I just love this lil scene right here.
When Endo started spouting crap about Sakura not belonging Furin, Suo got so pissed on Sakura's behalf he straight up went ahead and drop kicked that mf lmao (even tho he sensed how truly powerful endo was)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, the immediate moment afterwards, when Sakura saw how his friends were defending him, he felt touched by the gesture and reassured of his place among them.
So he went to join the fray and immediately pivoted over Suo's shoulder with a hand and aimed a flying kick at Endo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just loved how Sakura and Suo were in sync troughout this whole arc ❤️
Bonus :
Their unposken, instinctive reaction to protect Nirei (the sunshine baby 🥺) the moment a truly strong enemy shows up 😭

i know coming back right is kinda a silly idea but im thinking about it.
what if ranboo came back, and they came back right?
not physically, of course. god, he looks a decade older and has the exhaustion to match. their skin is marred, mostly scar tissue now, from the explosion, from sam, from the endless ocean of limbo, from crying. tubbo hates that they match now. he’s skinnier, too, as if death took everything but the skin and bones of him. they look more monstrous. theres a new streak of white in his hair. it reminds tubbo of wilbur. it reminds tommy of himself.
but he’s just as kind, he still holds their son with tenderness and sings songs of old to him. he still brushes tubbos hair away with a feather-light touch. they still help techno with the dogs. he still visits tommy. they still grow pink tulips.
their memory is... better. ranboo still loses his house keys and forgets where he was going or what they ate for lunch, but they have every scar on tommy memorized, he knows tubbo like the back of their hand, can recite historical events like a textbook, will never lose track of an important date again.
its all they had in limbo. he didnt want to forget for good.
he's still scared, if they're being honest. scared that their sacrifice was for nothing. scared that his family will be destroyed again and again for the sick pleasure of some fucking guy. scared that he'll be used again. scared that they'll hurt the people they care about again. but for now they're okay, they have a team and a family and a second chance.
ranboo comes back and theyre okay, honestly. they move into the mansion with his husband and child. he thanks techno again and again for saving his son. for saving him. techno doesnt accept the thanks, he should've done more. he talks with tommy about limbo, and about grief. they visit their own graves and they grieve. for one another, for themselves. it washes over them in waves. tubbo still waits for the other shoe to drop, for his husband or himself to turn into a maniac and blow the server to bits, but it doesnt come. it won't come. its not the same, it cant be, but its good for the first time in a long time.
maybe the other shoe doesn’t have to drop. maybe sometimes people can come back and maybe they can be okay.

I don’t even know how to articulate my thoughts about Akechi and Sumire in the third semester. Something about Akechi, whose entire life was dictated by grief over his mother and the resentment of her killer that he stopped living it, seeing Sumire doing the exact same, grieving her sister and resenting herself as her sisters killer. It’s no wonder he hates Maruki so much for how he treats her and feeds into her desire to live as Kasumi - when you boil it down to it, Maruki’s endorsement of her desire to live as Kasumi isn’t all that different to Shido playing along with Akechi’s desire for revenge, both of them letting the vulnerable child think that they had an ounce of control in their decision.
He protects her every chance he can without ever being condescending to her but it still comes across patronising because she’s standing next to Joker, whose competence he never once doubts. He asks her if she’s okay, if she can handle it, and then turns to Joker and says don’t let me down. He checks in with her constantly and he realises what the issue is with her identity but never presses it so she can figure it out herself forgetting that if it wasn’t for the right circumstances and the confrontation with Maruki that she could never have realised or come to terms with it, just as he never realised that he was never going to get his revenge on Shido.
And in the middle of that you have a guy who has just watched all of his friends abandon him for a better, happier life with their old friends or old family and despite everything they’ve done together he realised he doesn’t really know them all. Not Kasumi, who was actually Sumire, not Akechi, who was lying to him the whole time they were friends (but who he suddenly has to trust completely because he has no other choice, who is STILL lying to him by never mentioning that he’s going to die soon) and not any of the Phantom Thieves, stop having time for him the moment they have other friends.
Maruki managed to make a reality that was completely isolating for Joker, gave him Akechi as a consolation prize for taking everyone else from him (exaggerating for effect: I know he and akechi wished for each other. The point remains that this was the only option Akira has for company after everyone else is given their friends or family back).
Does this make any sense. Can anyone hear me.

Feng Xin and Mu Qing
feng xin and mu qing who spent their teenage years together, in constant proximity, because they were both close to someone else
feng xin and mu qing watching their nation collapse, their home ruined, their kingdom dissapear
feng xin and mu qing losing their friend, first losing him emotionally by not being able to understand what's going on and then literally losing him as he vanished for 800 years
feng xin and mu qing both ascending to godhood, constantly seeing each other as they co-ruled(?) the same area
feng xin who never wanted to become a god, who didn't know what he was if he isn't a bodyguard to the royal family, who was abandoned by the woman he loved, never forgiving himself for leaving and losing xie lian
mu qing who always wanted to ascend, who knew he had the potential to but was constantly overshadowed and wanted to desperately to prove he was not a servant to be discarded, who still never forgave himself for leaving when his friends needed him. for coming back too late
and so they take it out on each other. 800 years of pent up frustration, guilt and misery and they take it out on each other because really, who else can they take it out on? who else knows xie lian? who else rememberes xianle and its' days of glory?
yes, they're constantly at each others throats. yes, they dislike each other.
no, they don't hate each other. how can they? they're all each other has and it's been that way for 800 years
can you really hate someone when he's the only contsant thing in your long immortal life as the world shifts around you? happy and unpleasant memories, they're the only ones who know. the only ones who remember
is this anything

Any particular stories behind why your brain rot trio is your brain rot trio or did it just happen to turn out that way?
That's a very good question, Zac! My stories and reasonings ended up being much longer than expected, so I put a TL:DR on the very bottom of this post.
Without further ado, here's how my Brain Rot Trio came to be, starting with...
Donkey Kong
I had an SNES growing up, and the Donkey Kong Country trilogy were my favourite games on the system. I was too young to understand how big of a deal the pre-rendered graphics were for the time. I just enjoyed them because they were fun! I also enjoyed playing Donkey Kong 64 and Diddy Kong Racing at my cousin's house, even if I never got very far in the former.
One day, we gave our SNES and games away to some kids who didn't have a game console since another family gave us their Nintendo 64 and games. So in the late 2000s, I replayed the DKC trilogy, and fell in love with them again.
This was really good timing, as Donkey Kong Country Returns was announced a few years later. Needless to say, I was super excited! In fact, that game is what got me to buy a Nintendo Wii! History would repeat for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and the Wii U.
So yeah, I hold the Donkey Kong Country series, and by extension the Donkey Kong series in general, very dearly to me to this day. One day, we'll get that new DK game... one day...
Crazy Frog
One day at primary/elementary school, a friend of mine found a funny website called "The Insanity Test", where you had to stare at an image of an F1 racing car while a distinct "Beh ding ding ding di-di-ding ding bing pscht daaarhm" noise played. The text said that if you laughed at it, you were apparently insane. (and yes, I laughed)
So later that year (I think?) when I heard the sound on TV from another room, I went to see what it was: An ad for the Crazy Frog ringtone. I found the commercials and the character funny. According to my friends, I could do a pretty good impression of the noise too!
When Crazy Frog mania was at it's peak, I was really excited for the Crazy Frog's first single, Axel F. I remember my Dad picking me up from school one day, and when I entered the car, I was greeted by the Axel F CD on the car dashboard! I got to play it on the stereo too, much to the irritation of my brother. Hehehe.
As with all fads, Crazy Frog's fame faded, and people moved on. But for some reason, whether it was the catchy music, the fun music videos, or just plain nostalgia, I continued to like the character, and slowly built up a collection of CDs and merchandise over the years.
And whereas many people feared Crazy Frog's comeback in 2021, I was one of the few who was happy to see the annoying amphibian return.
Shantae
One day, I was looking through the Wii U eshop for some games to buy, and I happened across a game with a cute anime-esque aesthetic: Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. The metroidvania gameplay looked like something I would enjoy, so I bought that and the previous Shantae game, Risky's Revenge.
Sure enough, they had fun gameplay, great music and amusing writing. Trying a new franchise really payed off here! But I think I fully became a fan of the series with Half-Genie Hero and Seven Sirens. I got a greater appreciation of the endearing characters and quirky humour.
Shantae herself is such an endearingly dorky protagonist (her pirate talk in Pirate's Curse is absolutely adorable), and it's amusing to see her reactions to the wackier events throughout the games. I also like that while she's occasionally hot-headed, she's a legitimately caring and selfless hero who's always determined to save the day.
Phew! Sorry that ended up being a longer response I expected!
TL:DR:
I loved the Donkey Kong Country games as a kid and got back into them in the late 2000s.
I was a fan of Crazy Frog during his heyday, but I remained a fan because of the catchy music and fun music videos.
I discovered the 2nd and 3rd Shantae games on the Wii U eShop, and eventually became a fan of the franchise by the 4th and 5th installments.
