One of my goals for this year is not arguing with terrible people on the internet, blocking them, and then carrying on with my day. So far, it's working and doing wonders to my mental health. 5 stars, highly recommend.

You've got to keep yourself safe on the internet. You've got to scroll past and ignore people. You've got to use the block button generously. You've got to prioritize your own well being. Social media can be a great place to meet new people and find support networks. Unfortunately, it's also full of wackos who know how to take advantage of hiding behind a screen.

People don’t know what roleplaying is. Astarion was evil from the start and he didn’t have good personality from the start. He wanted to ascend from the start. He is pretty happy after ascension. After 6 months, he is still pretty happy being Vampire Ascendant. There are choices Tav being happy with Ascended Astarion. Then it can be good ending. It can be headcanon happily ever after. However, they seem to understand what roleplaying is when it’s Spawn Astarion, so it’s pretty much people being the GIRLS are so easily influenced and need to be ‘protected’ but so many girls shut their brain and ‘delulu’ for evil MEN. Omg, It’s a fictional character. Let me roleplay it whatever i want. I didn’t spent my money to be lectured by holier-than-thou people.

I think one big double edge sword thing about BG3 being so big is that people who have never played a game like this (and/or haven't played DnD before in any capacity) get into it. And that's a GREAT thing by itself... but not so great when those are the same people preaching to you how the game works.

Anyway, you're very correct. It's a headache that I'm tired of arguing about honestly lol I mean, the game is a roleplaying game and our takes are 100% valid and canon-affirming, regardless of what other fans have to say against it, so when it comes down to it... none of the arguments or things anti-AA people say matters anyway lmao

The truth is the truth, even if no one believes it. But honestly I think the tide is slowly turning for a lot of fans who assumed they'd dislike AA because I see a lot of posts like "I heard he was awful so I always avoided it, but I finally ascended him and I actually love it!". I hope more people learn how to play and view the ending their own way, outside of the Hivemind Correct Think™️

Normalize blocking people for different reasons than only because they're harassing you.

Normalize blocking people who post content you don't like and don't want to see in your dash.

Normalize blocking people who talk about news and politics and anything you're escaping from when you're going on tumblr.

Normalize blocking tags and people who make content about that show, or ship, or game that you hate.

Normalize blocking blogs you simply don't vibe with, even when the person has not done anything wrong.

Normalize blocking someone who did nothing wrong just because you dislike them and seeing their ulr annoys you.

It doesn't always have to be because of some big valid reason, because they're harassing you or anything else like that. Not wanting to see something for litterally any reason is more than enough, it's valid.

I promise it doesn't make you a bad person, and your online experience will improve immensely.
