Screw it, I’ve been sitting on this for like over a month. My fellow Raphael simps need to know about this. This is my first crack at creating a design for Antilia, who has no official art.
She is canonically Mephistopheles’ daughter.
Yes, Raphael has a sister. A bard sister who has remained loyal to their father.
(full disclosure I cheated and drew over a render of Mizora JUST for the wings because this started out as something lazy)
This half-elf half-devil was added by the Book of Vile Darkness (pages 163-164) for DMs to fling at their epic level parties dumb enough to try taking on archdukes of Hell. Here is the important excerpt though:
You guys don’t know how many headcanons I have about her but I NEED to share one right now even though it’s genuinely a bit campy:
I think we can all agree Raphael has youngest child energy, so let’s just assume she’s his big sister. But immortals grow slow so I think they did grow up together. And yeah I’m about to make fucked-up evil half-devil childhoods cute. Because guys she is a bard. Can you just imagine two cambion kids running around the ice palace making up their own little twisted and evil plays to perform for the pit fiends? Grab a few of Meph’s debtors to play parts (and probably do horrible things to them but listen they’re the ones who sold their souls to the archduke of Cania).
I also like to think she and Haarlep have a thing just because they’re both spies for Meph. I also just really like the idea of him being sent to seduce the son but he’d rather be messing around with the daughter. 😭
Anyway!! I hope other people find this tiny sliver of lore fun, and I’d love to see it built upon. I’m gonna be working on her design more and adding some things. She actually has a robe of eyes in her equipment list I just didn’t have the spoons to add that to this one by the time I noticed that. If people have ideas for the design I’d LOVE to hear them! I just think there’s so much potential for headcanons and fanworks here, both silly and serious.

Look, I understand that the Dungeons and Dragons (2000) movie is awfully bad and riddled with tropes and cliches and bad lines and bad action and bad comedy relief and chosen one'isms and Jeremy Irons incredibly over the top acting and a queen that looks like she was the Child-Like Empress in The Neverending Story, but it is just so FUCKING well costumed somehow compared to so many action movies and it does feel genuinely sincere about their acting. Even if it isn't great. The music is also incredibly evocative and effective at conveying the emotion. It is also a story about how these heroes by ALL ACCOUNTS should not be winning, but they're the only ones who know what is going on and have a sliver of an idea of what is at stakes. It is genuinely very good and worth a watch going, "this movie isn't good, but it sure is a fun romp"
#the second movie kind of sucks budget wise comparatively#the third movie is BATSHIT INSANE#Book of Vile Darkness#DOES NOT FUCK AROUND it is hilarious and INCREDIBLY ACCURATE to D&D 3.5e#dungeons and dragons movie#dungeon and dragons movie 2000#dungeon and dragons

DND Magic Items: Artifacts: Book of Vile Darkness
Type: Wondrous Item
Rarity: Artifact
Attunement: Yes
The contents of this foul manuscript are the meat and drink of the wicked. It contains knowledge so horrid that to even glimpse the scrawled pages invites doom.
Many believe the Lich god Vecna authored the Book of Vile Darkness. He recorded in its pages every horrid idea every corrupt thought and every example of foul magic he came across or devised.
Other practitioners of evil have added their own input to the book's catalog of vile knowledge. Their additions are clear for the writers of later works stitched whatever they were writing into the tome or in some cases made notations and additions to existing text. There are places where pages are missing torn or covered so completely with ink blood and scratches that the original text can't be divined.
Nature can't abide the book's presence. Ordinary plants wither in its presence common animals are unwilling to approach it and the book gradually destroys whatever it touches. Even stone cracks and turns to powder if the book rests on it long enough.
Whenever a creature that isn't a Fiend or Undead attunes to the Book of Vile Darkness that creature makes a DC17 Charisma saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is magically transformed into a Larva (stats coming soon-ish) under the DM's control. Only the spell Wish can reverse this vile transformation.
A creature attuned to the book must spend 80 hours reading and studying it to digest its contents and use its Adjusted Ability Scores, Tireless Form, Spell, Vile Lore and Vile Speech.
The Book of Vile Darkness remains with you only as long as you strive to work evil in the world. If you fail to perform at least one evil act within the span of 10 days or if you willingly perform a good act the book disappears your Attunement to it ends immediately and you lose all benefits granted by it. If you die while attuned to the book an entity of great evil claims your soul. You can't be restored to life by any means while your soul remains imprisoned.
Adjusted Ability Scores: One ability score of your choice increases by 2 to a maximum of 24. Another ability score of your choice decreases by 2 to a minimum of 3. The book can't adjust your ability scores again.
Tireless Form: While the book is on your person you can't be Exhausted.
Random Properties: The Book of Vile Darkness has the following Random Properties:
3 minor beneficial properties
1 major beneficial property
3 minor detrimental properties
2 major detrimental properties
Spells: While holding the book and holding it you can cast the following spells (Save DC18) from it:
Animate Dead
Circle of Death
Dominate Monster
Finger of Death
Once you use the book to cast a spell you can't cast that spell again from it until the next dawn.
Vile Lore: You can reference the Book of Vile Darkness whenever you make an Intelligence check to recall information to recall information about some aspect of evil such as lore about Demons. When you do so you have Advantage on that check.
At the DM's discretion the book might reveal secrets no mortal should know such as the true names of powerful Fiends foul rites that allow one to transform into a Death Knight or Lich or long lost spells crafted by beings so evil their names ought to never be spoken aloud.
Vile Speech: While the book is on your person you can take a Magic action to recite words from its pages in a foul dead language. Each time you do so you take 1d12 Psychic damage and each creature within 15 feet of you takes 3d6 Psychic damage unless the creature is a Fiend or Undead.
Destroying the Book: The Book of Vile Darkness allows pages to be torn from it but any evil lore contained on those pages finds its way back into the book eventually usually when a new author adds pages to the tome.
If a Solar tears the book in 2 the book is destroyed for 1d100 years after which it reforms in some far corner of the multiverse.
A creature attuned to the book for 100 years can unearth a phrase hidden in the in the original text that when translated to Celestial and spoken aloud destroys both the speaker and the book in a flash of radiance. However as long as evil exists in the multiverse the book reforms 1d10x100 years later.

Would you ever consider becoming a published author? I love your fanfics but seeing you recommend dark romance novels does make me wonder what a dark romance book from yeyinde would be like
published author kinda scares me ngl lmao but maybe. i enjoy writing fanfic, dgmw, but i have a lot of ideas i want to try that don't really fit into the fandoms i write for. the more i read and write and experiment, the more i want to take on and do. and there's only so many situations i can put these particular characters into, so. thinking about it.
and also, Vi Khi Nao, Shiloh Sloane, Tanya Tagaq, and Agustina Bazterrica have def had an impact on me when it comes to writing, so!! who knows. maybe i'll get around to writing something of my own eventually—if only so i can slide into their dms with my kindle unlimited author hallpass to chat them up and figure out how their brains work.
#a yeyinde dark romance book would probs be more horror erotica—like: fmc gets in over her head with the mafia#maybe goes to a party with her socialite friend and gets accused of theft and enforcer mmc has to rough her up a bit for the info#he'd be awful vile foul irredeemable#spitballing here tbh and making this up as i go but ummmmm#then he lets her go but maybe she liked the violence a little too much and seeks him out for more#gore torture mayhem misery#an hea that leaves you queasy#yeah#that sounds nice

Always appreciate seeing your Gale/Durge content, and am excited to see someone else play Resist!Paladin Durge (I have so many HC about them). Allow me to offer one: I feel like Paladin Durge tries REALLY hard to be the chivalrous knightly type in affairs of the heart (even if they occassionally think about eating hearts). Just the type be in a perpetual one-upmanship battle on who can be the most romantic with Gale.
Thank you, anon! Sometimes it's a bit discouraging to keep posting about a rare-ish ship that the fandom sleeps on or constantly brings up the hand bs. So I appreciate this message!
As for the headcanon - that's a cute dynamic between paladin!Durge and Gale! I haven't considered that until now (I was too busy thinking how cute it would be for buff paladin Durge to protect Gale in battle haha) but I definitely like it! Durge and Gale trying to out-romance each other leading to ridiculously grandeur and elaborate gestures lmao love to see it
Feel free to share more hcs btw!

Book Three of...
Story: 3 out of 5 Smut: 5 out of 5
Third book down and wow. What a ride!
Bully romance is still not my cup of tea, but this book was still interesting. If you’re a fan of pain and pleasure, then you’ll definitely love this.
Blaine was definitely my favorite of the three. While he was not one to be messed with, he treated Crystal way differently than Ares and Caleb. Caleb and Ares, however, it took a long while before I warmed up to these two. And then when everything was out in the open, I liked all three.
Now here are my rambling thoughts...
* Oh okay. So we’re murdering people on page 10. Cool. lol.
* So he doesn’t wanna kill her, but he does want her fear.. please be interesting.
* Ares really got her to the point of almost cumming, only to take his fingers away and taunt her. What a dick lol.
* Caleb really came on her window 😂
* So Caleb is a slut for Ares. Good to know. I especially love that “yes, sir”
* Why the fuck is Caleb so pissed at Crystal? It’s not like she orchestrated her mom hitting it off with his dad.
* Why is he so determined that Crystal threw her mom at his dad? She didn’t! wtf is he so paranoid?
* Okay, so I’m kind of loving Blaine rn. lol.
* What the hell is going on between Ares and Kai? Are they related?
* Oh shit. Caleb and Crystal’s parents are engaged 🤦🏻♀️ And why is he so dead set that Crystal set them up? She didn’t even know he was going to be there with his dad!
* I don’t like Ares and Caleb at all. Fuck these dudes. They’re gonna have to some serious shit to make me like them.
* So Caleb saved her from a very bad situation. He gets a little credit.
* ..and he ruined it.
* Oohhh. Blaine’s gonna teach her to fight 😏
* Aww. She kissed Blaine 🥹 and then Ares had to go and ruin it. Fuck this guy.
* “You may have had sex before, but you have never been properly fucked by a cock like mine,” I growl. “Now sit on your god’s lap and show me how badly you want to come, and maybe I’ll give it to you.” — Holy shit 🥵
* Damn. How long did as that sex party 😂
* Oh fuck. Don’t tell me Ares was the one who was forced to kill Crystal’s dad 👀
* Ohhh. She’s willingly fucking Blaine and I’m here for it.
* Shit. Ares took her to the man directly responsible for Crystal’s dad’s death. So Wayne was the unhappy customer? Ares’s dad made him kill Crystal’s dad because of Wayne?! wtf.
* I was right! Ares and Kai are related!
* Oh fuck. Crystal did manipulate the situation between her mom and Caleb’s dad. Ouch. All just to get to Ares because he killed her father.
* Ohhh we’re finally catching up to where book 2 ended. It only took 370 pages.
* “I will kill them all for you. All you have to do is say yes, and I will be your vessel for slaughter.” Her body freezes under my touch. “But when I’m done… you will be mine.” // She takes a short breath, still gazing into nothingness as she says, “Yes.”
* “Look at me,” I say, forcing our eyes to find each other in our darkest moment. “He named Ares because he wanted to raise a god. I was made to rule his fucking empire, and there is nothing in this world I would bend for, not even for him… but I will for you.”
* Damn. Caleb’s mom died, his dad broke up with Crystal’s mom (no step-incest!), and now Ares gets called away? There’s definitely gonna be a book 4. Goddammit.
* Goddamn. All the characters from each book have come together. It’s gonna be a bloodbath.
* Wow. It’s over. For now. That was… a lot. Haha.

I have incomprehensible thoughts rn about how many classic American folk songs are kinda fucked up (and many are "sanitized" for modern listening to be less fucked up), and it's wild that we just, teach these songs to children without any context or anything? like, clementine is about a miner's daughter DROWNING TO DEATH as he watches helplessly? Old folks at home is a fucking RACIST AF ass song written by a white dude in the perspective of a slave who has been freed who misses his life on a plantation? when John Henry was sang by miners it often had ad-libbed, graphic lyrics about having sex with women at the end of the work day (as a way to motivate themselves and get them through the hell that was mining in the 1800s), and a lot of our modern versions are just super sanitized? like I get its hard to explain a lot of that shit to kids but like, its often never revisited and those songs are just left as sanitized, incoherent childhood introductions to America when they actually all have great amounts of value and history when put into context!!
#I will die on this hill that American folk music is an important part of history and it makes me sad it gets left behind and sanitized#its original meaning should not be incomprehensible and forgotten. even if it is extremely ugly and vile; or even if its really dark and sa#like in order for the country to reconcile with its evil and paiiiinful past we need to ACKNOWLEDGE IT and stop trying to sanitize it#anyways. fun facts clementine was a favorite song of mine as a child and I still hold it near and dear to my heart. and dont get me STARTED#ON OLD FOLKS AT HOME#that song is soooo racist but I learned it in a cello positions book so I didn't know the lyrics or context for YEARS after I learned it#and I always thought it was such a hauntingly beautiful song cause musically IT IS. SO GOOD.#but goddamn when I found out the lyrics and the context I was so fucking mad. thats some awful fucked up bullshit like I cant even begin#and idk it makes me upset to think about the context but also I think it really important we recognize that was really the true atmosphere#at the time and that was our country. Stephen foster is an American folk legend and he wrote that awful racist song. he is great at his art#form but is not separate from his place in time. he was a racist even if he was progressive at that moment in hisotry.#and that is our country. and idk like I think that that adds even more pain to that song and it makes it even more painful to listen to#and thats why we need to not forget it and listen to it to fucking remember and acknowledge how we got here and what we came from#I hate that song and I love that song but I hate it and ughhhhh I wish I hadn't learned it on cello and loved the melody for years#cause its gross af. but also like#its where we came from so I shouldn't hate our history cause thats ignorant and not productive#anwyays#googoogajoob

People always make up fucked up evil spells for D&D... what people don't realize is that D&D already has fucked up evil spells.
Gratuitously evil spells for villains to learn
Mordenkainen's Highly Problematic Political Opinions
Spell that causes someone to experience the entirety of The Big Bang Theory in 6 seconds
Spell that causes a needlessly painful death. It figures out the maximum amount of pain it's ethically permissible to inflict based on context and inflicts twice that much on purpose
Fireball but it expands the area of effect to specifically hit all your teammates.
Mildly Upset Person.
Disintegrate but it bestows any object it hits with full human sapience just before the ray hits.
Locate Object but every time you cast it, it kicks a random guy in the nuts for no good reason.
Hellish Rebuke but it hits anyone who isn't attacking you.
Ray of Deforestation
Transmute Food To Food That's Produced Unsustainably And Using Unethical Labor Practices
Nullify Union
#D&D#D&D 3.5#book of vile darkness has a lot of bad stuff but also has some really goofy evil spells#like slash tongue where you put a paper cut on someone's tongue to annoy them
