Working on my next oneshot much longer than the previous one. This time the mc is Matsu-chan.

Tittle: One More Than Healthy Outside of Work Obsession

Basic idea:

I knew i was pretty out of it when i wrote the flashback part yesterday but to this extent... I needed to added like the same amount of text to it to make it at least barely up to par. Those fun descriptions were the things i was missing for sure!

A short preview of the beginning of the chapter:

He really should have excepted it. One day, ending up in a dim lit alley down the gutter bleeding out on the cold concentrate floor shot by one of those damned criminals. It could have been worse - he tried to placate himself - you could have been gutted, maimed or exploded to tiny unrecognizable pieces like that damned bastard who never bothered to wear his protection gear properly. But.. not everything end up like your expectations would call for. No, finding out about a huge criminal syndicate by chance definitely wasn't in his day-to-day plans. Dealing with that one accursed bomber was good enough of a pass-time of an outside of work obsession.

Luke with a 'Older sibling' figure depending of where he met them

In Camp Half-Blood...

• He was the new kid and you were the one to make the tour to him

• After all the things that happened he just wanted Annabeth to be safe, and the memory of Thalia to be forever in their hearts

• While you were doing the tour he just zoned out, the things his mom suffered, the things he suffered, all because of that greddy Gods

• After the tour you got to him and you two talked across the strawberry field

• You were one of the oldest at the camp at the time, and also the sword fighting teacher at camp

• After he got there you had chosen him and Annabeth for your team in Capture the Flag, wich he was gratefull, the kids from the other team kinda freaked him out

• And you protected him and Annie all the game and with that he got the flag

• You did a little party afterwards with your team, including them

• After that Luke became more relaxed with you,

• And some weeks later you started teaching him and doing spars, you also helped Annie a bit with her fighting skills

• When Luke was feeling sad you would come with some plate of cookies and watch one of Chiron old dvd's

• It wasn't perfect but Luke loved it

• You three would climb the lava wall and see who got first, Annabeth always writing the results, wich you always won

• After some years, you had to go to college, but of course you would still visit

• Luke, Annabeth and you would have a sleepover and talk about random things

• In the past few months Luke suprassed you, and you couldn't be happier, he was like your little brother and across the years he and Annabeth became comfortable to call you they're sibling

• You did go to college and visited one time every month

• And you couldn't hide your suprise when an forbidden kid (a Poseidon one) got to camp and Luke was teaching him and making him comfortable

• You got a lot of flashbacks and Luke presented you to Percy, Annabeth didn't seem to like him very much and talked to you how stupid he was, you just nodded in agreement to bot make her mad

• In your next visit the surroundings weren't happy like the last one

• Luke betrayed the camp

• You couldn't believe it

• 'I should had talked to him more...' You always thought

• After the news you were like Annie, always trying to believe that there was still good on him and at the same time helping Percy, who reminded you so much of Luke...

• In the big battle you had put an sabatic year in college to fight against Kronos

• The boy you protected, your little brother was right in front of you...

• "So this is your 'older sibling'." Luke said, but it didn't sound like Luke, it was Kronos.

• After Luke's death you were on Annabeth and Thalia side always

• "He wasn't the Son of Hermes, not the hero of Olympus just our brother Luke." You always said to them.

In Kronos army...

• Luke was new with that whole traitor and being with Kronos thing

• You were one of the people who explained it to him

• Your despise for the Gods made Luke like you

• And you were kind to him

• You planned battle strategies together when the two of you could (sometimes Ethan came along)

• And you talked about your life

• You learned about his family situation and your anger for the Gods suprassed limits

• You also learned about Thalia, the daughter of Zeus and her noble sacrifice and the daughter of Athena, Annabeth

• You would also train the new recruits together

• Luke didn't admit it but without the camp you were the closest thing of a family he ever had

• When Luke learned that Thalia survived you hugged hugged him as he cried

• You were also a judge to when Luke and Ethan had spars

• In your minds Kronos plan was perfect: a new world where everyone can be happy without that damn Gods and just in general happiness

• Of course every plan had flaws

• And you learned it the hard way and it caused your everything

• You didn't know Kronos plan of using Luke's body as a hostage

• When you knew you tried everything to make Kronos change his mind

• 'You had some vote on the subject', was what you thought

• Well you thought wrong, not even being one of Kronos reliable followers and great warrior granted you an opinion in the matter

• You told Luke about the matter

• He became suprised but said: 'I'll do anything, if it means the Gods will know how much we demigods suffered.'

• 'What?' You thought at the time

• You tried to make him run away with you

• He was suprised again

• "The reason we are doing this isn't important if we are not alive to see the new world Luke." You said

• Luke thought about it and accepted to run away

• But they caught the two of you.

• "Traitors!"

• They made a fatal blow on you and chained Luke

• They took him to Kronos (problaly to start the possession)

• "No!" You cried to them.

• But it didn't matter, they made another blow and you closed your eyes almost a minute after

• "I'm sorry..." You whispered before closing your eyes, you hoped you atleast could meet Luke in the Underworld, likely not but a person could just hope...

This here is a sim that I made for the Sour Legacy Challenge, which I recommend you all to check out! Sadly all I've done was make this sim... I'm still waiting, and hoping, that we'll get actual bands in the game someday *sigh* She's a teen, I would say she's 16 or older, that's why she has piercings 😅 Also, if her parents are around, I picture them as being permissive, because the challenge requires her to drop out of high school at some point. In a way, she's everything I wanted to be as a teen, and isn't that what the sims is for? To live a dream? 😆

I'm also going to be seeing Olivia Rodrigo this next month, and if you don't know, the Sour Legacy Challenge is based on her album Sour. The excitement just made me want to pick this sim up again, and give her a quick makeover. The song that inspired this sim was Brutal, although I had the first lyric of Boys & Girls by Conan stuck in my head while I was making her.

I've been watching Conan voice imitation streams of the Conan crew playing among us. There's these yearly stream where they sometimes invite Hattori vc and everytime he's on he's just automatically become a Kudo bot.

Like last year (2023) his kudos count is 155 compare to last last year (2022) with the count of 416 (thanks you the one who counted them in the comments). I swear his Kudos haunted me even when I'm sleeping.

Bonus content is when Heiji is being voted off he said something along the line of "There's no meaning if Kudos is already dead, just vote me off)(?) And my he goes full yandere sometimes while the Conan vc just keep trying to run away.

Conan even said once: "If I'm an imposter this guy right here would already been dead!"

Even funnier when Heiji and Kid surrounding lil cone and them both keep going :"Meitantei" "Oi Kudo"

"So we are stuck here?" Freddy asked.

"For now." Conan looked annoyed. They were supposed to catch their connecting flight to Hawaii here, but a storm over the ocean was making it impossible. The clear blue skies around them just made the reason seem so incongruous. "Thankfully we're already in the states so we won't have our visas checked or anything. Especially since you look mostly Caucasian and we both speak perfect English."

"Your accent might need a bit more practice," Freddy said gently. "I have the advantage of switching my language module. Well, there is nothing we can do about the weather." Freddy shrugged gamely. "Why don't we 'do the tourist thing' until a flight is available to meet with your Great Aunt and Uncle."

That's one thing Conan appreciated about him. As an entertainment bot, he knew how to commit to a bit. They were impossible far away from anyone who might know them, but he kept their identities, as well as his parents identities relevant to theirs, up.

"Sure Dad. What's around here?" he asked, also staying in character.

"Let's see." Freddy pulled out his phone and did a quick search. "Oh." His entire demeanor fell.

"What's wrong?" Conan asked concerned. He'd seen few things get under his 'dad's' skin like this.

"The biggest tourist spot in this area is...a Freddy Fazbear's PizzaPlex."

Yeah, that would do it. "We don't have to go, I'm sure there are other things we could do."

"No, I - I want to see. what it could have been like? How many people get the chance to see what might have happened if their lives had gone according to plan. And this one is even bigger than the one in Japan. Here I - The other Freddy has a whole band. It is strange and frightening, but I want to see."

Conan wasn't sure if he could say the same. If he could see a different Kudo Shinichi who'd never been shrunk, never had to lie to Ran...all in all he'd just rather not. But this was Freddy's choice, not his. "Sure Dad, sounds like fun." He gave Freddy his "I'm a little kid smile, which Freddy returned with a genuine one.

The Pizzaplex wasn't far from the air pad, and when they got there both stared at the building for a moment. 'Bigger' was an understatement. The Pizzaplex in Beika was the size of a good sized restaurant. This was the size of a mall.

"Fazbear Entertainment must be doing well in America." Conan commented.

Freddy nodded. "Shall we?"

Conan held his hand, slipping his face into that of a little kid excited for an afternoon with his father. They walked through the giant glass doors and that where everything went wrong.

They had barely stepped foot into the Pizzaplex when Conan froze in place. Freddy did a quick scan of his son and noticed in addition to his paling skin his heartrate had skyrocketed and his breathing had quickened to a worrying degree.

He knelt down next to his son. "Conan, are you okay?"

He wasn't sure what he expected, but it wasn't for Conan to grab onto him like a koala, gripping his clothes in fear while small sniffles escaped from him. None of this was standard Conan behavior.

"Is your son alright?" a concerned lady in a Fazbear uniform asked.

"I think he's overwhelmed." he responded, wondering why the woman suddenly looked surprised." He stood, holding Conan to him. "I'll take him to the parking lot and see if that helps."

Thankfully as soon as he exited the doors Conan's death grip on him relaxed, thought it wasn't gone completely. His breathing evened out and his pulse rate dropped to normal.

"Hey there, superstar. You okay?" Freddy asked, rubbing Conan's back soothingly.

"No." Conan croaked. He took several deep breaths before he continued. "I...I've trained my detective instincts a lot."

"You have," Freddy agreed.

"And I've gotten them to the point where if someone's feeling a large amount of bloodlust or malice I can tell. Not who, and it wouldn't be permissible evidence in court even if I did know who, but...I don't feel it everytime but when I do it's never wrong."

That didn't sound like something that should be physically possible to Freddy, but now wasn't the time for that. "Is that what happened when you entered the building?"

But Conan shook his head. "No, it was.." Haibara used smell as her example, and Freddy was made to be a musician. "Think of it like a sound. Usually when I pick up on malice it's like a sudden note out of silence, a stinger on a violin. It's shocking and I have to pay attention to it. Walking into the Pizzaplex..." Conan gulped. "It was like stepping out of a sensory deprivation chamber into a cacophony. Loud horns, screeching violins, hands slamming on a keyboard. A thousand overwhelming notes of malice, death, violence. And they just kept playing. I've never felt anything even remotely resembling that."

"Do you think something bad is going to happen?" Freddy asked gravely.

"I think," Conan gulped, trying to make sense of the whirling feelings going on inside him. "I think something bads been happening for a while."

"Can we tell to the police?"

"No. We have no evidence other than me having a panic attack, which they'll be even less likely to listen to due to my age. And if they look into either of us they might realize we entered the country illegally."

Freddy thought a moment. Then he sighed. He wanted nothing more than to lick up his son, turn his back, and leave this place forever. But the thought of leaving victims, most likely children, made his servos twist. And he knew his son. Knew if he tried to leave Conan would just turn around and sneak back in to handle it himself. And the thought of Conan going there alone if this was anything like was happened at his Pizzaplex..."We are leaving."

Conan opened his mouth to argue.

"For now." Freddy appended. "We will get food and rest and give you time to recover. We will return shortly before the last big show. If we cannot find anything to give to the police, we will hide until closing in one of the recharge chambers. Though I have been altered to no longer require them, I should still register as a Fazbear Entertainment Animatronic and you would not be harmed in my stomach hatch. We can investigate after it is clear. The Pizzaplex is hugely busy. If something bad is ongoing, it will not be happening during opening hours."

"Thank you," Conan whispered.

The last thing they read before going to bed was their favorite mystery-themed manga that they’ve been following for years—even decades. They may at times stop reading it at certain points in life, but never truly move on. Far from it, they even revisit certain arcs again and again while anticipating the next update, which feels like forever. This time, they were engrossed in a storyline about the Nagano Trio. It was after a certain dialogue bubble—

The perfect crime is unreachable, you know. It's nothing but a mere illusion.

—from a thug-like police inspector that they ended up falling into slumber—deep, deep, until they figuratively drowned, and the supposed dream became their new reality.

A stern-sounding man in his 30s taps {{user}}'s shoulder once, twice, thrice. But he doesn’t get much response. What the hell, he thinks impatiently.

Okay, para empezar tengo que aclarar que la mayoria de headcanons son cosas que he notado de la pelicula ya que se nota que Alejandro amenabar se inspiro de un amigo y de la epoca en la que hizo la peli (1996). y quiero señalar estos detalles pero tambien hare headcanons (˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈)

Por el nombre "Chema" y la epoca se da ha entender que chema no es de Madrid (aun que su actor tenga acento madrileño), si no del pais vasco. Es mas, el mismo dice que sus padres no viven en madrid

Chema es un friki total, que en 1994, donde ocurre la peli, no era algo popular como hoy en dia

y cuando me refiero a friki total, es friki total.

No solo ama el gore o el cine del terror. Su cuarto es lleno de cosas como el poster de Alien en su puerta y en el baño.

Le gustaba tambien los comics pues en el suelo se ven tirados cariaas ediciones del "conan el barbaro" y "weapon X", el ultimo es un comic de marvel sobre wolverine

sobre las cintas, las que mejor se leen es hellraiser 2 (de cual tiene varios posters), terminator 2, carpenter (seguramente una coleccion del director) y halloween. tambien tiene varias revistas llamadas "creepy"

I haven’t really gotten into the swing of blogging here and I probably have like 2 followers who aren’t bots 😆 but I’m rewatching BBC Sherlock and feeling an inkling to reread the original stories and it just has me thinking and wanting to ramble about Sherlock media and put it somewhere. What I’ve really grown to appreciate all these 20ish years of being a Sherlock fan is seeing every new adaptation put their own spin on Sherlock and all the characters in the canon. Some I’ve loved, some I’ve been displeased with, but it’s always fun to analyze and revisit and see what parts delight and what disappoints or leaves me wanting more. More thoughts below because apparently I had a lot to ramble about on this topic lol.

BBC Sherlock probably has one of my favorite Watsons, and he gets more focus here then a lot of other adaptations, and feels truer to the character to me than many others. Old adaptations like Basil Rathbone with Nigel Bruce used to have him be a bumbling fool type and I’m glad that’s in the past now. I also enjoy Lestrade in the BBC version and tend to prefer adaptations that get him along this vein, a trusted person on the force, exasperated with Sherlock and his methods a lot of the time, but also one of the most willing to put faith in him and believe in his abilities (and his integrity when it matters.)

Irene Adler adaptations like the BBC show or Robert Downey Jr movies are usually hit or miss for me, and generally I find they put too much emphasis on making her have romantic feelings for Sherlock for my liking. I applaud how they want to make her a more prominent character than one who only appears on page in one story, but romantic tension/interest feels so limiting as the way they choose to do it. There’s some merit to showing how she has to weaponize her beauty/sexuality in that time period at times, but they rarely dig deeper than that or give her more of her own storyline.

I’ve also found most Moriarty adaptations pretty lacking. BBC Sherlock’s became very popular, and Andrew Scott is a wonderful actor, but he always came off as far too gleefully chaotic and evil for evil’s sake to be that interesting to me as Sherlock’s foil. I feel like they went with a Batman versus Joker sort of dynamic there, emphasizing shock value, and I much preferred the mystery of him throughout the early seasons versus the reality post reveal.

Moriarty in the original canon only gets hinted at very late when Conan Doyle is setting up what he believed to be the end of the stories (before public demand and personal debts changed those plans), and therefore he’s always been more a mystery figure than an actual developed character in the original stories. But the building blocks are there for adaptations to take and mold and I hope we get to see more creativity here. Robert Downey Jr faces off against a version of Moriarty in the movies that I’d call Moriarty classic. Serviceable, but nothing new there really. Math teacher, formidable, crime lord, older, genius, check, more or less straight from the books.

BBC Sherlock was also missing Moran who I’d been highly anticipating, and fans kept speculating some unnamed sniper was him, but we never got confirmation. To me that was such a huge missed opportunity, for an adaptation that really highlighted the bond between Sherlock and Watson, how could you ignore the bond between Moriarty and his own “dark” version of Watson?

So cue Moriarty the Patriot, which felt like a series made just for me to fangirl over. It nails Sherlock and John, even if they’re not as much the main focus here as other series, and that’s just clearing the bar for me, my first criteria for any Sherlock media being “do they get John right?” They introduce a younger version of Miss Hudson, whom I also loved in BBC Sherlock, but this brings a fun new dynamic where she feels more like a loving sister to our boys rather than a favorite aunt like in the classic take. Still long-suffering, still the heart who keeps them in check and cares for them, and until John comes along, the only person really in Sherlock’s confidence. I hope we see more of her backstory in MtP (BBC nails this quickly with the mention of Sherlock helping to put her shitty husband in prison.)

Then there’s the MtP version of Irene, who’s the most creative take on the character I’ve ever seen. Is there some potential romantic tension with Sherlock still? Sure if you’d like to ship it, but thats far from her main storyline, she has so much MORE going on. Her own wants, her own goals, her own mistakes, her own plans, that whole first plot of hers is still one of my favorite arcs in the manga and a time when it truly differentiated itself for me from any other adaptation. And that’s not even getting into the Bond material yet, which as a Bond movie and book fangirl as well, was this series actually custom made for me?!?? Ya’ll really were deep into my brain for this one, combining M with Albert, bringing in Moneypenny, all of it. The manga blew me away with all of this and how it was handled. Moran, you better never betray Bond as agent 006 Alex Trevelyan a la Goldeneye. 😆

Before the meat of this, I want to take an aside to also say I love MtP’s take on Mycroft. BBC gives us our first more active Mycroft on-screen that I can recall, not just lounging in the Diogenes Club per canon, orchestrating everything at a remove, but more involved in looking after his brother and meddling when he feels necessary. He’s a huge drama queen in the first episode and I’m looking forward to rewatching the seasons again and seeing the brothers’ dynamic grow. But MtP takes this and instead of having our first encounter with Mycroft be with John alone, more removed from his brother still, we see the two fighting and squabbling and I just love them, your honor. I would like to see someone handle their parents better than the BBC version did, and idk if we’ll ever see them in MtP, but I do enjoy the tidbits we’ve gotten like Sherlock’s working class accent. They already used the name Sherringford/Sherrinford for their ancestor, so curious where they’d go with this. But Mycroft in general, his parallels with Albert, his guilt over their ancestor and role in the government? His relationship with his brother? Nailed it, more please.

Brief shoutout to Enola Holmes, she’s a bit Mary Sue/wish fulfillmenty, but I enjoyed her and her dynamics with her brothers vastly more than the sibling they shoehorned into the last season of BBC Sherlock. If you’re going to give the boys a sibling, that was a fun way to do it. Henry Cavill looks NOTHING like Sherlock is usually described, but he was fun and quite nice to look at lol.

Now onto the main thing I want to ramble about: MtP has the single best adaptation of James Moriarty that I have ever seen in writing or on screen. It’s no coincidence that this is the first adaptation I’ve seen try to dive into his backstory, figure out what’s the deal with his brother(s), which was a genius move taking that inconsistency with Doyle’s descriptions to make there be three James Moriartys total, and to give us a compelling reason as to WHY he does the whole lord of crime thing. Like fine if it’s just for money, control or power, and I can read/watch that story if well done, but this is the first time I’ve really seen a series take the building blocks Doyle laid out and really turn them into something more, to create something original and compelling. William and his brothers 100% deserve their main focus in the series, and its all the better for that perspective flip, as much as I love Sherlock and John. Sherlock and John are fleshed out already, most modern adaptations can get them right, but the Moriartys? That was brand new.

Not to mention, they gave William James Moriarty his Sebastian Moran, and nailed that dynamic as well. Normally I’d think if we finally got Moran he’d be my main ship for Moriarty, just as John was always my main ship for Sherlock, but somehow MtP gets me shipping them, but also William x Sherlock, Mycroft x Albert, Moneypenny x Moran, Irene x Hudson aaand I could digress for way too long here so I’ll leave it at that. Note to anyone writing future adaptations, GIVE MORIARTY HIS MORAN.

All of these MtP versions of the characters are so good that now they’ve ruined me for other Sherlock related media, I’ve found. I watched Ron Kamanohashi and loved it, but as soon as elements of Sherlock and Moriarty were introduced, I found myself badly wanting MtP to be the original canon they were drawing from and see those storylines reflected in the modern day setting of Ron’s story. That is now 1000000% my headcanon. Can we somehow get future Sherlock media to adapt some of the new ideas MtP introduced moving forward, and keep expanding on those concepts? Be inspired by them to keep exploring more of the characters once you’ve gotten the mains right? Maybe not, but a girl can dream. It’s a fun time to be a fan of Sherlock related media.

With all that rambling said, has anyone got any recommendations for other Sherlock books, shows, manga, etc? I remember The Seven-Per-Cent Solution was a very influential AU book back in the day for Sherlock fans and is supposed to present an alternate telling of the Holmes and Moriarty dynamic, so I may read that. Sometimes I branch off into Lupin media and I’ve read some of Arsene Lupin vs Herlock Sholmes as well. 😆 I enjoy silly Herlock in The Great Ace Attorney games although he definitely feels like a goofy AU version.

I've created an alternate universe in my head where Sam and Charlie are siblings, both 16-18 in the first movie, and instead of Sam having annoying parents and having to do the 3 A's thing and his dad buying it, they find the yellow Camaro in the same scrapyard as in the Bumblebee movie when Charlie goes to find parts for the corvette, and get it for free from the old guy as a birthday present for Charlie and/or Sam. Charlie is still a part-time mechanic and she knows about her brother's crush on her also-a-mechanic friend, Mikaela, who helps them with the Corvette. That night Bumblebee drives off, causing Sam to think their new car is being stolen so he get's his sister up and they grab their bikes and chase after him, arriving in the junkyard where they both are arrested.

Their Mom, Sally (yes I changed their parents) is a nurse and was working the night shift when she had to go pick them up from the station. Morning comes, and Sam and Charlie go to eat breakfast and find their new car that was stolen in their driveway and freak out, grabbing their dog(haven't decided if it's Conan, or Mojo; it might be a completely different dog) , and Sam calls his friend Miles.

Charlie decided she wants to go investigate, especially after what they saw last night. Sam agrees, so the two of them grab their bikes and get out of the house but the car(Bee) starts following them.

They drive past the Burger King, Sam flips his bike, but gets up. Mikaela asks if he's okay and he says he thinks he's going crazy before leaving to catch up with his sister. Mikaela tells her friends she'll see them later and follows Sam to find out what's going on. Cue Sam meeting Barricade and running into Mikaela just like the movie.

Meanwhile, Charlie finds the Camaro which then transforms in front of her. This is when she finds out Bee is a transformer. Bee transforms to his alt-mode, she gets in and they go to find Sam. Sam and Mikaela are being attacked by Barricade when they find them and Bumblebee screeches to a halt, the window rolls down, and Charlie immediately tells them both to get in.

Basically the same thing happens next, Sam tells Mikaela the '50 years from now' thing to convince her to go with them. She does and they meet the other bots. After this they go home to get the glasses and basically the same thing happens but Charlie's there too.
