Another one that I wanted to do for ages, and that I only managed to start early april.
Miyu, during her lifetime as a mortal, was a singer and played shamisen… In captivity. It's quite far away from her now, but one day she will have the opportunity to get back at playing this instrument, will hesitate a lot and will finally decline. But she still loves music. And she loves singing. Jacke who had a solid musical education will gladly teach her everything he knows.
Because Jacke's dad, Oscar O'Brady, a retired trader, is as in love with music that he's irish and may not be a master at one art but a very enthousiast connoisseur who knows the basics of every instruments he owns in the lovely collection he built through the years. No need to say that Oscar will adopt his daughter in law in an heartbeat and they will both spend a lot of time talking on this subject. Miyu, will even grow a soft spot for another stringed instrument and the hare's family will do their best to find precise plans to help the Sanctuary's carpenter building a luth at the bunny's size.
And also… A bodhrán at the hare's one too. Because Jacke learned to play it when a child but on a human sized one… His father will order and pay both instruments at once because "it's easier to practice when two"
It's hard to play music or sing when the heart is full of insecurities, but if I may not know all the steps of the very long road theses characters will have to walk… I know that they will make it at the end, and I take comfort in that ♥
It's all about progress it seems. And it's also comforting to see my own growth with theses two. (I didn't compare with the 2019 one, because it was a lucky strike and I don't see progress with this one XD)

Daily Instrument — Bodhrán
The Bodhran is an Irish membranophone. The bodhran is resemblant of a tambourine, it has a (traditionally wooden) circular frame with a membrane (traditionally goatskin) stretched over it. Bodhrans typically have a foot long diameter, and its frame is 3–8+ inches deep. The instrument is played 3 different ways: fluttering their hand with a tipper, playing with only one side of a tipper, and playing by hand.

ya’ll I’m bummed out.
I’d like to know if there are any bodhrán players out there that deal with dyspraxia and/or fine motor skill issues (I am a disabled player). Any advice at all on how to grip the tipper (wether heavy or light weight seems to make no difference to my issue, I struggle with all the ones I have so far). My playing has gotten so much more fluent - but my grip is weak, even with pencils and pens. Whether fast songs or slow and gentle, I cannot maintain control of my tipper enough not to cause sloppiness that makes me skip beats. It gets to where I wanna cry lol
I’ve been practicing for 6 years (not as regularly as I should until the last 2 years) and there is just, so far, no way I can figure around my grip issue. I’m a lone player too, so it just hurts extra worse that I don’t know anyone to reach out to about these specific issues to due with my disability. I’ve used rubber bands to create a ‘stickier’ grip, even tied my fingers themselces with rubber bands to secure them to my tipper lmaooo
No success :(

Irish Drum
In traditional Irish music, the Irish Drum is a symbol of rhythmic vitality. Its deep, resonant tones provide the heartbeat for countless tunes and dances. For beginners, choosing the right bodhrán is essential.
