We Interupt your regularly scheduled program for.......A MATCHUP TRADE WITH: @lxmiko!!!!!!
Thx for doing this with me. This was actually an easy one and I think you’ll be happy with it. ;) DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!
🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
SHU YAMINO!!!
this gif is hilarious-
You and Shu are honestly a match made in haven type of couple. You like the same things, have similar temperaments, and are great at leading and taking care of your friends.
You and Shu actually met on YouTube. you guys were both starting your streaming careers; however, he was doing it with Nijisanji and you were working on your own.
Like him you were also a mythical creature. You were a siren (the bird kind not the mermaid kind) a being known for luring others with your beautiful voice.
However, despite enjoying your family and friends and wanting to be around them, you didn’t want to use your abilities for darkness like they did. You wanted to share your voice to make people happy instead.
So, you became an indie streamer/music artist, using your voice and personality to spread joy to others. You would record covers, hand cams where you build Legos, and stream games. Games like visual novel play throughs, puzzle games, indie games and fps games.
Which is how you met Shu Yamino.
There was a Valorant competition was being held among the vtuber community. All the corporate and indies were welcomed to join. You weren’t particularly confident in your skills, but you decided to join anyway for fun.
The teams were randomized in groups of five and you just happened to end up on a team with Shu. Now you don’t live under a rock, you knew who Shu was and knew he was a beast at the game. You actually looked up to him, not just for his fps skills but for his singing voice as well.
As to make sure you made your teammates proud, you decided to have a Valorant training arc and asked you teammates and friends to play with you as often as possible.
Of course, they were happy to help, but Shu was the one who offered to help most often given it was one of if not his favorite game. Through these training sessions you guys got to know each other properly.
You would talk about anything and everything. You guys talked about your favorite foods, your favorite hobbies, your favorite games (he was happy you like Valorant like he did and asked if you guys could keep playing after the tournament), likes, dislikes, hopes, dreams, and much more. You guys even decided to do a cover together (Cendrillion)
You guys got really close during the passing weeks to the point where you guys could consider yourself real friends, and maybe even more you both hoped.
The tournament came and went (you guys won obviously), and he expressed his desire to keep hanging out with you...in a more romantic fashion (he was a very red and flustered Shu when he was asking you, but you didn't hear that from me).
And that's how you two got together. It may seem simple; however, your relationship is anything but. You see Shu is more of a soft and quiet romantic. It is very hard to fluster this man, but you do it without even trying. So, he expresses his love more with gestures than with words.
He gives you gifts, takes you out to fun/fancy places, gives you lots of hugs and kisses, but most importantly he's always giving you love, patients, and reassurance. He's always there to lend an ear when you've worked yourself up and give you a hug when you're having an anxiety attack. You don't even have to tell him how you feel because he's such an observant person.
You show your love for in your own equal way. You give him advice, you entertain his silliness, and you remind him to take care of himself. Shu is the reliable and capable mom friend, so it's to be expected that he sometimes forgets to take care of himself. You're there to remind him to take breaks and to focus on himself every once in a while.
Dates with you guys usually just involve staying home and playing video games (we all know this man doesn't touch grass), but sometimes you two will take nice walks in the park, eating ice cream and petting all the dogs.
A very talented and cute gamer couple.

The reader breaks a rule and meets Henry’s family, where awkward questions make for an awkward dinner. Please reblog and leave feedback!
The Traveler's Masterlist
After two and a half months, Henry finally had the money he needed to open up the second location even without renting out the opposite apartment, and the two of you were scouting for the new place. You’d decided that you would run one of them and he would run the other. You were sad that you wouldn’t be working together anymore, but the two of you lived together now, so at least you’d be able to spend time together at home. Henry was also talking about hiring on additional employees if the second location did well, so the two of you wouldn’t have to work so hard.
“What do you think of this place?” He asked. “It’s a little small for what I was thinking, but it’s right next door to a popular wedding venue. We could do special deals for the weddings.”
“That would generate a lot of business, even in the slow season,” You replied. “And it wouldn’t matter if it was small if we had two locations. We could just deliver what we didn’t have here from the main building. It’s only ten minutes away.”
“Right,” He agreed. “So? Is it a yes to this one?”
“Well, it’s your decision, babe,” You said. “It’s your money, your business.”
“And you’re my girlfriend,” He said, pulling you into his arms. “And my business partner. You input matters to me. We make all decisions together.”
You smiled at him fondly. “God, I love you.”
He grinned down at you. “I love you, too. So?”
You looked around one more time and said, “It’s a yes. I like this place. It’s got character.”
“Right? It’s charming. We can work with charming. I’ll pay the deposit on Monday.” He picked you up and swung you around, as well as he could with his long tail in the way. “I’m so excited! Owning my own shop was my dream, and I never expected to be able to expand!”
“I’m so happy for you, babe,” you said, kissing him. “For both of us.”
He kissed you back twice and set you back down on your feet. “So, you’re still up for this weekend? Meeting the parents and everything?”
“Of course, I’m dying to meet them,” You said. “Do… they know about your side job?”
“No, they don’t,” He said firmly. “And I’d like to keep it that way, please. I mean, you know I’m not ashamed of my job, but it’s still my parents. All parents know their kids jerk off and stuff, but they definitely don’t want to talk about it.”
“This is slightly different, don’t you think?”
He shrugged. “It’s still embarrassing to tell them that I take my clothes off for money, even if there’s no touching involved.”
“Well, they won’t hear it from me, then,” You said. “Your secret is safe.”
“Thank you,” He said, smiling. He took your hand and led you out of the vacant building and toward the bus stop. There was a bus for larger non-humans that came twice a day.
“Have you told them much about me?” You asked, sitting on the bench to wait.
“I never shut up about you,” Henry said ruefully. “I’ve been talking about you for years, even before we met. I think they knew I was in love with you before I did. My sister literally told me to shut up once, because I kept gushing about you.”
“That’s sweet,” You said.
“You don’t talk to your folks much, do you?” He asked.
“Not really,” You replied, sitting at the bus stop with him sidling up to coil next to you. “Lots of stuff went down when I left that my parents weren’t cool with, and they said a lot of things that I wasn’t cool with, so we’re just not cool with each other in general.”
“Hmm,” He said. “Well, my sister will like you.” His eyes narrowed. “That may not be a good thing. She keeps trying to steal my girlfriends.”
You laughed. “Well, she doesn’t have a chance. I’m over the moon for you.”
He grinned at you. “That’s good to hear.” He lay his head on your shoulder briefly. “I’m madly in love with you.”
“Yay,” You said softly, kissing the top of his head, careful not to stab yourself on his horns.
“Can we go home and have celebratory sex?” He asked.
“Absolutely. Then we’ll order dinner and play a round of Final Fantasy XIV.”
“It’s a date. I do have a cam session later tonight, though, so I have factor that in.”
“Oh, if that’s the case, we should wait on the sex,” You said, looking down the street and seeing the bus approach. You stood up. “You should be fresh for your clients. We can have all the boning we want afterward. Anything fancy planned?”
“Nope, just a show and share, standard stuff. But it’s a new client, so that’s typical. ”
“Have you dropped a client? You usually don’t take new ones unless one either stops buying slots or you ban someone.”
“One of my old patrons moved on, so I held an auction for his slots. The money from that auction was the final monetary push I needed for the new location,” He said, following you to the curb as the bus stopped in front of you.
“Well, thank you to that person,” You said with a laugh, getting up into the bus. Henry followed you.
After getting home, the two of you ordered some sushi and played video games. Around eight o’clock, he set the controller down.
“Time for the session?” You asked, powering down the game console.
“It will be soon. I need to get ready. Want to help out?”
“Always. That new purple bolero would look lovely, and we can put some spray glitter in your hair.”
“That shit takes forever to get out!” He whined.
“Yeah, but it looks so cute! And I’ll help you wash it out later.”
“Promise?”
“Yes, I promise,” You said. “Come on, I’ll get you all dressed up and looking pretty for your new client.”
“You’re the best, babe.”
You had gotten pretty adept at getting him ready for his shows quickly, and honestly it was a great bonding moment between the two of you. He stayed still and obedient like a puppy while you were doing in and he always looked like a total snack when he was done. Not that he didn’t normally, but the costumes were a great garnish.
When you were finished, you kissed him, said, “Have fun,” And left him to his work.
He’d moved his camming desk and rig to the bedroom so that the two of you could set up his and hers gaming stations in his old office, where the two of you spent a lot of time.
You’d just sat down to play some Among Us with friends when you realized that you’d left your phone in the bedroom. You swore at yourself for being so thoughtless. The number one rule was never interrupt a camming session, it could cost him clients if they found out he had a girlfriend. Some might even want you to participate, and that was not something you were up for.
But you also didn’t want your phone to ring while he was in a video chat. You were usually so careful, so this made you really mad at yourself. Henry couldn’t afford to lose customers right now, with opening the new location. He’d need every penny he could earn.
You knew he kept his Discord up when he was working, in case any emergencies arose and you could notify him, so you pulled it up and typed, >I forgot my phone in the bedroom. Can I come get it?
He typed back, >Sure, just try to be quiet, please.
You tip-toed to the bedroom and pushed the door open gingerly. Henry was talking to his new client playfully. He flicked his eyes over to you and gave you a quick wink before returning his attention to the screen.
Henry’s desk was circular and facing inward toward the wall, so there was be a solid background rather than showing his clients your bedroom. Your phone was on the nightstand next to the bed-nest, out of frame.
“So, tell me a little about yourself, sweetheart,” He said sultrily. “What do you like? What do you like having done to you?” Henry was wearing an earpiece through which the client responded. This prevented you from having to listen and the client from hearing you rattling around in the apartment. “Mmm, that sounds fun. You want to show me, or would you like me to show you first?”
You stealthed across the room and picked up your phone, turning it to silent. When you turned back around, Henry had removed the bolero jacket and was touching his chest suggestively and biting his lip.
“You look so pretty when you do that,” He said with a low-pitched growl in his voice.
Watching him in his element was… kinda hot. Instead of leaving, you sat down quietly on the bed-nest and watched him. He flicked his eyes over to you again for a millisecond, and you heard him typing.
>What are you doing?
>Admiring you. You responded. >You look so sexy.
>You’re breaking the rule.
>Then tell me to leave.
You could tell he was suppressing a smirk, but he didn’t tell you to leave.
>Just be as quiet as possible and you can stay, just this once, He texted you.
>Promise.
He continued the session with you reclining in the nest, watching him work. Normally in the first session with a new client, he didn’t go all the way, so to speak. It was more of a peep show and less of a full service. Usually it was a strip tease and some light touching to entice them to continue their subscription.
The way he was putting on a show for the camera, the exaggerated movements, the low, husky voice, the touching, the sly smirk on his lips, did things to your body. You squeezed your legs together and squirmed slightly, but he didn’t notice.
How much would he let you get away with, you wondered? Slowly, you let your hand slip into the sleep shorts you were wearing, spreading your legs a little.
This time he noticed. A minuscule flick of his eyes made them widen slightly, and he turned back to the keyboard while still engaging with the client.
>Stay quiet, He said. >Don’t make a sound.
He lowered his lashes and took a covert look at you, and you nodded.
He continued with his flirty introduction and laid the flattery on thick to the client, while every once in a while stealing a glance at you. You rocked your pelvis against your hand, massaging your pearl and biting your wrist to keep silent, all while watching him. You saw him pull his tail around under the desk and began stroking his slit in circles, the heads of his dual cocks just starting to peek out.
Just as you were getting to your first orgasm, Henry said, “Well, darling, our time is up. I hope I’ll see you again. I had a wonderful time with you.” He dipped his head down and looked up through his eyelashes, pouting slightly. “Come back soon. Until then, you take care, okay darling? Good night and sweet dreams.”
You came hard, gripping the sheets in one hand as you struggled to stay quiet. Henry exited out of the video chat, tore his earpiece off and threw it onto the desk, and darted toward you, pulling your hand out of your shorts and over your head.
“You…” He said with a dark, gruff tone. “You have been very… very… bad.”
This was a new side to sweet, cuddly Henry. “And what will you do?” You taunted, feeling a little thrill up your spine.
Without warning, he flipped you onto your stomach and snatched your shorts and underwear off. He pushed himself into you, not in a way that hurt, but definitely hard and unceremonious. Since you had climaxed already and were a bit sensitive, it was almost sensory overload, but it was so good, and you gave yourself over to it.
He took both of your hands and held them behind your back with only one of his while he used the other to grip your hip to pull you harder against him.
“Don’t be quiet now,” He growled at you. “Make noise. Moan for me, scream for me, let me hear your voice.”
You were happy to obey, being a little louder than you normally were. You grunted and groaned as he pounded into you roughly, a way he’d never been with you before. He was always gentle and affectionate, and you loved it, but this was on another level. It was hot and passionate and wild, and you were enthralled. You loved Sweet Henry, but Feral Henry was incredible.
Henry came violently against you, growling, and withdrew, thrusting the second cock into you and going full-throttle again. You were used to Henry’s stamina by now, so you could hang with it. Another burst of pleasure crashed into your body, and you screamed his name.
“That’s a good girl,” He snarled into your ear.
A third orgasm, and then a fourth, and by the fifth, you were getting tired. He released one last shot inside you and let you go, collapsing next to you in the nest. You lay face down and gasped.
After a moment or two, he got up on his elbow and stroked your back.
“Are you okay? Do you need some water? I didn’t hurt you, did I?” He asked softly.
Ah. Sweet Henry was back. You loved Sweet Henry. He was the best.
“No, I’m okay, babe,” You turned your head to look at him. “What was that? You’ve never been like that with me before.”
“I don’t know,” He said, looking a little shocked at himself. “I’ve never been like that with anyone before. Was it bad?”
“No, on the contrary, it was amazing,” You replied, turning on your side to face him. “I was just playing with you, I didn’t know I’d bring that out.”
“Me neither,” He said ruefully, laughing self-consciously and scratching the back of his head. “You’re sure I didn’t hurt you?”
“I’d have said so if you did, you know that,” You said, reaching up to stroke his face. “I won’t sit in on sessions again, I know it’s bad for business. But… maybe we could roleplay Feral Henry one night. That was fun.”
He grinned wickedly at you, kissing the inside of your hand. “I look forward to it.”
That Sunday, the two of you took a trip across town to see his family. Despite living in the same city, you hadn’t actually met them yet. They traveled often for work, as they owned an advertising company and worked with businesses across the country. Their daughter, Henry’s older sister, was their secretary and did most of their scheduling.
Henry didn’t want to be an executive with the company and preferred to stand on his own two feet… so to speak. Thankfully, his family was understanding and didn’t object when he decided to follow his dreams instead of staying with the family business. After all, the advertisement company had been his parents’ dream.
You and Henry took a large-race cab service out to the richer end of the city, where his parents lived. They’re house had been built with nagas specifically in mind, so it had been built all on the ground level, but it was huge. There were at least six bedrooms, as far as you could tell.
Henry’s parents, Ruth and Richard, met you at the door. Ruth’s scales were a solid bright blue from waist to tail. Her skin was a burnished bronze and her eyes were gold in color. She had a long, lovely set of wings in blues and gold. She wore a long halter top in a deep brown that matched her tumbling hair and complemented her skin tone.
Richard, on the other hand, did not have wings and as such, wore a simple button up shirt. He was grey in color, both scales and skin, with black rings along his tail and grey horns jutting up from the top of his head out of his pitch black hair.
Naga women didn’t have mammary glands, since their diet at birth was strictly meat, transitioning to other foods as they aged, so nagas often didn’t feel the need to wear clothing. Henry didn’t typically wear clothing unless he was camming or in the shop, in which he wore a basic white t-shirt specially made with a panel in the back to accommodate his wings. Sometimes an apron, if he was feeling fancy. Otherwise, he went without clothes. Today, he went super posh with a blue t-shirt, since this was a special occasion and everything.
“Henry!” Ruth said, rushing out to meet her son. “You look so handsome!” She hugged her son tightly, their wings touching lightly. “And is this your girlfriend? She’s so lovely! Come and give me a hug, sweetie!”
You walked into her muscular arms and she gave you a warm, motherly hug that felt really nice. Since you weren’t speaking to your own family, this was a type of touch you really missed.
“It’s so nice to meet you!” You said as you stepped away. “Henry has told me all about you.”
“Likewise!” She said, cupping your face. “Gosh, he’s talked about nothing else besides you for years!”
“Honey, don’t embarrass our son,” Richard said, coming out to shake your hand. “It is lovely to meet you at last.”
“You too, sir,” You replied.
“Oh, please, call me Richard. Come in, come in, dinner is almost ready,” He said, putting a hand behind your back, stopping just short of touching you, and ushered you inside.
You could smell a savory smell that made your mouth water as soon as you came inside. You followed Richard into the kitchen, where there was a large, high bar in place of a dinner table and a single barstool.
“We actually had to buy a chair!” Ruth said. “That was exciting. We did measurements and everything.”
Her excitement made you smile wide and feel a little shy. Henry grinned down at you and took your hand, leading you forward toward the barstool. You sat down and looked around the enormous, beautiful kitchen.
“Is she here yet?” A voice from the doorway said. Henry’s sister, Rea, entered unclothed, looking much like her brother but having her mother’s coloring.
“Rea, put on a shirt! We have company!” Ruth said.
“No, really, it’s okay, I’m used to Henry not wearing clothes, so it’s totally fine.” You hopped off the chair and went over to greet her and introduced yourself.
“I’m Rea, it’s great to meet you.” She looked you up and down. “You weren’t lying, Henry, she’s as hot as you described her.”
“Hey,” Henry said warningly, coming up behind you and hugging you close to his chest. “She’s taken.”
“For now,” Rea said to her brother, smiling slyly. He growled.
“Don’t fight,” Ruth said. “Come now, dinner is ready.”
Henry helped you pop back up on the stool and the naga family simply sat back on their tails. Dinner was rare steak and garden vegetables tossed in a homemade dressing and a dry white wine.
“Are you both amphiptere?” You asked Ruth and Richard.
“Yes,” Richard said. “But it’s less likely for the males to have wings than the females. Even among our own kind, Henry is rare.”
“Aww,” You said, patting his cheek. “That doesn’t surprise me one little bit. He’s special.”
“In the head, maybe,” Rea said, shoving a large piece of steak in her mouth. Henry shot her a dry look, but his mouth was too full to retort.
“Well, I’m glad he finally found someone who understands and appreciates his value,” Ruth said. “We were beginning to think he’d never get married.”
Henry choked on his wine, spitting it across the table. His parents and sister had to shield their plates.
“Mom, we’ve only been dating for a few months, it’s too early to be talking about marriage.”
“Oh, please, it’s inevitable, you’ve been in love with her for years!”
“Yes, but she wasn’t aware of that until recently!” He responded. “This is all new for her.”
“But you love her, right?”
“Mom, for the love of God,” Henry groaned, massaging his temples. “Yes, I love her, but it’s still basically the beginning of our relationship. You’re going to scare her off.”
“Well, what do you think?” Ruth asked, turning to you. “You’d marry him, wouldn’t you?”
You opened your mouth, taken aback.“I…”
“You don’t need to answer that,” Henry said. “Mom, really, don’t make her feel uncomfortable. Neither of us are thinking about marriage right now. Can we please talk about something else?”
“Mom, really, leave Henry alone,” Rea said.
“Alright, alright, I’m just saying--”
“Honey,” Richard said stiffly. “Please.”
Ruth sniffed and sighed, but fell silent. What followed was a rather awkward dinner.
As the two of you were leaving, Ruth apologized for being so pushy, having thought about her words over the strained silence. You told her it was okay, and that you were looking forward to seeing them again.
Back on the taxi heading toward town, you started thinking about it. Did he really not think about getting married one day? You were kind of hoping that eventually you would. Not soon, but eventually.
“Don’t worry about my mom,” Henry said, taking your hand. “She has that mom habit of not knowing when to stop.”
“No, it’s totally fine, she just caught me off guard, is all,” You replied.
“You sure you’re okay?” He asked, tilting his head down a bit to look at your face. “You seem bothered by something.”
“It’s just…” You tried to think of a way to phrase it that wouldn’t spook him but failed. “No, it’s nothing really.”
“No, no,” He said, bumping your shoulder with his lightly. “Come on, I know there’s something on your mind. I’m your best friend, right? You can tell me anything.”
You sighed. “Are you really not thinking about marriage at all? I don’t mean right now or anything, but like in the future? Maybe a few years from now?”
“Well…,” He began, his brow furrowing. “I mean, yeah, of course I am. I’ve been thinking about marrying you since before we ever met. But our relationship is new and I didn’t want to put that kind of pressure on you. And we’re opening a new shop! Who knows how long it’ll be before the chaos of that subsides long enough for us to even begin to plan a wedding? It could genuinely be years.”
“So… it’s a possibility, then?”
“More than a possibility, I’d say,” He said with a gentle smile. “But we need time to feel this out. Just because we love each other is no reason to rush into something we aren’t necessarily prepared for, you know? Marriage is… a lot.”
You nodded. “Yeah. And I agree with you, but I was just worried that you weren’t even considering it.”
“Well, don’t worry. It’s definitely on my mind.”
“Good.” You laid your head on his shoulder, linking your arm with his. “Do we still have ice cream at home?”
“Nope, I ate it earlier.”
“Boo, you suck.”
He chuckled. “We’ll stop at the store on the way home. Mint chocolate chip and some cookies?”
“You know me so well.” You raise your head and puckered your lips, and he bent down to kiss you.
“I do think that before we start talking seriously about marriage or anything like that, I want to stop camming.”
“Why’s that?”
“Well, when I got into it, I never intended to be a career, it was just a side job to help me pay bills. It’s fun and I like it, but I don’t want to do it forever. There is a risk to it, and I worry that you might be affected by it, and I don’t want that.”
“Risk?”
“Yeah. In fact, I think I’m going to end the camming early this year. I’m booked through the month, but I think I’ll make a post tonight saying that I’m going offline for the season. We’re going to be run ragged getting the new place set up. Some people will be upset about it, but they can deal with it.”
“People will be mad?” You asked. The taxi stopped and he took your hand, escorting you out and down the sidewalk toward the small store near your home.
“Yeah,” He said. “A lot of people get that I have a normal life outside of my side job, but some people can be obsessive. Usually, they just wait until next season opens up and book all of my openings they can afford, but some get personal. I block the ones that are too aggressive or start trying to get too close.”
“Too close?”
“Trying to find out who I am and where I live,” He replied.
“That happens?” You asked, alarmed.
“It’s only happened twice. One of them got the hint when I got angry and I didn’t hear from them again. The second one I had to call the police on. I still have a restraining order out against her.”
“Jesus,” You responded. “I didn’t realize it was so… dangerous.”
“It usually isn’t,” He said off-handedly. “That’s the beauty of anonymity and the internet. But I am a rare breed, so it’s easy for people to match my face in real life if they really dig. I mean, you did, right? I have a VPN and pretty hardcore protections on my computer that prevent hacking it remotely, but people can be persistent.”
“That’s… scary,” You said, frowning.
“Don’t worry,” He said, flexing his arms and stomach muscles. “I can handle just about anything.”
“Just about,” You echoed under your breath, and followed him into the store.

"Smart Talk" Zach Dempsey Imagine
Requested by anon on Tumblr: "Hellooo c: could you write a fic on zach dempsey from 13 reasons why? Specifically the reader being a biology nerd and has aspirations of becoming a doctor some day, and zach being interested in her because he wants to be a marine biologist? Thanks! Love your blog btw ^^"
A/N: Heyo! I just wanted to pop in and see how y'all were doing and to say that I kind of switched it up and made the reader want to be a biochemist when she graduated so I hope you don't mind that little change! I cried writing this, so I’m sorry if you cry too

-------------
The first day of school was always filled with nerves and excitement. But I am new, and a sophomore and that didn't make this transfer any easier. I had moved away from Ohio with my mum at the beginning of the summer, my father passed away after a long and tough battle with ALS. I'm 16 now, he was diagnosed when I just about turned 10. He always wanted to live in California, it was his dream to have a beach house with just the three of us. I was always his little girl. Even when his ALS progressed, he was always working so hard to stay as long as he could. He was such a fighter. Mum and him worked hard on finding a house in California before he would pass, get to live out his dream. We had found a house, the house mum and I now live in, a year ago but had to finalise the selling of our other house before we could move. But that hope soon cam tumbling down due to my father quickly getting worse. We were so close to moving, but it got put on hold. He was deteriorating faster than ever before and it was hard to watch the fighter I once knew look so defeated. Before he lost the ability to speak he told us, "Well if Stephen Hawking can do it, so can I." He was always so strong in front of me and mum, but we knew better. Every day after school I went to my dads hospital room and told him about my day and school and do my homework with him. I came in one day, a big smile on my face as I looked him in the eye and said, "I know what I want to be when I grow up dad. I want to be a Biochemist. I want to make medicine that will help you and the others that come after you. I want to do this for you dad." He smiled as best as he could and got out a shaky, "I love you so much", and then he couldn't speak after that. As days turned to weeks, he just got worse and worse. We had the hope that he could wait until after Christmas, but there were no Christmas miracles this time. He passed away the day before Christmas eve, and I was heartbroken. My dad, my biggest supporter was now gone. Gone but never forgotten. I held his cold hand before the coroner and doctors shuffled him away from us and said through broken sobs and tear stained cheeks, "I'm going to make a medicine that cures ALS. I'm going to make it for you, daddy. I love you so much." I finished the rest of the year and we finalised the selling of our, now old, house and we made the flight to California. A few weeks in and we were finally settling and making this house our new home. I sat out on our enclosed balcony with a cup of tea and cozied up in my hammock chair. I listened to the birds chirping as I took a sip of my tea. My mum came out a few moments later with her own cup of tea and we both stared upon the city for what seemed like an eternity until I decided to break the silence, "Dad would've loved it here." "Yes he would've sweetheart. Yes he would."
Mum drove me in for the first day, mainly because she wanted to pick me up especially if I had a rough first day. We had our usual conversations and I went over my schedule out loud with her. "Honours Chemistry AND Honours Biology huh? Why didn't you get put in the AP sections of those?" Mum asked, noticeably a little insulted that I wasn't placed in the AP classes. "Relax mum, they don't allow sophomores taking AP classes, and this was the best I was getting with them. I could've gotten regular Bio and Chem." I reassured her. She reluctantly calmed down as she pulled up to a parking spot in front of the school. Mum kissed me on the cheek and said our 'I love you's' as I got out of the car and headed up to the front of the building. I tried to blend in and just seem normal. My first class was English so I immediately made my way to the classroom located in the second floor. I sat in the front row like I always had in my previous schools. The teacher went through attendance and stopped on me, "Y/N Y/L/N? Are you the new student?" The teacher asked. "Yes I am ma'am" I replied, all eyes on me. "I was wondering if you would be here today! Please come up in front of the class and introduce yourself! Say your name, where you moved from, and your favourite book." I made quickly got up and walked the short distance to be next to the teacher. "Well, I'm Y/N. I moved here from a small town in Ohio at the beginning of the summer, and my favourite book is The Theory of Everything by Famous theoretical physicist, cosmologist Stephen Hawking." I said to the class with a smile. "That's interesting Miss Y/L/N! And why is that your favourite book?" "I look up to Mr.Hawkings work and I want to be a Biochemist." "That's quite interesting. You may sit down now dear." She said with a smile as she started to clap, the rest of the class followed suit. I sat down and the girl next to me tapped my shoulder, "Nice to meet you. I'm Jessica. I think we could be great friends!" She said with a smile on her face. We talked after class and she said she would meet me after my Bio class to have lunch with me. I'm so relieved to have a friend, or someone I can consider a friend at least. It's still early to tell. Next up I had maths, and pretty much the same thing happened with going in front of the class and explaining who I was. I was pretty much creating and reading a script for the beginning of every class. After maths I had my Honours Biology class. I sat at the work bench like I normally did, as I watched all the students pour in they all looked so much older than I did. The class began at the ring of the bell and the same thing happened like all the other classes before me. I made my way up to the front of the classroom and smiled as I introduced myself, "I'm Y/N, I moved here from a small town in Ohio at the beginning of the summer and I'm a sophomore. An-" "A sophomore? I don't normally have sophomores in my class." The teacher interrupted me, and I just gave an "are you serious?" look and some of the class laughed. "Yes, the school wouldn't let me take AP Biology and AP Chemistry so I had to even fight to get honours." I replied. "AP Bio and AP Chem? What would you want with those courses? They're pretty difficult on their own, let alone together." I cleared my throat, "I want to be a Biochemist." "And where would your concentration lie?" "Degenerative diseases." "Wow that's incredible Miss Y/L/N! I look forward to seeing your work. You may sit down." I took my seat and a few of the "nerdy" kids started to chat me up and we all had a great conversation about what we wanted to do in the future. The bell rang and almost immediately Jessica was outside my classroom waiting for me. "Honours Biology? Girl, you've got to give me your study tips!" We walked to the lunchroom as she talked my ear off about the school and everything I would need to know. We sat down at a table and a boy joined us, him and Jess kissed and then a bunch of other guys started to swarm the table we were at. "Y/N this is Justin, my boyfriend! Justin this is-" "You're Y/N! We have maths together." Justin said as he stuck his hand out. Justin started to introduce me to all the boys at the table, all his teammates on the basketball team. "Y/N why did you move here all the way from uhm..." Jess started to ask. "Ohio." I replied with a chuckle. "Right! Why did you move here from Ohio?" All eyes were on me now and I smiled just thinking of the memory of my dad, "I moved here because my dads dream was to move out to California with my mum and I." "Oh that's so sweet! Why did he want to move out here?" She asked. The smile fell from my face and just the thought started to burn my eyes, "That's a bit of a touchy subject. Can we not talk about that?" "Oh my God of course! I'm sorry, I didn't know girly." She said as she shot me a reassuring smile and rubbed my knee. Eventually I went to the rest of my classes and met some really great people. I knew I had nothing to worry about, it seems like I'll fit in perfectly. The dismissal bell rang and I made my way to my locker. I got all my stuff I needed and closed my locker, Jess was standing right next to my locker with Justin. "Did you have a good first day?" She asked. "It was great, especially because of you. Thank you for like, accepting me and being nice. And thank you as well Justin." I said with a smile. "That's great! We definitely need to keep in touch, hand me your phone and I'll give you my number so we can hang out soon!" She said enthusiastically as she took my phone from me and punched her number in. Her and Justin walked off and waved and said their goodbyes and we parted ways. I made my way to mums car. I placed my backpack in the backseat and hopped into the front and we drove off. "So..?" Mum started. "It was great! I already made a bunch of friends and they're all so nice there!" "That's awesome honey! Celebratory dinner tonight? And you can tell me absolutely everything, you can even spill all the deets!" "Ew mum, don't ever say that again!" I said as I joking slapped at her arm. "What?! I have to stay hip somehow!" We both erupted into a fit of laughter. "Oh by the way, the piano got to the house and is all tuned." Mum said, almost full of sorrow. That night we went out to a fancy restaurant a few towns over and I told her everything about my day and how excited I was for school and making new friends.
A month has passed and I've settled in quite nicely in Crestmont. It was a Friday and Jess is sleeping over for the first time. We quickly became really close friends, I even would say she is my best friend. My mum picked us up from school and I showed her around my house. "This house is so beautiful Mrs.Y/L/N!" Jess said in awe. "I'm glad you like it, you're always welcome here sweetheart!" My mum replied with a smile. Jess picked up a picture of my mum, my dad, and I when I was about 11. She examined it. "Awe Y/N you look so adorable! Is this your dad?" She asked, pointing to the man in the photograph. "Yeah, but that's an older photo of him." "Do you have any more recent photos of him?" "Of course!" I said as I lead her to the living room where a lot of the newer photos of him were. She examined them quite closely, noticing his state of being deteriorating, she was confused. I brought her out on the balcony and she sat in the hammock chair right next to mine. "Where is your dad?" She asked and then looked like she wanted to take it back. I grabbed her hand and smiled, "No no, don't worry about it. It's okay to ask!" I replied with a warm smile, "He passed away right before last Christmas. He had ALS." "Y/N I'm so sorry for your loss." "Jess it's okay. He was a great guy and a great dad." "Is this why you didn't want to talk about it on the first day?" "Yeah, it's just a touchy subject especially since we planned to move out here with him." I told her the whole story, everything. I was comfortable enough around her to tell her. And she listened and took it all in. I reassured her I was as okay as I could be even though some days were better than others and she understood. We headed up the stairs toward my room when she spotted the baby grand piano at the top of our stairs. "Wow this is beautiful! Do you play?" She asked, awestruck by the beautiful Yamaha piano in front of her. "I guess. My dad was the one who played and he gave me lessons and so now when I want to feel closer to him I just play and play until I feel okay." "You're one tough cookie, could you play something for me?" I smiled and pulled out the bench and immediately started to play Op. 28: III. Vivace G Major by Chopin as it was a relatively fast lively piece. I lifted my hands from the piano and her jaw was on the ground. "Girly I didn't know this! You NEED to play in the orchestra! They would love you!" She exclaimed as she brought me in for a hug. The night was great and I finally felt normal again, I felt like a normal high schooler with a normal life. And man did it feel good to feel normal again.
Monday rolled around and Jess dragged me down to the music hall to talk with the orchestra teacher. I played the same piece I did for Jess and the teacher looked beyond impressed with my playing. "Some of the best piano playing I've seen from a student in years! I would love to have you in the orchestra Miss Y/L/N!" Jess and I walked out of the music hall and screamed and jumped and hugged. "I'm so excited for you! I'll go to all the practices and concerts I can!" Jess promised as she stuck her pinky out "And I will go to as many cheer practices and games as I can!" I replied and interlocked our pinkies as we made a pinky promise. And both of us kept our promises. As long as I didn't have to tutor someone or practice, I was in the stands supporting my best friend, even doing her hair for her. As long as she didn't have practice or homework, she was at orchestra rehearsal.
Mid-November rolled around and so did basketball and other winter sports, but that also meant mid terms were fast approaching. In biology, we were doing a partner project and our teacher chose our partner. The rest of the class groaned, but I had gotten 100's all year so I didn't see an issue with it. He read off the names in alphabetical order by last name. "Zach Dempsey and Y/N Y/L/N" My head turned to look at Zachs face to judge how he felt, and he had a smile so wide it stretched from ear to ear, which made me smile as well as blush. After partners were announced we all moved to sit next to our partners, I got up and sat next to him. "Well look who we have here, the smartest girl in this school paired up with me." He said with a slight chuckle. "I wouldn't say I'm that smart. More like, I'm just determined to do really well...all the time." I said with a chuckle. We started to plan our project and then suddenly the bell rang. I was about to get up when Zach gently grabbed my arm, "Can I have your number? So we can plan our project?" "Oh, of course. Why didn't I think of that?" I wrote my number down on the top of his project syllabus and waved goodbye as I headed to my locker. I had one more class before I met up with Jess to do her hair before her short practice so they can get ready for the game. I had a free period next so I headed down to the music hall so I could practice. I walked by the teachers office and he ushered me in to talk to me. "Y/N, how would you feel about doing 4 solos for the concert?" He asked, not looking up from the program he was trying to make. "I would love to!" "Great! I'll have you start off the very beginning of the concert with a short but fast piece, we'll have a few group pieces and other solos and then you end the first half with another short but fast piece. Does that sound good?" He asked, I nodded. "Then you can start the second half with a long and slow piece, sprinkle in a few group pieces and a few other solos, then you'll have you last piece which is pretty slow and long as well, and then finish off with our group closing piece? Sound good?" "That sounds great sir! Can I ask one thing though?" "Of course, what's on your mind?" "Could I dedicate the last piece I play to my dad and have a picture of him with me at the concert? It's okay if not, I just figured I should ask." "Of course you can. Don't be silly to ask for something like that. The counselor told me about what happened. I'm so sorry for your loss and I would be honoured to have you dedicate your last solo to your father." He reassured with a smile. I started to leave the room, "Thank you Mr.Blanc! I'll be in the auditorium in you need me." "Y/N, just make sure to get me your sheet music with the order you're performing them in as soon as possible." "You got it!" I nearly shouted as I opened the side door to the auditorium to turn on all the stage lights. I practically came down here every free period I had unless I was working on Zach and I's project. It was always so calm and quiet and made me feel like my dad was still there with me. I made my way over to stage left and pulled the piano out into the centre of the stage. I sat down and just started to play piano covers of popular songs before I started to try figure out what I was actually playing for the concert. I just wanted to calm down from my exams I had today. I decided to just wait and ask Jess which songs I should pick before the first game of the basketball season occurred tonight. I went from Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin to Flight of the Bumblebee before I noticed anyone else was in the auditorium with me. I heard a throat clear which made me jump, I looked up from the piano and it was Jess and Justin. "I didn't mean to scare ya." Jess said with a chuckle, "Justin and I were making out in the back and you couldn't see us but Justin really wanted to watch you play especially after that really fast one." Justin nodded his head in agreement. "Aww, I'm flattered!" I said with a smile. I went down my arsenal of some of the toughest songs to play on piano, Moonlight Sonata, Little Red Riding Hood, Etude Op. 10 No. 4, La Campanella, and ending with Hungarian Rhapsody. I looked at the two who tried to keep up with my hands, Jess had a smirk on her face when she saw Justin's jaw on the floor. "I told you she was good." Jess said, almost cockily. Her and I laughed and before Justin could even say a word, the dismissal bell rang. "I'll meet you in the locker room Jess, I have to put a few things away in my locker." I waved to Justin sense I wasn't going to see him until later in the afternoon. I put my stuff in the locker and shut the door and headed downstairs, I headed toward the locker rooms where Zach caught up to me. "Good luck at the game tonight!" I said with a wide smile. "Thank you! Are you going to be there?" He asked. "Of course! I promised Jess and Justin that I would always be at the games." His face lit up like a Christmas tree, "Awesome! I'll see you later then." He said as he rubbed my arm. I thought his action was strange but just chalked it up to him being friendly. California is different from Ohio after all. I entered the locker room and greeted all the other girls when I took my place next to Jess. We told each other about our days while she changed into her practice gear. I told her how I was given 4 solos for the concert and she was so excited, maybe more excited than I was. "Oh my God that's amazing! I'll invite everyone so that can see how amazing you are!" She jumped up and down as she hugged me. We chatted our way into the gym and I took my usual spot on the bleachers and watched the practice go on like usual. I finished up my homework for the night just as they had finished practicing for the game tonight. I headed out and stood by the lockers and waited for Jess. As soon as she came out she grabbed my arm and practically skipped the entire way to the auditorium. I took my seat on the piano and told her my ideas and played them in the order I would play them at the concert. She wasn't too keen on a few of my pieces so I switched them with similar pieces and those seemed to fit like a glove. "Those! All of them! They're perfect!" She said with a huge smile on her face. We headed to the library and I photocopied my pieces and labelled them and dropped them off at Mr.Blanc's office. We had some free time before she had to get ready for the game so we just walked around and chatted. "How's your bio project going?" Jess asked as we walked around the football field. "Great! Zach and I are pretty close to being done." I replied as we passed the bleachers. "Basketball Zach? Like, Zach Dempsey?" "Yeah...why?" "Oh, nothing. I just didn't expect you to pick him as a partner." "Mr. LaPierre paired us, but he looked fine with it so I didn't mind." Jess was silent for what felt like a few minutes. "Jess, is everything alright?" "Yeah, I was just thinking about the other day when Zach was talking to Justin about a girl in his biology class he was crushing on." "Awe that's cute! She's lucky, he's a smart kid." "She's probably jealous of you Y/N. I just don't want you to get hurt. Because if she hurts you, many people will hurt her." Jess winked as she nudged me. "I have a perfect grade in the class, it seemed like everyone wanted to be my partner." I winked back. "Okay smarty pants, let's get back so I can get ready and you can help me with my hair." We both giggled and walked back into the school. I grabbed a seat on the bleachers right behind where Jess normally sits. The cheerleaders started to file in along with the basketball players. I was too busy looking for her hair ties and brush in my bag to notice her and a few of the basketball players walk in. I found her brush just as she sat down in front of me. I brushed through her silky hair and parted it down the middle.I looked up to a pair of soft brown eyes staring at me, they belonged to Zach. I shot him a smile and a wave before I returned to Jess' hair. I braided her hair into two tight Dutch braids. I secured the last one and put her brush back in my bag. The bleachers were filling up pretty fast when I was done. The players were back in the locker room so they could make their entrance in front of the whole student body. The cheerleaders were just about to head onto the court when Jess turned to me and waved to my mum who appeared suddenly next to me. "Hi Mrs.Y/L/N! Glad you could come!" Jess said as she hugged my mum. "Of course sweetie! I couldn't miss out on cheering on Y/N's best friend!" My mum replied with a smile. "Knock 'em dead Tiger!" I said as I hugged her before she made her way onto the court to welcome our team onto the court. Each player erupted one by one, and suddenly Zach emerged and he searched the stands and then his eyes landed on me and he waved and smiled in my direction. I smiled and blushed back. My mum tapped my leg and I moved my ear closer to her where she whispered, "Is that him? The boy in your biology class?" I nodded to her question and blushed deeper. The game started and Zach and I would steal glances at each other every now and again, nothing to major...or so I thought.
It was now the week before the Winter Concert, but Zach and I needed to finish up the prep for our project. We were in the library alone after school working on the final prep we needed before we could call the project 'finished'. A few hours had passed and we finished up the last component, but we finished earlier than expected so we started to finalise the project. We were finally done, and we were early. That's not a bad thing though, nothing wrong with finishing early. I was putting my stuff away when Zach cleared his throat, I zipped my bag and looked at him. "What do you want to be when you graduate?" He asked. I smiled, "I want to be a biochemist." "Why?" "Do you want the real answer or the short one I use to not have serious questions?" "The real one." I took a deep breath and then exhaled, "Because of my dad." "Why don't you talk about him? You avoided it when we first met." "It's just a touchy subject, that's all." "Can we talk about it? I want to get to know you more." I was shocked at his response, but it's fair since we've worked a lot together this year. "He passed away almost a year ago. Right before Christmas, to be exact." "I-I'm so sorry Y/N." I took his hand in mine, "It's okay, we expected it. He had ALS. He was diagnosed when I just turned 10 and he's the reason I'm here. He wanted to move to California before he passed." "We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I would understand." He said as he gently swiped his thumb back and forth against the back of my hand. "Honestly, it's okay. I'm not ashamed, he was and still is my hero. He was deteriorating slowly so we thought we had time. We bought the house and just had to wait on our other house to sell so we could move. But about Septemberish of last year he went downhill quite fast. So, plans got pushed back as he got treatment. He was always so strong, as supported me even when he didn't want to admit that he couldn't really support himself. Some of the last words he said were "If Stephen Hawking can do it, so can I." which is also why I lookup to Dr.Hawking so much. I want to be a biochemist because of him, for him. I want to find the cure to ALS." Zach was staring in awe. I stood up and he stood up and pulled me into a bear hug. A hug of solidarity, a hug of understanding. We both pulled away and looked into each others eyes and smiled. He looked away and grabbed his things. "I'll drive you home." He said as he motioned for me to follow him. "Oh, you don't have to." "I know, but I want to." We made it to his car and he pulled out of the parking lot and opened up to me. "I want to be a marine biologist." He said. We talked about his aspirations and life on the way to my house. He parked outside and I hugged him. "Thank you. It's great seeing others be themselves too." I said as I pulled away. His arm moved behind me and rubbed my back and he started to lean in and so I leaned in as well but we were interrupted by my mum yelling my name. We both laughed and I got out of the car and waved goodbye and headed into my house. I watched as he drove away.
The day of the concert arrived, and the whole school day was just a blur. The dismissal bell and I headed to my locker where I was greeted by Jess. "What's the plan for today?" She asked with a huge smile. "Well, the group pieces are going to get a run through, then the solos, and then we get to get ready." I replied grabbing my music bag out of my locker and we headed to the auditorium which was pretty much already set up for the concert tonight. Jess sat front row. The group numbers were rehearsed, then solos, and then I had to get ready. Jess and I headed to the locker room. I changed into a long sleeved black maxi dress with my mums pearl necklace. I put my hair half-up half-down and Jess straightened my hair and chatted me up. "There's going to be a big surprise for you at the concert. All because of moi" She said as she smiled. "Should I thank you now or later?" I asked. "Def later." She said as she scrunched her nose and raspberried me. We laughed and chatted until she finished my hair and I finished my light makeup. I put my stuff away in my bag and we both walked over to the auditorium. People we already shuffling into the auditorium. I took out the framed picture of my dad before I let Jess go off and I get ready backstage. "He would be so proud of you." "You think so?" "I KNOW so. Break a leg out there." Jess said as she hugged me and we went out separate ways.
*THIRD PERSON* Jess waited until she saw Mrs. Y/L/N. She rushed over and hugged her. "I have a plan." Jess began to tell Mrs. Y/L/N her whole plan. Jess bought a bunch of flowers so everyone could give her something in support. She explained how she got all of the cheerleaders and basketball to come and support her. Mrs. Y/L/N was almost brought to tears, not truly grasping how quickly and wholeheartedly her daughter was loved at this school. Jess and Y/N's mother sat in the front row by the piano on stage left. Jess looked back every now and again to check to see if her plan would be followed through. And just like that, the cheerleaders and basketball players shuffled in and sat in the first three rows by the piano. Zach sat next to Jess. "Mrs. Y/L/N, this is Zach." Y/N's mum reached out her hand, "Are you her biology partner? She always talks about you. She really likes you, ya know?" Jess chuckled and placed the palm of her hand over her mouth while Zach blushed, the whole team started to be all "Bro we told you she liked you back. You have nothing to worry about." In between laughs Jess responded, "I don't think she wanted you to tell him that Mrs. Y/L/N." "Oop, you're probably right sweetie. I'm sorry to embarrass you Zach. I got really excited when she told me she likes you." "No no, it's okay Mrs. Y/L/N. I'm flattered because I really like here too." A few more minutes passed and it was time for the concert to start. *END THIRD PERSON*
The concert was about to start and I just held the picture of my dad closer. My teacher and conductor was doing his introductory statement before we all came out of the wing of stage right and into our places. I walked across the stage and spotted...all of them. Mum, Jess, Zach, everyone I grew closer with this past semester. A smile drew across my face as I saw my mum first, almost in tears already, and then to Jess, and then to Zach who shot me a wink and my heart could've fluttered out of my chest. I placed the photo of my dad on the piano at an angle so both me and the audience could see it. I heard my mum gasp and then cry a little at the picture, which made me tear up a little. We did the classic orchestral warm up before I spoke into the microphone right in front of the piano. "My first solo piece is Op. 28: XII. Presto in G Sharp Major composed by Frederic Chopin." I took my place at the piano and played the one minute long piece. I took my hands off the piano and bowed in my seat. We had a few classical group pieces followed by a few solos and then a few pop songs arranged for the orchestra like Without You and Fight Song/Amazing Grace and Tour De France. I was the last solo for the first part of the concert, I once again stepped in front of the microphone to announce my solo, "My second solo piece is Op. 28: XVI. Presto con fuoco in B flat minor also composed by Frederic Chopin." I took my place at the piano for a second time and played the other one minute long piece. I took my hands off the piano and we all stood up and bowed and walked off as it was announced that there was a 15 minute break. I took the opportunity to use the bathroom and relax a little. My fellow peers were complimenting me left and right and I did the same back. The 15 minutes were almost up and we took our seats once again. Once I got my cue, I went up to the microphone and announced my third piece, "My third solo piece is Op. 28: IV. Largo in E minor also composed by Frederic Chopin." I once again took my place at the piano and played the two minute long sorrowful piece. I played with much more emotion than I did in the first half of the concert. I took my hands off the piano and bowed in my seat. More group pieces and solos and finally it was my last solo and my longest. I walked up and grabbed the picture of my dad, "Before I announce my final solo piece, I want to take the time and dedicate this to my dad. I lost my dad almost a year ago to ALS or Lou Gherig's as most of you may know it as. He was a wonderful pianist and he's the one who taught me how to play. Not a day goes without me thinking about him or playing a song to remember him. I came rushing into his hospital room one day just ecstatic and I told him, "I want to be a biochemist when I grow up. I want to help people like you." And the day he passed away, I held his hand and promised I would be the one to discover the cure for ALS. And I intend on keeping that promise. My final solo piece was his favourite to play for my mum and I, Op. 28: XV. Sostenuto in D flat major." I placed his picture back on the piano, but fully facing me this time. I wiped the few tears I had running down my cheeks already from before as I looked over and saw her sobbing into Jess who also tearing up along with Zach and everyone else. I looked up at my teacher and peers who were all wiping tears away. He motioned for them to stand and the audience soon followed. I played with more emotion and drive than I knew I even had. I played the piece with passion. I made it about 2 minutes in before the tears started to roll down my face as I played with pure love and passion. I hit the last chord lighter than I thought was even possible. I sat for a few seconds to just absorb the moment. I stood up to bow and noticed I had a standing ovation. I shed a few tears before we all sat down and played our final piece. The concert was over and we all bowed and hugged each other. I grabbed my dads picture and whispered, "I did it daddy, for you." before I went to get my bags and head to my mum, I left the music hall and found Jess who ran to me with flowers. "I knew you were going to be amazing!" She lead me to the people I have grown close to and they all had flowers for me. "Here's your surprise! I told you they all had to hear how amazing you are!" They all were giving me a flower or two and telling me how amazing I was, but then there was my mum who still had tears streaming down her face. We hugged in silence for what seemed like an eternity. Jess took my bags off me and grabbed the flowers so I could hug my mum even closer. We let go and all that was left was Zach who held a huge bouquet in his arms. He gave them to me and I thanked him. He was in awe. I let out a giggle as I gave Jess the bouquet and wrapped my arms around his neck and his hands went around my waist. "Wow, that was just- wow." He barely even got that out of his mouth, he started to lean down but I told him to hold on. I looked over at my mum, "Mum are you going to interrupt this kiss?" "No, not this time sweetheart." I looked toward Zach who had a huge smile on his face, I returned the smile, "Alright, it's go big or go home." Zach, almost like he had rehearsed this very moment, held me tighter and dipped me and kissed me. Our lips crashed and the world felt still, it was just us in that moment. Just us, in love.

Another Story
As I am writing this, I have Life Goes On in the background. You may have heard about the latest single of BTS even if you did not want to. That’s how, I guess, unstoppable the boys are.
Unstoppable, indeed, because look at where I am now – enjoying every second spent in the rabbit hole. Isn’t this the best place on earth? I would say so. It’s nothing like being trapped in a labyrinth as this has been my escape room; my safe chamber where I have found sanity for the last three months despite the unfortunate circumstances.
Writing a blog is probably way too much, but I must find a way to let my emotions out of my system. I know I just have to, and I want to talk about the group that gave me the very reason to go on, to be more accepting of myself, and to be just the person I am. The group that swiftly turned my mundane life in full 360. No other than, BTS.
They’ve been dominating the world for 7 years, but never did I bat an eye until they gave me a taste of my own medicine after watching their VMA performance of Dynamite. If this is how good karma could get, then I am all for it and I would even volunteer as tribute.
As days passed, the curiosity and interest started to pique after checking random recommended videos on Youtube without me realizing that I was (I can’t say gradually) being dragged by the inevitable force the rabbit hole has. In a matter of days, I became a fan and there’s no asking why because I clearly know the reason. The boys’ genuine spirit has captured my very own life-force and has tamed my restless mind.
They are the only global stars whom I can relate and connect with regardless of the differences because they keep their feet on the ground. We all know that fame requires a great deal of strength for an artist to not grow into another individual s/he wouldn’t even recognize. They are just who they simply are.
They are the monsters we see on stage, but I admire how naturally goofy and dorky they are off cam that filming them 24/7 wouldn’t even matter because what see is what we get. It is incredibly empowering how they can sustain their positivity despite living in a high-pressured environment. Their selfless effort to remain blissful to keep their fans happy is through the roof. Undoubtedly, the boys are bulletproof.
It’s also no news to us that they almost have everything and they can buy anything with a snap of a finger, but it is moving how they remain appreciative of the little things – that they’d choose to have gummy bears over fancy candies; that they’d choose to eat meat over skipping meals and how unafraid they are to show the entire world their idiosyncrasies most likely millions can relate to. They are shouting and screaming loud that they are normal human beings to the point we feel they believe they don’t deserve all the recognition they are getting. For them, they are these seven human beings who sing and dance although it’s no surprise it’s in their DNA to be great at what they do. And for us, fans, this is what sets them apart.
As I near the bottom of my page, I want to take this time and mention that their professionalism unquestionably speaks volumes. Going back to the time I saw Dynamite, I can’t deny how complex the steps were and I know for certain that these were not easy to learn, but they were able to deliver like one person was multiplied into seven! Just thinking about what they have to go through so they can give their fans the performance they want to see makes me shake my head and back down already. It is impressive that all seven of them have been in the industry for seven straight years of blood, sweat, and tears.
Now that we are in the Life Goes On era, the boys have shown evidence of how hardworking they are based on what they have included in the album, and every artist who plans on going back should learn from them. That this is how a major comeback is done. It’s ironic how they pulled off another record that doesn’t seem hurriedly done considering that their last release was made a few months back. There is no question that all of them poured their hearts out in writing every word of the songs in BE. They are the perfect epitome of loving their craft a thousand-fold and that for them, there is no in between. They have their own way of saying thank you for all the love that they receive because for them, they are not seven without their ARMYs.
Speaking of ARMYs, I am one of the millions thankful for the existence of the group. They have become a massive inspiration to take off the blanket and get out of bed each morning; they have been a constant reminder that the world has tons of setback to offer, but life goes on. They have been the voice in my head whispering that it is never wrong to believe in myself when I start to question my purpose; that the road to where I want to be is a long journey, but with burning passion and desire, it’s not impossible to make my dreams a reality.
They have helped me understand the intricate map of my soul; they have awakened the wings that have long been broken; and they have let me experience the epiphany of unravelling the true worth of myself – that I can be where and who I want to BE.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In your magic shop, you are your own idol; you are your own Anpanman. There’s no one else to make it right; there’s no one else to save you and save me.
If you feel you are ready to let go, wait for crystal snow; wait for spring day – the day we’d feel euphoria and be over the moon -- and let the mic drop.
Life sometimes becomes blue & grey, but life goes on. We are here to stay.
Keep burning up! Like a dynamite!

Today’s Event
I just got some plot ideas from watching You Can’t Ask That.
At which point I felt like maybe I should feel bad for that, or that it somehow justifies my view of myself as being amoral despite all the genuine morals I have.
*shrugs* Just one of those days I guess.
I’m probably going to get more plot ideas as I study for my Personality Psychology exam ^^;
Maybe I just didn’t write enough to be satisfied. I was two and a bit weeks late with my latest update.
I might write Chapter 10 tomorrow and update. (Something to do while on study breaks)
#It is 5am where I am right now#Which is Australia#I am tired#I cannot promise that I will write it#I want to#But that may be fanciful dreaming Cam talking#And dreaming me isn't the most logical#I'm going to bed#Soz not soz#for all the random posts#I am just talking to myself in a public fashion#Oh no#I'm showcasing my crazy#sleep#sleep is good

Danganronpa: Away Chapter 3: Only Human (Part 1)
Computer Lab: The Night After the Second Class Trial
“Why does it say ‘Phase 2’?” Asked Tammy
“How am I supposed to know?” asked Monobird. “I don’t work with him.”
“I mean, I guess not” said Tammy. “Ugh.”
“It’s OK,” said Monobird. “We have Cassy and Justin. Maybe they can figure it out.”
“Yeah, but who knows how many of us will still be alive by the time that happens,” said Tammy.
“...I know it’s scary” said Monobird.
“That’ a generous way of putting it,” said Tammy.
“But we have to hold out hope that things will get better” said Monobird.
“But will things be ‘good’ ever again?” asked Tammy.
Monobird looked at her. “...that is something you have to figure out on your own.”
Tammy yawned. “I should probably go to bed.”
“Good idea” said Monobird. Tammy left. “Of course. She’s still a child. They all are. And four of them are dead already.”
Zooming in on Monobird’s eye, the scene changes to a monitor in a dimly lit room where a police officer is staring into it. He then says “...I’m probably not the first one to say this, but if I ever meet The Ultimate Killer, I’m going to make him pay.”
Meanwhile, out in the hall, Tammy yawns again. “I should have gone to bed sooner. Oh hey, there’s Justin. Why is he heading downstairs? Oh well.” Tammy went back to her room.
Earlier, in Justin’s room:
That night, I had the courtroom dream again. The smiling dream. The smile was as creepy as ever. However, I saw a table. On the table was some peculiar things. There was some broken glass, a pair of wire cutters, a pair of gloves, and a bloody knife. Again I protest in vain that I shouldn’t leave. I am being taken away anyway. I am pointing. Am I pointing at the table?
“AH!” I wake in a sweat. “Is this going to happen every time something terrible happens?” I say. I try going back to sleep, but I can’t. “Well, it worked last time,” I said. I got out of bed and I made my way to the art room. I got out some clay and made two figures, one for Troy and one for Rachel. I then went back up to my room and slept.
I wasn’t woken to the sound of Monokuma’s announcement playing, but a voice screaming in the halls. “EMERGENCY! EMERGENCY!”
Without thinking, I get up, put some pants on, and walked out to see Cassy in a panic. “What’s the matter?” I asked.
Cassy said “Well, first off, Justin isn…” Cassy stopped, as her face turned red. “Why are you here?”
“Because it’s where I sleep?” I said.
“But why aren’t you in the art room?!” she snapped back.
“I guess I had the energy to make it back” I said. “I only made two statues this time.”
“Oh… Well, there’s still the matter of Sophie.”
I was now worried “What happened?”
“She’s not in her room!”
“Well, let’s see if we can’t find her” I said.
“I already found her” said Annabelle.
“Huh?” said Cassy.
“She’s in Rachel’s room,” she said. “Sleeping like an angel.”
“Oh…” Cassy’s face grew even more red.
“I guess that makes sense,” I said. I looked at the clock and saw it was around 6 am. “How are you people awake?”
“I’m usually up early to get a head start on the day’s news” said Annabelle.
“And I like to wake up this early just because” said Cassy.
“Well, you do you, I guess” I said. “But since there’s no emergency, I’m going back to sleep.” I returned to my room and passed out.
I woke up to the morning announcement. “Ugh, I’m going to be so tired today.” I got out of bed and got ready for going out. I made my way to the dining area. Everyone was silent. What happened yesterday was horrific to say the least, so I wasn’t surprised.
What I was surprised with was who broke the silence. “So, um, do we have any ideas on how to get out?” Sophie asked. We all looked at her. “It’s just, we kind of discuss these things…”
“No, she’s right,” said Duke. “We can’t keep feeling so down that we don’t find a way out. So let’s spitball here. I’m thinking of making a chemical compound that we serve to Monokuma. It will short circuit him, and hopefully the whole system where we could just walk out.”
“Well, he’s not going to accept it now, dumbass” said Buck.
“Oh, yeah, that’s a good point,” said Duke.
“Do you think that dowsing Monokuma counts as attacking him?” asked May.
“Well, if it is, then let me do it,” said Jay. “I may have the best chance of being gunned down by those security cams. Besides, since I’ve lost Troy already, I’ve got nothing left to lose.”
Right, Jay is also hurting as well.
“Do you idiots actually think that would work?” said Monokuma, popping up again.
“Oh, what do you want?” asked Andy.
“Wow. Blunt” said Monokuma.
“Well, I’m sorry I don’t have candor when talking to a psychopath who has killed four of my friends in the past week,” said Andy.
Wow, he's not taking any shit.
“Technically, I’ve only killed two of them,” said Monokuma.
“No, you killed four” said Andy. “I don’t care if someone else killed Maria, or Troy, you are the reason they are dead.”
“Am I?” asked Monokuma. “I just laid the groundwork. You all said you wouldn't do it. And yet two of you did do it. Maybe because you freaks are selfish, greedy monsters who care only about themselves.”
“Well, if we’re going to start insulting each other like children,” said May, “I’m rubber, you’re glue. Everything you say bounces off of me, and sticks to you.”
“Cute” said Monokuma.
Freaks? That’s new.
“Why are you here?” asked Cassy.
“Ah yes” said Monokuma. “I have finally finished reservations on the first floor. I would like you to come and see what is in store for you. Your killing possibilities will go way up.”
We all walked out to the first floor wall. “Are you ready?” Monokuma asked. He put a key in the lock and unveiled what remains of the first floor.
“Wow” I said.
“Thank you,” said Monokuma. “Finally, someone appreciates my work.”
“Are you telling me you built all this?” I asked. “We you the Ultimate Architect and you hated it?”
“What, NO!” aid Monokuma. “I renovated this place.”
“Yeah, but you didn’t build it.” I said.
“IT STILL COUNTS!” screamed Monokuma.
“Whatever” I said. “Let’s just look around.”
There were a few new rooms to explore. I began with the big room on the left. It was a science room. In there I saw Duke pouting. “If only this room was open last time…” he said. “Troy might still be alive.”
“Um, are you OK?” I asked.
“GAH!” said Duke. “Don’t sneak up on me like that.”
“I was in front of you the whole time…” I said.
“Well, I didn’t see you” said Duke. “Although I was lost in thought. Whatever. What do you want?”
“Well, what do you make of this room?” I asked.
“What do I think? It’s a science room. It’s glorious” said Duke. “Man, if this room was available earlier, my plan of drugging someone with a chemical that gives the illusion of death and then leave.”
“Oh...”
“Do you think he did this on purpose?” Duke asked.
“Well, if I’m being honest, no” said Monokuma, showing up again. “Although, I’m glad it worked out that way. Otherwise my plan would stop working.”
“You know, for someone who fancies themselves as ‘The Ultimate Killer’, relying on luck doesn’t seem to suggest that you are the best at killing” said Duke.
“Well, remember, he wasn’t actually ‘The Ultimate Killer’,” I said, “he was something else that he hated so much that he resorted to killing.”
“Maybe he should have stuck to that and not half ass this whole killing thing” said Duke.
“You know I can hear you” said Monokuma.
“Whether or not you are actually here, you can hear us,” I said. “It still doesn’t change the fact that this part of your plan was half baked.”
“Well, I’m still a successful killer, aren’t I?” said Monokuma. “I planned everything methodically.”
“Not so methodically that the police interrupted your plan by bringing us here instead of going to actual Hope’s Peak” said Duke.
“Yeah, which you yourself alerted the police that you were doing this,” I reminded him.
“Well, I’m still getting results” said Monokuma. “And RESULTS are all that matter to you Ultimates, now aren’t they?”
I interjected “Actually, my grandpa always said ‘a true Ultimate is not measured by results, but by action.’”
“Yeah, well he’s DEAD!” screamed Monokuma and he pounded his fist on one of the tables, collapsing it. There was a hum coming from Monokuma and then his head popped up. “Oh, I’m sorry, I'm not always in control of my actions,” he said.
He started to fix the table he just destroyed. “What do you mean by that?” I asked.
“Oh…um...well…” said Monokuma. “Fine. I was told not to tell you this, but sometimes the Ultimate Killer controls me. However, I have an override feature when things get too heated.”
“Like, he talks for you?” asked Duke.
“Talks, moves, everything” said Monokuma. “Although, 95% of the time, it’s lovable old me in here.”
“You’re not much better” I said.
“Aww, why do you say that?” said Monokuma.
“Cause you still want us dead” I answered.
“Oh, yeah. That thing” Monokuma said. “Well, like I said, I’m a tool. In use by the Ultimate Killer. I don’t really have control over that.”
“So, you're saying that if we met in different circumstances, we could be friends?” asked Duke.
“Well, no, I was built to kill” replied Monokuma. “Unless you’d be fine with me killing other people.” We both stared at him not amused. “OK, fine, I get it. You guys don’t like killing. Anyway, your stupid table is fixed.”
“Is the Ultimate Killer going to be mad that you told us this?” I asked.
“Eh, he’s told you more revealing stuff” said Monokuma. “What’s the worst that could happen? Anyway, seeya.” He left.
“Well...that was something” said Duke. “I think I’ll take a look around here some more. You know, see what I can gather from this.”
“OK then” I said. I looked around and saw that Tammy was also in here. “Oh, uh hi” I said, nervously. “You saw that, right?” She nodded. “Um, are you alright?”
“Um...maybe…”
Translation: No. “Um, do you have anything you want to say?” I asked in a calming voice.
“Well...I do, but I also want to share it with Cassy. Can you bring her back here so we can talk?”
“Sure” I said. I left to see where everyone else was. I entered the room across the hall. I was surprised to see it was essentially a weapons room. “It’s just one surprised after another.”
“Oh, hey Justin” said Pierce. “You don’t look great.”
“Yeah, I didn’t sleep well, and Monokuma just exploded on me” I said.
“Oh? What happened?” Pierce asked.
“Well, he showed up while Duke and I were talking. So, we decided to get under his skin” I began.
“Like you do.”
“So, we may have pushed him a bit too far and he smashed a table.”
“Oh, that’s...not great.”
“Yeah, but then he told us that the Ultimate Killer himself was controlling him at the time.”
“So, the Ultimate Killer can control Monokuma sometimes then, eh?” said Pierce.
“Apparently” I said. “So, what did you find out about this room? Why is there an armory in here?”
“We’re not sure” said Jay.
“We think this was an indoor target range, but there appears to be no targets” said Andy.
“...Were you two in here this whole time?” I asked.
“Yeah” said Jay.
“...Man, I’m tired” I said.
“So, former target practice area then?” Pierce asked.
“Well, based on all of this room back here with nothing in it” said Andy.
“And the fact that all of these weapons can be fired or thrown” said Jay. “Like guns, arrows, spears, axes, they even have slingshots.”
“And I assume that all of these weapons were provided by the Ultimate Killer themselves” I said.
“Probably” said Andy.
“Great, just what we need: MORE tools to kill each other with” I said.
“Exactly” said Monokuma, popping up again. “Oh, you were being sarcastic.”
“Of course I was” I said.
“So, who’s in there now?” asked Pierce.
“Why, it’s ME! Monokuma” said Monokuma. “The Ultimate Killer will continue to be locked out of direct control for another 47 minutes.”
“I see,” said Pierce.
“Can you just go now?” I asked. “I’m too tired for this.”
“Sure, but how did you expect school would go?” asked Monokuma. “You gotta wake up early.”
“That fact that you treat this like school still amazes me,” I said.
“Yeah, but you’d still have to wake up early even if we were going to actual school” said Jay.
“Hope’s Peak is open ended” I told him. “I wouldn’t have to wake up before noon.”
“Yeah, it isn’t” said Andy.
“How would you know?” I asked.
“Because I’m the Ultimate Trivia Master” said Andy. “I look these things up all the time.”
“...Motherfucker” I said, under my breath.
“Well, anyway, it seems like I’m not needed here anymore” said Monokuma.
“You’re ever needed” said Jay.
“Toodleoo” Monokuma said, disappearing again.
“I swear, every time I think ‘this isn't too bad’, he shows up,” I said.
Pierce said “I would say ‘it could always be worse’, but I don’t think it can get much worse at this point.”
“Well, assuming we can get out at this point, losing only a quarter of the people we came in with wouldn’t be the WORST hostage situation” said Andy.
“It’s still not great,” said Jay.
“I know” said Andy.
I left to see what was down the hall. The hall was filled with a bunch of loose stuff that assume would go to the gym. “Why is all of this here?” I asked myself.
“To explain” said Monokuma, showing up again.
“GAH!” I said.
“You see, not everything we wanted to bring for the gym could fit reasonably in the storage room of the gym” Monokuma explained. “We have a tendency to overpack, you see. So, we just left it in this hall. It’s close enough to other exercise equipment anyway, so we figured ‘what the heck?’”
“Please stop saying ‘we’” I said. “I get that you want to distinguish yourself from the Ultimate Killer, but it’s kind of creeping me out.”
“Yeah, I see your point” said Monokuma. “Besides, that sounds like something some other villain would do. I need to be original.”
“You know what would be original for a villain? Letting us go” I said.
“Are you kidding?” said Monokuma. “The face-turn is done by plenty of villains.”
“Yeah, but all of those villains were sympathetic” I told him. “You’d still retain your whole unlikable charm while doing the right thing.”
“Hmmmm. As tempting as that sounds, I find it more fun to just watch you all die one by one” said Monokuma.
“Well, I tried” I said.
“And an Ultimate is measured by their actions” said Monokuma. “That’s what you said, right?”
“...Yeah, but how did you know?” I asked.
“Just because I’m not in control, doesn’t mean I can’t hear” said Monokuma.
“Duly noted” I said. Monokuma left.
I went to the end of the hall and I found two rooms. One labeled “Girl’s Locker Room” and one labeled “Boy’s Locker Room.” I went in the Boy’s locker room and had a look around. I saw that each of us had a locker designated to us. I opened mine up to find a swimsuit. Not just any swimsuit though; My favorite swimsuit. Red with a black stripe on each side. “OK, THAT’S creepy.” I saw a sign that said “No casual clothes or Monopads in the pool area. Also, everyone has to shower before entering the pool area.”
“Guess I have no choice,” I said. I put them on and continued. I found the showers and used them. I went further and there was a door. I opened it and I found the pool area. “”Bout time you showed up,” said Buck. It was weird to see him without his sunglasses. His swim trunks were green with outlines of basketballs on them “I was worried you’d never show up.”
“Why did I need to show up?” I asked.
“We need a ref” he told me. “And you’re it.”
“Ref? For what?” I asked.
“Water basketball” Buck said, like that was totally a normal thing.
“Water basketball?” I said.
“Look, I know it’s odd, but it’s fun,” said Buck. “And I knew you’d stop by eventually, and I don’t want you to be sore in the morning, so I volunteered you to be the ref.”
“Umm, thanks?” I said.
“Great” said Buck. “Follow me.” I followed him to one of the pools. It was then I noticed how large the pool area was. There were two water slides, a lap pool with 12 lanes, a hot tube, a sauna, and like three other pools. It could be so easy to get lost in here. “Hey, he’s here.”
“Great!” said May. “Let’s get started.”
I only saw May, whose swimsuit was a red and orange two-piece, where the top looked like a sports bra and the bottom was shorts, Annabelle, whose swimsuit was an aquamarine one-piece, and Elliot, whose swimsuit was a pure white two-piece. “Where are Sophie and Cassy?” I asked.
“Sophie is in the sauna” said Annabelle. “As for Cassy, well…”
“She’s investigating the area, so she couldn’t be our ref” said Elliot.
“I see…” I said. I might as well see what this is about. If Cassy finds anything she’ll tell us. “Well, OK then, let’s get started. What are the rules?”
“Just like regular basketball, but in the water, so we don’t need to worry about dribbling” said Buck. “Also, I added some house rules.”
“Why’s that?” I asked.
“Because Buck here is the only one who’s played water basketball,” said May. “He has an unfair advantage.”
“That, and it’s just the four of us playing” said Elliot.
“So, I’m on Buck’s team to even things out,” said Annabelle. “I’m not that athletic, but I can do some things.”
“Basically, the two rules in play is that the ball has to at least be passed once, and a team can’t score over 10 points without both players at least scoring once” said Buck.
“OK. Sounds fair enough” I said. “And how long are we playing?”
“I was thinking just 30 minutes,” said Buck.
“Seems reasonable” I said. “OK, then, let’s begin!”
They got into position. I started the clock and they went for it. Water basketball is actually really engaging. The water adds some depth that wasn’t there before. It looks so stylish. Of course, Buck was styling all over the place and getting points left and right. But the rules were helpful. May and Elliot managed to score a fair amount of point. And even Annabelle scored some points. It was really charming. However, due to the nature of these things, Buck and Annabelle won.
“And that’s game,” said Buck. “56 to 50.”
“Hm” said Elliot. “Good game, but still.”
“Yeah, THAT WAS AWESOME!” said May.
“I’m just impressed with how well I did” said Annabelle. “I’m going to see what else is here.”
“Yeah, I’ll come with you,” said Elliot.
“Well, I’m probably going to do some laps in the lap pool,” said May.
“Want to compete?” asked Buck.
“Not really” said May. “I just want to see if I can beat my personal record.”
“Fair enough. I’ll just hang out here then” said Buck.
“I should go too,” I said. “I need to find Cassy.”
“I bet you do” Buck said, suggestively.
“Seriously, why do people think we should go out?” I asked.
“Because you should” said Buck.
“Whatever” I is said. I left and decided to check on Sophie in the sauna to see how she was holding up. However, it seems I wasn’t the only one to think that, because as I went in there, not only did I find Sophie, who was wearing a green two-piece with olive green accents, I also found Cassy, who was wearing a dark purple to-piece swimsuit with a pink frilly skirt-thing on the bottom half. “Oh. Hi” I said.
“Oh hey Justin” said Sophie. “What’s up?”
“Well, I just wanted to check on you quick” I said. “You know...since yesterday…”
“Right…” said Sophie. “Well, I’ve just been thinking in here. About Rachel. And Troy. And Roman. And Maria. And I realized that what I did was wrong. Me just giving up like that some that everyone else could be safe. The Ultimate Killer has taken away so many people. Now that I see that I don’t want to be just another person he takes away, and cause harm to anyone else. I want to fight him. I want to beat him.”
She’s gone through so much, and yet on the other side she’s still standing. Rachel, if you could see this, you would be proud.
“Well, I should go, my time’s almost up,” said Sophie.
“What?” I said.
“She means in the sauna” said Cassy. “Look.” She pointed to a sign that said “CAUTION: Please do not spend more than 1 hour in the sauna.”
“I see,” I said.
“Well, see you later” said Sophie.
She left and it was just me and Cassy. “Sooooooooooo, what’s up” said Cassy.
“Well, actually, Tammy has something she needs to tell us,” I said. “But she won’t talk to me without you.”
“Why not?” asked Cassy.
“She seemed scared” I said. I explained what happened with Monokuma.
“Oh,” said Cassy. “OK then. Let’s go.” We left the sauna and went back to our respective changing rooms and met each other outside the pool area and headed towards the science room.
We met Tammy, who asked us “Why do you smell like chlorine?”
“Well, we just got out of the pool,” I said.
“There’s a pool?!” Tammy asked, excitedly.
“Tammy, what is it that you wanted to tell us?” asked Cassy.
“Oh, right. I’ll worry about the pool later” said Tammy. “Anyway, last night, after the trial, I decided to look into what Monokuma told us about those devices that would make us forget things. I looked into some of the protected file and I managed to find the device he was talking about.”
“But he never got a chance to use it,” said Cassy.
“Well, I just wanted to see what he was planning” said Tammy. “Plus it might give me insight on how some of the Ultimate Killer’s tech works so I could figure things out faster. But before I got a chance, I saw something.”
“Saw what?” I asked.
Tammy fidgeted nervously. “Well, the blueprint was labeled ‘Phase 2’” she told us.
“Wait, what does that mean?” said Cassy.
“I don’t know” Tammy said. “But maybe the Ultimate Killer already did something to us.”
“But how?” I said. “We got moved before we could enter the school.”
“Hmmmm. It's worth thinking about” said Cassy. “Thank you for finding this. Now, if you don’t mind me asking, why did you want both of us?” Cassy asked.
“Oh, um, ya see” stammered Tammy. “Ho boy, this is awkward.”
“What?” I asked.
“So, you know how my dad was arrested?” said Tammy.
“Yeah” I said.
“Well, soon after my mother became distant. She was there, but she wasn’t really there” Tammy continued.
“Go on” said Cassy.
“So, for the first time in a long time,” said Tammy, “I feel like I have parents in the two of you.”
Both mine and Cassy’s face turned beet red. “Oh,” I said.
“I know it’s stupid,” said Tammy, “but that’s just how I feel.”
“It’s OK to feel like that” said Cassy. “It’s important for people to have someone to depend on. I’m glad you can trust us.”
“Really? Thank you!” Tammy said, giving Cassy a hug. After a second of shock, Cassy hugged back. They broke the hug and Tammy said “Well, I’m going to go swimming now.” She left.
“So, what do you make of that? I asked.
“I genuinely think it’s sweet” said Cassy.
“Wha? No. About the whole memory wipe device being a ‘Phase 2’” I said.
“Oh. That” said Cassy. “Well, I might have something. But I don’t know for sure.”
“Really, what is it?” I asked.
Cassy looked at me. She told me “I’m very unconfident in this evidence as of right now. I don’t even know if it means anything yet. I’d like to wait and figure it out some more. ...If that’s alright with you.”
I sighed. “I guess do what you think is best” I told her. “But just know that two minds are better than one, and we are on a timer here. I know speed isn’t your strong suit, but the sooner the better.”
“I get you,” said Cassy. “It’s not a matter of if Monokuma gives us another motive, but when. Still though, I don’t know what to make of this evidence yet. It could be nothing even. I’d rather have you focusing on what we know for sure than something that could be nothing.”
“Understandable” I said. We just kind of hung around until dinner time. Afterwards we all met up to eat. Cassy and I explained everything we learned that day to everyone.
“Oh MAN!” said May. “That’s some heavy stuff.”
“Yeah. It’s weird enough that he’d try to wipe our memories,” said Jay, “but to know he might have done something else on top of that? That’s disturbing.”
“I agree, that shit’s wack” said Buck.
“Wait a tick, I just thought of something” said Annabelle. “If he had this all planned out, is it possible that he planned out the motives as well?”
“Well, it seems possible, yes,” said Cassy.
“So, couldn’t Tammy also find those motive plans?” Annabelle asked. “So that we can properly defend against them.”
“Unfortunately, it doesn’t work like that” said Monokua popping out again. “The Ultimate Killer may have planned a lot, but the motives are provided by yours truly. And as such, there are no records of them, until I think of them and announce them to you.”
“So, YOU think up these motives?” I asked.
“Yes” said Monokuma.
“Do you run them by the Ultimate Killer before telling us?” I asked.
“Of course” said Monokuma. “And he OKs them all before I tell you.”
“And what if you don’t agree on the fundamental idea of a motive?” I asked.
“Just what are you getting at?” Monokuma asked, annoyed.
“Well, I just think that maybe the last motive wasn’t as pure as it was intended” I insinuated.
“Wait, what do you mean?” asked Andy.
“Yeah, what do you mean?” Monokuma said, intimidatingly.
“Well, it’s just that the night of Troy’s death, I saw someone among the police who was dressed in black from head to toe” I clarified.
“Did they have guns hidden under their petticoat?” May asked.
“I think that that was the Ultimate Killer” I said. “And he was going to kill whoever walked out into police protection.”
“Oh my,” said Monokuma. “That’s a charged accusation. Do you have any proof to back this up?”
“Well, ya see,” said Jay, “this guy is the Ultimate Killer. And he trapped us in here to kill us. So, it seems likely that he would try to kill us once we got out. So the burden of proof is on you. Now tell us, why would the Ultimate Killer NOT try to kill the children he’s been trying to kill in a horrific way.”
Monokuma looked stunned. “Oh. Well, if you put it like that…” said Monokuma.
“So, the whole last motive was a lie?” Sophie asked.
“Well, not a lie, per say said Monokuma. “It’s entirely possible to protect yourself from the Ultimate Killer, eve if he did sneak into the police vehicle you were in. Just not likely for some of you, I suppose.”
“And if Monobird were to tell us this, we’d have no reason to consider the motive anymore,” I said. “So you would have to cancel the motive.”
“Grrrrrrr” growled Monokuma. “Well, no matter. I’m already thinking up a new motive. And THIS time, there won’t be any of this roundabout, technicality stuff. I want to see you guys play the game!” Monokuma disappeared.
“Well, that was weird,” said Jay.
“What about him ISN’T weird?” said Tammy.
“Well, at least we have something to try and work with” I said. “We know that there is some friction between the Ultimate Killer and Monokuma. We just need to figure out how to take advantage of it.”
We finished eating. I was tired, so I decided to go to bed after dinner, but first, I stopped by the MonoMono Machine. I put some coins in and some interesting things came out.
The first thing of note that came out was a big book about the countries of the world. “This seems peculiar.” The next thing of note that came out was a packet of Lightning Gum. “Now that seems weird.” The final thing of note that dropped was some pool toys. “This could be cool.”
I was on my way to my room when Sophie stopped me. “Um, uh, Justin” she said.
“Yeah” I said.
“Did you make figures of Troy and, um, Rachel last night?” she asked.
“Yeah” I replied.
“Do you mind if you show them to me?” she asked.
“Oh, uh, sure,” I said. I lead her to the art room. I showed her the statues I made. “What do you think?” I asked.
“Well, they look good,” she told me. “I can tell you put your heart into it. I’m sure that if they could see it, they would love it.”
“Thank you” I said. I decided to reflect on those we lost yesterday.
Troy. A man of honor. He was always willing to help anyone. He was colorful, but that made him all the more real. He wasn’t pretending to be anything he wasn’t. I’m sure he could have been a good hero if a foul villain didn’t torture us like this.
Rachel. She was a very wonderful person. Always there, looking after Sophie. She was calm, even in the darkest of situations. She wasn’t afraid to open up when the situation called for it though. Though she can no longer look after Sophie, she trusts us to do so. And I’m not about to break that trust.
Sophie yawned. “Well, I guess I’m off to sleep,” she said.
“Are you sleeping in Rachel’s bed again?” I asked.
“Oh, so you heard about that?” she said. “I’ll be in my own bed. I just felt like I needed to do that last night.”
“I understand” I said.
“It...felt warmer,” she said. “I needed that. Well, good night.” With that, Sophie left.
I left soon after and headed to my room. I got into bed and thought about what was happening. Despite all of the death and being held against our will, we were all trying to make the best of the situation. We were all trying to find a way out and trying to have fun. We were growing as people. I guess it’s like grandpa always said: “An Ultimate isn’t measured by results, but by actions.” And it’s those actions that will ultimately take down the Ultimate Killer. I just know it. It’s not a matter of if, but when.

Working in sustainable development/climate change: narrative resonance
The motivations/reasonings of those who are switching into/choosing to work on climate change/sustainable development, as a career. For those like me choosing this path, we’re in good company.
Survey after survey shows young people are not just incorporating new climate-conscious behaviors into their day-to-day lives – they’re in it for the long haul. College administrators say surging numbers of students are pursuing environmental-related degrees and careers that were once considered irresponsible, romantic flights of fancy compared to more “stable” paths like business, medicine, or law. (1)
Gen Z.
“I keep forgetting that climate change is the problem ... We’re not going to have a future where we can fix the injustices if our world is literally falling apart” -Cam Rosen is a 2020 graduate of Duke University from London, England. (2)
although she personally does all she can to minimize her carbon footprint, hopelessness still sometimes seeps in. “Every once in a while, I’ll get really nihilistic and be like, ‘Hey, is it responsible to have children?’ and have that conversation with my partner. Like is it responsible for us to be bringing children into this world that is literally crumbling?” (2)
“We grow up being told that working in environmental fields is a dream that is not accomplishable. And there’s no money in it, ... But as we start to realize that the world that we live in isn’t sustainable, and that corporations will stop making money if we lose the planet, then that funding is going to start showing up.” - Matt Ellis-Ramirez, 22, a Chicago-based volunteer for the youth-led environmental activist organization the Sunrise Movement. (2) ...
“If you understand how climate change works, then a bank should actually really want to talk to you because they want to hedge their risk.” - Christopher Schlottmann, the global curriculum coordinator at NYU’s environmental studies program (2)
Climate change as social justice: “Environmental issues are not just environmental issues, but rather one avenue to help address other issues in society,” says Brooke Majewski, 23, a recent college graduate who works at a company that helps businesses achieve their sustainability goals. “It is about finding solutions for the planet we are on, but it is also finding solutions for the people being most negatively impacted by climate change.” (2)
“I decided to pursue this industry because I think I’m in the first generation who knows the extent to which climate change poses an existential threat to life on Earth, and also the last generation who may be able to do anything about it,” - Larrivee, Boston-based environmental consultant. (2)

Phan Cam: Return of Distortion
DISCLAIMER: Some of the people who will appear here are based off of real people. So I would like to apologize in advance to the Booth family for their portrayal in this post. Also, I like to warn you that this post might be long.
>Cafe Leblanc in Yongen-Jaya. Me and the others (except for Queen, Panther, and Crow) were already there with Skull’s mother. When she found her son wasn’t home, she demanded an explanation. So... We told her the truth.
Mrs. Sakamoto: (no other picture of her other than her smiling available) My... That’s... That’s a lot to absorb.
I know how you feel. My heart almost stopped when I learned the truth.
I’m sorry you had to learn about it like this.
Believe us, if Ryuji did wanted you to know, he would tell you the best way he could.
Mrs. Sakamoto: It’s not your fault, Futaba chan... But to be honest, I had a feeling my son was a Phantom Thief for some time now. I just wasn’t sure about it until now.
Again, we’re sorry about this. Especially after what just happened.
Mrs. Sakamoto: What did happen to Ryu kun?
>Suddenly, we hear a car pull up.
That must be them now.
Ren: I should warn you, you may wish to brace yourself for what your about to see.
>Mrs. Sakamoto nods her head. Then the door opens.
This is going to be a tight fit.
Ryuji, can't you just suck it up?
Ryuji’s voice: It doesn't work like that. This armor may be my body, but it ain’t flexible like one.
Akechi’s voice: Could someone help on the other side? I can push, but we need someone to pull.
Ren: I’ll do it.
Yusuke: I’ll help as well.
?????: I suppose I’ll help as well.
I know that voice... Toshi? Is that you on the other side?
Man’s voice: Who else? Kuchisake-onna? (laughs a bit) Now are you helping or what?
>Me and Yusuke take Ryuji’s “hand” and we pull. We pulled and pulled until finally, he got through.
Finally. I thought I was never gettin’ through. Thanks.
Ren: No problem.
>Mrs. Sakamoto walks up to her son, still unable to believe her eyes.
Mrs. Sakamoto: ... Ryu kun?
Ryuji: Hi, Mom. I’m sorry I didn’t show up at the apartment... So, how are you?
>With that, Mrs. Sakamoto nearly faints. Luckily, the stranger who helped us catches her.
Nice catch, Mr... Toshi, wasn’t it?
Mister Toshi was my father. It’s just Toshi. And thank you, Detective Prince.
Ryuji: Will my mom be okay?
Boss: Just in case, I keep smelling salts in the back.
Haru: I’ll get them.
>Haru goes to get the smelling salts.
I guess she’s still reeling. I know I am.
Y- You’re...
Ann: I’m sorry, you guys... But my mom sort of came with me.
Your mom? Oh boy, this is going to be some day.
Ann’s mother: Katherine McBride. Don’t worry, I have no intention of revealing that you’re the Phantom Thieves. Ann trusts you too much.
Toshi: I knew who you guys are for a while, and I also don’t have a reason to turn you in, either.
Ann: How did you know?
Futaba: That’s easy... Because he’s Toshi. One of Japan's most famous enigmas.
Toshi: I wouldn't say famous... More like well known.
Same difference.
Mrs. Sakamoto: (just getting up) How- How did this happen?
Ryuji: That what I would like to know. How did I become... Become...
Futaba: Overflow.
Ryuji: Huh?
Futaba: That’s the name of the alien you’ve turned into. Overflow. Well, I’m guessing it has something to do with that.
>She was pointing at the symbol on Ryuji’s chest.
Makoto: The Omnitrix? Of course, Ben Tennyson uses the Omnitrix to turn into different aliens.
Katherine: So, we just have to remove it and he should change back, right?
???????: That would be ill advised.
Toshi: Are they here already?
Sorry. We’re not the chap you were thinking.
Can’t blame you, though. We have that kind of effect on people.
That’s one way of putting it.
Everyone (except Katherine, Toshi, and Mrs. Sakamoto): Professor Paradox!? Bruce Sato!?
And... Aren’t you the Hellblazer?
Smooth hobo: I prefer John Constantine.
Ren: What are you doing here?
Paradox: I was touring a bit of the future when I saw this happening. Your friend becoming one of the former aliens of the newest incarnation of our Benjamin Tennyson.
Constantine: I learned about your predicament while I was at that apartment of yours.
Bruce: And Chihaya called me to come here.
Mrs. Sakamoto: Do you... Think you can help my son?
Constantine: Hard to say. This was done with both magic and science. But one thing’s for certain though, removing that symbol won’t help him.
Paradox: Indeed. I’ve spoken to Azmuth who spoke to another Azmuth. That Omnitrix badge is now completely embedded in his heart, sending pulses to keep it going. If we remove it, the effects could be lethal to your son.
Makoto: So you’re saying that badge is the only thing keeping Ryuji alive right now?
Bruce: That seems to be the case.
Ryuji: (shocked) You mean I could be stuck like this forever!?
Constantine: Now, now. There’s no need to be a wet blanket... Heh! See what I did there?
Ryuji: YOU THINK THIS IS AN EFFIN’ JOKE!?
>Ryuji shoots a blast of water from his forearm at Constantine.
Hey! I just cleaned that spot!
Ryuji, stop it!
>Just like that, Ryuji stops shooting water.
Ryuji: I’m... I’m sorry. I just lost it there... More than usual. I’m... I’m just scared. I can’t live like this. I have a life. I have school. I finally became an idol. To become Overflow... I think I lost all of it.
Paradox: I under stand your feelings, Ryuji Sakamoto... But I don’t think that’s why you lost control.
Ren: What do you mean?
Constantine: We’ll tell you... Upstairs. Right now... My fellow Brits are almost here.
Boss: What do you mean?
Toshi: Oh right, I almost forgot why I’m here. You remember Michael Booth and his family?
Boss: Yes...
And I should pat myself on the back for being able to hide this place from them. It would have caused a scene.
Toshi: Well... They found it.
Wait. You mean... They’re coming here?
Toshi: That’s right. Michael wants to study curry’s history in Japan. And who better to help than the guy who serves the best in Yongen-Jaya?
Boss: That’s only because Wakaba helped with her formula.
Toshi: Either way, they’re coming now.
Boss: (groans) Fine. All of you better go upstairs. I need to clean this mess first.
Constantine: No, please... Allow me.
>Constantine snaps his fingers and everything in the cafe is cleaned up and dry.
Constantine: I’ll send you my bill later... Here they come.
>We quickly go up the stairs to my room. I stop for a bit to see who Toshi was talking about... They come in through the door.
Here we are. Cafe Leblanc.
I’m not sure why a cafe in Japan would have a French name.
They probably chose it to make it sound a little more fancy.
It like it.
Boss: Well...
Thanks for that.
(whisper) Good luck, Sojiro.
>Upstairs in my room, we were examining Ryuji to find a way to change him back into a human.
Futaba: So the big question is: How do we undo something made with science and sorcery?
Diego: Joker, got any ideas?
Ren: I’ll need to think about that. Right now, Professor Paradox, what do you mean by Ryuji losing control?
Paradox: Inside all versions of the Omnitrix, including the Ultimatrix, lies a pocket dimension where the DNA of the aliens it scans have lives of their own. That includes consciousness. Overflow is no different. But somehow, his DNA was copied and was used to alter your friend’s.
Ryuji: How did that happen?
Paradox: I am afraid that is beyond even my vision. But according to Azmuth, this “crude” copy of the Omnitrix’s DNA alteration is without a time limit. And without a time limit to change you back into your human form... The consciousness of that alien would take over entirely.
Ryuji: You mean, if I don’t change back soon...
Ryuji could lose his own consciousness, leaving only Overflow’s.
Paradox: It gets even worse. The minds of the scanned aliens are incomplete. Right now, Ryuji’s mind is keeping Overflow’s mind in check, but not for long. Once his mind is gone, all that will be left is a Cascan without a proper mind to guide him and, instead, only instincts and impulses.
Ryuji: And what’s going to happen to me? To my mind?
Constantine: My guess is... It would go to that Sea of Souls you learned about in the Velvet Room.
Ryuji: Yeah, Ren told me. He said that’s where all souls come from... But it’s also where they go after the person who has it dies... You mean I could die!?
Ann: Ryuji, shush! Boss’s guests are still here.
Ryuji: Sorry.
Constantine: Don’t worry there. That’s why we’re here.
Bruce: I’m sure we’ll find a way. After all... What is lost, can never truly be gone.
>We don’t know what that means.
Paradox: There is still hope. That is what he said. But I suggest we find it as quickly as we can.
Diego: How come?
Paradox: ... Your friend and Overflow are not the only ones effected.
>I was starting to get worried.
Ren: What do you mean?
>Professor Paradox was silent for a moment.
Paradox: I think it is time for that idea Diego asked for. Ask yourself this, you may know who might help in the magic department... But what about science?
Ren: Well, I know a lot of people. But I guess the only person who can help with Ryuji would have to be...
>I froze. The only scientist who can help Ryuji would be... The one who is connected to him.
HARRY!?
Futaba: Hold on, I’ll see if I can contact him.
Hurry, Futaba chan!
>She opens her computer and access the video chat. After a few second, it’s answered.
Hello? Futaba?
Futaba: Peter, how’s Harry? Is he okay?
Peter: How did you... Did Gwen tell you?
Ren: No, we knew.
Peter: How?
Ryuji: Hey, Pete. Long time, no see.
Peter: (shocked) Ryuji!? What happened to you?
Akechi: That’s how we know. Now tell me... Did Harry fall into a coma?
Peter: ... He did at first. But woke up in the hospital. But he was very weak. Well, not so weak that he can’t do anything, thank goodness. He can still use his spider powers and stuff.
Harry’s voice: Pete, is that Akechi and Ryuji and the others?
Peter: Yeah, it’s them.
Hi, guys. Hey, Ryuji, I see the Overflow look was no joke.
Ryuji: You... You knew about it?
Harry: I thought it was a dream at first. But after seeing you now...
Ryuji: Wait. Did you say dream?
Harry: Yes. It was just after I collapsed.. Did you have it, too?
Ryuji: Yes. What happened?
Harry: Well, in the dream, I was hovering over the ocean on a stormy night with a red skull painted on my face.
Ryuji: With Tokyo right behind you?
Harry: Yes.
Ryuji: And an island in front of you?
Harry: Griffin Rock.
Ryuji: What?
Harry: That’s the name of the island. Griffin Rock, Maine.
Wait. Griffin Rock?
Makoto: That’s where Ryuji’s father was.
Ryuji: (angry) I knew! He has to be the one behind all this. I just know it.
Akechi: That’s one possibility. We still have no concrete evidence Alexander Paine is the one responsible. Besides, this seems more like something Raymond Warren would do. But I think this might be too much even for him.
Peter: He’s right. I don’t think even Gwen’s uncle would go as far as trying to duplicate alien technology. At least that’s what I think.
Makoto: So that’s two suspects. But I think the real question is... Why?
Yusuke: That’s true. Most of our enemies either had a change of heart by us or is in prison.
Harry: And my dad- Norman Osborn, made it clear that he’s given up.
Akechi: Still, we shouldn’t rule him out as a suspect.
Constantine: Actually we might. Ryuji’s transformation is the work of science and sorcery. And neither Osborn or Jackal like magic. And I’m pretty sure the same is for Paine.
Ryuji: I dunno, I wouldn’t put it past him. The guy lives for complete and utter chaos.
Constantine: Well, only one way to find out.
>Constantine takes out a piece of chalk and traces a circle with it.
Constantine: Ryuji kun, if you will.
Mrs. Sakamoto: This isn’t going to hurt him, is it?
Constantine: It’s just a detection spell, ma’am. We’re going to find out how it was done.
Ryuji: Whatever gets the job done.
>Ryuji goes into the circle.
Constantine: Here goes. Ecived edam ot kool dna krow ekil eht lanigiro ecived, woh od uoy krow? Erehw od uoy emoc morf? Ohw edam uoy?
>The circle glows and light comes from it and surrounds Ryuji. The Omnitrix symbol glows and light particles glow out of it. Then, they gather together and form something. I take what it formed... I was a bit surprised.
This is... That new card.
Makoto: That must have what caused it.
Ryuji: The Dream FES System?
Futaba: How is that possible? No one knows how the Dream FES System works. No one even knows where it came from. Not even the head of D-Four Productions or the heads of the Brands who make the Dorika.
Constantine: Either way, they some how managed to use it to implant the Omnitrix containing Overflow’s DNA on Ryuji’s chest. And they used the concert to do so.
Makoto: But we still don’t know who did it, why they did it, and how to undo it.
Peter: Guess magic is not as helpful as science.
Constantine: (not happy) You didn’t have to rub it in, mate?
Katherine: Don’t you have any ideas? You’re a time traveler.
Paradox: I’m afraid it is not that simple. I cannot tell you without causing great harm to the timeline.... However, I do have some advice.
Ren: What’s that?
Paradox: ... Look out the window.
>We were puzzled... But I decided to look anyway. Me and Futaba look out.
?????: Shit! They can see us?
?????: Let’s beat it!
>The two young men on the roof across from us quickly duck away.
I know those two! Back during the LilyMu heist.
Ren: Jared and Jesse Deucey. I still don’t know about them. They some how have the power to restore a target’s Palace.
Futaba: But apparently not forever. I checked with Lily dozens of time and she’s back to the way we made her.
Diego: But why were they here?
Bruce: ... Sometimes the culprit returns to the scene of the crime.
Mrs. Sakamoto: You mean they were the ones responsible for what happened to Ryu kun?
Futaba: I doubt it. I looked these guys up. Even together, they barely have half a brain...
But I think they might know some things.
Ryuji: So we just gotta follow ‘em, right? Let’s do it?
Are you sure? Someone could see you.
Futaba: Actually, how did you get Ryuji over here? Even if you used the van, someone could have seen him.
Katherine: We just told everyone that he was in cosplay. Thankfully, they believed it.
Ryuji: But I can’t just sit up here. I may not know much about my new body, but I can still run... I’m still a Phantom Thief.
Alright. You’re still you, brother.
Ryuji: Thanks... Aibo (Partner)... Yosuke Hanamura, eat your heart out.
Futaba: Okay. But we still need to get him downstairs. I think the lovely British couple and their bespectacled son might buy the whole cosplay story, but the younger kid? ... I don’t think so.
Katherine: I could design something. But it may take time.
Ann: ... Constantine san?
Constantine: What can I do for you, fair lady?
Can you cast a Glamour?
Constantine: (smiling) I’ll see what I can do. To ensure a future preserved, mask our friend, see justice served.
>In a swirl of light, Ryuji was engulfed. Then, as fast as it came, it was gone.
Did... Did it work?
Peter: I don’t know. You still look like Overflow.
Constantine: Because your camera is like a mirror. It will show the truth behind the illusion. For something more powerful, you’ll need to speak to someone a little more experienced than me. Like Zatanna or Dr. Fate or even that Dr. Strange in New York.
Peter: Fine. I’ll see what he can do. See you guys soon.
Harry: We’ll be rooting for you.
>With that, they hang up.
Futaba: It’s a good thing no all reflected services reveal what Ryuji looks like. I’m wearing glasses and I’m still seeing the illusion.
Katherine: Same here.
Ren: Me, too. So i guess we won’t have to worry about Asger Booth.
Constantine: Also, remember that this is an illusion. Your actual size will still let itself known such as knocking things down and getting stuck. Also, because my Glamour spells are not that powerful, it won’t last. This should last for I should say about 1 hour.
>I suddenly notice Ann speaking to herself.
(whisper) Stronger Glamour spells have longer effects.
Ren: What was that?
It’s nothing. Let’s go.
Katherine: I’ll be heading home. There’s a wedding dress waiting to be finished. For a wedding in America.
Bruce: And I’ll go speak to Chihiya. Since Professor Paradox won’t tell us what may happen in the future, we have another reliable source.
Paradox: True. Better you learn from a true psychic than me. Especially since she know that, and I quote, “The future is not absolute.”
Bruce: Thank you. But we might still need your help.
Paradox: Very well. I shall see what I can do.
>With that, he vanishes.
>We managed to get past the Booths and out the front door (which was not easy since Constantine was right about Ryuji still getting stuck). We got on the van, except for Bruce and Kathrine. Bruce was going to Shinjuku to speak with Chihiya and Katherine was going home to work. Constantine used a spell to help us track the twins.
Constantine: It looks like they’re headed for Shibuya. Right, shall we?
>With that, we drive off.
>One of the best things about Big Bang Burger these days... is how empty it has become since the Okumura heist. So people can pretty much do whatever they want without getting much trouble with the staff... Just perfect for a wanted criminal who came back from the dead to just sit and relax. Typing away on his computer and maybe even enjoying lunch... But that all ends when Jared and Jesse burst in.
Hey, you!
(sighs) What is it now?
Jesse: We went to check on those guys like you told us to. I thought we were just gonna scared them, not turn one of them into a monster!
Yeah, this is not what we signed on for!
Jin: Tch! That’s because you have the IQ of a chicken. Of course you would think this was to be some simple prank... But it’s way more than that.
Jesse: Okay, we get it! We may not be Albert... Edison, but even we know our limits.
Jin: Oh please, you don’t even know the meaning of the word limit.
Jesse: (not getting angry) Listen here you little shit, we didn’t drop out of school to hurt people. We came because we thought we were the same.
Jared: But I guess having Personas isn’t enough.
Jin: True... My head isn’t hallow.
>For the Deucey Twins, it was the last straw. Jared, despite being the youngest here, grabs Jin by the shirt and lifts him up.
Jin: What are you going to do? Kill me? I’m already dead.
Jared: No... We’re going to settle this... Persona Style.
Jin: ... Very well.
>Station Square. We just arrived here. Unfortunately, due to traffic, an hour had almost passed and the Glamour spell Constantine used is about to wear off.
Ryuji: Aw man, the spell’s gonna wear off. Can’t you make it last longer?
Constantine: Sorry, mate, my hands are full.
Futaba: Wait... Look.
>We look out and was saw, the twins and someone headed for the subway.
There they are!
!
Makoto: What is it, Futaba?
Futaba: I know that guy who’s with them...
Isn’t he suppose to be dead?
>The Underground.
Jin: Are you sure you want to do this? I’ve had my Persona for a long time. You’ve only had your Personas for two years.
Jared: True... But we took the time to practice.
Jin: Very well... Open it.
>Jared takes out his phone... And opens the Metaverse Navigator.
>Five... Four... Three... 2... 1... Glamour spell: Over.
Nav: Beginning navigation.
>A red wave passes over them. When it was over...
Jin: Prepare yourself!
>Jin takes something out.
Jesse: Right! Slice!
Jared: And dice!
>The twins take out their own Evokes.
Jin: Persona!
Jared and Jesse: Persona!
>In a large burst, they summon their Personas. The twins’ Personas look a bit identical. Both wore green and white outfit-like armor with green helmets. They also had swords and green capes. The capes also have white letters on them. On Jared’s had “DUM” and Jesse’s had “DEE”.
(Insert song: Every Second Matters from OK K.O.!)
Tutorial
Even though they are two people, Jared and Jesse work together as one.
When not using their Personas, Jared is good with Melee attacks (using a claymore) and Jesse does Ranged attack (using a triple barreled pistol).
Jared’s and Jesse’s Personas, Tweedledum & Tweedledee, also act as one. Tweedledum uses Physical and Support Skills while Tweedledee uses Wind and Healing Skills. They are weak to Psychokinesis and Curse.
Jin: You’re still much too new at this. Moros, deal with them.
>Moros uses Stagnant Air. Tweedledum uses Charge. Moros uses Taunt. Jared and Jesse are enraged. Jared attacks with blind Rage and his claymore. However, Jin dodges it. Moros uses Snap. Jesse attack with his pistol. It was a critical hit. Jesse shoots his pistol again. Jin gets back up and Moros uses Agidyne. Jared attacks again. Moros uses Bufudyne. The twins became Frozen. Although the Rage wore off, they were still under the Freeze effect. Jin throws a hand grenade. It shatters the twins. Tweedledee uses Diarama. Moros uses Megido. The twins dodge it. Tweedledum use Charge again. Moros uses Eigaon. It knocks both twins down. Jin throws another grenade. They get back up again and Tweedledum uses Assault Dive. It was a critical hit. Tweedledum uses Assault Dive again. Jin gets back up and Moros uses Brain Jack. Luckily, it missed. Tweedledee uses Garudyne. Moros uses Ziodyne. The twins get Shocked. They couldn’t move. Jin runs in and attack with his briefcase. However, he gets Shocked. Jared and Jesse are now free and Tweedledee uses Garudyne again. It was a technical hit due to the Shock. Jin still couldn’t move. Jesse shoots his gun. Another technical hit. Jin recovers and Moros uses Giant Slice. Tweedledee uses Diarama. Moros uses Agidyne. It Burns the twins. Tweedledum uses Tempest Slash. The Burn eats away at their health. Moros uses Garudyne. It was a technical hit due to the Burn, despite that they can resist Wind attacks. Tweedledum uses Charge. The burn eats away their health again. Moros uses Garudyne again. Luckily, they dodge it. Tweedledum uses Brave Blade. It was a critical hit. Tweedledum uses Brave Blade again. Now Jin was at his lowest health. Though, the Burn still eats away at their own health.
Jin: I see... You have been training.
Jared: Are you gonna quit now?
Jesse: And change that guy back?
Jin: Sorry, but what I just did to him... Is completely new to me... And your training was in vain.
>Jin gets back up and Moros uses Mamudo. It causes the twins’ health to drop to 1.
Jared: This could be bad. Jesse?
Jesse: No good. I already used up most of my energy with those Wind spells. I can’t heal and I forgot to get items before coming here.
Jared: Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Jesse: It’s been nice knowing ya, little brother.
Jared: Same here, big brother.
>The two of them held each other in defense. Jin uses Soma on himself. Jared and Jesse still defended themselves.
Jin: And now, to end this.
>Moros uses Mamudo...
Jared and Jesse: Mother.
?????: Persona!
>The new Persona takes the hit for the twins.
Jared and Jesse: Huh!?
Jin: Tch! I knew you would get here sooner or later.
>We emerge from the shadow to show ourselves.
Sorry for the wait. Here.
>I use Soma on the twins.
Jared: Thank?
Joker: You better be. That was my last Soma and I don’t know when my next shipment will come in.
Jesse: But why? We helped that jerk turn your friend into an alien.
After seeing you fight Jin Shirato to have him change Skull back, we can see that neither of necessarily bad.
Just misguided.
Skull: (back in his Overflow form) Hey, you! You did this to me! You better change me back right now!
Jin: I already said I don’t know how. I used this place to do it.
I’m still reeling how Mementos is back.
Jin: Heh! Guess you Phantom Thieves aren’t as great as you think after all. There’s always going to be that one group of people who still wish to be ruled over. Though I doubt Yaldabaoth will come back just like that, but it was enough to bring Mementos back.
Constantine: He’s got a point, love.
Either way, we won’t let you get away with this.
You hurt our friend, now you have to pay.
Though, I wish I knew how you used Mementos to change Skull into Overflow or even who we are.
Jin: Very well. They call it the Dream Festival System for a reason... It was created from people’s dreams.
You mean... That’s where it came from? People’s dreams.
Jin: Yes. The dreams of the audience and the idols. I won’t bother you how it’s done... But I suppose you could ask... The Velvet Room. But I can tell you this. Dreams are the same as human thoughts and thought are part of people’s cognition. So I used the cognitive world to create a trap Dorika meant to mutate whoever took a hold of it. And Ryuji Sakamoto was the best target. As for how I determined who your real identities are... Putting strikethroughs is not exactly going to make you anonymous.
But you have to admit, it’s been working for us so far.
Jin: Umm, why do have four ears? When did you add cat ears.
Mona: Thought I’d make a little more like me.
Jin: (sarcastic) Right.
Focus here! We still can’t let this guys just do what he wants.
Jin: Heh! I like to see you try.
So be it then.
Then it’s time to work! Persona!
>Necronomicon scans Jin and Moros.
Oracle: I’m not getting any weaknesses. But avoid using Fire, Bless, or Curse Skills.
Fox: If he uses Fire Skills a lot, perhaps Ice might help. Persona!
Skull: I’m goin’ in, too. He ruined my life. It’s only fair. Persona!
Oracle: Hold up, Skull. I’m detecting something off. It looks like your new form might help...
But be careful when you use Electricity or if he uses it.
Skull: (a bit worried) I see. (regains confidence) But don’t worry. We’ll be finished with this guy before you know it.
Jesse: We wanna fight, too.
Joker: I don’t see why not. It looks like you’re ready for Round 2.
Jared: Yup! Tweedledum and Tweedledee are just raring to go.
Joker: Tweedledum and Tweedledee? That’s what your Personas are called?
>This got me thinking...
Actually, I think I know just the Persona that can help.
>I change Personas.
Joker: PERSONA!
Jesse: That’s going to help us? That scrawny thing?
Joker: Alice may not look much, but she’s very powerful. You’ll see.
Jesse: (still not sure) Okay.
Jin: Come at me.
(Insert song: Unavoidable Battle)
Tutorial
Skull’s battle functions are different in his Overflow form.
As Overflow, Skull’s Ranged attacks have been altered. He no longer can use a shotgun. However, in its place, he can use a water gun. When he uses water gun on an enemy who is weak to Ice, it will be treated as an Ice attack. It can even be effective against Fire and Electric based enemies with a chance of a critical hit. But be cautious. If he uses it on an Electric based enemy, there’s a chance that he could get Shocked. Like all guns, Skull’s water gun runs out of ammo. However, each bullet is replaced by a gallon of water with a gauge on it. Each time the water gun is used, the gauge drops. When the gauge runs out, Skull will move on to the next gallon. Right now, Skull has 5 gallons of water. He will receive more as he levels up.
As Overflow, be careful. Whenever Skull attacks with his Persona’s Electric Skills, there’s a chance it will recoil and hit him. Don’t worry, he won’t be Shocked.
As Overflow, Skull’s resistance to Electric attack is no longer available. He won’t be weak to it (he’ll still be weak to Wind), but the chances of him being Shocked has increased. However, if Skull uses his Ultimate Persona, Seiten Taisei, his Electric Block will still be in effect.
>Alice uses Concentrate. Goemon uses Masukukaja. Captain Kidd uses Matarukaja. Tweedledum uses Marakukaja. Moros uses Triple Down. Luckily, our increased agility allowed us all to dodge it. Alice uses Megidolaon. Goemon uses Raising Slash. Captain Kidd uses Charge. Tweedledum also uses Charge.
Jin: You won’t win this time... There’s no cure for stupidity.
>Moros uses Ziodyne on Skull. Just like the tutorial predicted, Skull was Shocked. Luckily, I used Non-Static Gum and I have plenty to spare.
Oracle: We’ll see about that. Let the duel of the hackers begin!
>Goemon uses Bufudyne. It was enough to Freeze him. Captain Kidd uses Assault Dive. It shatters him. Tweedledum uses Myriad Slashes. Moros uses Agidyne on Fox. It knocks him down. Moros uses Garudyne on Skull. It knocks him down. Jin then tries to attack me with his briefcase. Luckily, I dodged it. Alice uses Concentrate. Fox gets back up and Goemon uses Bufudyne. Skull gets back up and Captain Kidd uses Ziodyne. It recoils. Tweedledee uses Garudyne. Moros uses Maragion. It knocks Fox down and Burns me. Jin throws a grenade at the twins. Alice uses Megidolaon. The Burn eats away at my health. Fox gets back up and uses a Coolifier Pad to cure me of the Burn. Skull uses his water gun. It was a critical hit.
Skull: All right! Time for some pain!
>After the attack, Jin was still up, but now a little more weaker.
Oracle: Support’s on the way!
>Necronomicon uses Mediarama. Tweedledum uses Assault Dive. Moros uses Maziodyne. Skull was Shocked. I use Non-Static Gum on him. Goemon uses Masukukaja. Captain Kidd uses Matarukaja. Tweedledum uses Marakukaja.
Jin: Playtime is over, kids. It’s time for the real deal!
>Moros uses Mahama.
Oracle: Look out!
>Necronomicon uses Final Guard.
Joker: Thanks, Oracle. Damn! If only Curse attacks worked on this guy, I could use Alice’s full power.
Skull: I could do it. But this time may not work.
Jared: Leave that to us.
Jesse: Just buy us some time.
Joker: Right. We’ll leave it to you.
>I defend myself. Fox uses Master Coffee on me. Skull also defends himself.
Jared: Here goes!
>Tweedledum uses Rebellion on Skull.
Jin: There is nothing you can do now. Quit wasting my time.
>Moros uses Agidyne Fox. It knocks him down. Moros then uses Ziodyne on Skull. Luckily, he dodged it. Alice uses Concentrate. Fox gets back up and Goemon uses Deadly Fury.
Skull: All right! Here we go!
>Skull uses his water gun. It was a critical hit.
Skull: Okay, Joker, the rest is up to you!
Baton Pass!
Joker: I won’t disappoint. Now raise, Alice!
DISCLAIMER 2: This may not actually work in game on a Curse resistant enemy.
>Jin was finally defeated.
Jin: Guess you... Really are as smart as you look.
Hells yeah!
Crow: But we just want to know one thing...
Why? Why did you do this to Ryuji?
Jin: I could tell you... But that would spoil the surprise.
Are you fucking series!?
Jin: Tch! Whatever. You’re going to find out soon enough... But if you really want to know... Try asking the Kirijo bitch.
>Jin quickly gets back up.
Queen: Stop him!
Jin: We’ll meet again soon.
>We try to grab him, but Jin uses a Smokescreen and vanishes.
Skull: Dammit! He got away!
Don’t worry. We’ll get him soon.
Jared and Jesse: We’re so sorry about this.
Oracle: Don’t worry. Like I said, you just went down the wrong road...
But you still have a lot of explaining to do.
Jesse: Believe us, we do.
Noir: But not here. We better go.
>With that, we leave Mementos.
>The maid cafe in Akihabara. We came here so Jared and Jesse can tell us everything.
Jared: Won’t people think it weird to see an alien here?
Futaba: I’m sure they’ll just think he’s in cosplay like they did last time.
Clara: (coming up to us) Welcome home, master. Say, that’s some nice cosplay you have on. You look just like Overflow.
Ryuji: Uh, thanks.
Clara: So what can I get you, this splendid evening?
Ren: We’ll have some Sincere Omelettes and Relaxing Coffee, please.
Akechi: Make my omelette Love★Pancakes.
Jesse: And make mine and my brother’s coffee Oo-hot Tea.
Ryuji: I’ll just have some water.
Clara: Coming right up.
>She leaves to get our order.
Jesse: I guess we better start explainin’.
Jared What would you like to know?
Ren: Well for starters, how do you guys have Personas?
Jesse: Me and Jared were candidates for some kinda test here in Japan... Mostly someplace called... Tatsumi Pot Island.
You mean Tatsumi Port Island.
Jesse: Right. Sorry, I’m not good with Japanese.
Makoto: I think I know which test you’re talking about. Mitsuru san told Sis and she told me.
Akechi: She told me, too. She said the the Kirijo Group were looking for people have the potential to wield a Persona. Especially orphan children.
Haru: You mean the two of you are orphans?
Jesse: We might as well be.
Jared: Our mom died when we were very young. And our dad’s in prison.
Futaba: You mean Ace Deucey? I can see that.
Makoto: What happened when the Kirijo Group took you in?
Jared: Nothing, really. We never actually went to Japan.
Makoto: How come?
Jesse: Headmaster Spritle. He took us in. He seemed happy enough with it since he never married. He’s been a bit like a father to us. We even became friends with his nephew, X. But after awhile, we became a bit of a handful and when we were old enough, we started living on our own. But Spritle let us stay at Racer Academy as students.
Jared: But then, Jin showed up. He said he hacked into the Kirijo Group and found us. He took us to that Mementos place. Not the one here, the one at the school.
Ann: Racer Academy has a Mementos? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. That place is like a town in itself. So of course there are a lot of people with distorted hearts there.
Makoto: What happened there?
Jesse: He gave us our Evokers and told us to shoot ourselves. We were scared at first, but we did it. And that’s how we got our Personas.
Makoto: Does your Personas have anything to do with Lily’s Palace coming back and disappearing again?
Jared: It’s our Personas’ unique ability. We can rebuild a person’s Palace. But it only works on a Palace once and not forever. After we leave the Palace, it goes back to being gone, and this time, for good.
Makoto: Is that how Mementos in our city came back?
Jesse: Yeah. But it’s way different than a normal Palace. After we leave, it’s still there.
Diego: Mementos is the Palace of the general public. If there are enough people with warped desires, that’s enough to solidify the foundation of it.
Yusuke: So we may have to travel down the the deepest depths to remove it again.
Diego: Who knows.
>Diego reaches into his jacket and pulls something out.
You still have that?
You’re not seriously going to drink out of it, are you?
Constantine: She’s right, bloke. If that’s anything like the real Holy Grail, you know what will happen if you drink out of it.
Diego: Of course I won’t drink from it.
Ryuji: I don’t understand. What’s this Holy Grail thing again?
Constantine: According to Etri- Jason Blood, the Holy Grail was used by Jesus Christ in the Last Supper. When he drank from it, some of his essence merged with the cup, granting it great power. If you were to drink from it, you would gain immortality... Maybe even bring someone back to life. That’s why Arty’s Knights went looking for it.
Ryuji: Arty’s Knight?
Diego: You mean King Arthur and his Knight of the Round Table. I know that. They went on a quest to find it so Arthur can make himself immortal and not lose to his son and nephew, Mordred.
Constantine: (a bit impressed) I see. You know the story, too.
Diego: My real name, Morgana, comes from Morgan le Fay. She was Arthur’s half-sister. Even though she was consider the villain, she was also a great trickster who seduced Arthur which lead to the birth of Mordred.
Constantine: Indeed.
Haru: What happened to the Holy Grail after that?
Constantine: Who knows. Some say it was found and lost by some archaeologist named after a state... But they watch too many movies. Me? I don’t really care... What use do I have for immortality?
Diego: (putting the Grail away) I guess that’s true.
Clara: (coming up) Thank you for waiting! Here are your omelettes, pancakes, and... The incredibly bitter vegetable juice.
Ren: We didn’t order vegetable juice. Please remake it.
Clara: (blushing) Oh, I’m sorry. I’ll get your real order.
Constantine: No need.
>Constantine waves his hand and the vegetable juice changes into the drinks we ordered.
Clara: (surprised) Oh my... Is there... Anything else you’d like?
Constantine: (acting smug) How ‘bout... The time you get off?
Clara: (blushing again) Wow. I guess it’s true about what they say about you British men: You’re real charmers.
>She leaves... A little wobbly.
And here I thought Ren was the ladies’ man.
You’re still not gonna get over Valentine’s, are you?
Jared: What happened?
The girls: Don’t ask.
Ryuji: Back on subject. What about me? How do we change me back to myself?
Futaba: Me and Akechi spoke with Harry and Peter on the way here. If Griffin Rock was in your dream, then it must be the key to changing you back. If we go there, we might find our answer. And we better find it soon.
Akechi: She’s right. I told them about the time I fell into a coma. It was around the same time Peter bonded with the V-252. He told me he bonded with it a second time and I passed out at the same time. He told me he bonded with it again a third time to stop a villain called Thanos. That was while we were doing Dancing in Starlight. But I didn’t go into a coma that time. I just felt weak.
Diego: And the same thing’s happening with Harry because Ryuji became Overflow. But instead of going into a coma, Harry simply became weak. How could that be?
???????: I can answer that.
>We quickly turn to see Lavenza with Professor Paradox.
Ren: What do you mean?
When Peter Parker fused with the Symbiote known as Venom, you didn’t form a connection with him. But then you came to New York and formed one with him and Harry Lyman. It was that bond that shielded Goro Akechi when Peter Parker fused with the Symbiote a third time.
Ren: So my bond with Peter... Saved Akechi?
Lavenza: That is the case. However, it would only be a temporary protection. Akechi would remain awake yet weak as long as Peter’s consciousness remained intact and active. However, if it were to be locked away, Akechi would fall into a coma. But if Peter Parker’s consciousness was completely gone and sent to the Sea of Souls leaving only the Symbiote’s...
I would have gone with it.
Ryuji: (worried) You mean, if I don’t change back soon, Harry could fall into a coma? And I my consciousness goes... He’ll die!?
We won’t let that happen, brother, I promise.
Ryuji: ... Thanks.
>Ryuji takes a scoop of his omelette. But he stops.
Ryuji: I just remembered... I don’t have a mouth. How am I suppose to eat?
Ann: Yeah, what does Overflow’s kind eat? I don’t think omelettes.
Paradox: Cascans mostly eat algae and plankton.
Ryuji: For real!? Gross!
Paradox: Of course, their most favorite delicacy are clams. Probably lucky that you are going to a place where you will most likely find New England Clam Chowder.
Ryuji: That’s something I guess.
Constantine: Right. Now I believe we’re in need of that team Futaba and Diego were talking about.
Ren: I thought it out. I know Harry would be a good choice since he and Ryuji are connected. But I'm afraid he might be too weak to come with us. But we’ll still contact him on the computer.
Akechi: And Peter will be busy helping his aunt with F.E.A.S.T.
Futaba: Luck for you guys, I’ve compiled a list of people who might help in the science department. You might want to choose four. I didn’t add Paradox since he clearly has other things to deal with.
Paradox: Now that’s a little harsh. But yes, I do not think it would be wise for me to stick around for too long. And that goes double for Azmuth. But I’ll leave the decisions in your capable hands, Ren Amamiya.
I’ll see what I can do.
>I look at the list. I better choose wisely.
>>Miles Morales >Gwen Stacy >Anya Corazon >Alistaire Smythe >>Curt Connors >Tony Stark >Max Modell >>Ryan Choi >>Conor
Diego: I had a feeling you would choose Miles. He’s just as smart as Peter and the others at Horizon.
Ryuji: Same for Dr. Connors. He was the best teacher I had at Oz Academy.
Constantine: Ryan Choi? I know a Ryan Choi. But guess this is a much different Ryan Choi.
Futaba: Pretty much.
Constantine: ... Well, as long as the Deathstroke of that world hasn’t killed him yet, I’ll see what I can do.
Jesse: And Conor? Our Conor?
Futaba: Well, from what I’ve learned, he’s a really great mechanic. That’s a bit like a scientist.
Besides, he might explode with happiness over something like this.
Jesse: That seem like it.
Jared: His pen pal leaves just around here. We’ll see if he can contact him since, well, we’re... Not ready to face Headmaster Spritle.
Ren: Then, why not come come with us? If we work together, we’ll be able to undo the damage Jin did.
Jared: You’d... You’d really do that for us?
Why not? We could always use more phantom thieves on our side.
Jesse: Us? Phantom thieves? That... That would be kinda a good. We only joined up with Jin because we thought it would be a good time. But I guess we got more than we bargained for.
Jared: We won’t let you down.
>We all agreed. Looks like the Phantom Thieves just got two more members.
Futaba: That deals with Team Science. Now for Team Sorcery.
Constatnine: No need to add me to that list. I’m already on this.
>I take another look at the list. Who should I choose to help with the magic part of our problem?
>>Zatanna >>Dr. Strange >Dr. Fate >>Robin Sena >Tanpopo Kuraishi >Yukiko Amagi >>Headmistress Faragonda >Headmistress Griffin >Headmaster Saladin
Constantine: Good choice, mate. Then again, you’re thinking of another Zatanna. Unfortunately, she has her gloves tied. You’ll have to settle for the one I know.
Diego: I suppose Dr. Strange will work, too. We do kind of owe him for trying to rob him.
Ann: Robin Sena? That’s that witch we met at the witch’s diner. I guess she could help. We owe her for the Kappa Tea. And Headmistress Faragonda is a good choice, too. Since Summer has begun, she has some time now. (whisper) And we can continue.
>I still wonder why Ann is suddenly interested in magic.
Paradox: Looks like this team is coming together quite nicely. Then, I’ll leave you to it.
Lavenza: And remember, I will be the in the Velvet Room to assist you.
Paradox: And one more thing. I picked up this for you.
Paradox: This ID Mask should be much more long lasting than a Glamour spell. But you may wish to avoid lightning flashes.
>Ryuji takes the mask and puts it on. He changes to human form.
Ryuji: Thanks. But I still wish I can be human again.
Paradox: And you will.
>With that, Paradox and Lavenza leave.
>Now we have our team. Let us hope we will succeed.
>On the coast of Maine, just a little ways from Griffin Rock, is what is known as the Rescue Bot Training Center. Inside, a young Autobot had just finished his laps for the day. Suddenly, another Autobot came in.
Hey, Blurr, another package came for you.
All right! About time. They really need to speed up their delivery.
Salvage: Maybe because they don’t know where you live and you’re using Kade’s credit card, so asking for a speedy delivery cost too much and you know how cheap Kade can be.
>Blurr takes his package.
Salvage: Is it another one of those... I know it’s normal to be a fan, but... To have dreams of them.
Blurr: I know it’s odd since Autobots don’t normally dream... But there it is... Just promise no one else will know. Quickshadow already knows, but she’s not interested in telling anyone. But the others, especially Heatwave...
Salvage: I promise that this will be our secret. Just try to keep it in moderation.
Blurr: Will do.
>Blurr takes his package to a secret park of the Training Center. He opens it.
Blurr: Finally, my collection is complete.
>Blurr places the Skull figurine with the other Phantom Thieves figurines and the rest of the merchandise.
Blurr: Oh Primus, I wish I could meet these guys... Especially Skull.
>The story continues. Wish us luck.

Why We Dental Surgeons Should Raise Our Treatment Charges?
If we want to raise charges, first we have to accept that we are cheaper. But have we tried to find anytime that why we are cheaper ? I would like to elaborate points:
1. We are really cheaper.
If we want to raise charges, first of all, we have to accept that we are cheaper. But have we tried to find any time that why we are cheaper?
Here are some reasons.
a) Everyone amongst us had decided our treatment charges on the basis of charges taken by dentists of our area whenever we opened a clinic. We never calculate and to gain more patients we actually we're a little bit reasonable than senior dentists. If we are taking optimum charges then our next generation will never blame us.
b) Any dental treatment charge should be according to our Investment on education (applicable to current decade of dentists), investment on dental clinic equipment, materials, technologies, maintenance, furniture, laboratory charge etc
+
Most important is TIME (Your actual income per hour)
+
SKILL Charge if you really wanted to add but none of us are counting treatment charges in this way.
What we are currently taking only fulfills our maintenance and depreciation. No profits.
c) We always count charge according to laboratory charge or material charge.
Friends, we are a skillful person, not a trader. Whatever is your lab or material charge but you should always charge for your expertise, skill, efficiency and your mastery for your predictable results.
Have calculations and then decide treatment charges.
2. The scenario of all 3 decades is different.
a) Before 10 years Dentistry was simple and was much cost effective than today.
b) Today you must have a wonderful clinic in a good complex, good interior, good equipment, latest technologies, latest materials and good payable staff and doctors. So your net income actually falls if you count all these.
c) After 10 years we all need more fancy gadgets and equipment or materials. Might be everyone have to buy OPG or CBCT in group or CAD-CAM scanner which will again add drastic cost in your liabilities.
Keep in Mind
3. Inflation.
Everything adds 6-7% per year in itself and till we actually realize it, one more wave of 6-7% have been added. Only we don't bother to add it. The moment you open your eyes in bed and again at the end of a day you close it everything becomes costlier. Milk, newspaper, breakfast, petrol, car, maintenance, clinic staff salary, materials, equipment, lab charge, restaurant bills, shopping, school fees, groceries bla.. bla… Only we are humble and we don't raise per year.
4. Professional Hazards.
Those who don't have professional Hazards like Neck lesion or Back lesion after 10-15 years of practice, either they don't have practice or they are lying. Friends, once you will suffer from any professional Hazards in your body then you have to compromise your clinic by anyway. Till that time if you don't save enough money to expense for your future then you will be finished.
If you are thinking that after doing any management courses you will be able to manage your clinic in your absence, you are wrong. Others can never run your clinic more powerful than you. Save for future or emergency.
5. Be prepared for more number of dentists coming in next 10 years.
Today we are talking about competition but friends believe me competition is yet to come. 26000 dentists will share patients with us every year and so many of them will be consultants or experts in some field. Patients will choose their dentists wisely in next decades. Hold firmly your position otherwise, you will have to blame your luck.
6. Dentistry is the only branch in the medical field where we have daily maintenance.
Most of the other branches in the medical field have only one-time investment on hospitals and equipment and then they only earn, no major expenses.
We have daily bills and daily expenses added day by day and month by month. Till you buy one equipment or material, on next day something more beneficial will come and you need to struggle to buy that.
We need to attend repeatedly conferences, lectures; seminars and workshops or courses to learn new techniques or methods and believe me none of them are economical. Earn more to spend more and still, you are at same level unless you add more on earning side.
7. We have our inside enemies like Corporate Clinics, Trusts, Dental Chains.
Still, they are not that much but there will be lots and lots more to come and to make us cheaper and cheaper. Be unite and fight for survival.
8. To fulfill our family and our own expectations in life.
Everyone has some expectations in life like our parents, spouse, and kids and nothing is cheaper actually. If we don't earn we can't fulfill their expectations. Still, we have to fulfill our own expectations and don't forget we are living in the 21st Century where everything is becoming costlier day by day.
Start earning decent money and enjoy the life fully.
9. Dentistry has limited life span.
We have a life span of 25 years and only few survive till the end. Most of them achieve fantastic growth initially followed by sustain maintenance for few years and ups and downs in the last phase except only few branded clinic and I am sure this message is not for them.
So catch that decade wisely and save a lot for future.
10. Achieve your Dreams.
I have some calculations: (Actually, I Love Calculations.)
Any dentist in any city of India has some dreams. We assume that we do practice for 25 years and in this 25 years we need following things.
A. 2 BHK flat: 60 lakhs
B. Furniture in that flat: 40 lakhs (we need two times furniture in 25 years)
C. One small clinic in city: 40 lakhs
D. Furniture and basic equipped clinic: 40 lakhs (twice in 25 years)
E. Car expense: 30 lakhs (we assume we change basic car of 6 lakhs 5 times in career)
F. Child Education fees for one kid: 20 lakhs (we only count school and basic college fees, no donation in any major branch)
So total is 2.30 Crore.
If we count that everything is provided today on loan of average 10 percent for 25 years, means you don't need to buy anything in 25 years still your
Equated Monthly Installment (EMI) is 209000 and to earn a Net profit of 2.09 lakh you need to earn grossly 350000 INR month by month.
And still you have only basic property.
No fancy dream home.
No fancy dream clinic.
No higher education for kids.
No fancy shopping.
No fancy holidays or leisures.
No Jewellery.
No fancy Cars.
This is not to make anyone depressed but to realize that you have to earn more if you really wants to enjoy life.
So raise your charge to pay fancy EMI.
(Above Calculations are good cities of Gujarat only and you can count according to living standard and property expense of the respective city of India and EMI will be according to that.)
Friends lastly I would like to point out some outstanding benefits of dentistry.
1. Dentistry is highest paying profession across the world. Somehow it is lacking it's interest in India because we don't value it actually.
2. We are skillful people and we can earn a lot if we really understand the real value of dentistry.
3. India is booming in next 20 years in terms of living standard and per head income along with paying capacity of individuals. The way we are developing if we really think something creative we will be a millionaire in coming years.
4. Esthetics and smile designing is really a very well revenue generating branch and we can earn a lot out of it. All major cities have demanding clients for that.
5. Implantology has really made dentistry a bit revolutionary revenue generating branch and I am sure in next 10 years all of us will be implantologist.
Advice for seniors.
My sincere advice to seniors that please raise your charges first as after few years of experience we have a big client base and in fact, they will be happy to pay us more provided we charge more. We have to look for juniors also as we were also juniors at one time.
Till we don't raise our charges how they can take initiative?
So let's take advantage of seniority for patients and also take initiative for wonderful future of dentistry.
Advise for juniors.
You have a wonderful span of 20+ years and if you learn from our mistakes you can easily make more money out of it. Learn new technologies, new systems and try to work in a more predictable and different way and earn more. We didn't guide by others. You have some wonderful seniors to guide you.
Be different and grab the opportunity.
Friends,
We just need to hold hands of each other and should grow together and need to think about why we didn't raise our charges.
Still, we have a wonderful time for future.
Please be unite, arrange some meetings in your area or city, discuss points and decide some minimum charges for all dental treatments with keeping everything in mind and earn together.
LET'S UNITE AND RAISE THE BAR OF DENTISTRY AND LET'S MAKE EVERY DENTAL SURGEON MILLIONARE..!
Tried to motivate you all and still in some points I may be right or less right.
Thanks,

Ang Wedding, Parang Prod Lang ‘Yan These Days (Sigh)
Having spent a considerable time sa industriya as an apprentice for wedding shoots and then shifting to digital and eventually focusin on strategy and content, heto ang mga real talk, no BS sagot sa mga hot topics sa ngalan ng mga pa-trendy ganaps ng weddings like Heart-Chiz, Anne-Erwan at ang pinaka pasabog for me so far, ‘yung kay Vicky Belo and Hayden.
Q: Wedding = Prod? How so po? Parang ang brutal naman. A: Dahil sa matindihang age ng social media, naging isang status symbol na ang wedding. Noon, royal weddings lang saka weddings ng mga artists and politicians ang nasisilip at na-scrutinize ng mga tao, pero now, one photo, one video is enough to put a wedding on a pedestal or down the drain. Dahil sa concept ng styling, todo paganaps ng photos and videos pati sa hair na thanks to Dyson na worth 20k na blower and classic red lips and pak na pak face na brought to you by Mac Cosmetics worth more than 25K, naiba na ang ball game. Living up to a certain benchmark na ang mga weddings these days. Bakit prod? Noon, pag sinabi mong wedding swerte na ‘pag may video ka. Alta ka na agad noon. Level up na. Ngayon, kahit may video and photo ka pa at complete ang checklist mo, subject to approval pa rin ito ng mga guests at even ng mga taong nakiki-usi lang sa wedding ninyo. Mas maagang call time, mas mahabang preps, mas matindeng pagaabang ng emotions, paninigurado ng paglakad sa aisle with background music ang ilan sa labanan. Noon, ang wedding is basic: good food, good company, decent photos and ofc, yung pagmamahalan na wagas ng couple lang masasabi mong natawid mo na with flying colors. Hindi ko pa rin magets ito hanggang ngayon kasi simula nung naging apprentice photographer ako until ngayon, ‘yung mga peg ko ‘pag dating sa kwentong proposals and kasal remain to be a particular video na napakawalang fancy anything except sa indie band na sikat na sikat na ngayon. Weddings are like prod these days kasi need mo talagang i-expose ang grand highlights and/or the most heartfelt stories you can get. Walang standard lang. Walang primetimebida levels lang. Aim for Netflix originals kind of ballgame. Ganyan. Q: ‘Yung 10K bang album, mahal? A: ‘Pag marunong kang maghanap ng supplier sa Divi or sa area ng Maynila, matatawa ka sa presyuhan ng wedding albums. As in at 5K meron ng decent and simple leather bound na may lalagyan pa. Ang reason why couples get the add ons kasi ayaw na nila maabala. Hindi rin puwedeng sabihing mahal siya kasi ‘yung photographers pinapasa nila ‘yung printing cost so need nilang mag-patong. Q: SDE, cinematic highlights, save the date? Kelangan po ba lahat ‘yan? And why or why not? A: Ang tanong ko lagi, ano bang kwento mo? May kwenta ba kwento mo? Kasi depende sa kwento at kwenta ng kwento mo ‘yung sagot ko. A good example is ‘yung wedding ni Anne and Erwan para lang hindi na mag-share ng link. Kaya kelangan ng teasers, SDE and cinematic highlights pati save the date kasi rich ang kaganapan at rich ang stories waiting to be captured. I AM SORRY. ‘Yung ang totoo. Q: E bakit po kasama usually ang save the date and SDE and cinematic highlights sa usual weddings? A: ‘Yung totoong sagot is kalakaran e. And it allows suppliers to showcase their creativity PERO again, they go as far as the materials they capture. Maraming parang generic wedding videos kahit from sikat and non-sikat suppliers kasi ngaaaa, guys, kwento mong may kwenta ang puhunan ng lahat. Kahit pa panget ang camera niyan, kahit pa nga naka mobile phone lang yan, heartfelt stories beat any flashy prods anytime and anywhere in the world. That’s why vloggers are on their way to go head to head with the cinematic shit of Hollywood. Netflix is trying to be the holy grail. Ganern. ‘Wag puro sa forums tumingin. See the bigger picture. Thank me, never. I don’t care kasi truth lang. Q: What do we need to look for sa videos? Para po kasi sobrang mahal ng lahat. You pay for videos to: -non-awkward shots and flattering “may pleasantly surprising side pala ako” moments for the couples and for those na manonood IRL and online. -storytelling lalo na ‘pag hindi umayon sa paganaps ang panahon at pagkakataon; storytelling na ma-go beyond ng standard shots -artsy standard shots like ring shots, veil shots, groom shots, bride shots, family shots, atbp. -style na pasok sa scope and limits ninyo ng partner mo; kung ayaw ninyo ng puro posing and made up shots, hanap kayo ng magaling mag-candid. Kung gusto niyo naman high fashion AT kaya niyong panindigan, go. Push. Q: Saan po mas okay mag-invest ‘pag within budget? Photos or videos? A: Kung ito ay wedding ko, fan man ako ng video at nasa day and age man tayo ng videos, sa photo pa rin ako babalik-balik. Bakit? Kasi videos are just bonus ‘pag may paganap na weddings. Iba pa rin ‘yung hatak ng moment na literal na frozen in time. Now, arguable ito pero kasi awkward ako in front of the camera kaya I’d rather invest on a hand held or follow cam sa couple then a videographer na decent and may editing skills at may sense ang edit. Fan ako ng nahahawakang memories, kasi old soul pa rin ako. Also, madaling gawaan ng paraan ang videos kasi may editing, as in literal na puwedeng putulin at ulitin at gandahan ang shots. Sa photos, pagna-miss mo ‘yung moments, lels na. Go home na. Siguro kung mas bata ako, sa videos. Siguro lang. Q: Paano mo malalaman kung ‘yun na nga ‘yung supplier na meant for you? A: Research. Stay within budget. And dapat kinikilig ka sa offer nila. And you trust them 100%. Kung lalampas ka man sa budget, dapat justified talaga kung bakit pero I suggest stay within budget kasi one day lang ang wedding. Important ‘yung pagkatapos ng wedding which is the married life. Q: Paano po masure na maganda photos and videos? A: Trust your team. Have meetings to align everyone and make everyone at ese or kung hindi man, at the very least, acquainted. Have a vision. Plan your day and stick to the schedule. Most importantly, and diyan at diyan ako babalik, no amount of any topnotch nor underrated suppliers can make up for a couple na hindi at peace sa decision nila to get married. :) You can always try to fake smiles pero sobrang sarap mag-capture ng wedding na effortless.
Q: Paano po pumayat sa photo and video? A: Prime lens. Angles. Cropping. ‘Yan ang galing ng photos and videos. Pero malaki ang natutulong ng make up and most importantly, damit. Example: malaki braso mo, so ‘wag ka ng mag tube. Paki usap. Kung may prob ka sa back acne, you might want to let go of the backless dress kahit napakaganda pa nito sa imagination mo. Kung groom naman e kulang sa height, ‘wag na tangkain na mag-tuxedo. Kung super chubby naman, stay away from suspenders saka sakal na neckline, again for the groom. Malakas makapayat pag nakita mo sarili mo sa salamin tapos obviously, nakatulong ang make up, hair and outfit mo. Parang prod lang. Need ng wardrobe consultants and matindeng hair and make up na hindi umaayaw kahit ano pang lagay ng panahon at ng mood.
Q: Ano pong best food for suppliers? A: Basta hindi Jollibee or kung ano mang fastfood. Crew meals na hindi inapi are decent enough. And basta ‘wag gutumin ang suppliers kasi sila ang prod team mo. ‘Pag gutom sila kahit bayad TF nila mahirap mag-function. Minsan argument is kasi dapat kasali na sa costing. May iba, ganun. Pero again, kalakaran na ang mga suppliers sagot ng couple ‘yan. Alamin ang preference ng majority ng suppliers. Be sure na sapat ang kanin at ulam and walang may allergic reaction to whatever you serve. Very important ‘yan. Bigyan din sila ng tubig lalo na yung mga matitindeng tumakbo around to ensure na okay ang performance. For now, eto muna ang mga kasagutan. Abangan or not ang next round.

Ring Video Doorbell Review
Here's my Ring Video Doorbell. The ivory cover plate is the one that's the best match for the paint. It came with three other ones and I may switch it out for a more sleek look. The moment you power it up, the Ring talks to you. Super Cool! Copyright 2017 Tim Carter
Ring® Video Doorbell Is Easy and Fast
I installed my new Ring® Video Doorbell on a rare fair-weather December morning here in central New Hampshire. Christmas was just days away and I was filled with excitement as I opened up my Ring® box.
Snow meltwater was dripping on me, but I didn't care. I was so excited to try this product that marries technology with traditional doorbells.
It's important to realize a month before I had a terrible experience with a similar product, the Nutone Knock.
Here's what the Ring sees as you approach my front door. You can tell it's Christmas in New Hampshire. Once the holiday passes, the tiny Christmas tree and lights will disappear and the view will be unobstructed. Remember, you can HEAR what's going on at your door as well as see. See that round green button? Push it and you can talk to your visitor or other person of interest! Copyright 2017 Tim Carter
Email Exchange With The Ring® Inventor and Founder
Two weeks prior to installing the Ring®, I had an astounding back-and-forth email exchange with Jamie Siminoff the inventor and founder of Ring®.
Another key point is in all my years of reviewing products I NEVER had such a pleasant and rapid response. My wife Kathy had given me Jamie's private email address a few days prior as she had an exchange with him about a different matter.
I was STUNNED that he got back with me and in no time he had sent both the doorbell and the Floodlight Cam.
My gut told me right away that my experience with the Ring® was going to be unlike any other product I've tested and reviewed over the years.
Exquisite Ring® Packaging
Here's the box the Ring Video Doorbell Pro comes in. Jamie must be related to Steve Jobs. The only other products to have such a gorgeous box and clever packaging that I've seen are Apple goodies. The INSTANT I saw this box and opened it I knew this was going to be a dream installation. Copyright 2017 Tim Carter
After you unpack everything, here's what you have. All sorts of other very helpful literature, quick-start guide, stickers, etc. came too. Copyright 2017 Tim Carter
Everything - I Mean EVERYTHING - Included for the Ring® Install
The Ring® comes with everything you need to do the install. I had the Pro version of the doorbell because I wanted my Ring® to activate my 20-year-old traditional"ding dong" doorbell when someone pushed the outdoor button.
Here's a partial list of what's included:
Ring® doorbell
backplate
4 trim cover plates
interior doorbell snazzy diode connector kit
handy screwdriver with Phillips and reversible Torx bit
1/4-inch masonry bit for stucco
anchors
push-in wire connectors
quick-start guide and other helpful paperwork
Jamie even included extra screws in case you drop and lose one. What a nice touch!
Ring Pro Diode Accessory Kit
You need to install a handy little diode kit, if you want your new Ring to make your old "ding dong" doorbell to still work,.
This part of the install is so simple a caveman could do it. Jamie thought this through even down to the tiny patch of 3M two-sided adhesive on the diode box.
To put it another way, I've NEVER seen such attention to detail in my life. Thank you so much Jamie!
Here's the fancy little wire connector you need to use to make the interior "ding dong" doorbell work. It took seconds to install. What a dream! Copyright 2017 Tim Carter
Within two minutes, I had the entire accessory kit installed. The little white box that contains the electronics to make the old-fashioned *ding dong* doorbell work even came with it's own small square of 3M two-sided adhesive. Incredible attention to detail. Copyright 2017 Tim Carter
The Ring® App - Seamless Install and Powerful
You use the Ring app to guide you through the installation. It's beyond perfect. I was prepared for frustration.
All I got was happiness. There were NO hiccups in downloading or using the app on my Moto G5+ phone.
I really appreciated Jamie's humor. Look at it below:
Here's what you see as your Ring connects to your WiFi network. Pretty funny! When was the last time you saw such humor as you installed something? Copyright 2017 Tim Carter
Here's the front page of the app once you have everything working - which won't take you long! You can see I have two Ring devices - the doorbell and the spotlight cam. Copyright 2017 Tim Carter
Ring Pro® Video Doorbell Review Summary
I love my Ring. I've installed lots of products in my career, but NEVER have I had so much fun doing it.
Often instructions are incomplete - not so with the Ring®.
It's not uncommon you have to go find tools - not so with the Ring®.
All too often you might need an extra part - not so with the Ring®.
Usually the apps are confusing - not so with the Ring®.
I guarantee you'll be THRILLED with your Ring®. If not, Jamie will make it right.
His email address is right on the side of the box!

Hello, Storytellers~
Summer's in full swing! (Which is great, but up here it's kinda chilly. What gives?!) It's sunny, it's warm, it's beach season and we couldn't be happier! Summer is the season of high energy and high muse - which means lots of plotting, lots of writing! But don't forget to go outside for the occasional ten seconds of fresh air. <3
Welcome to our blog’s first newsletter! From hereon in, we’ll be submitting it every month on the first. Keep an eye out!
THE WELCOME WAGON
We're welcoming a total six new candidates this month! Say hello if you see them in the cbox! March, as brought by Shade! She's looking at the Obsidian King~ Cam, who has expressed interest in Dorothy! Gen, looking at the Merry Men of Robin Hood! Leopard, who totally slipped in under the radar - if you see this one, nab them and say hi! Rosary, a friend of Nico's! Shelby, who found us through an ad on tumblr! Last minute Zira, an old friend of Carma's, who's dragging York along with her!
IN THE WORKS
We're looking at fae, Egyptians and fairytales this month! Be sure and take a look at these apps, and stay tuned to see them complete~
March's Rauvelore ap Ievos
Gengar's Iollas Dacan
Hakuna's Osiris
Shelby's Maddie Hathaway
Nico's Alice Liddell
Though there's not yet an app, Rosary has a character named Lucy Seeker in the works! Wonder what she's all about!
ENTERING THE STAGE
We had a whole slew of characters joining us in May, including a grand total three canines, a feline, a few immortals and a Night Mare.
Ocean's Cafe Noir
Skel's Averin Lucida
Bass Invader's Pestilence
Spotteh's Gregorio Pantaleon
Momo's Pippa McBride
Micken's Ranger
Reed's Cerberus
Moulder's Pretty Boy
Lloydy's Asheton Hollins
Lulu's Jack Dawson
WANTED CHARACTERS
Of all the Big Five, a couple are still in need of filling! Those are North, the Guardian of Wonder, and Sandman, the Guardian of Dreams. Further, we'd like to take a moment to remind people of the Wanted Ads out there~ If you're musing on a character idea, take a look at the Wanted Ads out there to see if there are any roles your idea can fill! Don't hesitate to poke people and see if they're willing to be flexible on what they've got!
SITE UPDATES
It's Summer Skin time! As before, you have the option to choose between a DAY skin and a NIGHT skin. Go to your User Control Panel, and on the left-hand side, look for skin preferences! You should see SUMMER DAY and SUMMER NIGHT available. Special thanks go to Ionahi of tumblr, who we commissioned for the artwork in both skins! Tumblr Features: Starting this month we are opening up a new thread for Wanted Ad features! Those of you who would like a wanted ad featured on our tumblr page, post in that thread with the requested information! A single member can request a specific wanted ad once a month. That same member can request different wanted ads once every week. Guides: The community has done it again, giving us two new guides to pore over! First we have Shade's Guide to the Fae, formatted in a google doc, and second, Momo gave us the Land of Sweets from the Nutcracker. NPC Character Gudielines: Staff is going to be slightly revising the role that NPC characters are able to take! This shouldn't affect anyone currently, it will simply help to give a more distinctive boundary between "full character" and "NPC character", as we don't currently have much to distinguish them.
THE STORY SO FAR
The Starlit Masquerade is underway! So far most of the guests have arrived in some fashion; some have partnered off for a dance, while the rest are simply chatting it up in....what we can only hope is civil discussion. But soon, they will be joined by their most gracious host, with words on the Guardians! I wonder what all will be said - and how might that information be used by less savoury sorts? Could the Anti-Guardians be gleaning information from their enemies, even now?
SPOTLIGHTS
Momo's Poesy: If you've heard anything about the power struggle in New York's gang community, this girl's at the center of it. The gang scene has been severely shaken up ever since Poesy decided to dig her claws into it; she's clever, she's crazy, and she's on her way to the top. Moulder's Volker: This is a man who's lived a long life haunted by his family's curse. Male members of the family are possessed, through each generation, by a demon of sorts known as Oor, who turns the host into a sociopathic cannibal. With a son of his own, he's looking for a way to free himself of the curse before it passes on to his child.
GOSSIP INSIDER
Know the tricky thing about masks and code names? All the good gossip is speculation until everything is revealed! That said, the gossip rags are soaking up spilled tea everywhere! Let's wring 'em out and see what we can find out~ A masked lady in blue and silver was asked to dance by a dashing man in green - are those robes? Who wears robes in this day and age? And who taught this man to dance? He's crushed the lady's delicate toes! Wow, did you see the gown on that woman with the horned mask? The one with the emeralds and gold? Whew, she looks like she belongs in the Palace, that's for sure! But it also looks like she'd found her place with Mr. Tall-Dark-and-Handsome over there~ Now there's an energetic duo on the dance floor! She's clad in gold and he in white, but if you squint a bit... I think - maybe - one of them is glowing? Perhaps it's just a trick of the many lights... Yeah, that's it. Couldn't possibly be...? Could it? Overheard in the Amber Room: two ladies discussing how overwhelming the party is! They're not wrong; the party is being held in one of the grandest locales in Russia, is being hosted by a being that hasn't been seen in several years, and no one knows who anyone is! It's the very definition of the word, but fear not, ladies - everything will be okay. Just enjoy the party~ Overprotective Chaperone Alert!! Hyperion has found himself in the company of two unchaperoned young women and is, apparently, very upset about this! So much so, in fact, that when one of the dates finally appeared, he was very curt with him. There's still one date missing and he seems to be silently fuming about this. WHAT KIND OF STRANGE DOG IS THAT?! It's not like any dog we've ever seen, folks, and I'm willing to bet that it's not a real dog! Honestly, we're still wondering how it even got in and to whom it belongs, but the guy in red seems to know it... Speaking of the guy in red... RABASTAN! That's his name! Yeah, he was overheard saying some rather rude things to a lady - granted, her words weren't terribly ladylike - but that was seriously uncalled for! And it just goes to show that words hurt - but fear not, Rasalas! A fellow lady is there to show solidarity and to give advice and comfort. Just let Gemma take care of you, it'll be okay~ Looks like the champagne wasn't enough for some! Arcturus set out to steal some wine and succeeded! Now, with stronger drinks in hands, he and several others in the Cameron Gallery are discussing the other guests in broader terms. People come to the balconies for fresh air and a reprieve, but they tend to leave in pairs - according to one set of loose lips. Several couples have been spotted, but the one that intrigues me the most is the man in the cape and his dazzling lady in blue. She seems tense... wonder why... HOLY MASQUERADE, BATMAN! Gotham City's Dark Knight has been spotted talking to a pirate lass, a pretty lady in yellow, and a gentleman who... ALMOST... got a date! In any case, I hope Batman has an eye on the two gentlemen in the corner; they are lowkey competing with him for the title of 'Most Likely to Brood at a Fancy Party'. And, thus the curtains close on the Starlit Masquerade Gossip Corner~ We shall now resume with our regular programming. There would appear to be an unattended child running around in Burgess with a bag way too big for him. Fortunately, a nice ol' dad is here to help him out. Hey, who said that you have to be a Guardian to have fun? Ginger's throwing her own shindig, and she's got all the really cool people there. Booze and soft drinks around! Seriously, who let Douglas take anyone for a tour around the Moon Clipper? At least Thoth seems to be serious about it... Avast, it's a meeting of pirate folk! Or...well, a former pirate and a cabin boy....girl. Wonder what the Jolly Roger wants with Asheton? Oh jeez, Jamie's gotten himself into the clutches of a rising power in the gang world. And who's there to save the day but one of Ryder's own gang members? Yeah, it's a bit of a hairy mess. Let's hope our belief-less boy comes out okay! Who's that sniffing around the fae world? Why, it's a handsome skeleton~ He's caught the eye of an equally curious hot mom. No, a real hot mom, as in she's on actual fire. It seems our favourite light sprite doesn't understand that wraiths don't like bright glowing girls. She just wants to make a friend, Sab, have a heart! Maidie's in a mess! A mess whose name is Hydra. Whatever dastardly plans does the snake man have for her?! Will she make it out alive?! Ever wonder what training a ditzy light sprite might look like? Well, Deit's about to find out... Tars needs to seriously stop getting caught unawares. It's happened with the wrong person now...wonder if Taer plans to tattle? The friendly mom routine is winding to a close~ Kary is about to learn the true nature of the Beldam. And it's a real shame, too; they were getting along so well. Oor seems to believe he can strike a bargain with the Nightmare King. Could he have anything in his favour, or is it a lost cause? Snow is beginning to uncover the mysteries that lie beneath Roman's mask....just how much will he share? Apparently mouth to mouth isn't an expression of romance in these two cultures; Emil and Sabellius have instead become a strange pair of friends. Or that's the idea, anyway. It's a bird! It's a plane! ...Actually a bird isn't far off, but Daniel's being a superhero again and Kay's left to wonder....huh? Stand aside Emil, there's a new dad for Maidie in town, and his name is Niulang! Well there's no lions or tigers or bears, but there sure is a wolf, and Frollo hates wolves. What's that? She's also a woman? Oh, now he hates her more. Burn the witch, am I right? It seems like the Aquarians are about to get themselves into a bit of a pickle...there's danger on the horizon, and only one of them seems to be aware. Ever wondered why the Guardians think how they do? Pandora's asked the Guardian Expert, Pitch, to explain! Wait.... Hold on, hold on! There's a gunfight by the lake, between two Guardians. Both of you, calm down! You're on the same side! What's this? Childhood friends?! West is about to learn a shocking truth about her sweet friend Pippa. The Lady of the Lake stands before the ruins that brought about the existence of the Stromkarlen. Is there any dark magic here to be revealed? Damn, what a view! Douglas sure knows how to treat a lady to a nice spectacle. I guess there are some perks to living on the moon, eh? An evil scientist and an evil potionmaster have finally met! Only one seems to be even remotely pleased about it.
