okay, so I started watching 911 a few weeks ago and of course the hyperfixation is real, but now I'm obsessed with Bobby and Athena. Buck is great and I get why people love him so much but I'm really craving some angst or hurt/comfort centered around Bobby and not Buck. Anyone have any Bobby/Athena centered fics they'd send my way? 🥹

The look on Bobby’s face is still a kind of adorable flabbergasted. “Okay, so I did hear you right, but …” Bobby trails off. “Is this one of those times where it sounds like you’re saying something nice, but it really means you don’t think I’m playing with a full deck of cards.” Athena smiles, “Not this time—this time, it’s quite simply that I find what you did and said adorably sweet.” “Wonderful, another one of those phrases that might be good or might mean I have a few screws loose.” “Well, you are regularly around people who have more than a few screws loose, so it was bound to happen to you as well.” She looks out at the rest of the 118 gathered in their backyard.  She’ll stand by the fact that they all have a few screws loose, but she’s never met a better group of people. They’ve spent all day helping them move things from storage into the new house, so they still have some things that are theirs mixed in with all the new. Every single one of these people has been here all day, helping in one way or another, and it’s made the day so much better than it would have been otherwise. “Should we get back out there?” Bobby asks, and she turns to him and nods. They walk back out, and instantly, they’re caught up in the conversations. At one point, she looks across at Bobby and then around at the rest of them. She doesn’t know what she did to get this lucky, but she’s glad she has.

Listen Buddie fandom, I’m happy for us and imma let you finish but first I need to scream for a second about Bobby/Athena in this episode!

You know what we saw from these two? Real partnership! These are two people who absolutely share themselves in full with each other, and maybe it’s because I just rewatched 4x13 and 4x14 but man can you see the growth in their relationship. They’re a team! Athena is Bobby’s first call, every time. We even see Athena attending a meeting with Bobby.

You know what that is? Growth. We love to see it.

funniest fucking storyline in 911 by FAR is michael getting bored, so he starts spying on his neighbors. athena gets worried and sends bobby over who IMMEDIATELY supports michael's insane claim that his one neighbor is up to something hinky. michael's partner comes home and suggests they rummage through the trash for evidence. despite his obviously joking bobby and michael think this is a GREAT idea. bobby gives david a lecture about how this is a legal grey area. michael sneaks into the guy's apartment and gets hit in the head. athena comes by and is outraged, even though she probably should have known that sending her dumbass husband to her dumbass ex-husband would result in smth exactly like this.

and then they're RIGHT. just completely validated. it's great. i could watch this episode forever.

karen wilson is so severely underutilized like why is the show not sending her on the same adventures and hijinks that michael used to get into?? i demand a subplot where chris and denny are in the same science class and are supposed to be building rockets and both she (literal rocket scientist) and buck (audhder hyperfixated on random scientific knowledge) get way too into it. have her athena and maddie go on a no-firefighters-allowed excursion that ends in them catching a serial killer. introduce karen and bobby inexplicably having beef only for it to be revealed that it was all caused by an imessage scrabble game gone wrong. we as a society need storylines for karen wilson in season eight that don’t revolve around her either being an extension of hen or the constant ongoing prevention of them getting another kid
