This all new premium downloadable content mode features the retro gameplay of Classic Mode with a larger map, more enemies, and new storyline that begins where Ritual of the Night ends. Dominique may have been defeated, but she is not finished. Banished to Limbo, she must steal Bael’s power if she hopes to escape to the mortal realm and take her revenge! Explore a massive new map with retro gameplay that takes Classic Mode to a whole new level.

Acquire valuable abilities and artifacts that will add to Dominique’s power. Speak to friendly demons to gather clues, but beware the waning moon! When the moon changes, friends become foes.

Here, the titular team are these people called Shardbinders- people who have the ability to harness power from Shards. They’re also afflicted with a curse by Alchemists that crystallizes their very skin but gives them the ability to absorb the crystals from demons that turns into new powers to use as they wish.

Anyways, I made this because I wanted to. Hope you can use my designs in fanart!

Anyways; if you wanna know what Bloodstained Ritual of The Night is, it’s a Kickstarter spiritual successor to Castlevania.

This game released more than four years ago, and they're still pumping out free DLC to meet Kickstarter stretch goals.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is on its way to becoming one of the longest ongoing Kickstarter fulfillments at this rate! I suppose the obvious point of comparison is Shovel Knight, which took 5.5 years to meet all its Kickstarter stretch goals (and which is, just like Bloodstained: RotN, friggin' fantastic).

Both games kept me coming back to enjoy them again and again courtesy of all these updates. For that reason, I'm grateful for their efforts. There's been some really special additions since that first release, and all of them thus far are available to ANYONE who owns the game.

I actually edited the above message slightly because it originally contained a video announcement (including an apology for how long development is taking) with a preview of upcoming DLC; feel free to click that link to watch it.

It seems they're gonna make some paid DLC, too! I'm definitely paying for that "Classic Mode 2." That looks GREAT. (Might pay to put Miram in a Magical Girl costume, too, bc that's just funny.)

Miriam, of the wonderful smash hit indie franchise Bloodstained! Although I had no means of backing it myself, it was easily my most anticipated game of last decade since I first saw several of my favorite YouTubers at the time talk about its Kickstarter campaign.

...and let me tell you, if even a rough Switch port still managed to be an immensely enjoyable experience before patching, you've got a damn fantastic game on your hands. Please give it a shot if you haven't already. ...or y'know, buy the Circle of the Moon games if you love retro action games, they'll scratch that itch real good.

And, for the sake of letting you know that I'm genuinely improving with my art and preserving it, here is a previous Miriam piece I did in 2020. It's uh... not especially good, but never mind that!

The version 1.5 update for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will launch on May 9 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and on May 16 for Switch, publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay announced. It will be the game’s final update

The update will contain new game modes “Chaos Mode” and “Versus Mode,” and one free cosmetic pack. Three premium downloadable content cosmetic packs for Miriam will also launch alongside the update.

■ Version 1.5 Update

Update 1.5 will contain two new game modes, and one free cosmetic pack. Along with this, three premium downloadable content Miriam cosmetic packs will be available for purchase. This will be the final update to the game.

Chaos Mode

“Chaos Mode” is local or online co-op action that you can play solo, with a friend or be matched with other players on the same system. Fight through a series of randomized rooms to defeat demons and bosses. Complete challenges before each boss to get powerful upgrades! How long will you survive?

Versus Mode

“Versus Mode” is a special player-versus-player mode created just for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. At the beginning of the match, players will enter a room exclusive to the match battle. Wave after wave of demons will begin to attack both players. When you defeat the demons, you will gain souls. Souls can be spent at the central statue (shop) to upgrade your weapons, armor or items. You will be able to purchase attacks that will negatively affect your opponent. Fill their room with fog, reverse their controls and more! The winner is the player that survives the longest. “Versus Mode” supports local and online play with friends or matchmaking with other players on the same platform. Please note that Chaos and Versus Modes do not support cross-platform play. More details on each game mode will be revealed when they go live.

Premium and Free Cosmetic Packs

Version 1.5 also includes three premium (paid) cosmetic packs and one free pack for Miriam that will change her appearance in the game.

Each cosmetic pack has multiple unique clothing items and weapons, each with upgradeable stats. Premium Cosmetic Packs will be available for purchase on each platform’s online store. Equipping a complete set of cosmetic pack items will enable a special stat bar for that specific pack. Included with 1.5 is a free cosmetic pack for Miriam that will automatically be added to everyone’s inventory when it is released.

Premium downloadable content cosmetic pack assets will only download after purchase.

■ Premium Downloadable Content “Classic II: Dominique’s Curse”

Following the 1.5 update, we will release “Classic Mode II,” a premium downloadable content game mode! It brings the same retro-gameplay as “Classic Mode,” but with a bigger map and its own canon storyline! “Classic Mode II” assets will only download after purchase. More information on “Classic Mode II” will be provided when it is closer to release.

■ Kickstarter Rewards

“Chaos Mode” and “Versus Mode” are the final stretch goals for the game. Once these two modes are completed we will begin to work on the final physical reward remaining to be delivered: the physical PC version of the game. PC physical tier backers received a digital code to play the game when it was first released in June 2019, but they still need to receive their final physical reward. If there are any backers whose addresses has changed since the original backing registration, you will have to update your address through Fangamer’s survey portal. Please check your current address. If no update is sent, the assumption will be the address has not changed and the item will be shipped to the address on file. We will make announcements on Kickstarter before that deadline occurs. Except for the physical PC version of the game, all other rewards have been shipped. If you believe you are missing a reward, you can contact Fangamer via the reward survey linked above.

Avatar the Last Airbender

Episode 1: Aang

Starts off with fire benders chasing an earthbender. He had the fire nation's plans of attack. Turns out it was a distraction. Cut to Airbenders gathering for the comet festival. They tell Aang that he's the Avatar amid preparations. Later that night he feels he needs to clear his head. He gets trapped in a storm while the fire nation attacks the air nomads. Avatar State traps Aang in ice and the air nation is wiped out. Cut to Katara and Sokka in Wolf Cove. They go out to fish and find Aang. His arrival gets Zuko to come to the village. Aang surrenders then escapes. Katara and Sokka fly Appa to Aang and they leave Zuko in the dust.

Obviously only the first episode but it's definitely not as bad as people are saying it is. I think the first few minutes straight up tell you, this isn't the cartoon you know and love. There's going to be changes many don't like but it's an adaptation not a 1 to 1 retelling in a different format. The scenes of the fire nation burning people are brutal.
