Something i was thinking about re: lk and oro
The way that lost kin slashes their sword around is pretty haphazard and less "refined" than other sword weilders in the game. Which is probably supposed to be because theyre a "zombie" that's filled with infection
But also
We know that sly says oro weilds his nail like a club. And the way lk weilds their sword so haphazardly is pretty club-like to me ngl

As another blog who accidentally got following for funny jokes and content creator by god you summarized how creating content feels on Tumblr nowadays. Like,
No one interacts but at the same time they'll complain that there's no updates, they'll complain that you disappeared but even if you post something no one interacts with. They treat as if people who post things about fandom are just there to be some kind of machine will post something to make them laugh and then reblog in silence.
There's no feedback, there's no community, and it feels weird like some kind of big brother. Where you spend your time and energy making something and then people throw you a like and you're just like blind??? 'Do they still like it?' 'am I doing it wrong?' 'did I lose the flow?' But nope. It seems like every person who makes something in this plataforma feels a different variation of that. And feels so weird talking about it as if you're 'seeking attention' and being too 'hungry' about it. But what are we supposed to do...? Just put our heart and souls by a grand majority that won't take a second to say something and just like and maybe reblog as if you're some advertisement?
Feels weird. I am sorry you feel like that too Sci, your ask-blog is great and you spent a lot of energy co-creating with people and using your creativity. I don't blame you for feeling demotivated. That's a weird era to be in where people don't know how to differentiate that there's someone behind a blog and nor a major corporation that will put something they're interacting or not. Very weird.
it's so very universal, i've seen it all the places, everywhere. i know it's not just a me thing... it's kind of honestly just the way the world operates now. running the blog really did used to give me such an excited feeling to be building this story with other people who were invested and everyone had a hand in pushing wade and peter into all kinds of directions and it was so, so gratifying. and when i left i was still craving that interaction - i wanted to create an interactive instagram account, but i kind of figured it wouldn't work, because the platform just isn't good for it.
something that's largely been absent from my life is community, y'know. it's so difficult to find it, in the city. and i kind of found it through the blog. but online communities feel like something that's dying too. nobody wants to be communal. i've had so many interactions where people are taken aback that i'm just some dumb, tired little human. i'm a tired human who made spider-man comics because it got me friends on the internet. i don't make money doing this. i do it for friends. i... sighs. i miss so many people that used to be around but they're not here anymore. i miss how it used to feel. i don't think i can get it back. i don't know where i can look now, but i don't think i'm going to find whatever i'm looking for here. i guess it's like - i know i have to leave the city because the city makes me feel small and lonely. and maybe i have to leave the internet too. it makes me feel small and lonely.

k-pop idol AU anon here ˭̡̞(◞⁎˃ᆺ˂)◞*✰ i'm glad you liked my idea!! ♡ and do not worry about intruding or anything like that i love & value your comments!!
here's what i'm thinking for inhun... we need to go back to the 90's for this one.   ☾  .𖥔 ݁ ˖༘⋆𐦍⊹₊ ⋆。˚
inho got an opportunity from a friend of his great uncle (and that friend is none other than the music executive of a famous record label in seoul, oh ilnam), leaving university behind and decided to pursue a music career instead. he didn't want a monotonous life as some office worker anyways.
people are in love with his looks, his music, his bad boy persona... wearing cutoff shirts and the like (SUN'S OUT GUN'S OUT ! 😤). as to which genre, that's up to you guys to decide! but his albums are selling like crazy and his songs are always up top on the charts, never second place. until...
oh ilnam scouted for new talents but to no avail. there is money to be made here! luckily for him, ilnam struck gold when he felt hungry and wanted some comfort food like tteokbokki. because then he saw the most prettiest and beautiful young man at a stall, helping his friend's mom with the orders. the young man is a bit clumsy (he almost dropped ilnam's soju bottle on the ground). his name is seong gihun. a little reserved, sweet eyes, beautiful lithe build. oh, what an angel. a smile that is worth more than diamonds and gold in the earth. KA-CHING! that's the sound of money pouring in!ilnam asked gihun if he can sing. "ah, well, i love going out for karaoke but i wouldn't say i'm excellent at it..." but that's not a problem, nothing a couple of vocal lessons that can't fix!
the next day gihun found himself in the studio along with ilnam and other important figures to brainstorm how to mold him into a superstar. everyone is complimenting his physique and gorgeous face, making gihun blush and play with the hem of shirt. one thing lead to another, and looks like the industry has another rising starlet!
i really love the sound of 90's R&B, so i think i'll choose this genre for gihun (づ˶•༝•˶)づ♡ what started out as playful, captivating, funky songs developed into very foxy, sultry, and smooth. gihun evolved as an artist and got out of his shell, becoming more sure of himself, going with concepts that he likes and what he feels like fits the most. and that is by being an artist portraying himself as both innocent little kitty and a sexy siren. he experiments with outfit too! does not matter if it's a skirt or jeans, clothes are clothes and he is here to look CUN-TY! women, men, no matter who - everyone wants gihun (*ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)ꕤ*
i think it would be funny if inho never got to meet gihun immediately because he himself is busy recording, touring, practicing choreo, attending award shows, etc. but he does notice there is competition around. on the top 10 charts for songs or album sales they are so close to each other. then he sees gihun on a cover of playboy ("i know he's not a girl, but he's pretty like the rest of 'em! believe me, those magazines will be flying off the shelves!" said gihun's manager. and she was RIGHT). inho's brain short circuits but he quickly snaps out of it has to focus on performing live on a late night show. fuck, gihun was attractive. beautiful curves and features. he needs to know more about him. he needs to have him.
inho and gihun eventually meet at a staff party, celebrating record-breaking profits. inho finds out that gihun might be older and slightly taller than, but he can wrap his strong arms around gihun's tiny waist and lift him up easily. they get to know each other very well, and ilnam sees the chemistry between both singers. he gets this brilliant idea - those two should tour together.
and it's a big success, there is an entire crowd of screaming fans waiting for them to perform solo and together. i'd imagine inho and gihun spending time with each other during the tour would make them fall head over heels in love. not just as artists, but for who they are (,,♡ᵕ♡,,) as people, as one nerdy guy interested in crime/detective books and a clumsy fellow who took in stray cats until his mother scolded him. amidst the singing and showbusiness, they found each other (╥﹏╥)💜💜💜
believe me when i tell you inhun would fuck like rabbits because they're two young men and gihun's hips are made to be gripped at, but because they're two high demand artists and under strict regiments they're not able to fully savor their relationship... i'd imagine there would be many fanservice moments on stage though. like inho holding gihun's waist or giving him a kiss ln the neck. making the audience go WILD. ilnam isn't opposed to this because money but he did tell them to keep it at that and don't go beyond unless they want his higher ups to chew him out (so PDA is not okay but making gihun pose for playboy? alright *rolls eyes*)
PART 2 COMING SOON, HWAIT FOR ME UNNIE~ ٩(^ᗜ^ )و ´-
omggg 🥹🥹😩😩💖 this is incredible!!
i think inho could rap! that way when they are together the music flows since rap and r&b go great together!
maybe, gihun's manager could be geumja? and even when she has a baby boy she continues working and brings little yongsik with her! years later, he debuts in a boygroup!
and if inho raps then u know he was thanos' inspiration 🫶
omg inhun not being able to share their love with the world 😭😭 sleazy record producers working them like dogs and their only refuge is each other 💖
YES PLEASE GIVE ME ALL OF IT!!!😫😤

does it happen to anyone else that you're writing and the words are flowing and you're getting ideas for what's next and it's FUN and you're even getting the occasional line that makes you go Damn Im Good but also, at the same time, you're being plagued by this anxiety like you want this to be over stat, your muscle memory urging you to find a distraction. what gives. im also Just getting back into my writing habit so im very very rusty and end up tapping out around 800 words even if i don't Have to Stop or feel like i don't know what comes next. is it just a subconscious fear or being Bad or like lack of practice similar to how you have to build a reading habit if your brain is hijacked by phone feelgood chemicals. actually it might be that. alphasmart doesn't go ka-ching! with Internet Approval Points. anyway anyone relates

Ah! Hello I've been reading your stuff (and it's pretty damn good, I've been enjoying it a lot) and I saw something last night where Tobi was your sleep paralysis demon. It was so goofy I thought I'd share, I was also thinking you could make a like a little one shot with this idea or like a little skit
Tobi is your sleep paralysis demon! Why not, let’s do it!
You’re what the kids call “edgy”. You got a Tor browser, went on the dark web, and started looking for sites to fuck your shit up. Conspiracy theories, mostly, with some epilepsy-enducing graphics-- all the “standard” sites you’d find on any list of websites to never under any circumstances visit. It was just about to get boring when you click on a hyperlink that leads to the following statement:
If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em!
...Okay, that’s got you curious.
Turns out, it’s not too outrageous of an idea, as far as suggestions on the “real sleep paralysis demons” blog go. A bit of you is tantalized, even; you’re on this site with a small smidgen of hope that maybe, just maybe, there might be some legitimate advice that could help you dispel your own waking nightmares halfway through peaceful sleep. Gist of it is simple: get another demon to beat YOUR demon!
….
…..
That’s so stupid that it might work!
You print out the suggested incantation and sit up in bed that night, reading it aloud and putting your heart and soul into it. Let’s be honest, though: you’re edgy but not that edgy. Not to the point of delusion. The creature you see during sleep paralysis is a figment of the mind and exists in the mind alone. Demons aren’t real, you aren’t LITERALLY going to summon one to knock the lights out of the thing you see at night.
...But if you want something enough, maybe it’ll trick your brain chemistry into solving its own problem.
Man in the mask
Slay my nightmare
Man in the mask
Save my dreams
Man in the mask
Hold my life tender
Man in the mask
Come down to me
A deep breath in...out. Alright. Let’s see if that tricked the monkey that controls your brain into pulling the lever that actually lets you sleep through the fucking night. You shred the computer paper in half, lay down your head, and reach for the chain that turns your light off.
Ch-ching, the switch goes.
Your heart is racing too much. Dammit, just the acknowledgment of your visions has put your anxiety on a fast track to staying up all night. Jesus fucking Christ! Knowing there’s no saving you tonight, you sit up once again and turn back on the light. Maybe you can read a book or make a cup of tea-- no who are you kidding, you’re just gonna stare at your phone.
Ch-ching.
The light turns on and there is a man in your room.
You scream.
He screams.
You’re both screaming.
“WHO ARE YOU!”
“Who are YOU!” he shouts back, voice high pitched and finger pointed right at you. It’s hard for your eyes to make sense of what you see… Orange?! Orange and black…?!
“I LIVE HERE!”
“Oh!” The person next to your bed perks up and calms down, as if it makes total sense. “I guess that’s right! My name is-- OOF!”
You hit him with your pillow as hard as you can. The man flails his arms forward like an inflatable at a car dealership.
“Y/N, STOP! Ouch!”
You hit him again, leaning into it this time. And again, as well, he says the magic word:
“Y/N!”
...You stop mid swing. “How. H-. How do you know my name?! Who the HELL--?!”
“You summoned me!”
“What!”
“You!” he says, raising both gloved hands and pointing index fingers at said ‘you.’ “Summoned!” He uses the fingers to mime drawing a circle on the ground. “Me!” And finally points thumbs back to his face. It’s only now, of course, you see he lacks exactly that-- a face. What lies instead is a bright orange spiral that ends in a black hole. You squint so hard you’ll have headaches for weeks.
“That-- that’s not--… What?!”
“Man, for the host of the party, you sure are bad at keeping track of your guest list!”
That kind of talk brings you right back to reality. “GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!”
“Allllright!” the shadow singsongs, raising his palms and shaking his head as if to symbol he’s giving up. “But you’ll miss me when I’m gone!”
“What the fuck are you—”
“Click!”
Chain for the light is pulled down. Ch-ching!
“SHIT!”
Ch-ching!
Light on.
He is gone.
The summoning worked, all in all. You don’t sleep that night. In fact, your eyes burn as you try not to blink at all. Police find no evidence of a break in once you get the nerve to call them. No broken windows, door is fine...not even an attempt to crawl through the chimney.
It’s like he never existed.
...You’ve made a hell of a convoluted situation to live with, brain.

LAST POLL OF ROUND 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda
Vivien Leigh (Gone with the Wind, A Streetcar Named Desire)—Leigh is exceptionally beautiful. To quote Garson Kanin, Leigh was "a stunner whose ravishing beauty often tended to obscure her staggering achievements as an actress. Great beauties are infrequently great actresses—simply because they don't need to be. Vivien was different; ambitious, persevering, serious, often inspired." She was an actor's actor, one of those big old-school theatre dames, full of drama and temper.
Lee Ya-Ching (A Poet From the Sea, Mulan Joins the Army)—actress and aviatrix! pioneer. legend. i see a vintage lady on a plane and brain goes brr
This is round 2 of the tournament. All other polls in this bracket can be found here. Please reblog with further support of your beloved hot sexy vintage woman.

Try not to get caught up in debates about spirituality and religion. All words are like fingers pointing to the moon. Align with the luminous, wise and loving silence that is within you (and everyone) that the world's spiritual traditions are pointing to...
"The 10,000 things rise and fall while the Self watches their return. They grow and flourish and then return to the Source. Returning to the Source is stillness, which is the way of nature." ~Lao Tsu, Tao Te Ching
"Liberation is to know yourself as Awareness alone― the Witness of these. Abide in Awareness with no illusion of person. You will be instantly free and at peace. You are pure Consciousness― the substance of the Universe, the Witness of all things. Your only bondage is not seeing This. A single understanding: I am the One Awareness, consumes all suffering in the fire of an instant. The Universe exists within you. Desire nothing. You are Consciousness.." ~The Ashtavakra Gita
"The Buddha, and all sentient beings, are nothing but expressions of the One Mind. There is nothing else." ―Huang Po
"Until we realize the Unity of Life, we live in fear. For the seeker who knows not the Self, his separateness becomes fear itself. When one realizes the Self, in whom All Life is One, changeless, nameless, formless, then one fears no more." ―Taittiriya Upanishad
“If you want to find the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration. Your brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration. I have not penetrated into the secrets of this core, but I know that it exists.” ―Nikola Tesla

10 Ways to Cultivate Mindfulness and Presence
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in the moment, aware of where we are and what we're doing, without becoming overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. In an age where distractions abound, this ancient practice has been embraced not just by Buddhists and spiritual leaders but also by psychologists and neuroscientists as a powerful tool for improving mental clarity, emotional well-being, and overall life satisfaction.
Here are 10 guiding principles for cultivating mindfulness and presence, drawing from both Eastern philosophy and modern psychology.
1. Live in the Now
The essence of mindfulness is embracing the present moment without letting the past or future take over. As Lao Tzu reminds us, "If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present."
2. Bring Awareness to Simple Tasks
Whether you’re folding laundry or washing dishes, there is an opportunity to practice mindfulness in everyday activities. Thich Nhat Hanh beautifully puts it: "Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves."
3. Accept Without Judgment
Acceptance is the first step in releasing unnecessary tension. As Tara Brach wrote, "The boundary to what we can accept is the boundary to our freedom."
4. Find Flow in What You Do
When you are fully immersed in what you love, distractions fade away. Mihály Csíkszentmihályi describes this state as flow: "The best moments in our lives are not the passive, receptive, relaxing times... but the ones in which we are fully immersed."
5. Quiet the Mind Through Simplicity
Slowing down is key to mindfulness. As Lao Tzu said, "I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion."
6. Let Go of Perfectionism
Being mindful allows for imperfections. Louise Hay captures this idea, saying, "Remember, you have been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens."
7. Focus on Breathing
The breath is always with us, providing an anchor to the present moment. Thich Nhat Hanh encourages: "Feelings come and go like clouds in a windy sky. Conscious breathing is my anchor."
8. Allow the Mind to Rest
Even in times of busyness, it’s essential to make room for stillness. Daniel Siegel explains how this pause creates mindful awareness: "When you stop to truly see the world, you awaken."
9. Be Open to Change
Embracing change is part of mindfulness, as it allows us to flow with life. Lao Tzu advises: "Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow."
10. Build Awareness through Practice
Mindfulness isn’t a one-time achievement; it grows with regular practice. Thich Nhat Hanh reminds us: "Mindfulness is the miracle by which we master and restore ourselves."
Mindfulness is a lifelong practice that encourages us to live fully in each moment. Whether it's through focusing on your breath or embracing the impermanence of life, mindfulness helps foster inner peace, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being. Which of these principles resonate most with you, and how do you plan to incorporate mindfulness into your daily life?
