11. Which ship has my favorite first kiss?

Funny enough, the fast majority of my ships are crack ships that have never kissed on screen or on the page. That being said, there are some good smooches out there. The first one that comes to mind is Saphne’s scandalous garden kiss, but that might just be because I’m on a Bridgerton kick.

23. Which ship deserved better writing?

The obvious answer to this one is Jonerys. Jon and Dany had parallel arcs and were the literal Song of Ice and Fire. They deserved an epic love story and D&D shat on it and flipped us all the bird in the name of being clever and I will forever be bitter.

At least there are few media outlets like Vox which identify not acknowledgement of sexual assault in bridgerton. Same cannot be said about jonerys in got. I was surprised while claiming that joneyrs is dull and not making sense, no one in media identity the relationship becomes abusive not even creators of show.

there’s simply no market for that. all you could sell was think pieces on how dany dying set back women’s rights by 100 years. vox is a girl boss media outlet, they can’t turn on ultimate girl boss daenerys targaryen!!!

OH! SO EXCITED TO TALK ABOUT THIS! Thanks for asking.

First, Jonerys will always be my OTP. Yeah, the show ended like a burning pile of dog turds, but in fan fiction they're living happily ever after as they should have. The one good thing is that Kit's show is not going to be made which means they will not be able to profit off Daenerys Death anymore than the already do. Kit, find you another franchise where you can swing a sword. I'll watch it. I sat through Pompeii I can do anything.

Second, I love KANTHONY!!! I mean, the PINING! THE UST! LOVE IT! All the glances and touches and the "You are the bane of my existence and the object of my every desire" yes, sir! PLEASE. Love them. So glad we get to see them happy and in love this season. Just a boon, for sure.

Third, POLIN! Ok, hang on, let me get this out of the way first because it is a huge concern to me. I do not, under any circumstances, want to see Eloise join in with Cressida to make fun of Penelope. I get it, she's hurt, but please don't let her do that because she knows all of the sensitive points about Penelope, not even counting Lady Whistledown. She knows the things she's sensitive about and stands to truly hurt her. I had my former best friend do that to me and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Though, Nicola and Luke were both adamant about their love for Eloise. So, here's hoping.

POLIN - Alright, I'm going to say what I'm sure many other people are thinking -- Colin needs to grovel in apology for what he said. It's already difficult enough for Pen, with her introverted nature, to meet and talk to people. That has been clearly established. But to then have an influential man in the ton declare that he would never dream of courting her? I mean, talk about ruining a girl's chances all around.

There are little things throughout the trailer that fascinate me. One being that I think Penelope isn't going to arrive to one of the balls with her family but fake an illness and stay home. Perhaps after seeing Eloise with Cressida at a garden party earlier that day. Something sparks within her and causes her to no longer lie there, but throw open her wardrobe and we see her getting dressed. We do see Pen see them walk away together. So, I think she comes in late, dressed in a different gown, with a different look. Perhaps she asked Madam Delacroix to make it for her outside of her mother's knowledge. Because we see her standing at the top of a staircase in a red cape and then dramatically allowing it to fall to the ground. Everyone turns and looks. (My favorite thing, is if you look at the crowd, her brother-in-law, Mr. Finch is smiling at her - such a sweet, cheese loving boy!). But Cressida and Eloise look shook. Also, in this same scene we do see Francesca and Pen later talking. This is important to me as it is said in the books, Colin is very close with Franny, especially once he starts traveling and she moves to Scotland. Lady Danbury is obviously speaking with the Queen about the possible matches that could be made. So far, all the writings we've seen about this season show that Mister Dankworth is interested in marriage, but instead of being along the lines of Nigel Berbrook, he's more along the lines of Prince Friedrich. You might root for him if Colin wasn't already in the picture. I have a feeling that while his interest will spark jealousy in Colin, it will also spark confidence in Penelope. Which, judging by some of these awkward convos we see her having with some of the other men of the ton, she really needs. But the sight of them dancing beneath the moonlight in the ballroom, and their heads close together over a book, and Colin having to sit back and watch as a bystander, is too sweet for me to take. Colin is the sort you have to hit over the head and drag him to it. Someone else finding her desirable could spark that wait, what have I missed. We love our leading man, but baby are you dense. The scene where he's sitting back and the flame slowly lights, it's like Colin's love for Penelope. It doesn't happen all at once, but as it grows and glows it gets brighter. Their trope is she falls first, but he falls harder. And in the books, that 100% true. He's my wife this, my wife that. Once he realizes that he's in love with her, there is nothing else that matters to him BUT her.

wicked words | chapter 1: wicked thoughts

It’s HERE and it is 15k words!  Enjoy the first chapter, the second will post during the @snowxstormworld Jonerys Summer Event in June!  

She closed her eyes tight, reliving those early days. They had been fun, the three of them, and then…he’d gone away. He was there and then he wasn’t. The man had become a constant and her friend. Her best friend. And he wasn’t her husband.

When he came back, she was married to his cousin— practically his brother— with the title Countess, and they’d all fallen in a comfortable rhythm. He disappeared for months on end. Returned with stories of adventures in the far North, Dorne, and Essos. She spoke to him of things she didn’t even tell her husband.

And then her husband died.

And he became the Earl.

And she was a widow. A widow who was barren, who hadn’t had children in her short two-year marriage. Not even a miscarry. Just nothing.

She was so confused. Things had changed so much in recent months. She didn’t understand why. She knew something had awakened inside of her because he was there all the time. He had returned, announcing he would be staying put, and at the same time she decided she would remarry. She wanted a baby. Maybe she was barren, but she would have to find out some way.

“Bloody hell,” she murmured, pacing in the Countess’s chambers. They’d been hers for years. It sickened her to think now he was back with no plans to travel; she might need to vacate. Surely, he’d marry at some point, as much as she struggled with the idea of someone else in her place. How else could the Stark name carry on? Why was she even still there? She was a Dowager. A dowager at the ripe age of three and twenty.

The wedding ring had been off her hand for over a year now. He hadn’t commented. Nor had Missandei. She barely noticed it missing most days.

Dany blew out a hard breath and turned on her heel, padding barefoot across the cold, stone floor to the large, heavy wooden door beside her bed. She touched her fingers to lock and after a moment, she flicked it to the side. It made a godawful noise, a boom in the din, and she cringed, praying none of the servants heard.

She walked away from the door, her hands pinned to her hips, robe and nightdress flying around her legs. “Please don’t, please don’t,” she whispered.

The door hinges squeaked.

Well yeah but the show itself is about interracial couples so even though you used faceless images from the show, you’re still whitewashing the story. You could’ve just done a Jonerys Regency AU or included MoC Jon / WoC Daenerys instead

i’m wondering if you’ve read the books i’m basing the story on? JQ’s bridgerton series itself does not go into specifics regarding character races (and if anything, implied that they are all of english descent). simon in the duke and i is known for “icy blue eyes.” in the viscount who loved me, nothing is known of the family origin besides the fact that they’re from the countryside. edwina is described as being blond and blue eyed. so no, i dont think i’m “whitewashing” the story. and to end this note, i wont be entertaining asks regarding this either. if you have anything else to say just privately message me

wicked words | a Bridgerton AU | teaser

Um so, the fic that I was going to have for June is now almost 10k and we are NOWHERE near the end. So, before I disappear on a needed vacation, I’m going to post part one. Enjoy a bit of a teaser for chapter 1!

He narrowed his gaze on her, his lips twisting in a sly smile. "You make a habit of tracking my comings and goings?"

"It is easy when you disappear for years on end."

That had his smile breaking and his eyes shuttering. The gray turned inky black. He would be lost his head soon, she thought, her jaw tightening. It was hard to tell some days what could send him off into hours of brooding, could even spur him to take the next ship from White Harbor to Essos. He broke his gaze from her, turning the page in his book. "You still insist upon this ridiculous notion of marrying anyone but me?"

"Yes." They were back to that? Good Gods. She got up, brushing her hands over hers kirts. "If you'll be so kind, Lord Winterfell, I'd like to depart my personal study and go to the stables to collect my horse and go for a ride." She exagerated a curtsy, a simpering voice. "Might I do so with your permission? You seem to believe you have to give it on all matters of my decisions."

"Marriage is different!" He slammed the book shut, throwing it aside and got to his feet. He might not have been a tall man, but he was imposing, with his dark looks and darker demeanor. He had an 'aura', that's what her niece Rhaenys had said when she'd first met Jon.

It called to her.

She ignored it.

"How Jon, how is marriage different?"

There had been a strange tension in them since she made that announcement. It was a change. They had fallen into a nice normalcy. She ran the estates with him, he traveled as he needed for the estate, she lived in the Countess of Winterfell's rooms and sometimes visited her family in Dragonstone. He came with her from time to time, to visit family and friends who had moved down to Kings Landing. He liked Rhaegar; Rhaegar liked him. Then again, Rhaegar had always liked Jon. They had a lot in common. More than he had with Robb.

Stop thinking about Robb. Robb is dead and has been for two bloody years.

She squeezed her hands at her sides to steady her nerves. "I told you," she whispered, her gaze locked on his. He stared straight into her. Jon had that way about him. From the moment she met him. his eyes were so peculiar. They were almost as silver as her hair, but when he laughed they turned bright gray. Then they changed to the color of storm clouds when he was angry. Pure black when he was furious. Or frustrated.

Or...like now.

She didn't want to think what that might mean; although she knew.

He was aroused.

"Told me what?" he breathed, taking another step towards her. She chanced at look at his hands. He had them clenched, much like hers, but he would flex his right fingers when he was trying to find his thoughts. Like he was right now.

"I told you no, I won't marry you."

"I told you that we'd see about that."

"What are you going to do Jon? Throw me over your shoulder and carry me to the nearest godswood?" She caught a breath in her throat, his brows arching, a tiny smile tugging at his lips. She gasped. "You're not seriously considering it!?"

Did she want that?

Bloody seven hells she might.

No, no, no, no! He's Robb's cousin! He's practically his brother!

That was always what stood between them and it always would. He was Robb's brother by relation if not by blood. Jon would never betray him and she would not betray Robb. That's why she could scarcely believe his insistence that they marry. It was shocking to her, honestly.

"That's the funny thing about being in the North, Dany." He took another step, lifting his finger, wagging it knowingly and he smiled again. Now his eyes were positively coal colored. He husked, "our religion. We don't need septons or septs or even witnesses. We just need the gods and they...well they're all around us."

Seven hells! “You wouldn't," she threatened.

"Would I?"
