thanks for the tag @soloorganaas !
share the last line you wrote in your wip:
"Hm?" Not quite the eloquent response of a Protector, but well, the Mand'alor was standing in front of her mostly naked with sex tousled hair, now looking back at the datapad.
"You're dismissed."

I've been picking up some Tolkien reading again; I am a fan of his writing and I remembered some verses from the most beautiful love story for me in the entire Tolkien universe; after Faramir and Eowyn, the story of Luthien and Beren; a story that crosses all barriers for love.
So when I go back to the story of both characters; How Luthien's love for Beren is so strong (and it's a two-way connection) When Beren falls into the clutches of her captors, Luthien fights with all her might, against everyone who held her and was against her love for Beren, even her father.
How to reach your loved one to save him.
Somehow it made me remember this point and relate it to another universe that I love (and I don't care what other people say) star wars
SW has a lot of Tolkien and it is evident that its female characters exude strength, especially if the fight is for someone or something they love.
Tumblr media
When this universe begins with episodes 4, 5 and 6 Leia develops this complicated relationship with Han, but love somehow unites them, thanks to strength and destiny.
She ends up rescuing him even when she is also captured, but her feelings make her throw herself into danger for him
Tumblr media
Later, on another SW bridge, one of my favorite couples in this universe develops within the conflict. Kanan and Hera; a couple that I believe is one of the healthiest and best developed. Love was always his hook and compass
When he ends up being captured, Hera does not hesitate at any time to go to his rescue, convincing the entire gang that "just because they are family"
Actually; You could see Hera's need to go rescue her boy. And when she is captured, Kanan does not hesitate to find her and save her.
Tumblr media
After; My favorite shipment appears and what I love most recently. A pair of stubborn and deluded Mandalorians, who don't know how to interact in this matter of feelings, but who unconsciously help and support each other. Bo Katan no longer wanted to know anything about this man with silver beskar, he was already resigned, but love seems to have other plans for them.
The force moved its pieces and destiny helped in this play. Din Djarin almost ended up saying goodbye to this universe but Grogu went in search of the most trustworthy person and the one he knew would help them, because Bo has a special affection for that green boy and a stronger feeling for his Mandalorian father.
And he throws himself against the danger and pain of memories and seeing Mandalore fallen. And it continues like this on constant occasions when she is able to save him and keep him safe. This is how they show affection to each other and this is how he swears that he will be close to her.
Tumblr media
And finally; the couple that no one understands and that many do not support (but I don't give a damn, the fandom of this shipment exists and we agree that they are very good at being together) Separated by conflict and circumstance; The force has different ways of acting, but that does not mean that mutual feelings disappear, especially if destiny brings them closer again. Sabine and Ezra are in a constant struggle, even with their own feelings, but even when he is far away, she never stops thinking about him.
When the promises made are there, she sets out to fulfill them and see him again, make him come home. Leaving aside everything and sacrificing the safety of an entire galaxy; a selfish impulse but that can only be done out of desperation to have it close, love sometimes makes you act unconsciously.
The only thing you can do is let yourself go. Being captured is the only way to get to him. And that's how they find each other, they manage to see each other, even when they have to separate again.
Luthien and Beren's story is similar to many of these stories of the couples I love in SW We can agree that light, love, strength and destiny are always there to cross your paths. And they will manage to love each other (or already did) or be together in their own way.
This is the way.

So... I was living in isolation, then I had to rescue this guy I'm fond of from hell and I went RELIGIOUS SPIRITUAL mode just like him, then by end the show (that was released in 2023 by the way), I mastered the two worlds.
And oh, the guy I'm fond of and I went separate ways.
Am I Bo-Katan Kryze in Mando season 3? Or Sabine Wren in Ahsoka?

I had a dream where Disney gave me the greenlight to make my own Star Wars spin-off show. What I came up with was a comedy-musical show in which Din, Bo-Katan, Sabine, and Ezra ended up in an alternate universe that’s a musical version of their world. I don’t remember the exact details of the entire season, but the season finale was:
1) Din and Bo-Katan absolutely slaying “From this Moment On” by Shania Twain and Bryan White. I think the arc I gave them was that they absolutely didn’t want to take part in the singing and the only way to return home was to sing at least one song.
2) Sabine and Ezra had to do the same, but they ended up with “Senorita” by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello. So they had the more fun climax lol.
3) The main villain turned out to be alternate universe Obi-Wan, who used the Force to create the musical universe.

After destroying the Duchess and relinquishing the Darksaber to Bo-Katan Kryze, Sabine Wren is drawn to getting to know the woman she hopes will reunite and lead their people.
Wrote this for Lesbian Visibility Day, but nearly didn't share it further after the first comment it received accused me of A.I. usage. Found such an accusation utterly devastating as I am completely against the use of A.I. for art and writing, and spent weeks working on this piece. So no, there has been no use of A.I. in this fic, both from my side in its writing nor from the wonderful @rancidsugar 's artwork within.
So, my fellow sapphics, Happy Lesbian Visibility Day! Come and treat yourself to some heavy lesbo smut between our favourite mean lesbian, Bo-Katan Kryze, and the colourful darling, Sabine Wren.

Snippet Share
I'm really excited about this one so I'm gonna share my fav little interaction!
“I have heard much about you, Lady Wren,” The Armorer started after a pregnant pause permeated the air around them.
Sabine shifted the weight of an unpainted beskar pauldron in her hand, staring at the glint of the lights in the reflection. “Hopefully not all bad,” The violet haired woman didn’t look up, though she could see The Armorer reflected in the metal.
“Mandalorian; you are a Mandalorian. Through the good times and the bad,” The Armorer moved to take. “Through peace and through war,”
“When has there ever been peace?”
There was a sound from the vocoder, almost like a warm chuckle, distorted through the crackling sound. “Tell me, Lady Wren,” The woman reached to take the pauldron from her hands and set it back aside. Sabine’s breath caught in her throat as the woman’s hand reached out again, though she did not touch, gloved fingertips just an inch from the kar’ta at the top of her chest plate. “How do you keep your heart?”
Sabine’s jaw locked as her eyes focused on the strip of metal, high up on The Armorer’s chest, keeping her heart in place. “Pain only makes us stronger, I had to hold on tight,”
“The hottest fires forge the strongest steel,” The Armorer agreed, her hand dropping as she studied the younger Mandalorian’s heart, threatening to break free from the protection around it. “When you keep it under the fires too long, however-” Her hand raised once more to press into the metal, it gave quickly under her touch. “It becomes malleable, harder and harder to forge into protection over time,”
Sabine when The Armorer just pops her heart out of her chest:

Congratulations! You’re being smothered with a completely random headcanon about Mandalorian marriage customs rescued! Please do not resist.
The Rite of Riduurok Akaanir, aka “Lover’s Quarrel”
Alright…so I gotta be honest and say that even though I can’t remember how exactly this headcanon came to me, I’ve been carrying it around for years, ever since first watching Rebels and shipping Sabezra 😅 …and at this point, I feel like it’s burning a hole in my head, trying desperately to get out, so I’m gonna save myself the expense of reconstructive cranial surgery and just share it:
Mandalorians like to fight. Actually, they don’t just like to fight, “weapons are a part of [their] religion,” or at least their culture—and for many, their entire lives are built around that. In the case of the Children of the Watch, strict adherence to a No-Living-Being-Can-See-You-With-Your-Helmet-Off orthodoxy even gets in the way of basic interpersonal behavior, like eating a meal together. The implications of that are…interesting…and not in a “wow that’s cool!” way…more like a “kark, that’s depressing” way.
Tumblr media
Basically, I started to wonder how the “BAM! BOOM! BAM! BOOM! BLOW STUFF UP AND KILL THOSE FORCE-WIELDING MANIACS!” portion of Mandalorian culture (so…most of it?) intersects with intrinsic parts of human…wait, nope, sorry Grogu sentient life—namely romantic intimacy. (Paz Vizsla has, presumably, not taken his helmet off in decades…and he has a son who’s probably 12ish years old, tops…so do you think he ever stares at his kid and tries parsing out his own features to get an idea of what his wife looks like?) It’s an extreme example from an extreme sect, but there’s application to Mandalorian society as a whole. Where does love fit into a worldview or galaxy-view, I guess where conflict is a core tenet? When do individuals stop existing as warriors and start existing as people? Do they ever?
Tumblr media
Anyway, the point is that on its face, the cultural dogma doesn’t seem to leave much room for authentic social and romantic intimacy, especially the latter since, ya know, the beskar has to come off both literally and figuratively in order to procreate. It’s difficult for me to see how the necessity of physical and emotional vulnerability can coexist with the rest of Mando culture—so let’s just leave it at that.
But for a civilization to survive as long as Mandalore has without totally disintegrating, those intimate relationships have to exist, and there’s plain evidence that they do. For all their problems, the Wren family clearly loves each other, and we even get a glimpse of some soft Alrich/Ursa PDA in “Heroes of Mandalore.” Then there’s Bo-Katan, who still cares deeply for her sister despite…well…joining a terrorist faction to help overthrow her. That says something, right?
Tumblr media
Wrapping my mind around how authentic love can exist in a fictional warrior society really got me thinking—so much so that I headcanoned a ritual (Riduurok Akaanir, “Lover’s Quarrel”) to help myself work it all out.
The general idea? On Mandalorian wedding nights, the bride and groom have a private duel. A duel to the death? Maybe if it’s an arranged marriage and one party really wants out and I’m gonna speculate that Bo-Katan widowed herself at least four times before running off to join Death Watch.
Tumblr media
More commonly, though, it’s just a playful act to embody love transcending conflict. Alrich Wren, for example, isn’t a traditional warrior, but Ursa didn’t assert her superior combat prowess on their wedding night by firing a wrist rocket at his face something Bo-Katan probably did to a few of the short-lived husbands Satine picked out for her. (“Parry this, you kriffing casual.”) Instead, I’d like to think Alrich and Ursa went through the basic motions of a hand-to-hand duel, not necessarily to prove who’s the better warrior, but as an intimate prelude to the actual consummation of their marriage—almost like a mutually disarming dance. (Could it be light-heartedly competitive? Sure! As the first Mando to perform the Riduurok Akaanir with a Jedi, Sabine would go all-out to make sure she doesn’t lose to Ezra! 😆) When the dance-duel ends, they set aside their warrior identities to become something more: husband and wife. It’s like a way of saying, “As Mandalorians, what we do is fight, but we’re more than mere weapons. We fight so we can love. We wear armor to protect ourselves, our homes, and our families. It’s an important part of who we are, but we’re ultimately made of flesh and blood, not cold beskar.”
So that’s the point of Riduurok Akaanir, a term I came up with using this nifty English to Mando’a online translator (before I just called it “Wedding Night Fight” in my head). It’s not supposed to be a blanket explanation—but intimacy and vulnerability don’t have clear utility in a warrior culture, and this is my best attempt at bridging that perceived gap.
If you made it down this far without dozing off, enjoy this Sabezra incorrect quote! 😁
Fenn Rau: I trust that Sabine briefed you on Mandalorian wedding customs?
Ezra: Yep! I know exactly how not to get myself killed before officially becoming a married man.
Rau: The trick is not getting yourself killed *after* becoming a married man. Did she explain what happens on the wedding night?
Ezra: Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
Rau:
Ezra:...yeahthatsnotreallysomethingIneedorwantSabinetoexplaintomeandKanankindofgavemethelowdownbackduringmyJeditrainingdayssoIthinkIknowwhattodobutthanksanyway.
Rau: Kanan taught you about the Mandalorian ‘lover’s quarrel,’ then? His instruction was even more thorough that I imagined. Or maybe he always knew you and Sabine would end up together.
Ezra: Sorry, did you say...?
Rau: The Rite of Riduurok Akaanir is usually non-fatal. Sabine seems to be genuinely fond of you, so I’m sure you’ll survive to see the sunrise.
Ezra:
Ezra:
Ezra: Oh kriff.
