Something about Left to Suffer tapping in with us to review some of their Trap Metal collabs got me feeling like I'm on the right track and I'm doing a good job. Cuz this is my favorite f*cking band right now so you can imagine the goosebumps I got when these submissions came in.The first review I'm dropping is on Artificial Anatomy off their latest record titled Feral. This track features Kim Dracula, a rising star/trap metal artist out of Australia for those of you who don't know. Community IG Post:https://www.instagram.com/p/Cso7WmnSYfl/Review: https://www.trapmetal.net/.../left-to-suffer-features.../
Review:
Left to Suffer Features Hobartâs Kim Dracula on Artificial Anatomy off their Latest Record âFeralâ
Im so excited to review âArtificial Anatomyâ from the album Feral by Left To Suffer, featuring the captivating vocals of Kim Dracula. Im a fan of both Left To Suffer AND Kim Dracula so I was particularly excited to see this submission! From the very first few guitar chugs, wasting no time leading into the drop, âArtificial Anatomyâ captivates listeners with eerie melodies and intricate rhythms. Left To Sufferâs masterful musicianship shines brightly, creating a captivating morbid landscape that immerses the audience in a world of raw emotions and unyielding energy. Each instrument weaves together seamlessly, creating a rich and dynamic experience that perfectly complements the powerful vocals provided by Both Taylor Barber and Kim Dracula.
Kim Draculaâs vocals are nothing short of exceptional, adding a layer of intensity and Trap Metal spice to this already captivating track. With each lyric, he leaves an memorable mark in the listeners mind, evoking awe as listeners process Kim Draculaâs hyper-sinister rap verse / feature.
Taylorâs vocal delivery is unrelenting on this whole record, not just this song. Only rivaled by the depth of his own penmanship. And some of the lyrical themes he breaks into really strike a chord with me in regards to my own feelings on the subject of vengeance.
âArtificial Anatomyâ delves into thought-provoking themes that resonate deeply with the right audience. The poignant lyrics explore the complexities of abuse and standing up for yourself. Left To Sufferâs ability to craft such profound lyrics that strike a chord with the people who need to hear it most, not only showcases their artistry but also creates a connection with listeners on a deep and meaningful level. The bandâs vulnerability adds as strong sense of purpose to the music, making âArtificial Anatomyâ an emotionally charged masterpiece and Left To Suffer one of the greatest bands on the front line of the underground.
The sheer intensity and aggression in not just âArtificial Anatomyâ but a lot of their songs are unparalleled. Left To Suffer delivers a never ending onslaught of heavy breakdowns, blistering guitar riffs, thunderous drumming, and experimental frequencies that ignites a fire within me every time I tune in. The energy emanating from this track is infectious, leaving no choice but to surrender to its commanding presence and undeniable energy. Â It is this unrelenting force that sets Left To Suffer apart and makes âArtificial Anatomyâ a force to be reckoned with in the Trap Metal world.
âArtificial Anatomyâ by Left To Suffer featuring Kim Dracula is a tour de force in the realm of heavy alternative music. Left To Sufferâs ability to seamlessly blend musicality, emotional depth, and technical excellence sets them apart from their peers in metal. I give this song a rating of 10/10 âArtificial Anatomy,â out now on all platforms.

10 Worst Things About The Trump Presidency
Donald Trump left office with the lowest approval rating of any president ever. But some people now seem to be suffering from amnesia.
Let me jog your memory. Here are 10 Worst Things About the Trump Presidency â in no particular order.
#1. Trump fueled division and sparked a record uptick in hate crimes.
#2. Murder went way up under Trump. He presided over the largest ever single-year increase in homicides in 2020. A number of factors might have contributed to that, but a big one isâŚ
#3. Gun sales broke records under Trump, who has bragged about how he âdid nothingâ to restrict guns as president in spite ofâŚ
#4. Under Trump, America suffered more than 1,700 mass shootings.
#5. Trump said there were "very fine people" among the neo-Nazis in Charlottesville.
Iâm halfway to ten. If you think Iâm missing something big, leave it in the comments.
#6. Trump allied himself with the Proud Boys, a violent hate group who helped orchestrate the Jan 6 Capitol attack.
#7. Trumpâs not wrong when he saysâŚ
TRUMP: I got rid of Roe v. Wade.
It is entirely because of Trumpâs judicial appointments that 1 in 3 American women of childbearing age now lives in states with abortion bans.
#8. One of Trumpâs Supreme Court justices was Brett Kavanaugh, a man accused of sexual assault by multiple women.
#9. Trumpâs White House interfered in the FBIâs investigation of Brett Kavanaughâs alleged sexual assaults.
And now: #10. Trump has been convicted of committing 34 felonies while in office. The criminally false business filings he got convicted for in New York? All of them were committed while he was president.
Iâm sorry, did I say the 10 Worst Things About the Trump Presidency? I meant 15.
#11. Trumpâs failed pandemic response is estimated to have led to hundreds of thousands of needless deaths. By the time Trump left office, roughly 3,000 Americans were dying of covid every day. Thatâs a 9/11-scale mass casualty event every single day. How did Trump screw up so badly?
#12. Trumpâs White House discarded the pandemic response playbook that had been assembled by the Obama administration.
#13. Trump disbanded the National Security Councilâs pandemic response team.
#14. Trump repeatedly lied about the danger of covid, saying it was no worse than the flu or that it would go away on its own.
But behind closed doors, Trump admitted he knew covid was deadly.
#15. Trump promoted fake covid cures like hydroxychloroquine and even injecting people with disinfectants.
After Trumpâs âdisinfectantâ remarks, poison control centers received a spike in emergency calls.
Thatâs fifteen things. Should I keep going? Ok, Iâll keep going. The 20 Worst Things About the Trump Presidency.
#16. Trump presided over a net loss of 2.9 million American jobs â the worst recorded jobs numbers of any U.S. president in history.
#17. Trump profited off the presidency, making an estimated $160 million from foreign countries while he was president.
#18. Trump also billed the Secret Service over $1 million for the privilege of staying at his golf clubs and other properties while they protected him. Thatâs your money!
#19. Trump caused the longest government shutdown in U.S. history when he didnât get funding for his border wall, which he said Mexico was going to pay for. Â
#20. Under Trump, the national debt increased by about 40% â more than in any other four-year presidential term â largely because of his tax cuts for the rich and big corporations.
You didnât really think I was stopping at 20, did you? Weâre going to 25 â
#21. Trump separated more than 5,000 children from their parents at the border, with no plan to ever reunite them, putting babies in cages.
#22. The Muslim Ban. Yes, Trump really did try to ban Muslims from entering the country.
#23. Trump sparked international outrage by moving the American Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem while closing the U.S. mission to Palestine.
#24. Trump tasked his son-in-law Jared Kushner with drafting a potential Middle East âpeace planâ with zero Palestinian input.
#25. And finally, Trump recognized Israelâs occupation of the Goh-lahn Heights, which is considered illegal under international law.
So there you have it, folks: The 25 Worst â Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Did I mention the impeachments? Weâve got to do the impeachments. Letâs go to 30.
#26. Trump broke the law by trying to withhold nearly $400 million of U.S. aid for Ukraine in an effort to extort a personal political favor from Ukraineâs Pres. Zelensky. Trump wanted Zelensky to interfere in the 2020 election by announcing an investigation into the Bidens. Delaying this aid to Ukraine weakened Ukraine and strengthened Russia.
#27. Trump personally attacked and ruined the careers of everyone who stood in the way of his illegal Ukraine scheme, including Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch and Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman.
#28. To cover up the scheme, Trump ordered the White House and State Department to defy congressional subpoenas.
#29. For these reasons, on December 18, 2019, Trump became the third U.S. president to be impeached. He was charged with Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress.
#30. Even while he was being investigated for trying to get Ukraine to interfere in the U.S. election, Trump publicly called for China to interfere in the election.
So those are the 30 Worst Things â
Iâll go to 35.
#31. Long before Election Day, Trump started making false claims that the election would be rigged.
#32. After losing, Trump falsely claimed the election was stolen, even though his own inner circle, including his campaign manager, White House lawyers, and his own Justice Department and attorney general told him it was not.
#33. Trump kept telling his Big Lie even after more than 60 legal challenges to the election were struck down in court, many by Trump-appointed judges.
#34. Trump ordered the Department of Justice to falsely claim that the election âwas corrupt.â
#35. Trump and his allies used threats to pressure state leaders in Arizona and Georgia to falsify the election results.
We may go to 40.
#36. When none of the previous schemes worked, Trump and his allies produced fake electoral votes cast by fake electors in multiple swing states. His former White House chief of staff and Rudy Giuliani are among the many members of his inner circle who have been criminally indicted for this scheme.
#37. Trump tried to bully Vice President Pence into obstructing the certification of the election.
#38. Trump invited a mob to the Capitol on Jan 6 with his âbe there, will be wildâ tweet.
#39. Sworn testimony alleges that when Trump was warned that members of the crowd were carrying deadly weapons, he ordered security metal detectors to be taken down.
#40. Knowing the crowd had deadly weapons, he ordered them to go to the Capitol andâŚ
TRUMP: âŚfight like hell.
#41 â Yes, yes, I know, bear with me.
Trump betrayed his oath to defend the nation by doing nothing to stop the Jan 6 violence. Instead, according to witness testimony, he sat and watched TV for hours.
#42. On January 13, 2021, Trump became the only president ever to be impeached twice. This time he was charged with incitement of insurrection. It was a bipartisan vote.
#43. The majority of senators â 57 out of 100 â voted to convict Trump, including 7 Republican senators.
So thatâs the two impeachments and the Big Lie, but wait, we havenât dealt with Russia, right? So weâre going to 50.
#44. In a likely obstruction of justice, Trump pressured then FBI Director James Comey to stop the FBIâs investigation into Trumpâs National Security Adviser, Michael Flynn. This was documented in the Mueller report.
#45. When Comey didnât bend to Trumpâs will, Trump fired him.
#46. Trump tried to shut down the Mueller investigation by ordering White House Counsel Don McGann to fire Mueller. McGann refused because that would be criminal obstruction of justice.
#47. When news got out that Trump tried to fire Mueller, Trump repeatedly told McGann to lie â to Mueller, to press, to public â and even create a false document to conceal Trumpâs attempt to fire Mueller.
#48. Trump ordered his staff not to turn over emails showing Don Jr. had set up a meeting at Trump Tower before the 2016 election with representatives of the Russian government.
#49. Trump convinced Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about Trumpâs plans to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, and Cohen served prison time for lying to Congress.
#50. Trump was not charged for criminal obstruction of justice because itâs the Justice Departmentâs policy not to indict a sitting president, but more than a thousand former federal prosecutors who served under both Republicans and Democrats, signed a letter declaring there was more than enough evidence to prosecute Trump.
So those are the 50 Worst Things About the Trump Presidency. Now I could go onâŚ
And I will! The 75 Worst Things About the Trump Presidency.
#51. Trump said heâd hire only the best people, butâŚ
His campaign chair was convicted of multiple crimes.
So was one of his closest associates.
His deputy campaign chair pleaded guilty to crimes.
So did his personal lawyer
His National Security Adviser
The Chief Financial Officer of his business
A campaign foreign policy adviser
And one of his campaign fundraisers.
They all committed crimes, and Trump pardoned most of them.
#52. Trump said heâd drain the Washington swamp. But he appointed more billionaires, CEOs, and Wall Street moguls to his administration than any administration in history
#53. Trump intervened to get his son-in-law, Jared Kushner top-secret clearance after he was denied over concerns about foreign influence.
#54. Trump hosted a Russian Foreign Minister to the Oval Office, where Trump revealed top-secret intelligence.
Oh, and Trumpâs economic policies!
#55 Trump promised that the average American family would see a $4,000 pay raise because of his tax cuts for the wealthy and big corporations. Howâd that work out? Did you get a $4,000 raise? Of course not! Nobody did!
#56. Trump vowed to protect American jobs, but offshoring increased and manufacturing fell.
#57. Trump said he would fix Americaâs infrastructure, but it never happened. He announced so many failed âinfrastructure weeksâ they became a running joke.
#58. Trump said he would be âthe voiceâ of American workers, but he filled the National Labor Relations Board with anti-union flacks who made it harder for workers to unionize.
#59. Trumpâs Labor Department made it easier for bosses to get out of paying workers overtime, which cheated 8 million workers of extra pay.
#60. Trump repeatedly suggested he might serve more than two terms in violation of the Constitution â and continues to do so.
#61. Trump called Haiti and African nations âshitholeâ countries.
#62. Trump tried to terminate DACA, which protects immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. Luckily this was struck down by the courts.
#63. Trump called climate change a âhoax.â
#64. Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Agreement.
#65. Trump rolled back more than 100 environmental protections.
#66. Every budget Trump proposed included cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
#67. Trump tried (and failed) to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would have resulted in 20 million Americans losing insurance. And striking down the ACAâs protections for the roughly 130 million people with pre-existing conditions could have driven up their insurance premiums or led to a loss of coverage.
#68. Trump made it easier for employers to remove birth control coverage from insurance plans.
#69. By the end of Trumpâs term, the number of people lacking health insurance had risen by 3 million.
#70. Trump lied. Constantly. He made 30,573 false or misleading claims while president â an average of 21 a day, according to Washington Post fact-checkers.
#71. Trump allegedly took hundreds of classified documents on his way out of the White House, reportedly including nuclear secrets, which he then left unsecured in various parts of Mar-a-Lago, including a bathroom. He was even caught on tape showing them off to people.
#72. Trump seriously discussed the idea of nuking a hurricane.
#73. When Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, Trump delayed $20 billion of aid and allowed Puerto Rico to be without power for 181 days.
#74. Trump suggested withholding federal aid for California wildfire recovery and said the solution was to âcleanâ the âfloorsâ of the forest.
#75. Trump pulled out of the Iran deal, placing Iran on a path to developing nuclear weapons.
Honestly, thereâs so much more, from exchanging âlove lettersâ with North Koreaâs brutal dictator to publicly denigrating a Gold Star military widow and making her cry, to the way he attacked journalists, to late night tweet binges.
Look, I can understand why a lot of people want to block all of this out of their memories. But we cannot afford to forget just how terrible Trumpâs time in the White House was for this nation.
And we sure as hell canât afford to put him back there.

A federal jury on Friday convicted a former Kentucky police detective of using excessive force on Breonna Taylor during a botched 2020 drug raid that left her dead. The 12-member jury returned the late-night verdict after clearing Brett Hankison earlier in the evening on a charge that he used excessive force on Taylor's neighbours. It was the first conviction of a Louisville police officer who was involved in the deadly raid.

Scenarios/headcanons about how Brett Hand feels safe with her!
-đ
Stay With Me, I Donât Want You to Leave â.á
a/n â Sometimes I donât proofread my fics because the thought of reading my own writing back makes me want to die! WHYâS IT ALWAYS SOUND SO BAD??
warnings â Just fluff, like one sex joke, gender neutral reader, hurt/comfort.
summary â Scenarios/headcanons about how Brett Hand feels safe with you
â.á Brett is already desperate for everyone elseâs validation, so this would definitely be enhanced with his significant other.
â.á He would live to please you, so you need to be able to keep it real with him. Ground him, while still showing him love.
â.á He has so much crippling self doubt, daily affirmations from you would be very helpful.
â.á Telling him how cute he looks while you straighten his tie in the morning, and at the end of the day always finding something to compliment him about.
âI think you handled that situation earlier really well, by the way,â You looked out the car window. Brett seemed especially anxious, judging from the natural frown on his face and his deadly grip on the steering wheel. âReally?â He asked.
âYeah, I never know what to do when Reagan looses one of her science-y tools. Girls already uptight, but when she canât get her work done. Woofââ Your tone was light, he always felt more comfortable that way.
He smiled, looking up, âYeah, she really hates inconveniences. Thatâs why I always carry an extra crowbar on my person â it is very uncomfortable under a suit jacket!â
âWell, thatâs really considerate, baby.â His grip finally loosened, shoulders resting. âThanks,â his smile was soft.
â.á You giving your full attention to him any time would also make him feel very safe and loved.
â.á People obviously acknowledge him, but when your attention is payed in full it makes him feel so appreciated. (Also given his childhood).
â.á Having an understanding of his body language is also very important, because if heâs upset chances are we wonât tell because he doesnât wanna ruin your mood.
â.á So if his acting off, take his hand in yours, caress his knuckles, and subtly ask about what would help.
Ex. âDo you need anything?â âWe donât have to do anything later. I think thereâs a Friends marathon on later, howâs that sound?â
Watch him kinda loosen up and look at you with such appreciation. âYeah, yeah. That sounds good,â heâs almost sigh with relief.
â.á He doesnât feel like anything is expected of him in your relationship, he can just exist and be himself without having to put on a show.
( I could see him talking to Reagan about you, âThey actually like watching old 80s movies with meâ Have you ever met anyone willing to sit through a Van Dam movie? I only know two people: me and them! MAN, those movies suck.
âAnd the sex - its great! For like 15 years, I thought my only kink was fufilling other peoples kinks, turns out thereâs SO much more to me, Reagan!â )
â.á Brett really feels seen around you, like you actually make him feel cared about. And that is such a big part in his feeling safe with you.
a/n â btw, Reagan fic coming hopefully tonight. After that I wanna do something with Gigi, peg Brett, and then probably a Stanley Pines fic?

⌠He's going to be intimidated by your mere presence. Part of him is too scared to talk to you, but his happy-go-lucky self will try. He'll stutter and you can feel his nervous aura, but damn it he's going to get along with you. ⌠He won't. Stop. Talking. Nothing wrong with that, but he overshares his personal life bit by bit. Israeli diplomatic officials say Israel is currently in the "advanced stages of the negotiations" with Hamas for a ceasefire deal that would see the terror group release some of the hostages it is holding. Briefing military and diplomatic reporters, the officials say there is progress in the talks, which are being coordinated by mediator countries Qatar and Egypt and the outgoing and incoming US administrations, but stress that "the deal is not finalized." According to the Israeli officials, the progress in the negotiations comes as a result of the fall of the Iranian-led Axis in the Middle East, with the collapse of the Assad regime in Syria and the defeat of Hezbollah in Lebanon, which led to more pressure on Hamas. The officials also say that pressure and threats from incoming US President-elect Donald Trump have helped bring Hamas to the table, and they stress that Israel is working with both the Biden and Trump teams, including Biden envoy Brett McGurk and Trump official Steve Witkoff, and the administrations are also coordinating with each other. The officials say that the first stage of the potential deal would see Hamas releasing 33 "humanitarian" hostages â children, women, female soldiers, the elderly and the sick. The officials say that all of the 33 are officially considered by Israel to be alive, but that Jerusalem has not currently received any confirmation of their status. If the beginning of the first stage is carried out as stipulated, then on the 16th day of the deal coming into effect, Israel will begin negotiations on a second stage to free the remaining captives â male soldiers and men of military age â and the bodies of slain hostages, the officials say. They deny a report earlier today saying that the first Israeli hostages will only be released a week into the ceasefire taking effect. The officials say that Israel is holding onto significant "assets," including high-profile terrorists and territory in the Gaza Strip, to use as leverage in the second stage of negotiations to "ensure that every hostage is returned home." Under the complete ceasefire agreement, Israel will withdraw from most areas of the Gaza Strip and release Palestinian prisoners, including terrorists who carried out deadly attacks. High-profile "murderer" terrorists will not be released to the West Bank under the deal, the officials say, and nobody who took part in the October 7 Hamas onslaught will be freed. The officials say that IDF troops will remain in a new buffer zone inside Gaza, to better defend Israeli border communities. Israel will not completely withdraw from Gaza until the war's goals are achieved, among them the return of all the hostages. During the period between the two stages, Israel will continue to hold the Philadelphi Corridor along the Gaza-Egypt border, and there will be "security arrangements" for Palestinian civilians in southern Gaza seeking to return to the Strip's north, according to the officials.

Outsider No More by Useless-girl
Note:Â The Teen Wolf & Cyberpunk 2077 crossover you didnât know you needed! :D Obviously, Iâm a huge fan of this game (did many playthroughs already and still not finished) and I fell in love with its world, so at one point I started thinking about how Derek and Stiles would fit in it, what kind of characters they would be. Rating/category: explicit,Teen Wolf AU, Cyberpunk AU, Sterek, alternate universe, canon and non-canon elements, slash, M/M, aged up characters, no werewolves, human Stiles, orphan Stiles, netrunner Stiles, mercenary Stiles, streetkid Stiles, BAMF Stiles, tattooed Stiles, bottom Stiles, human Derek, top Derek, nomad Derek, clan leader Derek, hacking, betrayal, revenge, action, violence, cursing, blood, gore, found family, family feels, pack feels, getting together, falling in love, romance, love, emotions, wit, sarcasm, light Dom/sub, light BDSM, smut, handjob, blowjob, gay sex, rough sex
Summary: In the unforgiving underbelly of Night City the âsurvival of the fittestâ law applies more than anywhere else. After his fatherâs death, Stiles Stilinski has been working as a netrunner/mercenary to stay afloat. But when a gig goes wrong, he finds himself fleeing the city from more than one of the notorious and very deadly gangs of NC. Due to a favor, he soon ends up with the feared and respected Hale nomad clan. It is led by the charismatic but broody Derek Hale, who at first isnât too happy about letting a stranger into his close-knit family, but still provides shelter to Stiles, who in turn is not too keen on experiencing the nomad lifestyle. But with time both menâs perspective changes about things â and each other.

AP, via The Guardian:
A federal jury on Friday convicted a former Kentucky police detective of using excessive force on Breonna Taylor during a botched 2020 drug raid that left her dead. The 12-member jury returned the late-night verdict after clearing Brett Hankison earlier in the evening on a charge that he used excessive force on Taylorâs neighbors. Itâs the first conviction of a Louisville police officer who was involved at the scene of the deadly raid. Some members of the jury were in tears as the verdict was read around 9.30pm on Friday. They had earlier indicated to the judge in two separate messages that they were deadlocked on the charge of using excessive force on Taylor but chose to continue deliberating. The jury of six men and six women deliberated for more than 20 hours over three days. Hankison fired 10 shots into Taylorâs glass door and windows during the raid, but didnât hit anyone. Some shots flew into a next-door neighborâs adjoining apartment. A separate jury deadlocked on federal charges against Hankison last year, while in 2022, a jury acquitted Hankison on state charges of wanton endangerment.
[...] Neither of the officers who shot Taylor â former Sgt John Mattingly and former Det Myles Cosgrove â were charged in Taylorâs death. Federal and state prosecutors have said those officers were justified in returning fire, since Taylorâs boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, shot at them first.
[...] Hankison was one of four officers charged by the US Department of Justice in 2022 with violating Taylorâs civil rights. Thus far, those charges have yielded just one conviction: a plea deal from a former officer who was not at the raid and became a cooperating witness in another case.
Brett Hankison, one of the Louisville Metro PD officers involved in the killing of Breonna Taylor, was convicted of using excessive force.

I had to take a mental health break so i have no posted in a while!!!! But im back! Ready to catch up on work....
1st up I present to you this new EP by @jayfive666 titled Arsenal. This EP is SOLID! What a great way to kick the new wave into gear. This 4 piece weapon of mass destruction is so refreshing. A genuine take what Trap Metal really is. First off the beats on this EP all feature Trap elements PLUS Metal elements. If there is no metal in there, and its just someone screaming over a beat, its not really Trap Metal, but this release by JayFive 6 stands true to the Trap Metal wave. His lyrics are heavy and fast with a very âhoodâ tone to his lyricisms. Boasting a distinct style of Drill energy complimented by classic trap samples in between. Every sound, loud and up front, scratching every itch I have as a mutli genre listener. All 4 tracks on this EP are solid, none of theme slacking in the slightest. Id be keen to hear a full EP of these sounds specifically. Iâd also like to add that every feature on this release matched his energy and nobody fell behind or threw off the flow of the record. I give this EP a perfect 10 out of 10. Watch out, you better have JayFive 6 on your radar. Heâs clearly a force to be reckoned with. Arsenal, out now on all platforms! Check it out. Add it to your playlists. Leave him a comment and let him know what you think!

A handful of last-minute Christmas Eve passengers are boarding a flight from New York to Los Angeles that will change their lives foreverâŚif they survive. For flight attendant Teri Halloran (Lauren Holly), itâs just another plane ride from coast to coastâwith only one difference. This time theyâll be carrying two very special passengersâan armed robber named Stubbs (Brendan Gleeson) and a seductive serial killer called Ryan Weaver (Ray Liotta)âboth handcuffed, shackled and escorted by top security agents. But when Stubbs slaughters one of his escorts and manages to break free, the balance of power suddenly changes hands. Now the cool and intelligent psychopath Ryan Weaver controls the plane, and the lives of every passenger and flight attendant on it. With the massive 747 heading into a severe storm, the danger from outside is almost as deadly as the danger within. The storm could kill youâbut Weaver will make you suffer first.

something something episode 1 of lis2 being a condensed version of all lis1/lis2 starting where lis1 ends.
in the beginning we've got the dates--both games begin in october, with lis1 kicking off on Oct 28, a couple weeks after Storm Day on October 11. lis1 is (technically) contained within a week, while lis2 is spaced out over months on end, unfurling outward from a similar jumping off point as lis1.
both games begin with a powered character whose abilities are trigged by witnessing an act of deadly gun violence against a loved one. in both cases, this reaction in turn brings about further destruction (Daniel's immediate, but smaller scale, and Max's delayed, but much stronger) which shapes the rest of the game's narrative
in lis1, however, that violence is only the beginning of a much larger conspiracy of murder and manipulation, with the question of Chloe Price's shooting bleeding into the disappearance of Rachel Amber and a much larger conspiracy. In lis2, Esteban's death is a brutally simple case of all-American bigotry, kicked off by Brett Foster's casual racism/ableism and culminating in Officer Matthews' police brutality. The whole point is that there's no reason to make it a mystery, because shit like this happens every day.
and yet ep1 of lis2 is still a mystery, in its way, because Sean doesn't know why there was an explosion in Seattle, and Daniel doesn't know where his father is. Both boys pick up on signs that something is off, in a more restrained reflection of Chloe and Max's search for the truth throughout lis1, before both secrets comes out during the final confrontation in the motel room.
There are other visible parallels with Episode 5, like Sean/Max being restrained in a darkened office/Dark Room by a violent man with a brutal ideology and requiring help from an outside source (Daniel/David) to escape. And of course, there's the climatic storm (or "storm") at the end of the episode, with Daniel/Max violently losing control of their abilities with only Sean/Chloe to guide them through it.
unlike Chloe, Sean is able to calm Daniel's storm--but the Diaz brothers are still left with the worst of both lis1 endings, involving both the dead loved one who can't be rescued from Save Arcadia Bay and the destruction and exile left behind from Save Chloe Price. like Chloe and Max in the latter ending, they're seen riding into an unknown future together, overseen by animal guardians--the deer glimpsed in the ruins of Arcadia and the wolves in Sean's story.
the next four episode of lis2 provide an opportunity to answer all the questions we only get glimpses of in a Save Chloe Price reality--what it means to live on the run with havoc in your wake, what it means to really live with/love a person capable of such devastation, what it means to deal with the long-term effects of your own powerlessness in the face of such supernatural forces (which I really want to explore more later).
tl:dr ep1 of lis2 provides a spiritual recap of lis1 to expand and build upon everything discussed in that game in the process of becoming its own powerhouse. it's awesome to witness and I love it so much and I'm glad there are other people out there who do, too.
