mildly interesting pnf fact of the day: before they came up with the name OWCA in s2 'summer belongs to you' the de facto name for perry's agency was SSSN, the super secret spy network. it only shows up in a few places in the show and never in dialogue - namely the human agents in perry's nightmare in 'p&f get busted' and apparently the tv station hosting the dr. feelbetter show in 'about time'

but it does show up in merch sometimes. also apparently in the 2012 pnf gogurt packets, which have a trivia question that claims perry works for the SSSN. presumably the asset packets they were using to create merch were out of date

#another mildly interesting pnf merch-related fact:#theres like two separate pieces of merch that include the pnf quote “we're building the world's biggest egg”#which is something they do not say. they have not to my knowledge built the world's biggest egg #but something to anticipate in s5 #meta #edit: casually browsing ebay and i found another one to add lol #phineas and ferb

I'm not sure if this is my filmmaker brain talking or just the one which revels in watching the fandom completely loose their mind, but when I thought about how a buddie reveal could go the first thing my mind came up with was a single scene:

It starts out with a couple of shots of Eddie's house from the inside, showing different rooms, it's morning, it's quiet.

Then we get to Eddie's room. See him laying in bed in a close up shot. Breathing softly. Still asleep.

Somebody moves. It's not Eddie. Someone's laying next to him. That someone stretches their arm out, pulling Eddie closer.

Eddie stirs at the touch, opens his eyes, smiles at the person, hand reaching out, caressing-

-Buck.

It's buck laying next to him. Smiling, happy and comfortable.

They stay in bed, neither of them really wanting to get up, way too comfortable the way they are, but knowing they gotta get to work.

They get ready together. Handing each other things the other hasn't even asked for yet. Small touches and smiles here and there. There's a routine.

Casual. Comfortable. Like they've done this before.

And the rest of the episode is just business as usual.

It just- does not get addressed. For the entire episode. Nobody bats an eye. Like it's the most normal thing in the world.

Cause it is. It's clearly been like that for a while.

At least for the characters.

And then over the course of one or maybe a couple of episodes they show us little by little how they got there.

Except- they do it backwards.

Starting at how they're already together, step by step, all the way back to both of their feeling realisations.

So we get to see them being their usual (cute, adorable, lovable) selves, except actual couple edition and only get to know how all of that even happened at the very end.

We get to sit there the whole time with the "but- how?! what?! when?! why?!"

Basically, make the reveal a slow burn for the audience.
