Christians are called to be content in any situation--that doesn't mean we abandon all our good desires and concrete goals.

contentment is to trust/rest in God's promises to love you, provide for you, and make you holy.

you can do all of those things, and earnestly want and seek a husband.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord. Proverbs 18:22

"Favor from the Lord" meaning, of course, blessing as the result of a life molded by wisdom.

Now, how can one find a good wife without seeking? Seek without wanting? And how can wisdom and contentment be mutually exclusive?

I feel like it's a valid design choice across the souls games that forces you to think carefully about how you order your spells and purposefully imposes limits on how much you can do at once.

Seeing a lot of people call it a "flaw" and like...sure it's a little cumbersome, and given the sheer amount of spells present in Elden Ring compared to the previous games, as well as the increased speed of bosses, it could've done with a bit of a rework. (There's zero need for a different system in any of the other dark souls games, there just...isn't that much variety, and combat is slower, and being slow and deliberate is the name of the game)

But also some things are supposed to be a little cumbersome in these games, and it's sort of one of the few cumbersome things left in Elden Ring.

Also given that spellcaster builds tend to be very very powerful, having slightly cumbersome spell scrolling is a very small tradeoff, especially since Elden Ring is not a game that revolves around casting spells; it's an option, not a core piece of the combat. It can stand to come with an extremely mild drawback.

(Admittedly, there are many ashes of war in this game that can even render spells obsolete, so being able to map some spells or something would be very neat. I'm not saying it wouldn't be. But I think it's disrespectful to call it a game flaw.)

Here is a novel that I personally write. This is not just a fanfiction, is my inedited work. It's already a little dated (there are almost 300 chapters), so don't be surprise if the writing style is a little different from my current one; but at least, you already have a large part of the story already written and you can read it without interruptions.

Here is the completely synopsis:

In a world in a distant universe similar to ours, dragons were the supreme rulers for millions of years. But one day, a supernova struck their planet, making it uninhabitable for hundreds of thousands of years and killing almost all life on its surface. When the catastrophe ended, the decimated dragons struggled to recover, while other races rose up and became the new rulers, hunting the surviving dragons and forcing them to retreat away from civilization. The dragons fell back into bestiality and violence, regressing further and further until they were little more than animals. Now, dragons are a species on the verge of extinction, and nothing would seem able to change their fate... or maybe not? Haku, one of the youngest member of a dying species that struggle to survive, refuses this. He decides it's not right to surrender to the rules of that difficult and terrible world into which he had the misfortune to be born, and he doesn't want his brothers and sisters to do it either. He believes that there must be something else, some other way to live without fear. So, let's follow the journey of Haku and his siblings, a journey that will take them across the world and beyond, against a fate that none of them is willing to accept
