Some swatches to prep for Art Fight! Since I work traditionally, I can’t always follow color palettes exactly when it comes to this game, so having a swatch list like this helps a ton. Also a good way to see which markers I’ll eventually need a refill on (I kill my grays, greens, and browns/oranges) or to avoid for larger spaces.
The Prismacolor swatch may seem peculiar, but there is a reason. While a lot of the items here have been gifts from family and friends (who I am very very grateful for. It doesn’t help that my only open interest has been art for over half of my life at this point, though, lmfao. Sorry y’all.), they were a very particular gift I got before I can really remember. My great grandmother apparently went and bought some fancy colored pencils all the way back in the day and gave them to a very young me to play with. Apparently I’d, with permission or without who knows, mixed them in my childhood colored pencil pouch. They’re a mix of Stanford, Berol, and Premieré (which, for those who don’t know, are three different companies/brandings the pencils have had over the years) so I wanted to be sure to swatch each pencil just to check if there was a color difference. Some are so sharpened that the name and color code are missing, some only had the French left, some had everything, hence the repeats and missing names. I could probably find them or take guesses, but this is more fun. Sorry for stealing your colored pencils Mawmaw. Miss you lots.
I might re-swatch my watercolors for this too? Just to have a designated swatch book? But they already have swatch cards in with their containers so idk yet :)

Kabir Parmeshwar Ji Has said that the true saint who firmly speaks about the true name (Satnaam) will face opposition from the saints and mahants of that time because He will expose the false knowledge of those imitators. And the saint who is facing opposition from all the religious leaders today is Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj, because His true knowledge is contradicting the beliefs of all the current religious leaders.

Sketchbook: Sight For Sore Eyes
Couple quick sketches. Playing around with some color. The top was done with Bombay India inks. The bottom was done with Boku-undo ‘shadow black ‘ which is a mix of Sumi and Japanese watercolor in pan form. Interesting results. Plan on experimenting more this year. Just don’t except Fauvism.

Respectfully and not in any sort of 'attempt for personal gain' type of way, I don't want anything at all out of saying this, or from you, but just an observation I thought I would share, human being to human being as a affirmation of the miracle of our existence and observation of one another in service to acknowledging our reality as social creatures in this fleeting (for geologic timescales) evolutionary hiccup as we fly through the void at hundreds of thousands of miles an hour towards our inevitable doom, and I'm sure you probably already know this, but your face goes hard. Just like, scientifically speaking. The data doesn't lie. Now it's peer reviewed.
(Shit, that's not a question)
You sure like red, don't you?
(There it is)
Wait, peer reviewed?
I…really like red
#happy iwd I’m peer reviewed hot#this ask was not received today I just happened to answer it today#for context#btw the last art supplies I purchased were a red brush pen and a bottle of red ink#it’s dr phil martens bombay red#their black is a fav so I had high hopes#But it has like magenta/pink undertones that I don’t care for

Phantom Headcanons!
(Note that all of my versions of the Battle Egos….and basically all egos in general, aren’t inherently related in any aspect. They are they’re own individual creations. Also these H/Cs are self indulgent as hell so warning-)
General H/Cs
Name: Phantom
Age: 30 (Yes, I’m making him younger than Mare-)
Species: Incubus
Sexuality/Romantic Orientation: Pansexual/Biromantic/Demiromantic
Specific H/Cs
Dramatic af
Theater nerd (his favorite musical is Hade’s Town)
Phantom likes classical music but he’s a SLUT for electro-swing/punk-swing
He doesn’t actually do deals all that often and the ones he DOES do are performance related deals.
His powers comes from himself and his cane is really just to hone in his abilities (like Thor)
His cane is still his prized possession. He doesn’t let many people touch it and he goes almost everywhere with it.
Phantom hand writes all of his contracts with an ink feather for the aesthetic.
Phantom doesn’t actually take pleasure in soul stealing. It’s mostly a means to an end for him. But he WILL take pleasure in it if he can’t stand the client.
He DOES find a lot of his clients as well as the process of deal making amusing as it shows the length humans go through to fulfill their dreams.
When he’s not soul stealing and making contracts, he often likes to do sorcery or perform at his bar.
He’s good at playing the violin.
Dude HATES the sound of the banjo. (He doesn’t like country music in general.)
Phantom has a big and yet very fragile ego and he flaunts himself as a defense mechanism.
At first he found Natemare’s “hatred” of him adorable. He always taunted him about it which made Mare frustrated, to Phan’s amusement. Over time though, Mare started to work on himself and no worry about Phantom which in turn made Phantom uneasy. So he started to show off more which eventually made Mare fuss over him again.
The reasons why Phantom was uneasy when Mare stopped worrying about him was because he’s not used to people not fawning over him so suddenly, it makes him actually doubt his performance skills and he both admires and envy Mare’s want to make a name for himself because Phantom had already subconsciously accepted all of the labels people have pushed onto him. He feels…useless if he’s not making people scream for him and he HATES that Mare doesn’t need his validation to make him happy. (….they both has self worth issues-)
Phantom knows Mare has a crush on him. He finds it amusing when Mare acts like a tsundere and those feelings may or may not be reciprocated-
Despite him having a crush on Mare he does find Jackaboy hot af
Him and Actor!Mark are bitter exes tho
Phantom, Janus Sanders and Wilford Warfstash are all good friends.
He has a soft spot for the Bendy franchise.
His favorite animals are snakes and cats (specifically bombay/black cats).
At some point in his life he took one pole dance class and never looked back.
And these are all of my Phantom head canons for now. If you guys want me to do an spicy version of the bois’s list I’ll gladly make it. Otherwise my next list will either be a PhantoMare ship h/c list or an h/c list for Pumpkin.
(Just a note: I don’t normally do this but if you liked this list then please check out my Natemare Headcanon list since there’s lore there that connects to Phantom’s lore)

red sky at morning...
Getting back into working traditionally with ink! This isn't a perfect piece (I was impatient and didn't wait until the ink was fully dry at some points, and ofc it smeared when I applied another layer) but overall I'm happy with it.
Materials:
mechanical pencil & eraser (for sketching)
black fineliner pen (for lettering)
Pentel Arts Pocket brush pen (for inking - wanting to use this tool inspired the entire piece!)
Speedball black ink (for inking)
Dr Ph Martin's Bombay India ink, red (for color)
and a teensy bit of red acrylic paint to fix a smudged mistake

The Little Blue Gentleman vs The Little Blue Viking
I observed this skirmish at the bird feeder. I really feel like The Little Blue Viking encapsulates the main problem with society today. In fairness though, The Little Blue Gentleman needs a timer -- he's so slow choosing his peanuts. I just don't think violence is the answer. And bear in mind that the Viking was the one who followed his little wife through the trees singing to her so beautifully... he has hidden depths.
Media: dip pen, Noodler's black ink (I should have used Bombay,) colored pencil.

A. A. Almelkar (1920 - 1982, India)
Abdul Rahim Almelkar was born in Sholapur (Maharashtra). He began to paint at a tender age of 7. He completed his schooling at a local school after which he pursued his formal art education at the J.J. School of Art, Bombay. He won several awards at shows organized by the Art Society of India and the Bombay Art Society. Unlike his contemporaries, he branched out into the field of art at an exceptionally early age and evolved in his own pre- eminent style. Almelkar believed his mother’s embroidering during her pregnancy had enriched his creativity from her womb and he believed to inherit the skill of art from that age. He considered Khatri, a painter from Gujarat to be his true teacher. Khatri instilled into the young aspirant a pursuit for perfect draftsmanship. His style of painting was more traditional than his contemporaries with a lot of detailing and elements from miniature art tradition that were at its peak when he was still studying at the art college. His main interests were directed to figurative and naturalistic landscapes. Almelkar often travelled in the jungles of Vidharbha, (a district in Maharashtra) sketching birds, trees and what nature had to offer in sanctuaries and the colourful tribal people inhabiting those localities. He finger painted as well as a drew detailed outlines to his artwork using ink and other mediums. He later joined as a lecturer at the Sir J.J School of Arts in 1968. (AstaGuru - Modern Indian Art)
