Brook literally died at 30/40, was stuck in a void and when he came out, was treated like he was with the mindset of a 90 year old.

Roger was a rookie when he passed, and when he was taken out of said void, Roger hadn’t just become a legend, he had lived, had a son, had a legacy, spawned a new age and DIED.

And that’s even before Luffy was BORN.

What a CHANGE that would be to handle, no wonder Brook is fucked up,

If you need help picturing what i mean, picture being from 1930 and suddenly being thrust into 1980+. You’d go crazy!

rant about Brook’s time skip powers from fish man island arc 🤩😱🦴

(uh before we start fishman island ⚠️spoilers⚠️ ahead)

Now I haven’t finished the anime/manga and I’m almost done with the fish man island arc rn, so if there’s another one of his powers revealed during this arc that is don’t mention that’s why.

but I just gotta talk about how absolutely COLD. 🥶 brooks new powers are!! Like da boyzzz 🥶🔥 typa cold 😂😂😂

no FR!! I find it so cool how he can bring the COLD of the UNDERWORLD into this realm?! Dude. WHAT ANIME CHARACTER YOU KNOW CAN ACTUALLY DO THAT?? Like?? Oda genius? Everyone always says “ohh I’m hotter than the underworld or I’m as cold as the underworld” but brook can ACTUALLY bring the cold HERE!!

cuz like!! He’s in the in between! He’s half dead half alive! He’s closer to zombies then gecko moria’s minions 😱 which brings me to my next topic! The only way to kill this dude is to completely shatter his bones or drown him!! Like? Think how op that is for a sec- every devil fruit user can be drowned right? Well known fact. But there are also many other ways to kill them! Obv luffy got some insane durability and plot armor but at the end of the day he almost died multiple times due to various things like swords/cuts and poison!! But brook? Not a problem! None of that matters as long as he’s not in the ocean or completely crushed!

Another thing I absolutely had to talk about was his soul coming out of his body!! Before all brook had was his sword and the fact that he practically won’t die again. But now!! He’s gotten so much stronger! His soul leaving his body is so op (no pun lol) because even if you trace it back, if you hit him awake it 1) won’t do any damage and 2) his soul shoots back so he can fight you! Therefore crosses out the option for a sneak attack! The only down slide is if you move his body to the water I’d believed…then that’d be a L for brook 😞🦴.

the last honorary mention is the fact that he can make you see the spiritual world with music!! It’s so funny cause it looks like your hallucinationating but all the time what your seeing is real just not in your dimension. 😭 taste of heaven type stuff 😜 I remember the fishman pirate underlings literally started dancing and shooting the “fire works” (canons) up in the air n stuff 😂😂

One of my favorite scenes, big reason, is Sydney opening up and Carmy experiencing pain for Sydney.

But another thing the scene points out is they these two are not platonic. If they are the type of friends that epitomize a platonic relationship with a work family that feels closer than a family, he would know this about Sydney. Yet, he doesn’t. Syd still holds back when it comes to Carmy.

To be fair, she held back about her mom with Marcus too. But now that it’s clear that Marcus and Sydney have a platonic relationship, there’s an ease in their getting to know one another. Currently, based on what the show has presented, we see Carmy trying to get to know Sydney, who remains reserved about her mother until she can't find a way to put her guard up.

That's the dance with these two Sydney puts her guard up Carmy tries to get to know her- how is that friendship or how is that even what Donna says in season 4? That they're closer than family family?

Maybe because we are just getting started next season on Sydney and Carmy becoming closer?

But really Why is it so difficult for them to hang out and party together? Why is Carmy so hurt by the realization that in not focusing on the restaurant, he's missing out on knowinh Sydney? If it's really about friendship, why are there so many barriers preventing it from developing?

Why is there jealousy? Distrust? The longing to trust and open up instead of just doing it? Why is it so difficult for Carmy and Sydney to talk about their deceased loved ones, unlike the conversations that Natalie and Richie have, or the ones Ebra and Tina share?

Why is it so difficult for Sydney and Carmy to have a conversation like Tina and Marcus did in season 3, episode 9, where they can truly check in with each other and exchange ideas?

It's not platonic, and as of now, I have nothing to show that for Sydney work, family - Carmy is closer to her than family.

Maybe it's just Tiktok, Facebook, and Instagram culture in regards to fandom, but idk it doesn't make sense to me at all and is often quite sad at times.

(Don't ask me why the fandoms are showing up on those platforms. Remember, apps are always watching, always listening, and then they suddenly creep up on unassuming you with spoilers moments after something airs.) 

Back to my scheduled general annoyance at social media fandom thing:

When I open that clip of Luffy singing that song and go into the comment section, people would be playfully praising and having fun with Luffy’s song being the best song. I feel happy seeing Luffy sing, Luffy is having his moment, and we all are having fun.

What I won't be finding is criticism on his singing skills or comments that might say how Luffy should now let Brook sing because he is the musician or how Brook far outshines everyone else in the music department. Or how Brook is so greater than other characters because Luffy has been going on about wanting a musician for his ship ever since he started putting his crew together. 

All of that sounds ridiculous, right? Especially because the post is about Luffy. And almost has nothing to do with Brook. We all agree on that. 

So, why does it happen whenever there's a Sanji edit, the comment section has a few conversations on good edit or genuine discussions. But those are far outweighed by the comment section being filled with all the negative comments full of mean things, all putting another character up to bring all the characters down. On a clip that's not even about that character. 

The worst part is what they insist on for that other character goes against their every characteristic. 

Why can't we all have fun with our own dolls and not go breaking into someone else's dollhouses? 

(I am not going to name the character because I genuinely love that character and think this stubborn insistence on shoving it into a certain mindless box is OOC. And my intention is to not upset their fans.)

I love that they were so scared of Ben and Rook's dynamic that they made an episode in which Ben meets Rook's family and planet and they felt the need to name it "Bros in space"

We had a banquet tonight and I got so many compliments on my outfit 😭

One of them was from a AF Captain and he was so nice and said my outfit was "very classy" (I just about cried after this one)

And another of the guys said I looked v "Greek God" and ahsjdinsuxnd

And us ladies of course had our own little hype sessions (they're all so pretty I stg)

I love getting to dress up sometimes. But I also love that I'm surrounded by these good little guys and gentlemen 🥺

this might be an unpopular opinion but does anyone else also not like brooke page? i feel like she comes off a bit annoying at times and i also feel like she gets wayy too involved in the plot(especially way too wonderland). i really don't like that the inciting event of way too wonderland happens because she told maddie what's happening and i don't like that they are really only able to get out of their situations because of brooke... i feel that takes away from the satisfaction of seeing our characters figure out things on their own and come up with solutions without them literally gaining plot armor. maddie and kitty being able to hear and communicate with the narrators is rly fun gimmick but imo it goes too far in way too wonderland

Does anyone remember One Piece?

It's become another one of the Fandoms I'm in, and my favorite character has to be Brook

I'm officially one of those teens who has at least one anime crush and not all American cartoon crushes. Who wouldn't love this skeleton? His backstory is so bittersweet that you'd need an entire twelve pack of tissues,

he's the funniest and most insane (in the good way) member of the strawhat pirates, he may be comedic, silly, whiny, and screams like a girl, but he can be such a baddass when he needs to be. Plus, he's super fruity

and he has the best singing voice and biggest wardrobe in the entire show

I love this skeleton so much! Sure, he has a running gag where he asks to see panties, but hey, he spent 50 years in isolation and forgot how to talk to women. You can't really get too mad at him

Plus, I think the scene in the thriller bark arc where Frankie was holding him while he was wounded from battle as Zoro avenges him was absolutely adorable

Say what you want! I'll continue to like what I like. Even though it's not a self insert crush and he's over 90 years old, I still love the musician of the strawhat crew

I'm gonna go on a mini rant here.

God, I shouldn't have to put a TW like that on a blog where I post Hello Neighbor content with my bff, but I need to just- let off steam about this because it's something that seems to happen every time there's a franchise centering around kids facing a big bad adult where- people assume that said big bad s3xually @ buses one or more of the minor characters.

A main big example of this is obviously FNAF, with the P3d0philia William Afton being popularized by PinkiePills with her comics to the point where a large chunk of the fandom believes that it's canonical. Despite that not being the case.

The example that has pushed me over the edge to talk about this today is Theodore Peterson. I have been worried since Episode 6s release that people were going to claim that Peterson S/@ ed Nicky. And today, low and behold I see a post (not gonna name drop them for obvious reasons) saying

"At this point it's obvious what Mr. Peterson did to Nicky" with the teaser image tinybuild recently posted

Now, at first my autistic ass said, "...What?" And I couldn't figure out for the life of me what they were referring to because I mean, we don't even know when this shot is from

Then I open the comments and see people talking about whether or not it was infact s/@ . I know I said I was expecting and dreading this, but it still shocked and bewildered me because- there's genuinely nothing in the show that actually makes it seem like this.

Thankfully, a lot of the comments were openly disagreeing with this idea and sentiment. But- I need to discuss why it's a problem to me, ESPECIALLY with this franchise, which I've already explained is very near and dear to me.

But good FUCKING GOD, especially with WTRB

THIS IS A KIDS SHOW

Is WTRB able to go much darker than most kids' shows because it isn't run on tv or owned by a network? Absolutely. But would TB go that far? FUCK NO.

I've seen this person using moments from the show like this

To call Mr. Peterson, a p3d0phil3, and I need to clearly explain the purpose of this image. It is to show the power he has built in his lies. Trinity witnessed Mr. Peterson kidnap Nicky before her own eyes, but he has built up such a persona as this pathetic old man in the town that even when she can see behind his lies and see his actively horrific behavior, no one else can.

We see this same back and forth in all their interactions in episode 5. From the moment he offers cookies based on Nicky's goggles to the framing of him looming while her parents work the printer. He believes he has won and can flaunt it because there is no one in Ravenbrooks who believes these kids. No one even notices or is suspicious of Nicky going missing in the first place.

And if Trinity was also an adult or even if Mr. Peterson was say- a woman this wouldn't be coming up or a theory/hc. It is only because Theodore is an older male antagonist.

Now, why is this a problem? Why do these hcs and theories urk me so much every time I see them?

It adds nothing. All they do is make the story "edgier" and "darker" in a way that's so- flat and dimensionless. There's nothing gained by saying "oh Nicky was s/@ ed" if anything you have taken so much from the actual story of Hello Neighbor and the themes of feeling helpless to the horrors you see going on around you. You're not taken seriously as a kid, especially after doing something others see as a slip up like Trinity or by not being the model student type like Nicky. You're young and can see through the lies of others easier but no one believes you.

Not only that, but the supernatural theming of Hello Neighbor is lost because of this. The Guest, The Thing, the Cult, everything is lost or disregarded all to make the series dark on a very surface level.

I'm tired of actual themeing and good writing getting thrown to the wayside for hcs that do nothing for victim representation and do nothing to add to the story and I say this with utter genuineness

If you believe in these p3d0 hcs and theories, do not interact with our work.

Kaydin and I are both VIOLENTLY disgusted by the things we saw written by that poster and by the comments agreeing with their sentiment and we don't want to be associated with the parts of the fandom that twist the series that way.
