta Nehisi Coates! They’re all excellent writers so check out their comics and outside works! I also don’t watch superhero movies anymore, I just generally don’t like them that much outside of Black Panther, aka the best superhero film.

Time for a promo: My favorite superhero team of all time, the Champions, focusses on characters of color like Kamala Khan, Miles Morales, Sam Alexander, Amadeus Cho and Riri Williams, and is currently being written by esteemed black academic Eve Ewing. The next issue of her Champions reboot is coming out in October 2020. It’s going to focus on how teen superheroes and vigilantes challenge the government and status quo, I’m so excited about it so PLEASE check out your local comic store and buy an issue if you’re interested in supporting comic creators of color writing heroes of color! It really needs financial support after Covid delayed the release. Champions in the past also gave a platform for Indigenous Canadian voices by pulling in Inuit creative Nyla Innuksuk and collaborated with her to create the new Champions member, Inuit superhero Snowguard (my baby), so if you are interested in modern and inspiring indigenous narratives please check out those past issues as well ❤️

I am a leftist of color (anti-imperialist anarcho-communist would be my best bet but I don’t like labels) myself, who is critical about how Western leftists often romanticize geopolitical situations they are unfamiliar with and nation-states that they have never been to or have been a part of. I hope you understand that leftism, like many things, isn’t a monolith and there are many disagreements and critical discussions happening within the left all the time, groups such as anarcho-communists and marxist-leninist-maoists really aren’t the same. If you happen to fall into the more tankie/authoritarian side of the spectrum, uh I guess sorry if I offended you by criticizing my colonizers lmao but these discourses are fairly common and happen all the time, I’m surprised you’re not familiar with it? Does Red have that one genetic disorder? What does it do to Irkens who do have it?

OOOHHH OKAY SO this is all gonna be headcanon stuff for ANX (watch me forget to tag the post as such lmao) so itll be canon divergent at points

so The Red Eye Thing, which has no formal name because why would irkens name it, is a linked gene between the gene that causes red eyes, and a genetic disorder that leaves an irken with a little extra chunk of chromosome in a sex cell that made them. (a sex cell is like, either the sperm or the egg, one of those) not an entire extra chromosome, that doesn’t happen among irkens, but a chunk.

you can’t have red eyes without having The Red Eye Thing, so yes red does have it! ^^

i just have to go on record and say that in ANX, irkens still reproduce naturally. they dont mate for fun or keep the young, but its still not artificial. smeets are also VERY IMPORTANT in irken society as they are seen as the future of the empire (like, assaulting a smeet is so universally hated that if someone is jailed for it they will 100% be killed before they ever stand trial. smeet assaulters are so hated that the control brains know this happens and they just let it happen)

so given how societally important smeets are, it tends to be Very Bad for Red Eyes that the main problem their genetic disorder gives them is infertility. theyre basically looked down upon societally because they’re unable to do a basic biological function that even smallers and defectives can do. 

i mentioned they also have hyperpigmented skin in my other ask, but im putting it here again anyway. skin colors from that hyperpigmentation can range from “dark, but still normal irken dark” to “i have never seen a skin color as dark as yours before holy fuck” these edits i did of red are what he looks like in ANX, and hes on the way far end of the spectrum- out of 100+ characters in ANX, some other Red Eyes, he’s the darkest one. the hyperpigmentation is a result of the extra chunk of chromosome lmao

also, Red Eyes have trouble detecting pheromones other irkens give off. this can be just dulled senses, or it can be a total lack of detection, like what Red has. (ur seeing a pattern arent u, red has a more “severe” case of his genetic disorder.)

the gene also causes developmental disorders which... aren’t exactly on a sliding scale per se? it’s kind of like autism where every Red Eye acts differently from each other that there’s no real “universal experience” for how this specific thing presents itself.

the red eye gene is passed on from parent to child, it won’t mutate and it can’t be carried- you either have it or you don’t.

but since those cells are purged, that’s at least half of the fertile cells. of course if they have a more severe case, like red, it would be more than half. so it is moderatley hard to nigh impossible for Red Eyes to conceive or fertilize, depending on who it is. so since only Red Eyes can pass down The Red Eye Gene, and these bitches rarely have smeets, there’s only like.... one Red Eye per generation, maybe two.

(fun facts: there used to be more Red Eye family lines, but some idiot got it in his head that Red Eyes caused defectiveness and that most defect trials were a false positive so in order to save everyone he needed to kill all Red Eyes, so now there.... aren’t..... any more......) so tl;dnr: it’s a genetic disorder caused by an extra chunk of chromosome in either a sperm or egg that made the irken. it causes infertility, hyperpigmentation, low or no ability to detect irken pheromones, and a developmental disorder that presents differently in everyone that has it.

Red Eyes are seen as... well... broken pieces of shit. before red was tallest, there WAS another Red Eye Tallest in recent history- tallest Zim. remember in my last ask, i said Red Eyes are liked a little too well sometimes? well... due to their infertility, they’re frequent targets for rape, especially in the military, since military irkens aren’t allowed to mate. nab a Red Eye and you can have all the fuck you want without any, er, evidence. red honestly was lucky he was constantly stickied to purple as an elite, otherwise Horrible Things could’ve happened.

is red related to tallest zim? yes, zim is red’s grandfather.

is red’s tendency to forget words a part of his developmental disorder? it could be, could not be. there’s not much of a sample size due to yknow, the genocide, so there’s no-one to compare his symptoms against. the disorder presents differently in everyone so even if red is the only living Red Eye with that symptom, doesnt mean its NOT a symptom ya dig? but im gonna word of god it and say yes it is

can you have the same chromosome thing without being a Red Eye? yes! in this ask i talk about spork having a learning disability- he has the same chromosome thing, it just gives him different symptoms because he doesnt have the specific instance that red eyes have.

can you have red eyes without the chromosome thing? no, the gene for red-colored eyes is stickied to the Extra Chunk gene, and unlike chromosome issues, which can happen to any irken, an irken will not randomly mutate a gene for red-colored eyes.

is the term “red eye” derogatory? it was EXTREMELY derogatory before tallest zim took power. now it’s just a general term for a red eyed irken, but... irkens will still use it in an insulting way. like... “queer” is the best parallel i can draw. used to be a slur, now is a general term, but some people still clearly use it as a slur against others. 

are red eyes called slurs? YES. they are targets for The Word. The Worst Word In The Irken Language, So Bad You Can’t Even Call It “The __ Word” Because It’s Too Close To Saying The Word. It Is Just, “The Word.” it used to be WAY worse before the genocide, simply because there were more of them. it decreased even more after tallest zim took power, but make no mistake, it’s still out there. also The Word translates out to “condemned obsolete bastard” with a side order of “the beginning of The Word sounds like im spitting on you and thats also exactly what it means.” its an awful slur its like if every human slur had an orgy

are Red Eyes defective? they can be! defectiveness is in the PAK, not in an irken’s biology. that’s why they’re called genetic disorders and not genetic defects, to separate them from the “we are going to execute you” defectiveness. they’re still scorned as if they are defective, though. sometimes theyre called “worse than defectives” as a jab at their infertility- like, even the empire’s worst can do that, ya dig? 

back in The Old Days, there was probably a mix of defective and non-defective Red Eyes. now they’re all defective by coincidence.

Internship Experience at PT. Tirta Investama (Aqua)

hello it’s been a long time i’m not post anything yet ever since last year. so i do my apologize if there will be grammatical errors because i’ve forgotten my English written skill huhu. this make me cry a lot (sorry for being too much)

This was my college project on 5th semester that started since July, 17 2017 until August, 19 2017. Well, PT Tirta Investama Bandung is located at  Jalan Soekarno Hatta near Rancabolang. PT Tirta Investama is a private company that run in distribution field under the auspices of Aqua Danone Golden Missisippi. Aqua is a company that produce mineral water in packaging. Right after the products is already done in the factory, PT Tirta Investama distributes the products from factory into supermarket,minimarket, hotel, school, government,cafe etc. then, ready to be consumed by consumers.

the story begin when i came into wrong place, i went into Tirta Utama Abadi which is located in front of Tirta Investama. then i went to Tirta Investama after someone told me where the right place was. the project actually was made into group, so my group member consist of dini, fitri and my self. we went there, and we get safety direction because the area has a lot of trucks that quite dangerous. Fyi, the warehouse has bigger area than the office itself.  

we have to walk  on this yellow path in order to avoid accident that caused by the truck. on this photo we can also see that beside an indoor warehouse there’s also an outdoor warehouse near the parking lot. 

after we passed those areas, we went to the office. first we have to meet Mr. Tb. Sopyan as IR & GA in Human Resource Dept. Room. He is the person who accept us to do internship there. He told us to wear proper either formal or casual and it was not allowed to wear sandals on working days. Working days actually on Monday until Saturday from 08.00 am - 16.00. but because we’re only internship, the working days only ran until Friday.

Mr TB divided   us into 3 department, the first 2 week i work in HRD. this department consist of 3 positions which are Mr. Toto Suranto as Hr Dept. Head, Ricka Luciana as Company Benefit Supervisor and she also appointed to be my mentor as long as i  did my internship, and Mr TB as i already mentioned him before.

HR Dept. responsible for developing potential skills that the employees have. payroll, leave, allowances, training, mutation, rate the performances of the employees are also their main job task. as long as i worked there Mr. Toto told me a lot of knowledge and taught me huge experiences that i’ve never known before. he told me about, how hard  working environment that i had to face after i graduate, he told be how to be a good HR. you must understand your co-workers, you should listen more often and give positive  feedback. Openness  character are really needed to suit this position. To work as HR  also charged to understand the regulation that government had UU Number 13 year of 2013 about Employment. also during i was there, i was challenged to assess people‘s character by him. it was really hard tbh, but he told me that if i already getting use to it, there will no difficulty to find. in HR dept, i have responsibilities to input employee’s attendance that integrated with fingerprint system, archive employee’s files, validate employee’s allowance, calculating overtime employee’s , make job description that any position the company has. Mr Toto and Mrs Ricka love to talk a lot, sometimes it was hard to me to concentrate between my task and to talk with them at the same time. Otherwise, Mr TB is a serious person that talk less and i have to start the conversation first with him. I’ve made mistakes enough when i validate employee’s allowance because i didn’t do it properly as she wished. it was quite strain for me, bcs this is my first work experience. then Mr Told me that mistakes are common to made so i don’t have to feel afraid. but just remember that mistakes were made to learn not to repeat. he also told me that i have to add more skills such as English competencies, team work capability, public speaking, of course computer skills and do less activities that only waste my time such us hanging out etc. haha i really love hanging out with friends huhu

this is when i worked as HR to input employee’s attendance

On the 3rd week i moved to distribution department. This department responsible for inbound and outbound. i had to directly contact with drivers, because they had to bring documents from us when they take the products/goods from warehouse, deliver it to retail/hotel/school etc and also they need documents from us if the want to return those goods (jug rack, empty bottle). so for 1 week, i have to create BKB (bukti kembali barang), RIT (sales), BTB (bukti terima barang) documents. My mentors as long as i was there are Pak Uhe, Bu Abet and Bu Mega, they’re very friendly and funny. This department requires capability of team work hopefully,  it was really great to work with them. from distribution/warehouse dept. i learnt new software, it was called SAP. i don’t know what SAP stands for, because sadly none of them couldn’t afford to tell. People who worked in this department are divided into 2 shifts, morning and evening. this work was quite boring if you do it  continuously, because we had to work on the desk keep our eyes straight to monitor and typing also printing :’) but gladly, there were pak uhe, bu abet and bu mega that made time flew so fast :’) 

this my work desk, i was creating BKB for the next day.

after a week, i went to finance dept. i was responsible for arranging delivery note, invoice, so on. it was quite boring actually, because i kept on doing the same thing and didn’t get any knowledge at all. The real work of finance dept. wasn’t given to the intern. trust issue i guess.

            Actually the place where i sit was for collector dept. in the morning there were many employees who worked as collector and after that they go to collect bill from consumers and they returned about 4 p.m. People there are quite friendly, and they love to talk a lot. until one day I found person who lived around my house and he quite recognize about my family. 

              this was a valuable experience, not all of my friend could have the experience i had. about working life, socializing, problem solving and so on. i got paid but not that much it was only RP 21.000,- each day. so i got around RP 450.000 and also certificate that proved i had been working there. I’ve passed about 5 weeks there but it felt like yesterday, wondering if only i have holiday will i be accepted to internship there again? it was a really worth and unforgettable experience that I’ve ever had.  so lucky to be there, can’t wait until i graduate and find my own job
