Patriotic Accessories: Republic Day Badges and Flag Brooches
Celebrating national pride and honoring the country's independence are at the heart of India's Republic Day and Independence Day festivities. On these occasions, wearing symbols of the national flag, such as Republic Day badges, flag brooches, and tricolor sashes, is a popular way to express one’s patriotism. These accessories, blending tradition with style, bring people together to celebrate India's legacy.

Republic Day Badges: A Symbol of National Pride
Republic Day badges are small yet powerful emblems of India's sovereignty and democracy. Adorned with the national flag or patriotic motifs, they are worn with pride during Republic Day parades, school functions, and community events. These badges symbolize unity and respect for the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
Children and adults alike enjoy wearing these badges, which come in various designs, from simple circular shapes to intricately detailed ones. Many feature the Tricolor Badge design, displaying the saffron, white, and green stripes of the Indian flag, along with the blue Ashoka Chakra. These badges are often made from materials like metal, plastic, or fabric, ensuring durability and affordability.
Flag Brooches: A Stylish Patriotic Accessory
A Flag Brooch is a versatile and elegant accessory that adds a touch of sophistication to patriotic celebrations. Designed in the shape of the Indian flag or incorporating its colors, these brooches can be pinned to sarees, suits, or blazers. Their timeless appeal makes them a favorite among professionals, dignitaries, and fashion-conscious individuals attending Republic Day or Independence Day ceremonies.
For children, lightweight and colorful flag brooch badges are a popular choice, combining style with a sense of belonging to the nation's heritage. Schools often distribute these brooches during flag hoisting ceremonies, fostering a sense of pride and identity among young citizens.
Flag Sashes for Kids: Inspiring Patriotism in the Young
A Flag Sash For Kids is a creative way to involve children in patriotic celebrations. These sashes, typically made of fabric, feature the vibrant tricolor of the Indian flag and are often worn during cultural programs, parades, and fancy dress competitions.
By wearing these sashes, children not only display their patriotism but also connect with the history and significance of Republic Day and Independence Day. Parents and schools often encourage this practice to instill a sense of national pride in the younger generation.
Independence Day Flag Pins and Tricolor Accessories
Independence Day flag pins and batches are similar to Republic Day badges in their symbolism but are used to commemorate India’s freedom from colonial rule. These pins, often small and easy to wear, are ideal for people of all ages.
Whether it's a tricolor badge, a Brooch Flag, or a flag pin, these accessories serve as powerful reminders of the country's struggles and achievements. The designs range from simple flag-inspired shapes to elaborate patterns incorporating patriotic slogans or symbols like the Ashoka Chakra.
Conclusion
From Republic Day badges and flag brooches to tricolor sashes for kids, these accessories are a beautiful way to honor India’s national holidays. Wearing them not only reflects patriotism but also serves as a reminder of the values and unity that bind the nation together. These small yet meaningful items ensure that every individual, young or old, can participate in the celebration of India’s rich heritage.

Jewel of the day : Queen Camilla hosts the Maiden yachting crew at Clarence House.
Queen Camilla was wearing a Britannia brooch.
Britannia is the national personification of Britain as a helmeted female warrior holding a trident and shield.
Mounted in 18ct white gold, the brooch features a diamond encrusted Britannia figurine, alongside a ruby and sapphire Union Jack flag. It appears to be a replica of the cap badge worn by the Royal Norfolk Regiment, of which she’s Colonel in Chief.
What appears to be the same brooch recently sold online for £4,400.

Ways I think the Deepdean girls would accessorise their uniform (ignoring the fact that Deepdean would be really strict blah blah blah)
Also before I begin I would like to present a group hc that ALL of them wear little trans pin badges in support of Daisy like in Derry Girls they all wear gay pin badges for Claire. Half of the girls I hc as sapphic in some way but Daisy is the only trans one, so they show their support especially for her.
Daisy:
- doc martens with lesbian flag shoelaces ofc ofc
- fishnet tights except they're so ripped they barely even count as fishnets
- they're just bits of strings atp
- wears those school shorts and everyone expects them to look stupid as but they actually work really well?
- occasionally wears her PE skort as part of the everyday uniform
- Daisy is a BIG fan of the skort
- sews a magnifying glass attached to a bit of string into her blazer pocket
Hazel:
- teddy bear coat that she wears every season bar summer
- everyone's all 'oh summer is over Hazel's got her fluffy jacket on again'
- she wears these cute mary jane flats that Daisy says are 'terribly impractical'
- (Rose is always stealing them. Hazel is always immensely displeased when it's the end of August and she cannot find them for the new school year)
- wears those tartan scarves all through winter. And autumn. She gets cold easily
- not technically school uniform but on the weekends she'll just wear slippers everywhere, including dinner
Lavinia:
- leather jacket!!!
- doc martens also (she likes that she matches with Daisy)
- wears trousers, but her parents don't know and so she steals her brothers'
- they are too Long and she's a short butch so she cuffs them at the bottom
- (it looks really cool)
- has a vintage Deepdean tennis fleece from her mother
- uses her school tie as a belt. Teachers are furious but they can't doing anything about it as technically it IS in 'a suitable windsor knot'
Kitty:
- skirt rollerupper fr fr
- wears cute little hairclips and brooches (think it's canon she wants to wear those from Jolly Foul Play?)
- ties her tie in a bow
- never wears her blazer even in the midst of winter because it 'simply does not go with my jewellery 😤😤😤'
- wears lots of charm bracelets that she shares interchangeably with Beanie
- highest heels she can get away ofc (she's ALMOST as tall as Daisy in them)
Beanie:
- fluffy socks and rainbow tights!!!
- also has her tie in a bow to match Kitty
- sews colourful buttons onto her blazer (they're misshapen ones that didn't make the cut onto the production line from her dad's button factory)
- wears cute ribbons in her hair (her and Kitty spend ages in the Deepdean haberdashery)
- wears the most colourful cute cardigans she can get away with
- wears beanies. Obviously

How to Create Metal Lapel Pins
What is the Lapel Pins?
As the name suggests, a lapel pin is a small decorative or emblematic item worn on the lapel of clothing, typically made of metal, plastic, or other materials. It is compact and delicate, easily fixed on the lapel of a suit, coat, or shirt, adding a touch of elegance to personal attire. Unlike ordinary brooches, lapel pins are designed more compactly, making them particularly suitable for lapels. They do not affect the comfort of wearing while subtly showcasing the wearer’s personality and attitude.
The Lapel Pin is Functional
The functionality of lapel pins goes far beyond their decorative aspect. They can serve as silent declarations of political stance, such as wearing flag pins representing different political parties or social movements, quietly expressing support and a sense of belonging. They can also be badges of personal achievement, such as alumni lapel pins or company honor medals, highlighting the wearer’s identity and accomplishments. Additionally, in special commemorative events or activities, custom pins distributed as souvenirs not only enhance participants’ sense of belonging but also become lasting memory carriers.
1:Political Statements
Lapel pins often serve as silent declarations of political stance. For example, individuals may wear flag pins representing different political parties or social movements, quietly expressing their support and sense of belonging. This subtle form of expression allows wearers to convey their beliefs and affiliations without the need for words. During election seasons or significant political events, these pins become powerful symbols of solidarity and advocacy.
2:Badges of Personal Achievement
Lapel pins can also act as badges of personal achievement. Alumni lapel pins or company honor medals, for instance, highlight the wearer’s identity and accomplishments. These pins serve as tangible reminders of significant milestones and affiliations, whether it’s graduating from a prestigious institution or being recognized for professional excellence. Wearing such pins showcases one’s pride and connection to specific organizations or achievements.
3:Commemorative Souvenirs
In special commemorative events or activities, custom pins distributed as souvenirs enhance participants’ sense of belonging and become lasting memory carriers. These pins often feature unique designs that commemorate the event, creating a sense of unity among attendees. Whether it’s a charity run, a conference, or a cultural festival, these pins offer a tangible way to remember and celebrate shared experiences.
How to Create Lapel Pins
Creating a unique lapel pin involves a meticulous design and production process. Follow these steps to craft a lapel pin that tells your story:
1. Clarify the Design Concept
Begin by clarifying your design concept. Whether you aim to commemorate an important moment, express a specific emotion, or showcase a personal brand, having a clear design concept is essential. Think about the message or story you want your pin to convey.
2. Find a Professional Custom Service Provider
Next, find a professional custom service provider. These providers typically offer a one-stop service from design to finished product. Look for a reputable provider with experience in creating high-quality lapel pins.
3. Design Phase
During the design phase, you can submit hand-drawn sketches or use design software to create the desired pattern. Pay attention to details like color, shape, and size. Consider the aesthetics and functionality of your design. This is where you bring your concept to life visually.
4. Material Selection
Material selection is crucial in the production process. Metal materials such as zinc alloy, copper, or stainless steel are preferred for their durability and texture. Surface treatments like gold plating or silver plating can further enhance the lapel pin’s quality. Choose materials that align with your design and intended use.
5. Production Process
The production process involves several steps. First, mold making creates the basic shape of your pin. Die casting then forms the pin using your chosen metal. Coloring adds the desired hues, while polishing ensures a smooth, refined finish. Each step requires precision to bring out the best in your design.
6. Quality Checks
The Types of Lapel Pins
Varieties of lapel pins abound, distinguished by their designs, materials, and applications. Here are some common types:
1:Diverse Materials Offer Distinctive Touches
Metal Lapel Pins:Crafted from robust materials including zinc alloy, copper, or stainless steel, these pins boast intricate designs and superior finishes.
Plastic Lapel Pins:Light and budget-friendly.
Soft Enamel Pins:Characterized by depressions filled with vivid enamel hues, these pins create a multidimensional effect that enhances design intricacy.
2:Shapes That Define Style
Timeless Circles & Squares:Classic shapes that effortlessly adapt to diverse contexts, perfect for any occasion.
Sophisticated Ovals:Offering an elevated aesthetic, oval pins frequently grace formal gatherings or corporate branding efforts.
Unique Forms:Custom shapes infuse a sense of whimsy or distinction, making a memorable statement and distinguishing the wearer.
3:Pins Purposefully Designed
Memento Pins:Marking events, journeys, or milestones, these souvenirs are treasured keepsakes.
Identity Badges:Worn in professional settings, they denote membership or hierarchy.
Honorary Medals:Celebrating accomplishments, these prestigious pins acknowledge excellence.
Political Symbols:From flag pins to other emblems, they assert allegiance or patriotism, boldly communicating personal ideology.
Elevate Formality:At business conferences, awards nights, or black-tie events, select pins that resonate with the event’s elegance, using premium materials to accentuate your professionalism and respect for the gathering.
Personalize Casual Wear:Integrate custom pins that mirror your individuality, hobbies, or accomplishments into your daily wardrobe, adding a touch of individuality and sparking conversations.
Adorn Special Occasions:Tailor lapel pins for weddings, anniversaries, or cultural festivities, thoughtfully coordinating with the event theme to create a personalized accent and a sentimental keepsake for attendees.
4: Professional Settings
Lapel pins, intricate works of art worn with pride, serve as powerful tools for personal expression and brand recognition. More than mere accessories, they enrich outfits, infusing a touch of individuality and sophistication. Their versatility allows them to commemorate achievements, represent affiliations, or simply add a touch of flair. The benefits extend beyond aesthetics; lapel pins foster a sense of community, inspiring loyalty and connection among wearers.
At Hesank, we specialize in crafting these exquisite symbols, tailored to your unique vision. We have the ability to help you transform image into reality, and we are looking forward to hearing from you.

Hougghhh I’m back. And this time I’m bearing lil pride flag brooches. (aka badges, or pins?)
Just trying to pry myself outta this depressive funk by cbt-ing my ass, which in itself feels like cbt at times.
But yeah! BROOCH!
(Pronounciation guide: ‘brooch’ rhymes with ‘roach’.)
I forgot to include an image of the back here… :( (it’s your typical brooch pin, and some felt to add strength.)
These will eventually be on my store once I work out the best way to make these.

Mystery Club - Deleted Scenes
Quick Chat with Steve and Peggy Between the firsts chapters
"Have you visited Wanda, dear?"
His question makes you tense right away. Peggy, beside him, gives him a gentle elbow, muttering to him not to be so direct, but you force a smile.
"Not yet."
Steve sighs. "Honey, don't you think putting things off is going to make it harder?" He says, and it's your turn to sigh, looking away. "You two used to be so close, I don't understand what the problem is..."
"Dad, I have to go, okay?" You interrupt him. "I'll talk to you later."
As soon as the tablet is turned off, you grunt unhappy, twisting your body to bury your face in the pillows.
You have been in Westview for two whole weeks now, and it's ridiculous how every day, without exception, Wanda hasn't left your thoughts.
Queer Support Group - Not specified chapter
The place was more crowded than you expected when you showed up, and Yelena gave you an encouraging smile when she noticed your anxiety.
"Relax, everyone is surprisingly nice by Westview standards." She commented, leading the way to one of the tables.
It was one of the rehearsal rooms for the theater staff, but it was with several tables of food and flyers, and soft couches. On the stage were colorful LGBT+ flags, and you saw a half dozen brooches.
As soon as you and Yelena reached the table at the entrance, you recognized Darcy Lewis.
"Hey, Stark, good to see you here." She greeted you kindly, and you smiled half-heartedly. "Hey Yelena, long time no show."
The blonde shrugged. "I'm a very popular person." She jokes, getting a laugh from the other. "Is Professor Banner here already? I need to ask him about homework."
"He's backstage." Answers the one with glasses.
"Good. Take care of my friend's reception, please, Lewis?" Yelena asks, and as soon as Darcy nods, the blonde offers you a gentle squeeze on the shoulders and walks out to the back of the place.
Darcy stops propping her elbows on the table, and you notice the clipboard with the form she was hiding.
"You need to fill out the application for the club, Stark." Darcy announces, and you hesitate.
"Actually, I was just going to watch... I'm kind of out of time for new clubs. Is that a problem?"
"Of course not!" Darcy assures gently, pushing the sign-up sheet to another pad. "You still need your visitor's badge, though. Here. Put in your name and pronouns."
You blink in surprise at the colorful sticker she hands you along with a pen. You put your name on, and after the female pronouns are written, you hesitate.
"Um... is it okay if I correct it?" You ask clumsily. Darcy smiles kindly, taking another clean sticker from the pad and handing it to you.
"No problem, you can fix it as many times as you like, darling. Even on other visits." She informs you. You smile shyly and as soon as you finish writing, then you put the sticker on your blouse. "Sit wherever you like, today's topic is Gender Identity. Professor Sexton will be giving the lecture, and everyone is welcome to attend if they like."
You nod in farewell before going to look around for a place to sit.
Xu Xialing x Wanda Scene
A knock draws Wanda's attention away from your belongings. She finds it strange that you knock on your own door, rolling her eyes when she realizes that it is obviously a visitor.
It's a girl she doesn't know at the door, and Wanda instinctively adjusts her posture for the other girl's disappointed expression at finding her and not you.
"Can I help you?" Wanda inquires. The girl adjusts the weight of her feet, forcing a smile.
"Excuse me, is Y/N in? I wanted to ask her something."
"No, she's in class." Wanda retorts with narrowed eyes, noticing the girl hesitate about the clothes she's wearing - or the lack of pants. "Whatever you want ask her, I can pass on the message."
The girl clears her throat. "I was just going to invite her for a drink, but I think-"
"You were going to ask my girlfriend out? That's awkward." Wanda cuts meanly with a fake giggle. There are no official labels, but if this girl thinks she can show up and steal you away from her, she has something coming- "What's your name again?"
"I didn't know she had a girlfriend." The girl retorts ignoring Wanda's question. "Sorry, I'll-"
"I think you better." Wanda cuts in with a fake smile, waving her off into the hallway. The girl sighs in defeat, and turns away, leaving without saying anything more.
Wanda slams the door.
Wanda Piercings
You have a pile of homework piled up on the desk in front of you, and a weary sigh escapes your lips as the words begin to crumple in front of you.
Wanda, from her bed, notices immediately.
"Come here, sweetheart." She asks gently, but you don't take your eyes off the lesson.
"I have to finish this, Wands." You murmur to her, even though you have no idea what you are studying anymore.
"Take a break." She insists, putting away the cell phone where she was playing while you were studying. "Lie down here with me."
"But, Wands..."
"Now."
You sigh in defeat, dropping your pen and pencil and crawling back into bed. Wanda opens her arms and you lie in her lap, your head on her stomach. Her hands go directly to your hair, and you sigh in satisfaction.
"That's good." You murmur with your eyes closed, and she smiles warmly.
"I know, I'm really good with my hands." She jokes, getting a soft chuckle from you. Adjusting on the bed to be closer, you move up a little, and are surprised by the hardness you feel in your cheek. Opening your eyes, you move your head away to find the small elevation at the height of Wanda's boobs, who watches you with curiosity. "What's wrong, babe?"
Instead of answering, you move one of your hands into her blouse, ignoring the way her breath hitches gently to grope her breasts or rather the tip of them.
"Shit, Wands." You gasp affectedly, feeling the piercings. She gives an affected chuckle, following your desperation to pull her blouse out for a good look. Once you have it at face height, her full breasts with the two metal piercings on each hard nipple, you practically melt into the mattress. "Fuck me." You grunt, getting a soft moan as you move forward and your mouth closes over one of them.
"Baby, I thought you were tired..." Wanda tries, not resisting one bit when you gently push her back onto the mattress, your tongue playing with her piercing as your fingers play with the other, "Oh, that feels good." She gasps at the teasing, choking when you press one leg between theirs.
"Me? I don't know what you're talking about. I feel wide awake." You tease, offering a mischievous little smile that makes her giggle breathlessly. Your gaze returns to her breasts and the piercings, admiring them. "God, Wanda, that's so fucking sexy. How could you hide it for so long?"
She giggles shyly, one hand going up to her hair. "They're not very comfortable for you to sleep on."
"Don't mind me, wear these all the time." You retort, your eyes sparkling, getting a giggle in return. Wanda gives up talking when your mouth closes over them again.
Lorna Dane Scene - During the last Chapter
Y/N leaves the Mexican food line and meets Lorna outside the restaurant, smoking an almost-finished cigarette. As soon as they see each other, the older one offers a half-hearted smile, and the smaller one has half a second to react before the other turns around.
"Can I talk to you for a second?"
Y/N smiles again, switching the hand holding the food as she approaches. "Of course. You're Lorna Dane, right? Wanda's sister. We haven't been introduced yet, I'm Y/N Stark."
The brunette smiles slightly, and Y/N is impressed at the mild physical similarities between Erik, the twins, and her. "I know." She comments gently, putting out her cigarette to shake the other's hand. "I work here all week. I see her drive the truck with you in the passenger seat all the time, and this town is full of gossip."
Y/N nods in understanding, shifting the weight of her feet, ready to say goodbye. But Lorna clears her throat. "I hear you two are leaving." Declares the younger woman, which surprises Y/N, who stares at her. Lorna clarifies, "Erik mentioned."
"Oh, right." Y/N mutters. "Yes, we will, at the end of the school year. Wanda wants to go back to Sokovia, and reconnect with her mother's family and all that. And no offense, this town sucks."
Lorna giggles in agreement, and Y/N smiles before looking at her watch. "Look, I gotta go, see you around?"
"Wait." Lorna asks before Y/N leaves the restaurant area. She pulls out of her uniform pocket a pen and her order-taking notebook and writes something on a piece of paper that she then cuts out. Y/N takes the paper when it is handed to her. "I know she probably hates me, but I... Just, hand it to her? It would be nice if, I don't know, we at least got to know each other. If only to talk about what an asshole Erik is."
Y/N puts the paper away in her pocket and smiles at Lorna. "She doesn't hate you, Lorna, I assure you. It's just a tough situation. As you said, Erik is a prick, and after all that's happened, Wanda isn't ready to have another sibling." Y/N says sincerely, and when Lorna nods in understanding, half disappointed, the older one steps forward and places a hand on the smaller one's shoulder. "It doesn't mean she'll never be ready. I'll give her the number, and we'll leave Westview in the summer. And maybe, in a few months, or years, we'll come back here and you two can have coffee. Create a bond that won't be tainted by the drama of your parents."
Lorna smiles, nodding. "Thank you."
"Don't mention it."
